El otro día iba de esta guisa vestida de librería en librería buscando libros de Kenneth Anger y Anton LaVey, me miraban con suspicacia y preguntaban si era eso lo que estaba buscando. Realmente el ser humano es experto en poner etiquetas por la imagen de alguien pero, lección a aprender número uno: casi nada y casi nadie es lo que parece.

Un compañero actor me invitó a uno de sus performances que hacía en una sala de la ciudad conocida por su caracter transgresor, al acabar estaba preocupado por si 'me había afectado' ya que yo soy como frágil o algo. Me pasa mucho, es como la etiqueta de pija ¿Qué significa? en realidad todo el mundo se preocupa por su imagen, incluso el que no se preocupa ya está creando también una imagen, pijos hay de muchos tipos.

En el colegio esto iba bien porque cuando no hacía algo correctamente, los profesores antes de pensar que lo había hecho de manera voluntaria, pensaban que estaba enferma o algo raro había pasado. Un profesor de historia de uno de mis tres colegios (me va el cambio) me dijo una vez: 'no crea usted, señorita, que esa sonrisa que pone cuando le pregunto va a servirle de ayuda para aprobar la asignatura', o durante la carrera que casi todos mis exámenes eran orales, aprendí que un 40% era la actitud, un profesor me dijo 'si te vas a inventar el artículo del Código Civil al decirlo en el examen, al menos dilo con seguridad, convencida de lo que dices, con decisión', puro teatro, me encantaba (el otro tanto por cien es estudio, estudio y más estudio, no se vayan ustedes a creer)

En fin, de primeras impresiones venía a hablar y me he desviado, hoy uno de mis vestidos preferidos, de esos que ayudan en un examen a dar buena imagen y que descolocan en los perfomances más agresivos. Me gusta muchísimo, es de Kling. Los zapatos de Compañía Fantástica que el otro día no se veían bien.

El título del post es en honor a Huxley y tambien al grupo The Doors que a su vez lo cogieron de William Blake y su libro "The Marriage of Heaven and Hell": 'If the doors of perception were cleansed, evetything would appear to man as it is, infinite"

Quería explicaros por qué ahora llamo Rosauro a mi perra Cala pero mejor haced click AQUÍ, es por el hijo de Eloísa y Abelardo, inquilinos de Doña Tomasa, la misma que con fruición, va y alquiló su mansión. Rosauro es el bebé que se crió comiendo turrón de Alicante y tiene una dentadura que todo lo destroza...

'Enter the session' and good news

Dentro de poco hará 5 años que me embarqué en HT Producciones, muchos de vosotros ya sabéis cómo empezó todo y qué proyectos audiovisuales hemos llevado a cabo en equipo o el director Miguel Ángel Font en solitario durante este tiempo, para los que no lo sepan os voy a contar brevemente.

Todo empezó con un casting al que me presenté para ser la actriz de un cortometraje (todavía guardo el cartel que lo anunciaba), fue así como conocí a los integrantes de HT y grabé mi primer corto como actriz. A partir de ahí y con muchísimos vídeos de temáticas diferentes, además de un año en Roma y mis colaboraciones no solo como actriz sino como productora, asesora legal (para algo estudié Derecho), maquilladora, diseñadora de vestuario, fotógrafa de making of o apoyo moral (eh, también es necesario) hemos llegado a este punto, el día en que HT -encabezada siempre por Miguel Ángel como director/realizador/y mucho más- ha enfocado gran parte de sus producciones a los fashion films.

El haber creado este blog tiene algo que ver en todo ello pero mejor que lo descubráis en la entrevista que MAHAL STYLE le ha hecho a Miguel Ángel (click), así conoceréis mejor no solo sus influencias en el cine o su vida sino qué papel tengo yo en todo esto.

In a few days it's going to be the 5th anniversary of HT Productions, many of you already know how it all started and wich audiovisual projects we have made teamworking or the director Miguel Ángel Font alone during this time, if someone doesn't know it, I'll tell you briefly.

Evetything started with a casting that I got for a short film actress character (I still have the advertisement poster) and there I met the HT members and I recorded my first short film like an actress. From that moment on, and with many different thematic videos, one year living in Rome and my contribution not only as an actress but as producer, legal advice (I'm lawyer), makeup artist, costume designer, making of photographer or psychological support (hey, it's also necessary) we got until this point, the day when HT -always leaded by Miguel Ángel Font director/producer/and many other things- has focused a lot of their productions to fashion films.

