Set aside about fifteen to twenty minutes to do this.  Turn off the phone and avoid interruptions.  This is a small investment of time that will pay massive dividends in the long and the short run.  You should also do this in the morning before work or during your personal and most productive time.</p>

<p>Please bring this document with you to the MasterMind.  </p>
<p>There is ample scientific and casual anecdotal evidence that the process of completing this document will engage the reticular activating system of your brain and will begin to move your thoughts and actions in the desired direction for the changes that you desire in your business and in your private and personal life.</p>
<p>2) If you&#8217;re already registered for the Mastermind, send me your mailing address.  We have a few gifts for you to read and use before, during and after the MasterMind. Send your name, address, and cell phone number that you will be using at the MasterMind to dfrees@successtechnologies.com.</p>
<p>3) Take at least fifteen minutes to answer this question with respect to your primary and most profitable business or professional activity. <strong>Knowing what you know today, if you were to start a business how would it be different from the business you currently own/operate?</strong></p>
<p><strong>Once you have done this then review the following specifics:<br />
How would my employees be different?<br />
How would my business systems be different?<br />
How would my day&#8217;s activity and roles in the business be different?<br />
How would my profit margins be different?<br />
What other businesses and activities would I engage in?<br />
How would my business/family/personal life interactions be different?<br />
What are the three most important barriers holding me back from creating this business/life?</strong></p>
<p>Bring these answers with you to the MasterMind.</p>
<p>4) Identify at least five resources that you&#8217;ll be able to share with the group.  These might include web sites that you have found useful in business, or sales, and marketing or in your personal life, books, programs and products, systems, tools, and/or reports.  If you are so inclined, consider bringing copies of reports or other materials for the group.  You&#8217;ll be receiving many gifts and ideas from me and the other members so be prepared to reciprocate.  These gifts often don&#8217;t cost anything but can produce incredible value for you and others who share them</p>

as much as possible so that you&#8217;re time is freed up and you<br />
are less dependent on a particular person or employee and your business<br />
is less dependent on your personal presence and expenditure of time.</p>
<p>3) You must identify your most profitable client or customer<br />
that you most enjoy working with and who sends more clients<br />
and customers to you and makes your marketing bring in more<br />
of these highly profitable clients/customers more effortlessly.</p>
<p>4) You must deliver value (through marketing) to each new and<br />
old client and customer so that they buy more products or services<br />
more often without additional marketing and time expenditures and<br />
this will require you to truly know your clients fears and aspirations.</p>
<p>5) You must radically improve your communications and persuasion<br />
skills which will automatically make you a better sales person and<br />
marketer, business manager, father or mother, husband, wife or<br />
partner, a better negotiator and better at just about everything<br />
that you do.</p>
<p>6) You must learn to be constantly changing and improving your<br />
business, marketing, and personal life both incrementally and<br />
exponentially by associating (often through a mastermind group)<br />
with other successful people who will help you to do it effortlessly, and</p>
<p>7) You must become an expert at <strong>implementing </strong>strategies, litmus tests,<br />
ideas, marketing, systems, programs, and developing products and<br />
services for a crowd hungary for them so that the sales and marketing<br />
functions are almost unnecessary.</p>
<p>Ok.  Remeber I said that many gurus, speakers, and consultants tell<br />
you WHAT to do but not how.</p>

I advise very conservative businesses, wealthy and often elderly clients, and smart and very savvy business owners.  And, I am paid very handsomely (to be read highly) to do it because I consistently deliver value, solve their problems and deliver them from their worst fears.</p>

<p>I can&#8217;t tell you how much more money that you&#8217;ll make by subscribing to Cosmo but I can tell you what I do and how it works&#8230;which is consistently and effectively.<br />
And, I can tell you that by reading Cosmo every month, or at least the cover, I make a multiple of many thousands of times the cost I paid for that magazine.</p>
<p>So how do you make thousands to millions of dollars with a subscription to Cosmo?</p>
<p>First of all, you can get a masters degree in effective direct marketing and internet business skills just by googling Cosmo subscriptions.<br />
For example, you&#8217;ll learn that you can get Cosmo for 77% off &#8230;.not &#8220;the newsstand price&#8221; but &#8220;77% off what other people pay.&#8221;<br />
That alone is brilliant.  And bye the way, it turns out that you cannot get that 77% unless you buy a three year subscription but more on that later.</p>
<p><strong>STRATEGY:  Give people something that&#8217;s better than what &#8220;other people get.&#8221;</strong></p>
<p><strong>STRATEGY: Sell more (3 years) once rather than once a year for three years and watch your cash flow improve and your costs drop.</strong></p>

