Obtaining tickets and travel packages for the NFL annual championship game are always difficult to obtain. When items are difficult to obtain, they are rare, valuable, and often expensive. Purchasing Super Bowl pacakges will be no exception. This year, 2009, it looks like the starting price for Super Bowl packages is around three thousand eight hundred dollars. $3,800 is just the minimum that it will cost to attend this season's NFL championship game to be played between the Pittsburgh Steelers, the AFC champions and the Arizona Cardinals, the NFC champions.

This year Super Bowl XLIII (43) will be played at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida on Sunday February 1, 2009. The AFC Champion Pittsburgh Steelers are no strangers to the big game. This is the seventh time that the Pittsburgh Steelers will have played in the big game. They have won five of their previous six trips to the championship game. For the Cardinals, it is an etirely different story. This will be the first time in franchise history that the Arizona Cardinals will have played in the NFL championship game.

Arizona Cardinals superbowl travel packages will certainly cost more than Pittsburgh Steelers Super Bowl packages this year. That is because the starting price of $3,800 mentioned above typically does not include airfare. Fans from the Phoenix area, will undoubtedly have to fly to Tampa to go to the game, so these fans will need to tack on an additional $500 or more to cover the cost of the airfare. Fans from Pennsylvania will have options. These fans can either fly or take one of the many charter bus trips from the Pittsburgh, PA area down to Tampa, FL.

The NFL championship game always has big name celebrities performing in the halftime extravaganza. This year is no different. The halftime show will star rock and roll performers Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band.

This year, many of the Super Bowl travel packages being offered are selling for $3,800 and higher. This base price does not include airfare. Every year, there is great enthusiasm generated by the Super Bowl. Fans from the markets of the game's competitors try every which way that they can in order to purchase tickets for the big game. However, when making travel plans, do not forget about booking your airlines tickets. And equally importantly, try to book those airline tickets as far in advance as you can. As mentioned earlier, oftentimes airfare is not included in most Super Bowl packages, so you need to buy those tickets by yourself. You need to book your airline tickets early.

There is always great demand for airline tickets from the competitors respective cities to get to the predetermined location. This year is certainly no exception. Airline tickets from Pittsburgh to Tampa are selling out rapidly. Given that the Cardinals have never been to the big game, their fans are eager to attend the Super Bowl. As such, the demand for airplane seats from the Phoenix aream east to Tampa is even greater than in Pittsburgh. Since the Cardinals have never attended the Super Bowl before, the fans in the desert are booking up all of the available airline tickets. The airlines are aware of the enthusiasm surrounding the big game and are capitalizing on the situation. Many of the airlines are charging significantly higher prices for airline tickets along these two routes than they usually do.

Each year, every team in the NFL receives an allotment of tickets to the game. The majority of which are presented to the two teams playing in the game -- the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Arizona Cardinals, this season. The teams usually hold a random drawing for the right to purchase those tickets. This year is no exception. The Steelers and the Cardinals organizations are offering season ticket holders the opportunity to enter a random drawing to win the opportunity to puchase tickets to the Super Bowl.

For those season tickets holders who unfortunately are not selected in the random drawing, and therefore do not win the opportunity to purchase tickets, they along with everyone else, need to find other methods of purchasing these sought after tickets. Probably the best way to get tickets is to purchase Super Bowl packages, through one of the numerous travel brokers. These travel brokers have tickets to the big game and complete travel packages. The packages often include hotel accommodations, along with tickets to special events, such as the NFL Experience, and VIP parties. They may also include food and ground transportation. As you might expect, hotel prices in the Tampa area inflated for those dates surrounding the game.

Every year, the NFL offers a random drawing to the public for the rights to purchase tickets to the next year's Super Bowl. If you aren't able to get tickets to this year's game, or even if you are, why not enter the drawing. You may be one of the lucky winners. When you purchase tickets directly from the NFL, you know that the tickets that you are buying are genuine. Every year there are various Super Bowl ticket scams. Beware of these unscrupulous individuals.

Super Bowl packages are going fast. Steelers fans, get your Superbowl packages from Pittsburgh. Cardinals fans, get your Superbowl packages from Arizona. The best place to find tickets is on the internet.

Super Bowl Packages Pittsburgh Steelers Arizona Cardinals

Super Bowl packages are available now. Super Bowl XLIII (43) will feature the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Arizona Cardinals. The game will be played on Sunday, February 1, 2009 in Tampa, FL. The Pittsburgh Steelers will represent the American Football Conference, and the Arizona Cardinals will represent the National Football Conference. Congratulations to the Steelers and the Cardinals. Steelers fans, Cardinals fans, get your Super Bowl tickets now.

The Pittsburgh Steelers, the number two seed in the AFC advanced to the Super Bowl by defeating the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Championship game 23 - 14. The Steelers had disposed of the San Diego Chargers previously to advance to the conference championship game. The Steelers will be the only team representing the state of Pennsylvania, .because the Philadelphia Eagles lost earlier to the Arizona Cardinals.

The Arizona Cardinals, the number four seed in the NFC, advanced to the Super Bowl game for the first time in their franchise's history by defeating the Philadelphia Eagles the NFC Championship game 32 - 25 in Glendale, Arizona. To get to the NFC Championship game, the Cardinals had previously defeated both the Carolina Panthers and the Atlanta Falcons.

This is the first Super Bowl appearance by the Arizona Cardinals in their history. The Cardinals are led by their starting quarterback, one time Super Bowl MVP Kurt Warner, along with their 2009 pro bowl wide receivers, Larry Fitzgerald and Anquoan Boldin. The Cardinals also have a running back with Super Bowl experience, Edggerin James. Midway through the season, the Cardinals benched James, and completely focused their offensive attack on their passing game. The worked well, as the Cardinals had three 1000 yard wide receivers. However, once the playoffs began, the Cardinals returned James to his prior starting role and have mixed in a significant amount of rushes. The Cardinals have a star running back with fresh legs, and renewed energy from their defense. Larry Fitzgerald and Warner have been an incredible combination all season, but have really turned it on in the playoffs. Now with James running well, defensives have to respect the Cardinals' running game, which has helped get Fitzgerald open more often.