The creation of this blog has something to do with it but I prefer that you can discover it in the interview that Mahal Style has done to Miguel Ángel (click), and you can know better who he is, his film inspirations and what role I have in all this.

MAHAL STYLE es una página de San Diego dedicada a la moda, el arte y el cine de moda en su sentido más amplio, os recomiendo que naveguéis por ella un rato y descubráis la cantidad de contenidos interesantes que tienen. Brainy is the new sexy

El título del post sacado de Sherlock y que inunda millones de Tumblr es probablemente la conclusión a la pregunta ¿qué es sexy o qué significa serlo?, que hoy quiero plantear.

This post's title which is inspired in Sherlock and which is, in addition, flooding million Tumblrs, probably is the conclusion to the questions: What is sexy? or what means to be sexy?. That's the item I want to deal with today.

Todo viene porque cuando fui así vestida alguien me dijo que me miraba y solo era capaz de ver renos, sin embargo otra persona decía que no podía parar de mirar cuando pasaba por su lado porque le parecía un look sexy (no dijo la palabra look ni estas son frases textuales porque ambos eran chicos así que podéis sustituir el 'sexy' por 'estar buena', lo digo sin acritud). Otro amigo me dijo una vez al escucharme hablar italiano por primera vez que le parecía sexy (podéis volverlo a sustituir por 'me pone escucharte hablar italiano'), muchos amigos cuando ven sesiones de fotos hipersexualizadas (que lo son para adaptarse al concepto general de atracción en la sociedad) se les ponen los ojos como platos y dicen 'por qué vas siempre en vaqueros y suéter enorme, tendrías que ir siempre así, no te reconozco', por 'ASÍ' entendemos ir en ropa interior y tacones o ir todo el día sacando culo... cosas que pasan.

El caso es que he conocido también a chicos con una apreciación mucho más interesante de lo que es ser sexy o atractiva, una vez uno me dijo que le gustaban los cuellos y el pelo recogido, otro que odiaba el maquillaje y otro que le parecía sexy el movimiento de las manos al escribir en un teclado de ordenador, la naturalidad, un levísimo movimiento de pelo o detalles minúsculos propios de la persona que solo se aprecian al observarla detenidamente, ESTO sí es ser SEXY, in my opinion que diría Will Gardner.

In fact, when I was dressed as you can see in these pictures, somebody told me that he was watching me and he was not able to see other thing than reindeers, however another one told me that he was not able to stop watching me when I was walking near of him because it seemed a sexy look for him (well, really he did not say the word 'look' and these phrases are not textual because I am talking about boys in both cases, so you must replace 'sexy' by 'hot', I say it with no bitterness). Another friend once told me that when listening me speaking italian for the first time in his life was sexy for him (you can replace those words again with 'I get horny when listening you speaking italian'), many friends of mine when they see some photoshoots (sometimes) hyper-sexualized (in order to be adapted to the generalized social concept of attraction) got a wide-eyed face and say: 'why are you always dressed with jeans and big sweaters? you should wear always like THIS, I don't recognize you'. When they say 'like this' they mean going in lingerie and heels or going the whole day with sexy walk... it happens.

Anyway I've also met guys with a more interesting appreciation about the meaning of being sexy or attractive, once one of these guys told me that he liked necks and hair pulled back, another one told me he hated make up and another said that for him it was sexy the movement of hands when writing on a computer keyboard, the naturalness, a very slight hair movement or personal specific qualities that one can appreciate only when watching the person closer, yes, 'THIS' is the meaning of 'SEXY', in my opinion, as Wil Gardner would say.

Lo que queda claro es que es algo totalmente subjetivo. Al igual que la belleza, el concepto sexy ha ido evolucionando a lo largo de la historia o las civilizaciones, se han podido apreciar sus cambios en obras artísticas, por ejemplo. Sin embargo y como decía antes, hay un concepto bastante generalizado basado muchas veces en desnudez y exageración. La cuestión está en enseñar cacha (tenía ganas de poner esta frase para traducirla luego al inglés) y es algo que hablaba con una amiga el otro día, esa obsesión por la delantera, pero creo que eso es algo más biológico, no sé.

It is clear that we are talking about something completely subjective. Like beauty, sexy concept has evolver throughout history of civilizations and it is possible to see it in the art evolution, for example. However, as I said before, there is a fairly general concept often based on nudity and exaggeration. The question is about show'em what you got (I wanted to use this phrase to translate it to english, difficult to me!XD) and it is something that I commented with a female friend some days ago, this obsession with boobs, but I think that this is more biological, I don't know.

