Eco-Ecstatic Creativity Coaching. You can learn more about

She coined "eco-ecstatic creativity coaching" to describe the
coaching techniques she uses to help clients establish playful,
joyous rapport with the creative forces of Nature and the worlds
beyond.

options when they're feeling blocked, stuck, and stumped?

My guest is the delightful Ellie Jacques-Capon, of
www.joyhappenscoaching.com. She works with creatives of
all sorts, coaches, entrepreneurs, artists; looking to take their
lives to the next grander vision of themselves.

In building her own coaching practice, Ellie is clear about
one thing: she doesn't want to use public speaking as a
lead-generating tool. Here's her perspective, in her own
words:

"I don't mind speaking in public and can really enjoy it
but it doesn't feel like the right path for me at this time.
I want to take advantage of the technology available to us
and get clients from different areas outside of mine."

Guided Imagery in Coaching: A Fantastic Tool for Transformation!

This time around the topic is Guided Imagery - a tool I use often in coaching my clients.
My guest interviewer is Glenda Cedarleaf, a LICSW, holistic psychotherapist and clinical hypnotherapist with Partners in Healing of Minneapolis.

Her passion is guided imagery. She uses this practice to help clients realize creative goals--reinforcing images of empowerment, inspiration and transformation. She creates custom guided imagery CD's that use the power of the unconscious for weight loss, creative inspiration, reinforcing life purpose, inner child healing, healing from trauma and addictions, promoting relaxing sleep, and creating daily spiritual/healing practices.

I hope that you had a wonderful beginning of your year. I have set some New Year's Intentions (I don't do resolutions anymore), and one of them has to do with the theme of this month's K-cast: Self-Care.

In fact, I am called the Queen of Self-Care by many of my friends.

A few months ago, I was invited by A2A Coaching, to be the guest speaker on their coaching club call. During the call, I revealed how self care is a key ingredient to getting more done in less time.

I have seen the power of the continual process of mastering self-care in my own life, and am excited to share the ideas in this audio with you.

Feeling Compelled to Take Action? Think again!

Welcome to another powerful K-Cast.

This week I'm joined by Deb Kolb, an empowerment coach working in Australia. Her site is www.empowermentcoach.com.au.

Deb wrote to me recently, saying:

"I have a part of me I call the 'steam roller' - that part that has been taught to take action even if I'm unsure, it doesn't feel right, or just taking action for the sake of taking action because I have been told I should, etc, etc.

"I had a recent experience and was talking to a coaching colleague about it and she reflected that she has the same issue. I believe this is something that will resonate with many people."

So, in this K-Cast, Deb and I will be talking about this drive to act, even when it's not the 'right time' or the 'right' action. Deb asks:

What is 'inspired action'?
How does it differ from 'action'?
Can you give an example of inspired action?
If we are unsure of what action to take, how can we identify and arrive at what our 'inspired action' is?
How can we tap into 'inspired action' in our day-to-day lives?
What difference will this make to our lives?

Researching Your Niche Market

Welcome! October has been the month for discussing niches. In the last K-cast, we
looked at niches in general and how to decide on, and refine your niche.

This week takes the focus on niches even further.

I'm joined by Nanci Biddle, who calls herself "The Boundary Queen." Her Web site is www.yourcoachingpartner.com. Nanci works with women and her tagline is "taking care of you while you take care of business."

Today she is exploring how a coach can effectively research a new niche market, and connect with prospective clients in this new area. Nanci describes her new niche market as "Baby Boomers taking care of mom or dad."

Her questions for me include:

1. What is the best resource to find women who are taking care of their parents?

2. What is the best way to find out what their needs are?

3. If I created a survey, what are some great questions to ask?

4. Where else could I display the survey besides on my website?

5. How can I offer the most value and what price would be appropriate?

Exploring Niches

The newest K-Cast is here and this time I'm joined by Beth Morton, a Life Transition Coach. Beth supports people as they go through a bit of identity crisis and face challenging life milestones such as going to college, newlywed, new parents, and so on. The Power of Silence in Coaching

Mary asks me the following questions about the use of silence within coaching.

1) What happens in a session when a coach remains silent for longer than s/he normally would, allowing the client to think longer than s/he normally would? (I give a remarkable example here, of the power of silence in a coaching relationship.)

2) Do you use silence in most of your sessions? Why or why not?

3) Coaches have told me that they find it difficult or uncomfortable to be silent longer than what's typical for them. So, Mary asks these two related follow-up questions:

a) What makes silence challenging for the coach?

b) What makes silence challenging for the client?

4) What do you think the benefits of silence are in coaching?
