Thanks to Paul Garrett at InSight Features for writing and recording our theme music. We’ve re-branded our podcast “Summit EyeQ” because I wanted it to be a little apart from the business entity of Summit Vision Center. The Summit EyeQ podcast is about getting to know people in our community as well as educating everyone on the latest in eyecare technology and eyewear fashions.

We talk with Smithfield City Council member Kris Monson about Smithfield’s downtown and business districts, her Nut Cracker performance, and her experience using eyewear obtained at Summit Vision Center.

Here are some pictures of what we talked about in the podcast with Crizal Alize’ with Clear Guard no-glare treatment:

You could see how people would be distracted during your interpersonal communications if you didn’t have an anti-reflective treatment on your eyewear. Also, glare on your lenses from viewing a computer screen can cause your eyes to feel tired or strained.

This demonstrator shows how Crizal Alize’ with Clear Guard does not have a static charge, so your lenses repel dirt to stay cleaner, longer.

The Styrofoam pellets simulate dust particles which also have a charge. Standard AR attracts dust, and using a lens cloth to clean them also creates more charge. Alize’ Clear Guard doesn’t have that problem.

On this edition of Summit Vision Center podcasts, we talk about Drivewear, the ultimate lens for driving and the outdoors. It combines for the first time polarization in a photochromic (changing tint) lens.

I also interview Lowdy King who recently bought glasses from us. We discuss what he likes with his glasses, what went wrong, and how Summit Vision Center is going to fix it. For future reference, Summit Vision Center will now always recommend 1.67 index plastic material or Trivex for all drill mount eyewear. Individuals with safety eyewear needs should either use no Rx safety glasses that fit over the top of their dress eyewear or use special safety prescription glasses which conform to ANSI specs.

Lowdy purchased the Varilux Physio progress lens with Transitions V and Crizal Alize’ with Clear Guard. A very nice lens which we are going to replace for him in the 1.67 index plastic instead of polycarbonate since he got a Marchon Airlock rimless frame. A very nice package, and he looks great in them.

The story line is mine, and inSight Features produced the commercial for me, and I think they did a great job. Paul and his wife are broadcasting majors at USU and have a production company on the side.

You will recognize Smithfield City council member, Kris Monson, in the role of the computer-eye-strained woman. The voice talent is Q92’s Bill Logan. He’s got that edgy but smooth radio voice that I wish I had for podcasting.

The ad plays on the large screen in Cache Valley Westates Theatres twice before each show until the end of February.