Arizona Cardinals head coach, Ken Whisenhunt, is the former offensive coordinator for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Arizona Cardinals fans celebrated their victory and have begun making plans to purchase Super Bowl packages. Arizona Cardinals Super Bowl packages and Super Bowl tickets in general are a new and exciting activity for fans of the team based in Phoenix. Congratulations to the Arizona Cardinals and to their fans.

Setting out to purchasing Pittsburgh Steelers Super Bowl packages is nothing new for the fans in Pittsburgh, PA. The Pittsburgh Steelers have been to the Super Bowl on numerous occasions. In fact, the Pittsburgh Steelers are making their seventh appearance to the NFL Championship game. The Steelers have now made the most Super Bowl appearances of any team in the NFL. The Steelers may have been to the Super Bowl many times, but their head coach Mike Timlin, in only his second season, is making his first appearance in the big game. Timlin is the youngest head coach of a Super Bowl team ever.

The Steelers are led by their defense. The Steelers have the number on rated defense in the entire NFL. They rank number one in nearly every statistic for defense. The Steelers have a strong offense as well, led by fifth year quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. Big Ben, only in his fifth season, is making his second trip to the big game. Roethlisberger and the Steelers defeated the Seattle Seahawks just three seasons ago in Super Bowl XL, by a score of 21 - 10 back in 2006. That game was the final NFL game for Steelers star running back, Jerome "The Bus" Bettis. This year's Steelers stars include Troy Polamalu, Hines Ward, and Fast Willie Parker.

Super Bowl tickets are always difficult to obtain. This season is no exception. The big game will be played at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. This is the fourth time in NFL history that Tampa, FL will host the NFL Championship game. How is the Super Bowl location determined? The location of the Super Bowl game is determined by the NFL several seasons in advance of the current. Upcoming Super Bowl games will be located in Miami, FL and Dallas, TX. The game in Dallas will be played at their new stadium.

Pittsburgh Steelers fans, Arizona Cardinals fans, and many other NFL fans will be vying to purchase Super Bowl packages. Typically, these packages include hotel accommodations. They may also include airfare, ground transportation, and other special events and VIP parties. Sometimes, there are charter bus tours to get fans to the Super Bowl. On rare occasion, you may be able to reserve your own private jet to attend the big game. How's that for traveling in style? The one thing to make certain when you are purchasing your Super Bowl package, make sure that the package includes Super Bowl tickets. There are Super Bowl ticket scams every year. Congratulations to the Arizona Cardinals. They and their fans can start making plans to purchase Super Bowl packages. The Arizona Cardinals will be going to the Super Bowl for the first time in franchise history. The Super Bowl will be two weeks from today, Sunday February 1, 2009. So Cardinals fans, it is time to buy those super bowl tickets, get those airline tickets, and get those hotel accommodations. The best way to do that is by buying Super Bowl packages from reputable tour providers.

The Arizona Cardinals defeated Philadelphia Eagles 32 - 25 in Glendale, Arizona to advance to Super Bowl XLIII. The Cardinals played a nearly flawless first half today, taking a 24 - 6 lead into the locker room at halftime. The Cardinals were led by their star wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald as he was the recipient of all three of Cardinals quarterback Kurt Warner's touchdown passes.

The Eagles made significant halftime adjustments, and started getting significant pressure on Warner. The Eagles scored three touchdown in under a nine minute stretch and took the lead 25 - 24. The Cardinals got the ball back with ten minutes left in regulation. They drove down field and had a 3rd and goal with just three minutes left. Warner completed a screen pass to back up running back Hightower. Hightower reached the end zone after tremendous blocking in front of him. The Cardinals then converted the two point conversion to take a 32 - 25 lead, and that was the final score.

Super Bowl packages for the Arizona Cardinals are a reality. The international attention will increase people from around the world as potential recruits as has been happening in the National Hockey League, the National Basketball Association, and Major League Baseball. The National Football League controls most of the tickets for the Super Bowl, so they can carve out some of the premier seats, select some of the higher end hotels and their best rooms and include these choice products in the Super Bowl packages that they present to these international corporations. There are other items that get included in these packages. For instance, these corporate customers would have the opportunity to have premium parking, private entry into Raymond James Stadium along with elite parties. The corporate clients will also have the option to purchase these same deals for subsequent NFL championship games. For instance, the next game, Super Bowl XLIV, will be in Miami on Sunday, February 7, 2010. The following game, Super Bowl XLV, will be in the new home of the Dallas Cowboys in Arlington, TX. That game will take place on Sunday, February 6, 2011.

For this year’s game, the most expensive and luxurious Super Bowl package in Tampa, FL will cost well over $10,000 per person. The NFL is offering eight different deals the base price costing somewhat less than $5,000. The premier packages include choice seats, right along the sidelines, and access to several parties before and after the game. The least expensive, base package includes tickets in less desirable areas of the stadium – in the corner areas on the upper decks.

The effort to lure foreign corporations has been a huge success for the NFL. IN previous seasons, they had completely sold out their Super Bowl packages that they had made available to these corporations. Given their level of success, the NFL has significantly increased the number of these Super Bowl packages that they are making available to these corporations, foreign and domestic, from 1,000 in recent seasons, to well over 3,000 for this season’s Super Bowl.

Many people feel that the regular season and the playoffs are for the individual, die-hard fans, but that the Super Bowl is more of a corporate event. The NFL seems to be facilitating this by increasing the number of packages that they are offering to corporations.

Super Bowl packages are still readily available. Fans of the Philadelphia Eagles, Cardinals, Steelers, and Ravens can still find airfare, hotel accommodations, and most importantly, tickets to the big game through several of the many tour providers that offer such Super Bowl packages. Even of you are not fans of any of the four remaining teams; you may still attend the big game. It is the culmination and highlight of the NFL season each year – a spectacle not to be missed.

