Have you seen those little scroll bar windows on a webpage and wondered how you could do that on your webpage?

Well wonder no more.

Adding an iframe window is easy enough to do in just a minute or two. It doesn’t need to be a mystery at all, even though it looks advanced.

First, I’ll tell you the uses of iframes, and then give you the code to insert them where you want them.

When to use an iframe

IFrames can be used for inserting surveys, quizzes, news clips, calendars, recipes, events, or pages from your own site. You can use iframes in any situation where you don’t mind if the search engines don’t see the content, but you just want to display information from another page, and you don’t want the visitor to leave the page they are viewing.

When not to use an iframe

If you want the content in the iframe to be indexed by search engines, then you should NOT place it in an iframe, or you should give the search engines an alternative way of finding the content.

How to insert an iframe

You can insert an iframe in a text widget in your margin or by switching the edit frame (such as the one used in creating this post) to the html or source tab. Then enter the following code wherever you want the iframe:

<IFRAME SRC=”http://www.MeetSuePaananen.com/” WIDTH=550 HEIGHT=300>

<A HREF=”http://www.MeetSuePaananen.com/”>link</A>

</IFRAME>

It’s that simple. Cut and paste the code above to the place where you want the iframe, substituting the URL you want displayed in the iframe and the proper width and height you choose.

iframe example

The following scroll window is an example of using an iframe. Try out the insert fields in the iframe – it still works, even though it’s in an iframe.

If you can see this, your browser doesn’t
understand IFRAME. However, we’ll still
link
you to the file.

If you like this tutorial, please use the buttons provided to like it or share it with your friends in Facebook or Twitter. I’m looking forward to reading your comments!

Many people daydream about being a millionaire. It is a common philosophical question to be asked, “What would you do if you had a million dollars?” For 99% of the population, this remains merely a distant dream, a fun exercise to determine what’s important to us.

For the people at the conventions I attend, however, it’s a goal, an attainable goal. In attendance at these conventions are many millionaires, each of them with tips and strategies to teach the rest of the attendees of how they too can achieve this goal, sometimes in as little as 1-4 years, based on how closely they follow the advice and directions of the millionaires who speak on the stage and instruct in mentorship programs.

Many of my good friends now are millionaires, or will become one within a year or two. In the groups I’ve surrounded myself with, it’s more the norm than the exception. It is a well known saying that you become like the people whom you surround yourself with the closest, or if you want to see where a person is headed, you look at who they hang out with the most.

It is a common thread among the people who’ve achieved (or are close to achieving) the ranks of being a millionaire that they are the most self-motivated, dedicated, confident, positive, perseverant, and giving people I know, and they are truely a pleasure to be around. Far different from those who fall far short of this income due to the lack of these traits, and who often complain or have negative attitudes. Rather than think you’ll never become a millionaire (or financially independent), believe you can be, and keep that belief, also surrounding yourself with like-minded people.

One of my favorite quotes is, “The only thing that stands between a person and what they want in life is the will to try it and the faith to believe it is possible”.

I invite you to share this post with the buttons provided below, and to click on the “Automatic Millionaire” box to the right or enter your name and e-mail in the “Contact Me” tab if you’d like to learn more about how YOU can become a millionaire, too, either through a business you already have, or by following David Bach’s teachings in his book, “The Automatic Millionaire”.

To add a video in the first place and remove unrelated videos, I’ll refer you to my blog post about adding videos. In it, I mention the following steps to modify the html of an embedded video:

Click the HTML tab in your WordPress editor.

Find the strange code that refers to the video you entered.

Locate the places where the video URL is inserted. There will be 2 and they will look like:

value=”http://www.youtube.com/v/HOR0FtakFNI”

src=”http://www.youtube.com/v/HOR0FtakFNI”

At the end of this URL, insert the following html that will not only remove the related videos but add a colored border, too: &amp;rel=0&amp;color1=0x2b405b&amp;color2=0x6b8ab6&amp;border=1

In this example, your new embedded URL will look like:

value=”http://www.youtube.com/v/HOR0FtakFNI&amp;rel=0&amp;
color1=0x2b405b&amp;color2=0x6b8ab6&amp;border=1″

src=”http://www.youtube.com/v/HOR0FtakFNI&amp;rel=0&amp;
color1=0x2b405b&amp;color2=0x6b8ab6&amp;border=1″

Notice there is a color 1 and a color2 used for the border for more of a shaded look. You can pick 2 colors from this color chart and see what looks nice on your site. After putting in some color codes a couple of times, you’ll quickly get the hang of it. The colors in the example here are the colors I used around my video, which you can see better if you click on my “events” button. But first…

This blog post will explain how to add Comment Luv or any plugin to your WordPress blog. There are many excellent plugins out there to help you with SEO, google analytics, automatically posting or tweeting, and many other tasks. For the sake of this post, I have deleted my Comment Luv plugin so I can add it in again and show how. If the screenshots are too small for you to see, just double click on the image it will expand.