<p><strong>Continuous Service Guarantee: Your subscription will continue unless you ask us to stop. Each year you&#8217;ll receive a reminder notice followed by an invoice for the low renewal rate then in effect.  You can cancel at any time and receive a refund on all unmailed issues.</strong></p>
<p>It&#8217;s a guarantee that you can stop anytime but they are going to bill you until you ay STOP.  Brilliant and convenient for me.  I like it- and it really works for them.</p>
<p>Do you have a product or service that you can set up to take advantage of this?</p>
<p>There is also a cross sell.  When you go to the subscription page (one of many designed for different types of subscribers) you&#8217;re told that with one click you can also get a subscription to Marie Claire for only $5 more.  Hard to resist.  Easy to click.  And more profit is added.</p>
<p><strong>STRATEGY:  Make sure that you have another product or service that you offer when the client or customer is first buying from you. And, make that purchase a no brainer for them.<br />
The Cosmo site also requires you to put in your address (for obvious reasons &#8211; they&#8217;re sending you a magazine) as well as you&#8217;re email and other contact information.</strong></p>
<p><strong>STRATEGY:  Make sure that you offer a hard product and have a reason to get each customer and prospect&#8217;s email AND mailing information.  Businesses that contact clients and customers by both methods sell more, have better relationships, and add value to their business by securing the client/customer relationship which a business buyer will value.</strong></p>
<p>So, without having even purchased my subscription I am well on the way to making a great deal more from each customer client relationship and to providing higher value.</p>
<p>But, I have an even better way that I literally make big money from the cover of Cosmo almost every month.</p>

<p>Has there ever been a time when you thought about or feared a certain result from your efforts only to be rewarded with the exact amount of failure that you were expecting or predicting?</p>
<p>Ever had a great idea only to think &#8220;That&#8217;ll never work,&#8221; and it doesn&#8217;t?</p>
<p>Well, there is a good physical and psychological reason for this experience and surprisingly, once you understand what is happening, you will have discovered a valuable tool to improve your experiences in business and in life.</p>
<p>So what is the source of your amazing psychic ability to accurately divine your own limitations?</p>
<p>The mysterious source of this ability is the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reticular_activating_system">Reticular Activating System or RAS</a>.</p>
<p>Since your sensory organs are sending your brain way too much data for you to have conscious awareness at all times, your RAS regulates what enters your awareness.  It is especially sensitive to what it perceives as danger.  </p>
<p>But, since your brain is getting so much data at any given moment, you can ignore much more data than you actually consciously notice.  Have you ever had the experience of buying something that you thought was really new, unique or rare, only to see it everywhere the next day?  The thing was really there before.  But, when you purchased it, your RAS was programmed to notice this thing that is clearly important to you. And, as a result, you now see it every where.<br />
<strong><br />
Want another experiment?</strong>  Look around the room where you are currently sitting and notice everything that is red.  Just look for red.  Note everything red.  Now look at the screen.  Scroll down.  And, tell me everything that is&#8230;&#8230;.</p>
<p><strong>Green?</strong></p>
<p>Hard to remember without looking?  </p>
<p>So what do you do with this knowledge?  </p>
<p>Well, if you can program the RAS by telling it what is interesting and important to you, rather than what you fear then it is possible that you&#8217;ll begin to notice the signs and signals of improvement and progress.</p>
<p>How can you begin to program this part of your brain to notice what you want and how to get it rather than the signs of failure?</p>
<p>The specifics are different for each of us.  So it is worth it to make a brief list by asking &#8220;How can I call attention to what I really want and how to get it?&#8221;  And, it is useful to read or review this list prior to sleep and/or upon waking.  What do other people do that they find effective?  </p>
<p>Dream pages &#8211; drawings, photos, clippings, and writings about things that they want to do, be achieve.</p>
<p>Goal Lists &#8211; which are regularly reviewed and acted upon.</p>
<p>Meditation on goals, desires, and purposes.</p>
<p>The list is long but now you have a new reason to feel confident in why they work rather than being skeptical.  Of course, that choice is your and one way or another you&#8217;ll probably get what you look for.</p>
<p>But if all goes well, you may find that you&#8217;re beginning to notice new aspects of your own environment.  You may begin to notice opportunities that were previously overlooked.  And, if you do, you might begin to seize the opportunities that you just never saw before.  And, if you&#8217;re very lucky, your beliefs about what is possible may begin to change and even more changes become possible if not essential and unavoidable.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Sometimes Change Seems Hard.  </strong></p>
<p>We Know What To Do But We Just Cannot Seem To Get It Done.</p>
<p>Have you ever had that experience?  </p>
<p>Have you ever been perfectly clear about what you have to do to improve a part of your business or your life.  It&#8217;s just three steps, or five, or seven, or nine, or in the worst case, just 12.  But try as you may, you just cannot seem to do it.  </p>
<p>Or, as soon as you start, you notice that new challenges seem to emerge from no where and to interfere with the desired changes.  Or you notice that there seems to be more interruptions than ever. Something or many things distract you or convince you that the task you have set is now impossible.  </p>
<p>It may be something that you see, or hear, say to yourself or feel that lets you know that what just moments before seemed like a perfect way to improve now seems lie climbing Mount Everest.  </p>
<p>Usually, that means that some part of your brain feels that you&#8217;re making a mistake.  Generally, as humans we prefer the status quo.  Our brains feel that we are alive and out of danger so change seems dangerous by comparison.</p>
<p>Well, in the face of this internal sabotage how do we really bring about positive change?</p>
<p>That was a question one of my customers who bought Persuasion2Profit called to ask me about.  And it was a great call.  Whenever someone who buys one of my coaching programs or products calls with a problem I feel great.  Why? Here is an opportunity to help that person take improvement to the next level.  And, it&#8217;s a chance to discover what people really need to make the product or coaching or the speech or training work even better than before.</p>
<p>So what do you do?</p>
<p>Learn to notice the little changes that make you anxious, mad, frustrated, or which otherwise interfere with your new goals.  Since these usually sneak up and get you, learn to catch yourself earlier in the process.  By that, I mean that once you&#8217;re too mad, too frustrated or too worried, your ability to cope, to make changes and to be creative are diminished.  But, if you start to notice the little change that stops you, before it can, and you break that pattern, breath, or make a funny noise, you have leverage on yourself.  What might have stymied your progress, if caught early enough now seems like a mere amusement.</p>
<p>You can remind yourself of why you want the change and you can proceed to get it.  <strong>One step at a time.</strong></p>
<p>Make one successful little change.  Make the slightest shift in the right direction before you try more.  Once the brain sees that change can be good, and rewarding, and fun, then change can accelerate.  But just change one little thing&#8230;successfully.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m changing my staff meeting from once a month to shorter meetings once a week.  This will give higher levels of accountability.  It provides more opportunity to share information, and more opportunities to train.  If that works.  If I get one little thing to work better then I make more changes, more effectively, and more rapidly.  But just get one to work.  You&#8217;ll be surprised how much better you feel, and how much more effective you already are. Now aren&#8217;t you?</p>

