A Leap of Faith

Hello Super-Stars! I hope you are all doing well. I wonder if it is just because I knew I would get an extra day this month that I put off writing this blog until the last minute or, as with all things, Divine Order seems to have a way of giving me just the right amount of time I need by putting appropriate roadblocks in my way so that I am sure to include all that needs to be conveyed. I am going with the Leap of Faith that all is in Divine Order and my tardiness is all part of the BIG PLAN.

First, I want to thank Tina Goularte for so kindly helping me up after I had been bowled-over at the dog park by a couple of large dogs. It is nice to know that there really are Super-Stars all around us and she certainly qualifies! Interestingly enough, she is going to school at the University of South Florida in Tampa to become a nurse and is in ROTC training as well. So, she will graduate as an officer and go overseas to serve in a nursing capacity. I also learned that her boyfriend, Dusk Gosney from Palm Bay, FL, is currently doing an internship in Kathmandu, Nepal. He is working at a hospital for an organization called the Mountain Fund. They are starting up a new project, a women's farming cooperative, and he has been named a project manager. They are in desperate need of funds and I promised her I would ask my subscribers to help as they are able through the Mountain Fund web site at: http://www.mountainfund.org/ Please at least check out the website and if you are unable to help, pass it on to your friends and so forth and so on....I am inspired by the fact that these young people are personally sacrificing so much to help so many...God Bless and God Speed.

Hello Super-Stars! I hope you are all doing well. Happy New Year! Today begins the fifth year of this web site and my blog postings...it's hard to believe it has been four years already! TOGETHER, each New Year presents us with an opportunity for reflection, resolutions and, rejoicing. This is a time for new beginnings; a time to let go of those things that are not serving us; and, a time to think and reflect on the future and our hopes and dreams; pondering that which we would bring to fruition in our lives.

This year in particular, 2012, has been speculated upon, over the ages, for the many changes predicted and expected on the Winter Solstice. I like to believe, as many others do, that TOGETHER we are the solution to bringing humanity through whatever may come to pass; that it is not doomsday with which we are faced, but rather the renewal of a richer and deeper understanding of each other; and, that the future is, and will always be, bright with the Light of the Universe as our guide and comfort.

Several years ago I wrote the poem, "Need to Let it Go." As I continue to bring my Super Star vision to the world, I think it is appropriate to share this inspirational poem again. I hope these words help you to see past today and lead you to a brighter and more fulfilling future. TOGETHER, we are the solution to a better World and Universe; join the Super-Star mission as we create our incredible journey towards Love, Civility and Peace.

Hello Super-Stars! I hope you are all doing well. This day brings with it the opportunity to send thanks to all the people who are important to our daily lives. As well, it is a great time to remember, and thank, those who have selflessly given of their time and love to improve the lives of others and to the world at-large. I am specifically thanking the Super-Star community for living a value-driven life and spreading the Super-Star message.

During the holidays, we must choose to embrace the love, joy, hope for peace, and the significance this time of year inherently fosters. Take time to recognize that which we each give of ourselves...and remember, that we are all equally important to the whole. For this, we must be eternally grateful because, without each other, we would be lonely and without purpose. Be thankful for every aspect of life the Universe has created as a blessing to behold and revere. I am certainly blessed with family and friends whom I treasure and hold dear.

I truly THANK YOU, from the whole of my being, for your part in this, our Super-Star journey. I am blessed beyond words for the opportunity to be a part of your life through this venue. Thank You! Thank You!! Thank You!!! THANK YOU for promoting Love, Civility and Peace!!!

Perception and the Real Truth...

Hello Super-Stars! I hope you are all doing well. What is the "Real Truth"? I believe we all have our own PERCEPTION of what the truth is in the myriad of situations we encounter each day. I try to spend a reasonable amount of time discerning what I believe should be considered when seeking the "Real Truth", in any given scenario. Please remember to respect other points-of-view...it is paramount to having civil discourse.

I try to look at an issue from ALL sides. I am sensitive to the viewpoints and opinions of my peers. I take all nuances into consideration before deciding my stance...but, it is important to remember, that in the end, the sum is my PERCEPTION based on what is known to me...what I have discerned. And, any and all of the above are subject to change depending on what may come to my attention.

The way I think about it is to imagine the ever present "Two Sides of the Coin"...actually there are THREE sides...we very often forget about the edge. The "Edge of the Coin" is where you can go around-and-around, sometimes finding clues to the whole which are just waiting to be discovered, if we take the time to really look. It is important to consider that what may be lying just around the curve will change your opinion...and, therefore, your "Truth"...also known as your PERCEPTION. Hmmm...remember to be open to changing your mind and realizing your PERCEPTION may need adjustment from time-to-time. It is the Super-Star way of thoughtful discernment.

Ten Years...9/11/2001 to 2011

Hello Super-Stars! I hope you are all doing well. I have spent today reminiscing about the ten-year anniversary of the terrorist attacks on America. At the time, in 2001, I lived in Maryland and I was working in Bethesda, MD, a suburb of Washington. The horrific scenes on television of New York's World Trade Center buildings coming down, the Pentagon burning for days-on-end (which many of my coworkers who drove to work from Virginia witnessed) and the airliner that went down in Pennsylvania are all stark images we will never forget. It was a very scary time for our country as rumors of additional attacks on mass transit and other targets abounded. However, even as we became more vigilant, even as we played the hand we were dealt, even as the chaos of the time raged, we also came together as a nation. More importantly...we truly were the United States of America.