Luego hay otra vertiente que considera sexy esa elegancia tan francesa, nostálgica o esos personajes indies femeninos de película en pequeños pueblos de EEUU que se sientan descalzas en sus porches con el pelo despeinado al viento, a mí este concepto me gusta mucho más pero en definitiva opino que el tener la cabeza bien amueblada es lo más sexy que existe, eso y la actitud ante la vida. Si tú te ves atractiva con una camiseta enorme, póntela, a quien no le guste que no mire, cansada estoy del 'oh Dios no llevas pendientes hoy? no llevas tacón? no llevas falda? sacrilegio' pues mira no, que cada uno lleve lo que quiera si se ve bien, nada más atractivo que la personalidad.

There is another men group believing that 'sexy' has to do with french elegance, nostalgic or with those indie characters in USA small towns sitting on their front porches as one can see in some movies, barefoot, with the tousled hair in the wind, I really like this concept more than another one, but definitely I think that having a solid head on shoulders is the sexiest thing, and having attitude in life. If you feel attractive with a big t-shirt, wear it, not matter what people think about it, I'm tired listening 'Oh Gosh, don't you wear earrings today? Don't you wear heels? You wear no skirt? Sacrilege' Well, no, wear that you want if you feel good with that, nothing sexiest than personality.

Esto se traslada también a los hombres pero hablo desde mi punto de vista como objetivo continuo al que considerar o no atractivo, la mujer y su físico siempre en el punto de mira.

Y tú ¿qué consideras sexy? últimamente estamos por aquí hablando mucho de esto pero, sinceramente, el mundo de la imagen junto a la industria del entretenimiento giran en torno a ello continuamente, es algo que está muy patente en mi vida.

Os presento a mi nuevo amigo, lo he descubierto en un árbol cerca de casa, se llama Chipmunk (no me he calentado mucho el cráneo buscando nombre)

This theory is also applicable for men but I am speaking from my woman perspective as a continuous target to be considered attractive or not, women and their look always in the front sight.

What do you consider sexy? I'm talking a lot about that on this blog but the world of images and the entertainment industry turn around it continuously, it is something that is very present in my life.

PD2. Esta casa es la de un vecino y es posiblemente la casa de mis sueños, la tienen casi abandonada, qué pena.

Ginger Bread Man

¿Quién dijo que las galletas del hombre de jengibre son solo para Navidad? Aquí mi receta de galletas caseras:

Ingredientes

Harina oo 160 gr

Azúcar 40 gr

Mantequilla blanda 50 gr

Melaza 55 ml (o 30 g de miel)

1/2 huevo entero (30 gr)

1/2 cucharadita de bicarbonato de sodio

1 pizca de sal

1 cucharadita de jengibre molido

1/2 cucharadita de canela molida

Una pizca de nuez moscada molida

Una pizca de clavo molido

Para el glaseado

Azúcar de lustre 100gr

Clara de huevo

Colorantes alimentarios

Procedimiento

En un recipiente mezclar bien la harina con las especias, el bicarbonato y la sal.

Por separado, trabajar con la batidora la mantequilla con el azúcar hasta obtener un compuesto batido y espumoso. Añadir el huevo y la melaza (o la miel) siempre mezclando. Unir las especias un poco por vez obteniendo una mezcla muy blanda.

Precalentar el horno a 190º

Colocar el molde (el mío es de www.silikomart.com) sobre la parrilla del horno y, con ayuda de una manga pastelera, poner la mezcla en el molde llenándolo hasta 2/3 de su altura. Cocer en el horno durante 15 minutos. Las galletas estarán listas cuando no estén muy blandas y los bordes empiezan a colorarse. Sacarlas y dejarlas enfriar, una vez frías se coloca el glaseado de color.

Who says gingerbread men are just for Christmas? Here's my recipe for homemade ginger biscuits:

Ingredients

160g plain flour

40g sugar

50g soft butter

55 ml treacle (or 30g honey)

1/2 egg (30g)

1/2 tsp bread soda

A pinch of salt

1 tsp ground ginger

1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

A pinch of ground nutmeg

A pinch of ground cloves

For the coloured icing

100g icing sugar

Egg white

Food colouring

Procedure

In a large bowl, thoroughly mix the spices, bread soda and salt into the flour. In a separate bowl, beat the butter and the sugar with a whisk, until firm and frothy.

