According to the New York Post, Rhianna’s management team have been in negotiations with Topshop for 8 months trying to sort out the issue, however the Topshop have said, they will do whatever they like.  As a result international law firm Reed Smith have been instructed to deal with the matter.

Even though Rhianna doesn’t have much in terms of the law to support her, she has gone ahead to sue Topshop.  She has said she has already spend $1 million in court charges and it isn’t about the money but the principle.  Topshop are just ‘exploiting artists’ and making money from them.

The Topshop and Rhianna relationship might have turned sour of late, however back in 2010 she was rumoured to be in talks with Sir Philip Green to launch a fashion line for Topshop. She was also seen out socialising with Sir Philip’s daughter, Chloe Green. However in the end decided to design clothes for Topshop’s rivals River Island and Armani. So could this be Topshop’s way of getting back at Rhianna for not choosing their brand over River Island.

Evidence would suggest that there might have been some bitterness towards the singer as Topshop have always gained a large of amount of popularity from A-list celebrities such as Kate Moss and now Kate Bosworth so this maybe the case. However, like the UK laws suggest, Topshop has the support of the law to publish her images on their T-Shirts.

Topshop and Reed Smith declined to comment on the legal action. Rihanna’s representatives were not available for response.

Cate Blanchett was seen arriving for lunch at the hotel Arman with Giorgio Armani on Thursday and then later leaving holding hands with the man himself to go on an outing.

This professional relationship with the designer, hasn’t been the first as she has been seen in the past wearing Armani for red carpet appearances as well as also being the face of SK-11 skincare range. However, it will be the first for Cate as she signs herself up to the Armani fragrances.

Could the meeting have helped secure the fragrance signing on Thursday for Cate Blanchett? Well, the 44 year old actress was definitely dressed to impress for the lunch date with the legendary designer Giorgio Armani.

The 5 ft 8 inch tall Melbourne actress wore a stunning cream coloured flowing trouser suit for her lunch date. However, in true Hollywood style, Cate changed again into a black and white suit accompanied by Giorgio Armani.

As Giorgio Armani is known for their tailored suits, Cate Blanchett certainly was wearing the correct attire for her date with Giorgio Armani. Tailored suits with a touch of femininity, showed that Cate meant business but also wanted to look good.

Not only does Ms Blachett have the Armani fragrances campaign to look forward to, but just before her lunch date with Armani she had signed to play the lead in David Mamet’s new thriller Blackbird as well as signing to play Cinderella in Disney’s remake.

Before all you football fans start causing a riot, these are just rumours are there is speculation that he might start football coaching.  However, unlike many footballers out there, David Beckham’s post football career doesn’t only have to be confined to the football pitch.  Instead, rumours are that David Beckham might venture into the fashion world. He is certainly not a stranger to style and fashion and is now classed a successful style icon.

He hasn’t always made the headlines for his fabulous style though. Remember the sarongs, the braided hair? Ridiculed by the fashion world and beyond, David Beckham managed to cement his stamp as an international style icon when he was awarded the ultimate “metro sexual” by Salon Magazine in 2002.

Since then he launched his fragrance in 2005.  He did it with the company that also licenses his wife Victoria’s perfumes. The couple then started a joint fragrance line, Intimately Beckham, a year later and were paid $13.7 million.  As well as fragrances, he has modelled for famous brands such as Giorgio Armani and Adidas and more recently started his underwear line with H&M.

With such a vast array of fashion credentials under his belt should David Beckham follow the same career as his wife Victoria Beckham who is a respected fashion designer? Her designs have been worn by famous celebrities such as Olivia Palmero and Cheryl Cole. As well as owning her own fashion brand, she has designed exclusively for Net-a-Porter.

David Beckham is certainly not a stranger to fashion and style.  Wherever he goes, he looks amazing!  Apart for his good looks David Beckham has style and charisma, which makes every man envious.  He looks great whether he is causally shopping with his children and wife or dressed for a red carpet event.

He may have been ridiculed for his fashion sense in the past, he is never afraid to try something different and that what sets him apart from other male icons.  He hasn’t been born into fashion but taken steps to ensure that he has is seen as a male style icon in his own right.

His 10 year old son is following in footsteps also and has already modelled for the likes of Burberry, so will David Beckham pursue a career as a fashion designer for the male genere.  There is certainly a massive market especially as men are become more and more concious with their appearance.  I think the fashion world needs a designer who is will appeal to the every day man.  A man not born into fashion but who has embraced it.

We already caught a sneaky peak of her Topshop collection when Kate Botsworth attended the Cochella festival in California wearing a cute laser-cut vest and shorts combo.