On this coming Sunday, January 18, 2009, the National Football League will have their two conference championship games to determine which teams will earn the right to play in this season’s Super Bowl game which will determine this season’s NFL champion. All four teams have a legitimate chance of winning this coming weekend. The Eagles and Ravens and both the number six seeds in their respective conferences. Last season, the New York Giants won the Super Bowl as the sixth seed. The Pittsburgh Steelers also recently accomplished this feat in Super Bowl XL. All of the remaining teams have been to the Super Bowl except the Cardinals. However, their starting quarterback, Kurt Warner, and their starting running back, Edgerrin James have each won the Super Bowl – James with the Indianapolis Colts and Warner with the St. Louis Rams, dubbed the “Greatest Show on Turf.”

Super Bowl packages are a great way to get super bowl tickets. Even though the NFL has offered more of these packages to corporations, there are still many opportunities for you to obtain tickets, hotel accommodations, and perhaps airfare and ground transportation so that you can be there to cheer on your team as well. You may even want to get a charter flight to the Super Bowl. Just be aware of Super Bowl ticket scams. We want you to go and enjoy yourselves.

Super Bowl Packages Steelers Eagles Cardinals Ravens

Super Bowl packages are in the works for this year's big game. The Superbowl packages are among the greatest events annually, especially in American professional sports. The event is televised around the world. This year, Super Bowl XLIII, will be played in Tampa, FL on Sunday February 1, 2009. Will you be there? Would you like to go? There are many tour groups putting together some great promotions.

In this year's Bowl the NFL's National Football Conference will represented be either the Philadelphia Eagles or the Arizona Cardinals. While the American Football Conference will represented be either the Pittsburgh Steelers or the Baltimore Ravens. That will be determined this coming Sunday, January 18, 2009. The NFC Championship game will be played in Phoenix, AZ, and the AFC Championship game will be played in Pittsburgh, PA.

If you need tickets to the Conference championships, we have access to Eagles Cardinals Playoff Packages as well as Steelers Ravens Playoff Tickets.

Are you looking for Philadelphia Eagles Superbowl packages? Ravens Superbowl packages? Do you need superbowl packages with airfare? Pittsburgh Steelers fans? Or how about the Arizona Cardinals?

Regardless, Tampa Bay Superbowl packages can be very basic and include as little as tickets to the big game. Typically, however, these packages are much more all-inclusive. You will be given choices of hotel accommodations, airfare, and ground transportation. There are also numerous other items that may be included in Super Bowl packages. Often tour providers will include tickets to one or more of the many Super Bowl Party Tickets. These parties are usually great events. This year, these events promise to be nothing short of incredible. Here is a listing of some of the parties that are scheduled:

ESPN Super Bowl Party @ ESPN VIP Tent

Saturday Night Spectacular Super Bowl Party @ Pepin's Hospitality Center

Super Bowl Leather and Laces Party @ Jackson's Bistro

Super Bowl Maxim Party @ The Ritz

Super Bowl Celebrity Player VIP Party @ Stumps Supper Club

This is just a sampling. There will be many more parties. Ask your tour promoter to include one or more of these parties in your Super Bowl package. These parties are such to be great events.

The halftime show at the Super Bowl is always a big event, with some of the biggest names in entertainment performing. This year's game is no exception. The halftime performance at this year's Super Bowl will be Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band.

Another event that you want to have included in your Super Bowl packages is the NFL Experience. This will be the 18th annual event of its kind. The NFL Experience pavilion is usually set up next to the stadium where the game is being played. This year, that will be in Tampa, Florida.

The NFL Experience is always one of the most well attended events at the Super Bowl game. This year, for Super Bowl XLIII, the event will include various presentations, all kinds of entertainment and other attractions, opportunities for children to learn more about football, there are free autograph sessions, and an enormous football card show. At the NFL Experience, you can see how your football skills compare with the professional athletes -- you can check your passing skills, your kicking skills, how fast you are as compared to pro athletes, and you can even act as a play-by-play announcer reenacting some of the most memorable plays in NFL history.

When booking your Super Bowl packages, you want to make sure that the most important aspect of the package is included, tickets to the game! There are Super Bowl ticket scams perpetrated every year. One of the scams included selling packages without the most important item. Several tours only include hotel accommodations. Be careful to read all of the text in the adds. The last thing you want is to arrive in Tampa, FL only to find out that you will not have tickets to the game and will have spent a significant amount of money for a hotel room. If you are worried about buying forged tickets, the NFL has gone to tremendous steps to ensure that it is clear as to whether the tickets are real of forgeries.

The Super Bowl annually is an exciting, not-to-be-missed event. This year's game is shaping up as one of the most interesting games in recent years. Will we have an all Pennsylvania game pitting the Pittsburgh Steelers against the Philadelphia Eagles? Will we have an I-95 Series between the Baltimore Ravens and the Philadelphia Eagles -- who are only 90 or so miles apart. Will Kurt Warner get to return to the Super Bowl along with his head coach Ken Whisenhunt? Whisenhunt was an assistant coach under Bill Cowher for the Pittsburgh Steelers for six seasons before joining the Cardinals.

Based on the Las Vegas odds makers, it would appear that we would be heading for an all Pennsylvania Super Bowl as they have made the Steelers the Eagles favorites in their respective games. However, the Arizona Cardinals and the Baltimore Ravens will have plenty to say about that. The Ravens went into Tennessee last week and beat the Titans, while the heavy underdog Arizona Cardinals went into Charlotte, NC and soundly beat the previously undefeated at home Carolina Panthers. This week, the Cardinals get to play at home where they played much better this season than they did on the road. The Eagles and the Cards met earlier this season on Thanksgiving evening. The Eagles dominated that game from start to finish by crushing the Cardinals 48 - 20. Eagles star running back Brian Westbrook scored four touchdowns in that game. However, things have changed for the Cardinals since that game. Their defense has been playing much better. In their two playoff games they slowed down two of the strongest running attacks -- Atlanta Falcons and Carolina Panthers. They also hope to have star wide receiver Anquoan Boldin back as well.

If you are looking for SuperBowl 2010 packages, why not try to get them for face value? You can enter the NFL's annual lottery to try to purchase tickets to next year's big game starting on February 1, 2009.