<p>Why is it that in the past, you have set goals, you&#8217;ve  make a plan, you have taken action and yet, when the new year rolls around you found yourself woefully short of the desired result?</p>
<p>I mean all of the experts tell you to write down your goals.  And then they remind you to develop a plan.  Finally, we have always been told that action is the real distinction.  And in fact, it&#8217;s true.  Thoise that take action seem to &#8220;have all the luck.&#8221;</p>
<p>So why, if you have followed the formula, have you not gotten all of the desired results?</p>
<p>The simple answer is that we often tell ourselves a story that we don&#8217;t yet believe.  And, even more miraculously, we set goals which, if we achieved them, would have negative consequences that we havn&#8217;t really accepted.  &#8220;Fake it &#8217;til you make it&#8221; is hard for the mind.  We know that we are faking and we fear failure.</p>
<p>So, in an attempt to protect us, from ourselves, the mind creates friction and barriers to those truly positive changes that, at the conscious level, we desire.</p>
<p>But, here is the good news. There is a proven way, to make this self protective inner game less of a barrier and in fact, to engage the full force of the mind in helping you to make the progress you desire.</p>
<p>How do you access that power?  </p>
<p>How do you instantly align the forces of your conscious and subconscious awareness to make the friction disappear and the desired result appear?</p>
<p><strong>You can start right now with the right questions.</strong>  And, tey work like magic for reasons we&#8217;ll discuss later.  In fact, just reading them &#8211; quickly and without stopping to answer them &#8211; is the best. Remeber.  Just read them.  Just allow the mind to work on them effortlessly.  Just keep going.</p>
<p>For example:<br />
What would you like to dramatically change in your business or personal life right now?  </p>
<p>If you could have that change, instantly by tomorrow morning, how would your life be different?</p>
<p>In what ways would your life be dramatically better?<br />
How would your day start?<br />
What would you see around you?<br />
What would you do during the day?</p>
<p>How would these activities be different from your current day?</p>
<p>Are there any changes that would not be desirable?<br />
How would this change affect your friends, family, loved ones, business partners, or others?<br />
Would those changes to them matter to you?<br />
Why?<br />
Could you live with those changes?<br />
How could you have your change and enjoy it even more?<br />
Would that be worth the downside?  </p>
<p>So if you&#8217;re following directions, your head is probably spinning.  You might just want to stop and write down your answers.  Don&#8217;t.  Just let the mind work.  Soon, you&#8217;ll find that you&#8217;re telling yourself a story that you do believe is possible.  You&#8217;ll be enjoying changes that will be aligned with what you want for yourself and for others and change will be more effortless.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Are You Interested In Keeping Electronic Notebooks of Your Ideas and Staying Organized Across Your Phone and Computers?</strong></p>
<p>I just finished this great WSJ article by Walter Mossberg on a very <a href="http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748704320104575015092125336842.html?mod=djemptech#">cool new service that allows you to keep virtual note books, organize photos, notes, web clippings and more across multiple computers and your smart phone.</a>  </p>
<p>This service &#8211; called EVERNOTE, is described as a virtual filing cabinet filled with virtual notebooks.  And, while I haven&#8217;t tried it yet &#8211; I will after I post this &#8211; the description was so cool that I wanted you to test it our along with me.</p>
<p>Mossberg &#8211; reporting for the Wall Street Journal &#8211; has been a stern critic of technology junk and has given me some really good pointers accurate information on software and electronics over the years.  If it&#8217;s hard to use, he&#8217;ll tell you.  And he is enthusiastically endorsing EVERNOTE which is a free service.<br />