The relationship between her and Topshop started when she sung in Topshop’s festive campaign for Christmas, shot also by her fiancé Michael Polish. Topshop’s creative director, Kate Phelan explained how Kate came in the day after the Christmas shoot to show them her ultimate festival outfits and they just took it from there.

She spoke about her new collaboration with Topshop and said, “the design team and I thought a lot about the festival season, and, particularly with this collection, a lot of it was about the California girl. Obviously the perfect place to wear it was Coachella.”

Not only will the pieces go on sale shortly but she will offer her take on how best to wear the range through a short interactive film, named, The Road to Cochella, directed by Polish again. Each item which is featured in the video will be available to buy online including the soundtrack which can be downloaded from iTunes.

However, as well as soundtrack, interactive videos to showcase the Kate Bosworth collection, Topshop will host a series of secret pop up gigs from exciting emerging talents at various locations all over the world, to randomly selected customers, so if you’re fan of music, fashion and of course Kate Bosworth then prepared to watch this space as more will be revealed later this month…

For all you trekie fans it looks as though the next installment of Star Trek will be waiting for you to watch on your cinema screens right now, however for us it’s not only about the movie but about the premiere.  So last night in LA all the stars were in their post frocks attending the premiere of, ‘Star Trek: Into Darkness’ last night.

Like any event which involves celebrities we always like to take a look at what the stars were wearing.  When it comes to premieres, all eyes are on the leading lady, who was Zoe Saldana and what she was wearing.

Zoe decided to keep it sheer by wearing a beige see through dress by Rodarte to the premiere.  The dress showed off Zoe Saldana super flat stomach, which I must admit does make us green with envy!  I am not a big fan of frills, however against Zoe Saldana’s golden skin, the beige dress looked great.

To complete her outfit she wore some orange and beige strappy sandals by Oscar Tiye as well as Jimmy Choo clutch.  As the outfit was in such neutral colour, she decided to add a little bling to her outfit by wearing some Aurelie Bidermann jewels.

The USS Enterprise is sent to Planet Nibiru to observe a pre-warp civilization. Kirk and Spock attempt to save the inhabitants from an imminent volcano eruption which would wipe out the civilization. When Spock’s life is jeopardized, Captain James T. Kirk breaks the Prime Directive, exposing the Enterprise to the planet’s civilization during Spock’s rescue. A number of indigenous people begin to worship the ship as it leaves. Called back to Earth, Kirk is demoted to First Officer and Admiral Christopher Pike re-assumes command of the Enterprise. In London, Starfleet agent John Harrison bombs a secret “Section 31″ installation. In San Francisco, Pike and his first officer attend an emergency meeting of high ranking officers at Starfleet headquarters. The meeting is attacked by a gunship piloted by Harrison, who kills Pike. Kirk destroys the gunship, but Harrison flees.

With Pike dead, Admiral Alexander Marcus authorizes Kirk to hunt down Harrison, who has used transwarp beaming and fled to the Klingon homeworld of Kronos. Since Kronos lies deep in Klingon territory and the Federation is on the brink of war with the Klingon Empire, the Enterprise is supplied with 72 long-range prototype photon torpedoes, and is ordered to fire them at Harrison’s location once he is found. Thinking that the torpedoes could be dangerous to the ship, Montgomery “Scotty” Scott refuses to take them aboard and tenders his resignation, whereupon Pavel Chekov is promoted to Chief Engineer. Admiral Marcus’ daughter, scientist Carol Marcus, joins the crew under a false identity.

Arriving at the Klingon homeworld, the Enterprise’s warp core malfunctions. With repairs underway, Kirk, Spock and Uhura use a previously commandeered trader ship to reach Kronos. After being detected by Klingon patrol ships, the three are forced to land. Despite Uhura’s attempts to negotiate, the Klingons prepare to kill the trio. Harrison wipes out the Klingons and confronts the landing party, but surrenders after learning the precise number of photon torpedoes aimed at him.

Returning to the Enterprise, Harrison reveals his real identity: Khan Noonien Singh, a genetically augmented superhuman, who has been in cryo sleep for 300 years after his unsuccessful war to have his superhuman comrades rule the Earth. He advises Kirk to examine the 72 prototype torpedoes and also tells him a set of spatial coordinates. Kirk orders Leonard McCoy to examine the torpedoes, and contacts Scotty on Earth to check the coordinates. The torpedoes are found to each contain a genetically-engineered human in cryo sleep – the remaining members of Khan’s colleagues. Khan explains that Admiral Marcus awakened him to use his superior intellect and savagery to develop advanced weapons for a war with the Klingons, keeping his colleagues as hostages. Kirk realizes that the Enterprise warp core had been sabotaged on Admiral Marcus’ orders, making the covert operation to kill Khan a one-way ticket.