Super Bowl packages are in the works. The Pittsburgh Steelers, Baltimore Ravens, Arizona Cardinals, and Philadelphia Eagles hope to punch their tickets this coming weekend and start making plans for the big game two weeks later. You will want to be there. It promises to be a great game.

Super Bowl Packages Divisional Playoffs

Super Bowl Packages are still a possibility for some unlikely teams. The divisional playoffs are in the books and we are no down to four teams. The final four NFL teams still alive for Super Bowl XLIII are the Pittsburgh Steelers, Baltimore Ravens, Philadelphia Eagles, and the Arizona Cardinals.

This was the weekend of the visiting teams. Three of the four visiting teams were victorious. On Saturday, Baltimore knocked off the AFC number one seed, Tennessee Titans. And the Arizona Cardinals went into Charlotte, NC and convincingly upset the Carolina Panthers. On Sunday, the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the defending Super Bowl Champions, and top NFC seed New York Giants. The only seed to hold service this weekend was the Pittsburgh Steelers as they defeated the San Diego Chargers.

Making plans for Super Bowl packages will become a reality for either the Pittsburgh Steelers or the Baltimore Ravens, as representatives of the AFC, and either the Philadelphia Eagles or the Arizona Cardinals in the NFC.

On Saturday, the Baltimore Ravens went in to Tennessee and defeated the Titans 13-10 on a Matt Stover field goal in the final minute of the game. The Titans dominated the game statistically, but the opportunistic Ravens forced three Titan turnovers. Tennessee out gained Baltimore by a nearly 2 to 1 margin, yardage-wise, but turnovers, especially in the playoffs are critical. The number six seeded, Baltimore Ravens, now move on to Pittsburgh to play the Steelers for the right to represent the AFC in Super Bowl XLIII. Tennessee had an excellent regular season, but gets eliminated in the first round.

On Saturday evening, the Arizona Cardinals entered their match up with the Carolina Panthers as heavy underdogs. The Panthers, the number two seed in the NFC, were the only team in the entire NFL to win all of their home games this season. Arizona had a losing record playing against teams outside of the weak NFC West, and had lost their previous five games playing in the east this season. Just before the kickoff, star wide receiver Anquoan Boldin was scratched. To top it off, it was Panthers quarterback, Jake Delhomme's birthday. Everything seemed set up for a Panther's victory. Three minutes into the game, Carolina scored a touchdown to take 7-0 lead, but Arizona stormed back. Kurt Warner connected with star wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald eight times for 166 yards and a touchdown. Jake Delhomme committed six turnovers and the Cardinals shocked the Panthers 33 - 13. The Cardinals victory, combined with the Eagles victory on Sunday over the Giants means that the Cardinals will host the NFC Championship game. The winner of that game will be making plans for their Super Bowl packages to head for Tampa for Super Bowl XLIII on February 1, 2009. No team has ever actually been the host of the Super Bowl -- it was close twice when the LA Raiders played in the Rose Bowl in Pasadena and when the San Francisco 49ers played at Stanford University in Palo Alto. If Arizona wins next week, and advances to the big game, they will have been one year too late as Super Bowl XLII was held in University of Phoenix Stadium, their home field.

On Sunday, the Philadelphia Eagles became the third visiting team this weekend to emerge victorious. The Eagles eliminated the defending Super Bowl Champion New York Giants 23 -11. The game was played in a strong, steady wind making it very difficult for either team to pass. The sixth seed Eagles, who needed everything to break their way on the final day of the season won for the second consecutive weekend on the road. Next weekend, they try to make it three straight road wins by traveling to Arizona to take on the Cardinals. The 23 -11 final score was an NFL oddity -- never before in NFL history had an NFL game, regular season or post season finished with that final score.

The only home team to win this weekend was the Pittsburgh Steelers who
easily handled the San Diego Chargers 35- 24. The game was close at halftime with the Steelers leading 14 - 10. However Pittsburgh dominated the third quarter holding the ball for all but one offensive play and for more than 14 minutes of game time. Early in the fourth quarter, the Steelers scored a touchdown to take a commanding 28 -10 lead and never looked back.

So there are no number one seeds remaining. There is a single number two seed, the Pittsburgh Steelers; a number four seed, the Arizona Cardinals; and two number six seeds, the Philadelphia Eagles and the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens and the Eagles certainly have an excellent chance of making it to the Super Bowl. The Arizona Cardinals have never played in the conference championship game, and there, of course, have also never played in the Super Bowl.

Planning for Super Bowl packages will get determined next weekend. Will it be an all Pennsylvania Super Bowl? Will the Kurt Warner return to the Super Bowl and lead the Cardinals there for the first time ever? Will the Ravens, led by rookie quarterback Joe Flaco and the tough Ravens defense avenge their two earlier losses to the Steelers and make it to the big game? We shall find out next week.

Super Bowl Packages Wild Card Review

Super Bowl packages are still on the minds of fans of the Cardinals, Chargers, Ravens, and Eagles. All four of these teams had impressive wins in the wild card round of the NFL playoffs. As such, they all get to move on to the NFL Divisional Playoffs.

The Arizona Cardinals dominated the Atlanta Falcons, winning the game 30 - 24. Typically, the Cardinals are a team that passes the ball almost exclusively. However, the Cardinals ran the ball very effectively with Edgerrin James leading the way. Strong running by James, combined with two long touchdowns passes by Kurt Warner -- one to each of his star wide receivers, Larry Fitzgerald and Anquoan Boldin -- powered the Cardinals past the Falcons. They move on to play the Carolina Panthers in Charlotte, NC on Saturday January 10, 2009. The Panthers were the only team in the NFL to win all eight of their home games this season. So this looks to be a tough match up for the Cardinals. Super Bowl packages for the Cardinals seems unlikely.