Add the egg and treacle (or honey), and mix well.

Fold in the flour a little at time, until the mixture is smooth.

Preheat the oven to 190ºC

Place the mould (mine from www.silikomart.com) on the oven shelf and, using a piping bag, 2/3 fill the mould with the mixture. Bake for approximately 15 minutes.

The biscuits are ready when they don't feel too soft to the touch and the edges start to brown.

Take out of the oven and let it cool in the mould, then unmould onto the shelf and allow to cool completely.

When cold, the biscuits may be decorated with icing sugar.

Making of Nostalgic Shirts

La semana pasada hicimos las fotos del catálogo para El Armario de Lulú y, como en la edición pasada, volví a posar con sus camisetas y también con su primera colección de zapatos. Pasamos la mañana entre lazos, calcetines, medias y focos, Vanesa Tapias fue la encargada de maquillarme y qué lujo de manos tiene!

Aquí os dejo algunas imágenes de making of, no voy a enseñaros mucho más de la colección ahora porque aún no ha visto la luz el catálogo pero sí este pequeño adelanto. Nada más que decir, os dejo opinar a vosotros! :)

Last week we got the pictures for El armario de Lulu catalogue and, like the last session for them, I'm the model and I've posed with their t-shirts and with their first shoes collection also. We spent the morning among bows, socks, tights and studio lights, Vanesa Tapias was the make up artist and what an amazing talent she has!

Here I post some 'making of' pictures, I'm not going to show you more of this collection because the catalogue is still under production. Nothing more to say, I leave you to comment! :)

What kind of bird are you?

Venía a escribir algo sobre el color amarillo o mostaza cuando he visto un banner de hoy en el lateral que va sobre complementos amarillos, eso tiene que ser que se han alineado los astros por lo menos.

Y mientras escribo veo parpadear objetos amarillos y me estoy volviendo loca, el caso es que llevo unos días pensando en mostaza, en la salsa y el color, además llegó a mí el trailer de la nueva película de Wes Anderson 'Moonrise Kingdom' y me quedé anonadada (de nuevo) por su calidad estética y sentido del humor, además hay mucho mostaza, muchísimo. Si os fijáis en el trailer hay un vaso con líquido amarillo en un plano cenital del niño con el mapa... pañuelos al cuello, campos de trigo, filtros cálidos en la imagen, veo mostaza, quiero ver la película YA.

I was about to write something about the colour yellow or mustard when I've seen a today's banner on the side dealing with yellow accessories, that has to be because the stars have got aligued, at least.

As I write I see yellow objects flashing and I'm going crazy, the fact is that I have a few days thinking about mustard, both the sauce and the colour, I also got the trailer of the new Wes Anderson movie 'Moonrise Kingdom' and I got stunned (again) by the esthetic quality and sense of humor of it, there is also much mustard, a lot. If you look at the trailer carefully there is a glass wirh a yellow liquid wich appears in a overhead shot showing the kid with the map... neckerchiefs, wheat fields, warm image filters, I see mustard, I already wanna watch the movie.

Es mi color. It's my colour.

Interesante 'Beginners', de donde son estas dos últimas imágenes (4 y 5). Todo merece la pena, incluso el perrillo.

Hablando de perros, mención especial al actor canino de The Artist que ya es experto en desfilar por alfombras rojas, espero que lo cuiden muy bien porque con tanto viaje en avión y exigencias estará agotado, la pajarita le queda perfecta.

Cala está celosa y se ha tiznado la frente a modo de reivindicación (cosas de perros).

Talking about dogs, special mention deserves the acine actor of 'The Artist' wich is an expert on red carpets, I hope they care him very well beacause he must be exhausted with so many airplane travels and so many requirements, the bow tie is perfect.

La capa que llevo es de Vero Moda y que está arrugada es un hecho, no hace falta reseñarlo (tampoco que llueve). A la próxima no salto, prometido.

En la entrada anterior se me olvidó explicar algunas cosas, bueno no se me olvidó pero no lo vi necesario. Quizá ya es hora de escribir un poco más porque al fin y al cabo las entradas que más me gustan de la historia de mi blog (vamos a ponernos egocéntricos va, que esto se supone que es un egoblog, qué absurdo, si ego tiene todo el mundo) son aquellas en las que más he escrito.