Scotty arrives at the coordinates and finds a secret Starfleet shipyard, which he infiltrates. The Enterprise’s warp core is repaired, but the ship is soon confronted by an unregistered Federation battleship, the USS Vengeance – a massive vessel built for combat which dwarfs the Enterprise. Admiral Marcus reveals himself as the commander of Vengeance, demanding Kirk hand over Khan. Kirk refuses, and Enterprise warps toward Earth, to have Khan stand trial.
Enterprise is attacked by Vengeance in Earth’s orbit. With Enterprise severely damaged, Kirk offers to hand over Khan and the 72 bodies in cryo sleep in exchange for the lives of his crew. Marcus refuses, beams his daughter to Vengeance, and orders the destruction of Enterprise—when Vengeance suddenly suffers complete power outage, caused by Scotty who had boarded the ship at the secret shipyard. As the Enterprise weapons are too damaged to continue the fight, and knowing that Khan was the designer of Vengeance, Kirk allies himself with Khan and boards the ship. They reunite with Scotty and take the bridge. Meanwhile, Spock contacts Spock Prime to learn of Khan’s history and how to defeat him. Khan betrays Kirk and takes control of Vengeance, killing Admiral Marcus. Khan negotiates with Spock, beaming Kirk and his boarding party back to the Enterprise in exchange for the 72 cryo torpedoes.

Khan plans to destroy Enterprise, but Spock reveals that real – and armed – torpedoes were beamed to Vengeance, keeping the cryo pods on Enterprise. The torpedoes incapacitate Vengeance and anger Khan, who thinks that his 72 colleagues have been killed. Both ships start descending towards Earth’s surface. At the cost of his life, Kirk re-aligns the warp core, enabling the crew to regain control of Enterprise. Vengeance crashes into downtown San Francisco, but does not kill Khan. Khan tries to escape in the chaos, but is pursued by Spock. McCoy discovers that Khan’s blood may reanimate Kirk and Uhura prevents Spock from killing Khan, capturing him instead.

In the aftermath, Kirk is revived and returns to duty as Captain of Enterprise. Khan is sealed into his cryo pod and stored away with the rest of his crew. As the film ends, a restored Enterprise is re-christened and departs for a 5-year mission of exploration.

Alexander McQueen has always been a famous name in the fashion world; however one of their biggest claims to fame came when Sarah Burton from Alexander McQueen, designed the wedding dress of Kate Middleton.  Since then, the world has been encapsulated by the eclectic style, which is why it comes as no surprise that they want to expand to other regions of the globe.

Currently the designer only ships to 30 countries, however with the launch of their new look website, the expansion couldn’t have come at a better time.  Customers from Hong Kong, Japan, Canada and India can all shop online for Alexander McQueen goodies for the very first time.

As well as expanding their shipping areas, the launch of the new website will also feature new localised language versions of the website, which include French, German, Italian and Japanese.

The site’s redesign will provide a “more cohesive vision and clearer navigation” for visitors, across both the Alexander McQueen mainline and McQ diffusion brands.  As well as a chance for customers to buy from the brand, it will also include archives of catwalk stills, videos, look book imagery and advertising.

Although it was Mother’s Day in the UK for us in March, for the rest of the world this weekend, it was Mother’s Day!  So for all you gorgeous mummy’s out there, I hope you had a fantastic Mother’s day.

One yummy mummy, which we always love for her looks and style is the gorgeous Jessica Alba.  As a mother of two she looks amazing in whatever she wears, so it was not a surprise to us when this weekend she was out celebrating Mother’s day with her beautiful family and also decided to treat her mother to come along for brunch at the Bel-Air Hotel.

The 32-year-old actress looked lovely in a beige halter maxi-dress fastened with a brown belt, and platform peep-toe heels.

Her hair was down, perfect for a relaxed lunch on a Spring day. As we loved her look so much we decided to copy it. Check it out below…

As well as Jessica looking amazing, her family was well coordinated and looking gorgeous too. Her four year old daughter Honor matched her famous mother in an embroidered beige spring frock and pale pink flats.

Jessica’s 34-year-old husband, Cash Warren, wore a navy checkered shirt, cuffed khakis, and navy boat shoes. He held the couple’s one-year-old baby Haven who wore a pale pink baby-doll dress, matching bow in her red hair, and silver shoes.