The other NFC wild card game pitted the Minnesota Vikings against the Philadelphia Eagles. In a tough defensive battle, the Eagles beat the Vikings 26 - 14 and move on to play the defending Super Bowl champion New York Giants at the Meadowlands in East Rutherford, NJ next Sunday January 11, 2009. The Eagles offense typically is centered around their star running back, Brian Westbrook. However, the Vikings had shut Westbrook down until late in the game when Westbrook caught a short screen pass and turned it into a 71 yard touchdown, turning a close game into an Eagles victory. The Eagles have beaten the Giants at New York in December. When they last played, Westbrook had a tremendous game. The Eagles will be very confident going into this game and keep their fans thinking about Super Bowl packages for yet another week.

In the AFC, the division winning 8-8 San Diego Chargers beat the Indianapolis Colts 23 - 17 in overtime. The game came down to one play late in the fourth quarter. Just before the two minute warning, with the Colts leading 17 - 14, Indianapolis had a 3rd down and just two yards to go from their own nine yard line. The Chargers had used all of their time outs. If the Colts were able to convert that third down, they would be able to run out the clock and advance in the playoffs. However, the Colts lacked the confidence in their running game, and elected to pass. Peyton Manning was sacked at the one yard line forcing a punt. Darren Sproles returned the punt to the Colts 38 yard line, and then were able to kick the tying field goal. Sproles then scored the winning touchdown in overtime. Excellent work by the Chargers punter kept the Colts pinned deep in their own territory throughout the game. The San Diego Chargers advance and move on to Pittsburgh. Super Bowl packages are still very mcuh on the minds of Chargers' fans.

In the other AFC wild card game, the Baltimore Ravens' smothering defense crushed the Miami Dolphins 27 - 9. The Dolphins, who along with the New York Giants, set a record for the fewest turnovers in a season, thirteen, committed five turnovers in this game. Chad Pennington was intercepted four times. One was returned for a touchdown by Ed Reed. The Ravens move on to play the Tennessee Titans in Nashville, TN next weekend. The #1 seeded Titans and their fans are still the favorites to be making plans for Super Bowl packages.

Super Bowl packages for this year's big game are available to everyone, but for fans of the Titans, Steelers, Chargers, Ravens, Giants, Panthers, Eagles, and Cardinals, they are all just two wins away.

Super Bowl Packages Alternative

Super Bowl packages are the usual way that people purchase tickets to see the NFL championship game every year. But what if there was another way to purchase tickets? And what if you could get those tickets at face value, have I gotten your attention, yet?

All-inclusive trips are frequently very, very expensive. Between the air fare, hotel accommodations, ground transportation, and most important of all, the actual Super Bowl tickets, these packages can easily set you back well over $5,000 per person, double occupancy. But what if there was another way to get tickets to the NFL championship game. And what if you were able to obtain these tickets at face value, and without having to pay exorbitant fees through tour organizers for the Super Bowl packages? Are you interested? It is easy to attempt to obtain these tickets for face value, but not easy to secure. However, it is certainly worth it to try.

How can you obtain Super Bowl tickets without having to purchase expensive Super Bowl packages? I will tell you. It is very easy, you just mail a letter and hope you’re your letter gets selected. Every year, the National Football League puts a certain number of tickets for the Super Bowl up for sale to the general public. The potential ticet buyers are selected via a random drawing. Those who are lucky enough to have their name selected are then given the opportunity to purchase up to two tickets to the next upcoming Super Bowl game.

If you are interested in trying to obtain tickets, I suggest that you follow theses easy, straightforward steps:

Write a Letter
Write a letter to the NFL stating that you would like to be considered as a potential buyer for tickets to the upcoming Super Bowl. In the letter, you will need to include your name, address, telephone number, and your email address.

Address the Letter
Prepare the letter for mailing. Address your envelope to:

Super Bowl Random Drawing
P.O. Box 49140
Strongsville, OH 44149-0140

Mail the Letter
Take your envelope to your post office, and then mail it to the above mentioned address using certified or registered mail.

Easy, right? You are not guaranteed of securing tickets, but what do you have to lose? Just a bit of time and the cost of the postage – probably about $4.00.

There are a few very minor rules and regulations that you must adhere to. Your letter cannot be sent today. All requests for tickets must be postmarked during the period of February 1 through June 1 of each year for the subsequent Super Bowl game. This means that you are too late to try to secure tickets for Super Bowl XLIII in Tampa, FL. For this game, you will need to go look into Super Bowl packages if you want to attend.

Other rules and requirements indicate that all entries must be sent postal service via certified or registered mail. Do not waste your money sending multiple entries to try to increase your chances of winning. Only submit one entry. Any duplicate submissions will just be ignored. Also, any submissions that do not adhere to these basic rules will be discarded.

Here’s a list of the upcoming Super Bowls:

This year’s game: Super Bowl XLIII – February 1, 2009
Tampa, Florida: This is the 4th time that the Super Bowl will be played in Tampa, FL. The last Super Bowl in Tampa was in 2001. That year, the Baltimore Ravens crushed the New York Giants, 34-7, in Super Bowl XXXV. The first time that the Super Bowl was in Tampa was held in 1984. That year, the Los Angeles Raiders beat the Washington Redskins, 38-9, in Super Bowl XVIII.

Here are the locations for the next few Super Bowls:

Super Bowl XLIV – February 7, 2010
Miami, Florida: This will be the 10th time that the Super Bowl will have been played in the Miami area.

Super Bowl XLV – February 6, 2011
Dallas, Texas: The Dallas Cowboys are constructing a new stadium in Arlington, Texas, in time for Super Bowl XLV. This will be the first time that the Super Bowl will be in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. There have been two previous Super Bowls in Houston, Texas.

Super Bowl XLVI -- February 5, 2012
Indianapolis, Indiana. This will be the first time that the game will be in Indianapolis. The league typically selects warm weather locations so that weather likely does not impact the game. However the Colts home stadium has a roof, so weather is not an issue.
Super Bowl packages are expensive. Why not try to get tickets for face value? This year, the Super Bowl is on February 1, 2009. That is the first day to apply for tickets to Super Bowl XLIV in Miami. Don’t forget to send in your application. Every year, between February 1st and June 1st, send in your entry and hopefully, you will be heading to the Super Bowl.