Me gustan los suéters con camisa blanca debajo porque me llevan al pasado; me recuerdan a las películas clásicas, a los uniformes de colegios de niñas que veo en fotos antiguas de mi familia, me gusta porque además en las portadas del nuevo Lula Magazine también lo usan (cosa que acabo de descubrir hace un segundo, aún no había visto el nuevo número).

Me gusta porque sé que a muchos les disgusta y eso a mí me hace feliz. No porque me guste tocar la moral así en general sino porque sé todo lo que ello conlleva, significa que hay que seguir estereotipos machistas o misóginos establecidos en la sociedad, es como cuando me pongo un lazo al cuello y digo que parece que lleve pajarita pero alguien dice 'pareces una colegiala japonesa', ¡ja! Freud diría algo muy interesante al respecto, pero nada de interpretar a Freud a la ligera, que hay mucha tontería dicha sobre sus teorías y para hablar antes hay que conocer. Lo dice alguien que ha leído y estudiado casi todo lo escrito por él, digo 'casi' porque hay material sin editar.

Mi comentario viene porque de eso se trata, de la literatura, el cine, la moda, mis experiencias contadas a través de fotos y mis recuerdos, me refiero, lo que quiero es expresar a través de todo ello y de cuellos blancos con suéters azules bien cerrados.

Pero he aquí un punto importante, sé que no puedo (ni quiero) gustar a todos y eso es exactamente lo que me gusta.

Así que ahí va una foto de mi cara, esa tan seria, triste y melancólica que tanto repito por cuestiones tan profundas como no enseñar la ortodoncia (además a mí ahora mismo me gusta así, seria, punto). Y mi suéter con cuello blanco, me dicen que parezco salida de Hogwarts, yo lo veo más Wilde o Damien Thorn, miedo.

In the previous post I forgot to explain some things, well, actually I did not forget it but I thought that it was unnecessary. Perhaps it's time to write a little bit more because, finally, the posts I like more in my blog history (come on, let's be egocentrics, it is supossed this is an "egoblog", what an absurd, in fact everybody has "ego") are those in wich I wrote a lot. I like sweaters with white shirt under, because they get me to the past times; They make me to remind classic movies, girls wearing school uniforms that I see in my family's old photographs, I like them because they appear in the covers of the new Lula Magazine ( I just find out now, I had not yet seen the new issue).

I like them because I know that some people dislike it and that makes me happy. That does not mean that I enjoy the dislikings of others but that I know what those dislikings mean in the sense of sexist stereotypes imposed by social rules. It is the same thing that happens when I wear a blue ribbon with a bow at my neck and I imagine that I wear a bow tie but somebody says "you look like a Japanese schoolgirl", ¡ja! Freud would say some interesting things about that, but please let us not use Freud's name lightly because lots of nonsenses have been written about his theories and it is necessary a good knowledge before to speak about it. That is what I think after reading and studying almost everything he wrotte, I say "almost" because there is some unedited material.

My comment is in the realm we are dealing with, that is literatture, movies, fashion, my experiences through photos and my memories, I mean that I want to express myself through all of it including wearing white shirt collars with blue sweaters over them.

But here is an important point. I know that I can not (and I do not want to) please everyone and that is exactly what I like.

So here is a picture of my face, that one so serious, sad and melancholy that I repeat for such deep reasons like do not show my orthodontics (anyway, now I like it so indeed). And my sweater with
white collar, someone says I look like a Hogwarts graduate but I rather think in Wilde or Damien Thorn, fear.

Qué me hace feliz: mis libros, mis gatos y perros, quiero ser un gato por cierto. Bueno, quiero ser mi Babuino y luego ser Cala (Rosauro for friends) y socializar poco.

What makes me happy? my books, my cats and dogs, by the way I'd like to be a cat. Well I want to be my ' Babuino' and then 'Cala' ('Rosauro' for friends) and socialize little.

Me gusta este jabón, huele a jardín, con humedad, arena removida y flores con escarcha, weird.

I like this soap, it smells like garden, with humidity, shaken sand and dew on flowers, weird.

Por cierto, mientras tengamos a Uncle Tupelo y Wendy Bevan, la vida será mucho más bonita.

By the way, as long as we have Uncle Tupelo and Wendy Bevan, life will be more beautiful.

Me gusta COS, no es la primera vez que lo digo, me gusta porque saben muy bien lo que hacen, porque son texturas y formas. Para qué ponerle más palabras. Es todo perfecto.

Llevo suéter y camisa de COS, no son solo un suéter o una camisa, es el tacto o la costura, los que conocéis bien la marca ya me entendéis.