And not forgetting Jessica’s mother who stood out from the rest of the family wearing a cobalt blue maxi dress and white cardigan.

We at StyleClone have been amongst the majority that have criticised Kim Kardashian for her pregnancy style.  Ever since she announced her pregnancy, her outfits have been the most talked about in the fashion world.

Unlike other pregnant women, such as Kate Middleton, who has gracefully made the transition to a pregnant lady; thinking about style and comfort, Kim Kardashian has decided to stick to her skin-tight dresses and stiletto heels.  Admittedly she has tried to go for more free flowing outfits especially as she approaches the last few months of her pregnancy, however after her recent interview with Grazia, the star has revealed that she is not confident about her pregnant body.

After that comment, we do feel a tad bit guilty for criticising Kim for her pregnancy wardrobe choices.  I can especially relate as I often found it a struggle to make wardrobe choices when I was pregnant.  However rather than buying specialist maternity wear I went for sizes which were slightly larger and with my jeans I refused to wear maternity wear as they just fit badly on my body where I hadn’t put much weight on apart from my bump.

One of the things which you will notice on our Facebook page which we had a giggle over was Kim Kardashian’s Met Ball outfit by Roccardo Tisci from Givenchy.  Her floral frock was compared to lounge furniture as well as Mrs Doubfire.  However, the Givenchy designer defended the look, ‘I wanted to have a moment of family: Kim, Kanye and the baby,’ said the designer. ‘We should give her our punk moment with a romantic beautiful flower-printed dress. I have dressed many pregnant women in the past. To me, pregnancy is the most beautiful thing in the world, and when you celebrate something, you give people flowers. I think she looked amazing. She was the most beautiful pregnant woman I dressed in my career.’

We certainly agree with you regarding the Kim Kardashian being the most beautiful pregnant woman, however the no matter what Mr Tisci, intention was, it was definitely a look, which I am really sorry Kim Kardashian cannot be excused for.  Pregnant or not Kim should have known better and at least have looked in the wardrobe and thought my dress is actually blending into my furniture?

This is not only a first for Nicole Kidman appearing in the Jimmy Choo campaign, but it will also mark the first season for Sandra Choi who took over as sole creative director for the brand.

Choi released a statement today saying, “Nicole is one of the finest actresses in the world, who I knew could convey the empowered glamour of the brand. But she is also so nuanced and refined; she brings an attitude of defiance, strength, sensuality and elegance.”

The ads, shot by Mikael Jansson, will be showcased in August issues and have said to have a ‘cinematic feel that hints at power and seduction’.

However, the 45 year old actress has suffered some backlash from as a recent article published in the Huffington post, disagreeing with choosing Nicole Kidman for the Jimmy Choo brand.

Picturing Nicole Kidman, who is described by Jimmy Choo’s creative director as ‘naunced and refined’s is something which is a contrast to the previous ‘brash and sexy’ Jimmy Choo brand. Can the 45 year old Hollywood actress pull it off or has Choi change in direction going to be detrimental to the Jimmy Choo brand?

Nicole Kidman has a good accolade of fashion campaigns under her belt as previously she has modelled for Chanel No.5 and Omega watches, however these are more classy brands, so this project for Jimmy Choo will definitely be out of Nicole’s comfort zone. That said Nicole Kidman is an award winning actress and like any actress she will be undoubtedly be able to get herself into character prove her critics wrong.

It would seem that babies are on everyone’s mind at the moment.  We are eagerly awaiting the arrival of Kim Kardashian’s as well as Kate Middleton’s babies in a couple of months, however rumours have been circulating that Beyonce is expecting her child.

She gave birth to her first baby, Ivy 15 months ago, and since having her first, Beyonce has made it no secret that she wants more children after her recent interview with Good Morning America, so could she be pregnant again?

Well, speculation regarding the pregnancy first started when Beyonce wore a black and gold Givenchy gown with a full skirt which covered her stomach.

As well as this, a fan snapped a picture of her and posted it Twitter last week showing a tiny bump coming out of her blue glittery jumpsuit. So is this baby bump or just excess bump from her previous birth?

Well, I for one think it is excess bump.  I know most mothers will agree, but since having my daughter I haven’t managed to shift my baby fat so this could just be the same of Beyonce?  Also, despite the evidence, to confirm things, a source told People.com today that Beyonce and Jay-Z are planning a second baby but not after Beyonce’s tour.

So as her tour finishes on August will we be seeing her pregnancy announcement very soon after?  We will certainly watching out for more news.