Playoff Goal: Super Bowl Packages

Super Bowl Packages are on everyone’s mind this time of year. All twelve playoff teams are thinking that they have what it takes to get to the big game. After playing a sixteen game schedule, over a seventeen-week span, we have narrowed the field down from the thirty-two teams that began the season with hopes and aspirations that they could make it to the Super Bowl down to the twelve teams that have made the playoffs. In each conference, there are four division winners and two wild card teams. Each of these twelve teams still has a legitimate chance of getting to and winning the Super Bowl. Super Bowl XLIII will be played on Sunday February 1, 2009 at 6:00pm EDT in Tampa, Florida.

Here is a quick look at each of the teams:

American Football Conference
#1 Seed Tennessee Titans
The Titans finished the regular season with a 13-3 record, which was the best record in all of football. The Titans were paced by a strong running game with rookie Chris Johnson and LenDale White leading the way. When starting quarterback Vince Young was injured in the first game of season, veteran Kerry Collins came on and led the way for the Titans. Having had the best record in their conference means that the Titans will have home field advantage throughout the playoffs. They will have bye this coming weekend and await the results of the wild card games to see whom they will face next weekend. As top seed, they will face the lowest seeded team still standing after wild card games. After an excellent regular season, the Titans and their fans are thinking about looking into acquiring Super Bowl Packages already.

#2 Pittsburgh Steelers
The Steelers led the entire league in defense yards allowed. They were the #2 in rushing yards allowed, #1 in passing yards allowed, and #1 in overall, combined yard allowed. It has always been said that defense wins in the playoffs. Given their strong defense, the Steelers are ready to try to get back to the Super Bowl. On offense, their quarterback, Ben Roethlisberger suffered a concussion in the final game of the regular season. As the #2 seed, the Steelers will have a bye in the opening round of the playoffs. This should give Big Ben adequate time to shake the cobwebs out and be ready to play next week. The Steelers will face the second lowest seeded team after the wild card round. The Steelers won the Super Bowl three seasons ago and would like nothing better than to have their fans purchasing Super Bowl packages two weeks from now.

#3 Miami Dolphins
The Dolphins have to be considered the Cinderella story of this year’s playoffs. Last season, the Dolphins were one loss away from becoming the firs team in history to lose all sixteen games in a season. They avoided that distinction by beating the Baltimore Ravens. The Dolphins will host the Ravens this weekend in the wild card round. Miami was able to improve their record from 1-15 last season to 11-5 this season and won their division. Their road to was made somewhat easier by having a last place record, so they played a softer schedule. However, not to take anything away from them, they made several key acquisitions in the off-season, including signing former New York Jets quarterback Chad Pennington. Pennington became expendable after the Jets signed former Green Bay Packers’ legend Bret Favre. Pennington led the Dolphins into the playoffs and was rewarded with the Comeback of the Year award – for the second time. The Dolphins have a chance to have their fans seeking Super Bowl Packages, but they would not have that far to go, as the Super Bowl will be in Tampa.

#4 San Diego Chargers
The Chargers are the comeback story of the month of December. Having built a record of 4-8, the Chargers seemed all but certain to miss the playoffs and not have a chance to plan for Super Bowl packages. When the Chargers entered the month of December, they knew that the only way that they could get to the playoffs was to win their division – there were too many teams ahead of them in the chase for a wild card. To win their division, they would need to win all of their games and have the division leading Denver Broncos lose at least three of their remaining four games. The Chargers began their unlikely quest by beating the Oakland Raiders in convincing fashion 34 – 7. They then shocked the Kansas City Chiefs, scored two touchdowns in the final 1:13. After a convincing victory over the fading Tampa Bay Bucs – a team who at one point was 9-3 and had the chance to be the first team to host the Super Bowl – coupled with two losses in three games by the Broncos, the stage was set. The Chargers would host the Broncos in the final game of the season. The Chargers crushed the Broncos 52 – 21, catapulting the Chargers into the playoffs as division winners, with a record of only 8 – 8. The Chargers became the first team in NFL history to make the playoffs after having a 4 – 8 record. The collapse by the Broncos cost Mike Shanahan his position as head coach. The Chargers host the Indianapolis Colts in the wild card round.

#5 Indianapolis Colts
The Colts and Peyton Manning enter the playoffs as a visiting team. That is because they did not win their division. They did however, win their final nine regular season games and enter the playoffs with a 12 – 4 record – second best to only Tennessee and tied with Pittsburgh. However, even though they had four more victories than the Chargers did, the Chargers were division winners, and as such get home field advantage for this game. The Colts had to deal with injuries to their star running back Joseph Addai, that combined wide receiver Marvin Harrison starting to slow down and show his age. However, tight end Dallas Clark, star wide receiver Reggie Wayne, and MVP quarterback Peyton Manning have the Colts believing that their fans will be the ones seeking Super Bowl packages when the playoffs are over. The Colts and Chargers have already played this season. The Colts won 23 – 20 as the teams traded field goals in the final minute, with Colts place kicker, Adam Vinatieri kicking the winning field goal from 51 yards out as time expires.

#6 Baltimore Ravens
The Ravens have always been a strong defensive team, and this year is no exception. Baltimore finished the regular season second overall – second against the run and third against the pass. However this season was different. Typically, the Ravens defense is what carries them. Several years ago, the Ravens defense guided them to a crushing victory over the New York Giants 34 – 7 in Super Bowl XXXV. That was the last time that the Super Bowl was played in Tampa. This year, the Ravens defense has been given ample support from their offense. This season, Raven’s rookie quarterback Joe Flaco, led an offensive attack that more than held their own. Can the Ravens get their fans ready to buy Super Bowl packages? It will be tough as they are the #6 seed and will play all of their games on the road. That road starts this weekend in Miami against the Dolphins.

