It doesn’t cost much to do so even a simple thank you letter or card once in a while to your customers will pay dividends. Over the past years North America has lost there ability to give good service.

If you want to build a sustainable business then you have to get back to the basics and care and appreciate your customers.

I have been reading a lot about Google in the news, on the web and in magazines lately. I have even watched a couple of documentaries about them. You know what it all can be summed up pretty quickly…they are the leader because they give users value. That’s right it is that simple.

Giving value (at no charge) without trying to sell people anything makes them the leader. Their site has always been clean of junk that the other search engines have.

That is why everyone started and continue to use their site. Simple as that.

Common sense would tell you to keep it simple, but if you watch people they are too busy trying to impress people that they forget how to use their own common sense.

So if you are trying impress by being more complicated then you think you should be or if you are trying to follow someone else’s rules, then stop right now and ask yourself if you can simplify it.

I think the words speak for themselves. Enough said, I have to work on that one.

I will say from my own experience it is very easy to allow procrastination to get in the way and when things are going right why worry about the future right?

I know this is sometimes very hard to do, but remember you are not the only one that started exactly where you find yourself today. I always like to remind myself that every single person on this earth started out in diapers and it is up to you to direct your life in the right direction. It isn’t up to your parents or to your grandparents, it isn’t up to your spouse or your children, it isn’t up to your boss or your coworkers, it isn’t up to your friends or your dog…it is up to you.

Life is a game that cannot be won, it can only be played.

Legend of Beggar Vance, great movie that you should watch, watch it for the lessons as well as the entertainment. I think Will Smith is one of the best educated actors when it comes to success. He always plays a role of inspiration and I am sure it has taught him a lot.

It is true the more solid your foundation is the better off you are, but you should always be working on your foundations. They are something that you have to continually build on or you can’t expand.

Just start small though, once you have started the foundation continue upward while you build more foundations.

There are only a few sure things in life one of course is that it will come to an end someday. Another is that you will never be ready to start, so my advice, just get started and stop getting ready.

I know that it is easy to keep preparing yourself, trust me I know, I have done it and sometimes still do. The easiest way to the top though is to start building NOW.

I had my new site (www.successWithChris.com) developed a while ago and I needed to block some time and focus on writing then content. Then after writing for a week and a half I wanted to take time to regroup. I had planned to come back here one week ago, but I let little excuses put it off.

After your focus and your return date has come, don’t let the “excuses” get in the way or before you know it you have lost a week…a month…a year…

I am sure that if you wanted to climb Mount Everest then you would understand that talking to someone who has done it before you would be a great benefit, well your goal is no different.

If you want to be a better person, study better people. If you want to be a better parent then study parenting. It really is that simple. You will shorten the distance to your goal if you become a student of life.

Now get to work and start studying.

You can also trust me that it may be one of the most difficult things you will ever have to to, that’s right believing in yourself (when others sometimes don’t) is probably the biggest challenge but you have to do it.

You have to believe in yourself before anyone else can believe in you because if you don’t have the believe then it will be hard for others to see your passion.

I really want you to start believing in yourself NOW because I believe in you. Yes that is right I believe in YOU!

…why you ask? Because I know from observing others just like you that you can make it. I have seen what seems like miracles happen and I know that you can do it too.

Complacency will hold you back and make you lose.

This makes a lot of sense because that is just the attitude that most people have about their lives. They think they have is almost right and don’t want to put in that extra effort so they say “that’s good enough”. Well the way I see it if you are not growing then you are dying, I don’t know about you but that scares the hell out of me.

In the words of the late Jim Rohn “if you make twenty or fifty thousand dollars a year and you that is all you are capable of then we call that good enough, but if you make twenty or fifty thousand dollars a year and you are capable of making a million then we call you looser…enough is not a number what is enough?”

Trust me, from my experiences being comfortable will ruin you!
