SugarOverkill Tattoo Feature: Katie Toomey

As some of you may already know, I put my artworks up for tattoo licensing. Katie Toomey, a video editor from Indiana US, has chosen to license 7 SugarOverkill pieces to adorn her left sleeve. Here are some pics of the process that she sent me:

Toy Concept: Kimi

I always loved to play jack stones when i was a kid. We would play it in school in the classroom, or the corridors. Patch Together is currently holding a contest and the theme is your favorite childhood toy. The winner gets to have their design turned into a real toy and will be up for sale plus royalties.

My idea was to create a girl character with a jack stone concept. She has two jacks as hair clips on her hair and the design on her suit are prints of jacks. She also has one jack stone ball on each side of her head.

Kitty Sundae Vector Process

I have uploaded a video in my Youtube channel on how I colored my “Kitty Sundae” vector illustration. This should have been the second part since the first part I recorded was on how I turned the sketch into lineart in Adobe Illustrator. Sadly the video recorder (Cam Studio) crashed leaving me with 4 Gigabytes of junk.I tried to recover the video with a few recovery tools such as DivFix++ but it didn’t help much. With MediaCoder it was able to recover a few minutes of the supposedly 2 hours long video but uploading that would have been useless. During the coloring process I used Hypercam and everything was recorded properly with no problems whatsoever.

Kawaii Pop! Doodle Speakers

I have just released a new design for the Doodle speakers available at Zazzle. The theme is “Pop” Music. I’m contented with how the final look came out. I hope Zazzle will be releasing more gadgets or skins for gadgets soon.