National Football Conference
#1 Seed New York Giants
The Giants are the defending Super Bowl champions having pulled off one of the greatest upsets in Super Bowl history by beating the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLII last year. The Patriots were trying to become the first team in history to win all nineteen of their games. The 1972 Miami Dolphins won all seventeen of their games, but that was during a fourteen game regular season. The Giants have dealt with their share of turmoil this season including star wide receiver Plaxico Burress’ difficulties with the law. Through it all, the Giants won twelve games this season and beat the Carolina Panthers in week 16, in what could be an NFC Championship game preview, in overtime. The Giants are led by their Super Bowl XLIII MVP Eli Manning, along with a solid running attack and tough run defense. Could we be heading for a Manning vs. Manning Super Bowl? The Manning brothers have been the last two Super Bowl MVPs. Giant fans, maybe you should start looking for Super Bowl packages now…

#2 Carolina Panthers
The Panthers, like the Giants, like to run the ball. DeAngelo Williams and rookie running back Jonathan Stewart combined for over 2300 rushing yards. However, the Panthers are not just a running team. Diminutive star wide receiver, Steve Smith, seems to get open with ease. Had it not been for a missed field goal as regulation ended in their game against the Giants, the Panthers would have home field advantage throughout the playoffs. They do have a bye in the first round and will host Minnesota, Arizona, or Atlanta next weekend. The Panthers proved that they are as good as any team in the NFC. They have as good a chance as anyone to get to the Super Bowl.

#3 Minnesota Vikings
The Vikings had an up and down season. The Vikings started the season with Tavaris Jackson at quarterback. He performed poorly and the Vikings had a win-now attitude, so they switched to long time veteran Gus Ferrotte. Ferrotte was able to pass effectively which alleviated some of the pressure off of star running back Adrian Peterson. However Ferrotte got injured and Jackson had to resume the role of quarterback. Jackson played very well and the Vikings played well enough to win their division and host a playoff game. They will play the red hot Philadelphia Eagles this weekend. Vikings fans seem more concerned with Peterson’s fumbling of late than they do with planning on purchasing Super Bowl packages.

#4 Arizona Cardinals
The Cardinals are led by Super Bowl winning quarterback Kurt Warner and possibly the best wide receiving corps in the NFL. The Cardinals won the NFC West in convincing fashion and will host a playoff game for the first time since the team moved to Arizoan twenty years ago. Warner led the St. Louis Rams to a Super Bowl victory in Super Bowl XXXIV when the Rams, who were known almost exclusively for their offense, had a goal-line stand on the final play of the game and made a tackle on the one-yard line to beat the Tennessee Titans 23 –16. This Cardinals team is somewhat like that Rams team – it has exceptional wide receivers. However, the Cards lack the running game that the Rams had with Marshall Faulk. Can Warner, along with star wide receivers Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin lead the Cardinals to have their fans start making Super Bowl package plans? Maybe they should take things one game at a time…

#5 Atlanta Falcons
If not for the Miami Dolphins, the Falcons would be awarded Cinderella’s slipper this year. Last season, in 2007, the Falcons finished dead last in their division, with a 4 – 12 record. They made several key acquisitions in the off-season, including obtaining free agent running back sensation Michael Turner. Turner combined with a sensational rookie season from Matt Ryan and the Falcons finished 11 – 5, good enough for second place in the NFC South. The Panthers needed a last second field goal to beat the New Orleans Saints spoiling a tremendous comeback by the Saints. Without that field goal, the Falcons would have been division champs. Like the Dolphins, the Falcons had a soft schedule, but they made the most of it, and have to be considered serious contenders for a run at the Super Bowl. The Falcons have been to the Super Bowl one time, when they lost to the Denver Broncos 34 – 19 in Super Bowl XXXIII. Can the Falcon’s fans start looking at Super Bowl packages? Perhaps, but as a #5 seed, the road will be difficult. The start their Super Bowl quest in Arizona when they face the Cardinals.

#6 Philadelphia Eagles
Like the Chargers, at the beginning of December, it looked as though the Eagles were destined to miss the playoffs this season. Star quarterback Donovan McNabb was benched at halftime of the Eagles – Ravens game in late November. This followed a disappointing tie against the lowly Cincinnati Bengals. The Eagles were 5 - 5 – 1 and seemed likely to miss the playoffs. However, benching McNabb for one half seemed to be the wake-up call that the Eagles needed. They went on to win four of their final five games including crushing the Dallas Cowboys in the final game of the season. That victory sent them storming into the playoffs where they will open up against the Vikings at Minnesota with all the confidence. If they beat the Vikings, they then go to New York to play the Giants. They beat the Giants in New York convincingly in December. The Eagles have been to the Super Bowl twice before. They lost both times. Could this be their year? Last season, the Giants made a run as the 6th seed. Perhaps Eagles’ fans should start thinking about buying Super Bowl packages.

Super Bowl packages are on the minds of all twelve playoff contenders. This year, unlike last season, there is no clear-cut team that seems destined for Tampa. All twelve playoff teams have a reasonable enough chance to go to the Super Bowl.

Super Bowl Packages Scam

Beware of scams for Super Bowl Packages. The Super Bowl is the culmination of the National Football League season. Tickets are expensive and highly sought after. Unfortunately there are many people out there trying to illegally separate you from your money. Do not become a victim of one of these scams. Learn what to look out for. Every year, around this time of year, consumers are warned about these scams. However, many people fall prey to these con artists.

One such scam involves Super Bowl Packages which include everything involved you would need to go to the big game – airline tickets, deluxe hotel accommodations, ground transportation, and maybe even foot vouchers. This would be everything that you would need if you were going to the Super Bowl except for the most important item, the actual Super Bowl tickets. Yes, people may advertise that they are selling discount Super Bowl tour packages. At first glance, the prices on these packages will seem to be significantly less expense than the price that you would find from most any other tour package provider. The reason is obvious. The price of the tickets would be omitted because they are npt actually selling any tickets to you. Since the price of Super Bowl tickets can be extraordinarily expensive, omitting this item from any deal will make the price of that deal seem like it is too good to be true. Well, it is. Here is a good rule of thumb to follow. If someone is offering you a deal on anything, Super Bowl packages or otherwise, that seems too good to be true, it probably is.