Below is a screenshot without this plugin added. It shows a normal comment box at the bottom of my post.

Now I go into the admin area and I look at the left margin. Under the heading “Plugins” I click “Add New”

Then I see the following screen and I enter the name of the plugin in the place provided. If you’ve heard of a plugin but don’t remember the exact name, then you can enter a little about what the plugin does into the google search bar and google helps find the name of the plugin you’re looking for.

When I click “Search Plugins”, I get a screen that looks like the following:

I click “Install Now”. The next screen I get is a screen that asks me if I want to activate it. So far it’s only installed, not activated. I click “Activate Plugin”.

Now it’s all done. The next screen will look like the following:

This shows that the Comment Luv plugin was added to your plugins and that it was activated. If you want to delete a plugin, you first deactivate it and then delete it. Now that the Comment Luv plugin was added to my WordPress blog, the bottom of my post looks like the following as compared to the screenshot above:

I hope this helps! Give me your feedback if you successfully install Comment Luv or other plugins into your blog. By the way, do you think I should do a video tutorial next time or do you like these written tutorials with screenshots?

The last thing you want is for the reader to be distracted at the end of the video and leave your blog to browse the other related videos that pop up when your video finishes running that catches their eye, bringing them to look at someone else instead of keeping them on your page. The last thing you want is for the reader to be distracted at the end of the video and leave your blog to browse the other related videos that pop up when your video finishes running that catches their eye, bringing them to look at someone else instead of keeping them on your page.

I’ve seen this far too many times. My friends who have this happening on their blogs have asked their administrators of their websites to fix it after I have pointed it out, and they come back to me saying that their administrators said they didn’t know how.

Ready to learn how?

It’s really very simple. Forget the plugins for loading videos.

Just click on the green film strip in the control bar at the top of the box where you enter your blog post. In another window, you will have the video playing that you want to insert into your blog. Copy the URL at the top of the screen that plays the video and paste it into the box that pops up when you click the green film strip.

Now you get to be a little bit techy, but don’t panic, just follow these steps:

Click the HTML tab in your WordPress editor.

Find the strange code that refers to the video you entered.

Locate the places where the video URL is inserted. There will be 2 and they will look like:

value=”http://www.youtube.com/v/HOR0FtakFNI”

src=”http://www.youtube.com/v/HOR0FtakFNI”

Note that if you don’t use Youtube, the domain will be different, and the strange string of nonsense characters at the end will be different for each video since it is a unique identifier for that video.

Now, at the end of this URL, just before the end quote mark, type in “&amp;rel=0″ exactly like that, minus the quotes, in both places. The above example will now look like:

value=”http://www.youtube.com/v/HOR0FtakFNI&amp;rel=0″

src=”http://www.youtube.com/v/HOR0FtakFNI&amp;rel=0″

Now publish your posting (if the rest of it is completed), refresh your screen with your blog post in some other window where you are testing that it looks right, and try playing the video. Let it play until it’s done and see if the related videos are removed. It should look like this when it’s done:

I hope this helps, and may your blog visitors stay on YOUR blog!

By the way, you can view the video that I’ve used in this example under my Testimonials tab, and let me know if you want to learn how to put a nice border around your video like I’ve done in that tab, too. That’s another lesson!

There’s a WordPress plugin out there that all of us bloggers should be using, that is, if we want to reward the people who visit our blog and leave a comment.

It’s called “Comment Luv”.

The Comment Luv plugin inserts a link to the commenters most recent blog post, giving them better SEO rating and more traffic.

Here’s how the plugin works:

Leave a comment on someone’s blog which has a Comment Luv plugin activated (designated by the little red heart next to the Submit button (as you can see at the bottom of this post).

Check the little box next to the CommentLuv (if it’s not already checked).

Click “Submit Comment”. You’ll see a link created at the bottom of your comment to the most recent post you’ve published.

Readers of this blog can click on the link to visit your blog.

It doesn’t get much easier than that.

