Today’s post features a gorgeous home on Ibiza, Spain. The outdoor areas are wonderful and very inviting. I love spending time outdoors and only wish we had a climate like in Spain so we could spend more time outside.

A note to readers wanting to rent a holiday home like this one: I only feature these gorgeous houses on my blog and I don’t know if the houses are for rent. I often receive messages from people saying that they want to rent the house and even giving me the exact dates. I am not a travel agent!

Houseboats are quite common in The Netherlands, especially in Amsterdam where you can find many houseboats along the canals (there are even houseboat hotels!). Most boats are spacious and stylish. Once inside you often don’t realize being on a boat. Only the movement of the water underneath you reminds that you are not on land.

Although it is still chilly outside, we are heading towards summer. Time for some outdoor inspiration! These images, shot by Dutch photographer Jeroen van der Spek, were featured in last year’s summer issue of interior magazine VT Wonen. I like the black & white theme which (to my surprise) creates a summery vibe.

I have a long list of DIY projects that I will do once I have a little bit more free time (which unfortunately isn’t in the near future..). These lovely heart elbow patches are high on this list! Aren’t they cute?! The technique used to make these is needle felting. You can find a tutorial here on Youtube.

Today I’m loving … these silver baskets. These baskets make a great summer accessory but they also look great in your home. You can actually spray paint the baskets yourself. Instructions can be found here on Martha Stewart’s website.

Last week I posted about the soon to be launched H&M Home Kids collection. Today I received some more images of the collection that will be available from July. In this first collection colorful items are combined with neutral tones. Materials used are soft knits, faux fur and organic cotton. There are some lovely items with star print which I have my eye on.

I love spring time and we have some lovely spring days here. But it is still chilly and I can’t wait for summer to arrive! In the mean time I selected some summer inspired images.

How cool is this! This art center for kids creates the perfect setting for drawing, crafts and creative activities. I would have loved this as a kid. Actually, I still would love to have one!