The Unites States Department of Transportation (US DOT) consumer protection has created rules specifically for people and businesses that sell Super Bowl packages. These government rules indicate if any businesses that is in the business of selling Super Bowl packages, they must already have the Super Bowl tickets in hand, and be able to show proof of this. This proof includes the tour package promoter must have a contract which indicates that they have secured the tickets on hand before they commence an advertising campaign for these tours. The government agency annually specifically alerts consumers of this potentiality and urges consumers that if that actual Super Bowl tickets are not mentioned in the advertisement or in any other type of solicitation material for the package, that they should skip that promotion and move on to the next one. Unfortunately, if there are no tickets mentioned in the promotion than there probably are not any tickets included in the deal and the consumer will be buying a Super Bowl package that will not get them into see the big game.

The US DOT has specific rules regarding the purchase of Super Bowl packages. These rules indicate that if a tour package had been described as including a game ticket or game tickets to the Super Bowl, or to any event, and you, the consumer did not receive said tickets, then you are entitled to a full and complete refund of the price that you paid and any other directly associated expense for the complete tour package price upon your return and refund request. If the business offering the Super Bowl tour package attempts to increase the agreed upon price for the package by more than 10% over and above the amount that you have originally agreed to pay, then you have the legal right to cancel your order for the package and to request and receive a full and complete refund of any monies already spent by you. The division winners are the teams that finish the sixteen-game regular season with the highest winning percentage among those four teams in each of their respective divisions. The teams that names as the wild card teams are the two teams in each of the two conferences who have the highest winning percentage of the remaining teams in each of the two conferences. Since the league only plays sixteen games, the likelihood of teams finishing tied, with the same record is high. As such there needs to be ways to separate the teams. This separation is referred to as tiebreaker rules. These tiebreakers can be very complicated. We will not go into the details here. Suffice to say that there are many layers of tiebreakers. If in the highly unlikely event, two or more teams are still tied after all of the tiebreaker rules have been processed, the tie would be broken by a coin toss. If you are interested in the details, we suggest that you consult the rulebook at nfl.com.

When the season starts, each team’s ownership groups, fifty-three players, their coaching staffs, and all of their front-office personnel have aspirations of winning the Super Bowl. They dream and hope that their players, friends, families, and fans win their playoff games, and representing their conference, so that their followers can purchase Super Bowl Packages and attend the big game at the end of that season. For many teams this dream is just that, a dream that will not be fulfilled.

Usually there are several teams that have very little chance of making the playoffs and advancing through their conference’s playoffs to go to the Super Bowl. However each year, there are teams who may have played poorly the year before, had a poor won-loss record and do well the following year to get their fans to have the opportunity to obtain Super Bowl Packages.

The National Football League has structured its schedule so that teams, who played poorly one year, have the opportunity to turn things around and have success in the subsequent season. The league does this in the manner in which the schedule their games for the next season. The National Football League is comprised of thirty-two teams. However, each team only plays sixteen games each season. Therefore, there is no way for them to play all of the teams in the league. The league automatically schedules each team to play each of its divisional foes twice each year -- once at home and once at their opponent’s stadium. That is six of the sixteen games. The other ten regular season games are played against other divisions and the other conference. The league creates parity by scheduling those other ten games against teams who had similar won-loss records in the prior season. This means that teams who played well, and won their divisions in one season, will likely be facing many teams who did well themselves. Conversely, teams who played poorly in one season, and wound up with a losing record – a poor won-loss percentage, will be playing against several teams who also had poor won-loss record in the previous season.

This could result in many good teams beating one another and many bad teams beating one another. Or, as was the case in the 2008 season, a team who played poorly in the prior season could do very well in the following season playing against their weak opponents and beating a disproportionate number of them. The 2007 Miami Dolphins narrowly escaped having the dubious distinction of being the first team in National Football League history to go winless in a sixteen game season. They had one win in that season, beating the Baltimore Ravens. In 2008, the following season, the Miami Dolphins had a relatively easy schedule. Combined that with several key changes that they made in player personnel, and the Miami Dolphins improved from one win in 2007 to eleven wins in 2008. By finishing that season with an 11-5 won-loss record, the Miami Dolphins won their division – the American Football Conference East Division and moved on to the playoffs and were able to keep their aspirations of securing Super Bowl Packages. They will host the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, January 4, 2009 at 1:00PM EDT.

Teams who finish one season with a poor record get an easy schedule the following year – they get to play a lot of other teams that had poor records as well. One team that did poorly in 2007 did much worse in 2008. The Detroit Lions had the dubious distinction of being the first team in NFL history to go winless since the league went to a sixteen game schedule. The Detroit Lions finished the season 0-16. There will be no Super Bowl Packages for the Lions, unless they go as spectators.

In 2008, the twelve teams who have advanced to the playoffs to begin the quest for the Super Bowl are:

AFC
1st Seed South Division Winner: Tennessee Titans
2nd Seed North Division Winner: Pittsburgh Steelers
3rd Seed East Division Winner: Miami Dolphins
4th Seed West Division Winner: San Diego Chargers
5th Seed Wild card: Indianapolis Colts
6th Seed Wild card: Baltimore Ravens

NFC
1st Seed South Division Winner: New York Giants
2nd Seed North Division Winner: Carolina Panthers
3rd Seed East Division Winner: Minnesota Vikings
4th Seed West Division Winner: Arizona Cardinals
5th Seed Wild card: Atlanta Falcons
6th Seed Wild card: Philadelphia Eagles

The top two seeds in each conference, those teams with the best records get a bye in the first round of the playoffs. The playoff pairings for the first round of the playoffs are:

Saturday January 3, 2009
Atlanta Falcons @ Arizona Cardinals 4.30pm EDT
Indianapolis Colts @ San Diego Chargers 8:00pm EDT

Sunday January 4, 2009
Baltimore Ravens @ Miami Dolphins 1:00pm EDT
Philadelphia Eagles @ Minnesota Vikings 4:30pm EDT

The pairings for the next round of the playoffs are determined based upon which teams win. The lowest seeded winners will travel to the two top seeds in each conference.

Super Bowl Packages are on their minds of all of these teams have as we enter the playoffs. Good luck to all of them.