But….it gets even better. Here’s another example. Let’s say that you publish a new blog post every day. Then you visit and comment on another blog post every day. For each day you comment, a different link is created. On Monday, the link is to the post you published on Monday, on Tuesday, the link under your comment is to the post you published on Tuesday, and so on……..

How cool is that? This is a great way of letting others know about your new posts. The CommentLuv plugin is a win-win. Bloggers get more visiters who leave more comments and commenters should see an increase of referral traffic to their blogs.

Give it a try! Leave a comment, check the box next to CommentLuv, submit your comment, and see it in action for yourself!

Next, go have it installed in your own WordPress blog to give a little LUV to your visiters, too.

I hold the title champion in my family for putting them together with speed and ease. Many people ask me how do I do it so quickly.

It comes from years and years of being a software analyst. I’ve analyzed more computer code than even I can fathom, as well as hundreds of thousands of lines of test cases and test results. I’ve written and reviewed so many dry technical documents that I’ve had to develop a strategy for speed without loosing accuracy. I’ve had to look at hundreds of screens or printouts of nothing but numbers or cryptic characters from the top left of the screen or page to the bottom right, and make sense of them, the quicker the better. All of these skills translate to being an expert zigsaw puzzle solver, and my relatives say I have an Eagle Eye for extracting exactly the information needed to solve a puzzle or a computer problem.

It’s great to be able to use this skill to help other entrepreneurs shine in their businesses without getting so bogged down and overwhelmed with their computer frustrations. It’s very rewarding to hear their relief of getting past a technical point that had been very frustrating to them.

Feel free to contact me if you’d like to schedule a strategy session on how I can be a technical go-to person for you. Oh, and happy holidays! Now you go take a break, too!

Then they transferred it to yet another hosting site, who kept charging me large amounts, then also went out of business. I never did get that website, and I am still getting sent monthly requests for payment to a non-existant hosting site with no phone number. Whenever I reply to the e-mail, nobody sees it. I finally scrapped that website that I put countless hours into (and my name URL which I can’t get for another year since they bought it for 2 years). I started a completely different one, but now I still have the work of filling in the content, which is very time consuming. With all of this background, here is my new song for the season. Can anyone else relate?

All I want for Christmas is my website done!
My website done, YES! My website done!
Gee if I could only have my website done,
Then I could advertise my business!
It seems so long since I hired out
but I never got it from that service.
They took my name and money too,
now hiring out can really make me nervous.
All I want for Christmas is my website done,
My website done YES, my website done!
Gee if I could only have my website done,
Then I could get a lot of business!
The Offer tab, the Resource tab,
About Me, Home, and all the testimonials.
Gosh oh Gee, please Contact Me
so I can help you with your pain and trials.
All I want for Christmas is my website done,
it’s SO NOT FUN makes me want to run!
Gee if I could only have my website done,
Then I’ll have a quantum leap in business!

Oh wait, you mean I have to drive traffic there, too?

p.s. Don’t feel too bad for me, I’m moving forward and all is good. I got an awesome website custom designer named Justin Yong (in my resources tab) whose uniqueness is working together with you 1-1 to create for you just what you want.

Has it been hard for you to pinpoint what your business should be? Are there so many things you could do, that you’re having trouble narrowing it down? Are there so many opportunities out there that you hate to miss them, and don’t want to turn them down when they could be very lucrative?

I was struggling with my focus over the last year. New at my business with so much to learn, I took training in just about everything under the sun that had to do with marketing online, marketing offline, sales online, sales offline, running a business, talking to potential clients, and so on and so forth, that I started to believe that I should become a business coach, having learned so very much about running a business, promoting a business, and profiting in a business.

But throughout the year, as I made many entrepreneur friends, who had many struggles with their websites, landing pages, videos, html, autoresponders, and more, and I found myself naturally drawn to helping them with their technical issues since that had been my background, it dawned on me what the Queen of Sales, Lisa Sasevich, said on stage, that your calling is something you’ve been doing for people for many years naturally, whether or not you’ve been paid to do it.

One of the conventions in particular that I attended made my calling clear to me, where everyone I talked to said how much they struggled doing things on their computer and how hearing techy talk just made them shut down. They all said how they would love to have someone to call to help them with the technical side of their business. The need for computer help was very large. With my technical background, this was definitely a need that I felt very comfortable and confident in filling.

When we stand on the dime of what we are best at, that’s when our businesses can really take off. Often times the things we are best at are so natural for us, we are blind to it, and it’s best to hear it from our friends. They can easily tell us what we’ve been doing most for people all along.