It is now more important than ever to remember all we have been through together since that horrific day's chain-of-events...day-to-day...month-to-month...year-to-year; we have had to go on living. We must continue the march toward a kinder world...continue the diligence that our goals of seeking peaceful solutions will succeed...continue to live as a model of freedom for those who want our kind of life. It is through these avenues, and more, in which we must believe, in which will move us forward as a society (nationally and globally) and, in which we must surely prevail for the sake of humanity. I believe most countries around the globe are with us in spirit, words and actions.

Think about the positive impact we all make on the world....think about the positive things we can do to make some one's day...think about the many positive choices we make that are significant contributions to the whole. So you see, we do indeed make a difference TOGETHER...we do indeed NEED EACH OTHER...we are indeed the LOVE, LIGHT AND GOODNESS of HUMANKIND. Promoting Love, Civility and Peace is the Super-Star way and, a great place to start!

Keeping the Faith...

Hello Super-Stars! I hope you are all doing well. When the world seems to be swirling around us in total chaos, it is the perfect time to continue keeping the faith. Keep the faith that all will settle and land as it was meant. Keep the faith that the contribution we make to the whole is worthwhile. Keep the faith that the Universe is in sync. Keep the faith...period.

Although not always easy, keeping the faith...is fuel for the soul; a reason to do well no matter the circumstances; a knowing that the deepest of our thoughts make a difference; brings us to a place where we are one together; it is the bearer of the quintessential essence of harmony.

Keeping the faith requires resounding trust in God, the Universe, or whatever drives your beliefs. Keeping the faith requires patience. Keeping the faith requires perseverance through times of turmoil. And, keeping the faith, will see us through. Promoting Love, Civility and Peace is a good place to start!

Everything Matters

Hello Super-Stars! I hope you are all doing well. Everything matters: good or bad, the consequential reality of every thought, word and action - of us all - makes a difference. When we focus on the positive, good results are more likely to follow. We each have the power to make a difference in our own lives, as well as the lives of those around us, simply by cultivating, practicing and keeping a positive attitude. And, by living a value-driven Super-Star existence, we spread goodwill and kindness; these values have proven time-and-again that we do indeed make an impact on the Universe. Because, EVERYTHING MATTERS!

Everything includes EVERYBODY! Many people are struggling to make ends meet in the tough economic environment which exists today; as a result, many are living on the edge of every penny they manage to earn; living week-to-week or even day-to-day. Thoughts, words and actions of the past have led to the consequential reality that is now. It is the responsibility of us all to move forth toward a more favorable outcome, toward a world where Love, Civility and Peace are valued and cherished cornerstones of the very existence of mankind. In doing so, we will effect great change for the betterment of all. Because, EVERYTHING MATTERS!

Whether big or small, our every thought, word or action makes a difference. You need only look at your own life to realize the truth of that statement. Making good choices will achieve better results. All decisions should be given careful thought; words should be spoken in truth; ensuing actions will direct the future toward a more beneficial outcome for the Universe. As we navigate our lives we must be mindful of the impact we make. Because, EVERYTHING MATTERS!

Hello Super-Stars! I hope you are all doing well. I thought this post, originally written in 2009, was worth repeating. Memorial Day was established as a National Day of Remembrance for all those who have fought for Peace. I know it sounds absurd that we must "fight" for Peace. I ask why? Surely the human race is intelligent enough to realize that when fighting, Peace is absent; but the goal is still Peace...to me, this is insane. However, history has shown time and again, the fragility of Peace; continuing cycles of war and peace. Seemingly, generation after generation has faced some conflict or another. Again, I ask why?

I believe we should be thinking, speaking and taking action toward the goal of sustained Peace; thereby breaking the cycle that has plagued almost every generation, including our own. Do we want today's children to face an ongoing struggle for Peace? I think not. The goal has always been to make the future more optimistic, prosperous and peaceful. There is no time like the present to be part of the solution to create and include a peaceful existence for all the peoples on Earth. Remember, as Super-Stars, together, we are MIGHTY!

Please continue cultivating an attitude that is geared toward creating a life and world that promotes Love, Civility and Peace! Know that the time is now, this minute and every minute, to embark on, or continue, a Super-Star way of life. The benefits will be far-reaching...our own ripples in the fabric of the Universe will create the peaceful and loving world we all envision. This is our reality; we must think, talk and act PEACE! Please spread the message for Love, Civility and Peace...the time is now!

After the Fury of the Storm...

Hello Super-Stars! I hope you are all doing well. This year has brought many changes to humanity around the world. You need only watch the Nightly News to learn of the havoc and upheaval that is raging. However, I firmly believe that it is during these times in particular that allow us to see the good...the good which does indeed surround us...the inherent good of humanity...the small and large blessings that bring so many wonderful tidings into our daily lives.

A while back I wrote a poem to share at a memorial service for a friend who had passed away. I think it is a good time to share it again...with a few appropriate edits...

After the Fury of the Storm
The journey through it ended
The sun once again shines
Illuminating the passing darkness
To show us an awesome, brilliant & Sacred Rainbow
A glimpse of Heaven’s beauty on earth
A vision of the glory of the Universe
A sign to give us hope

We will rise again atop the mountain
Our determination strong and sure
As we go forward embracing all the lessons
As we weather the storms that may pass
A Sacred Rainbow will surely light our way

Hello Super-Stars! I hope you are all doing well. This month has brought many tragedies and upheavals around the World; from the devastation of Japan to the uprisings in the Middle East and beyond. I believe the World needs the combined concentration of our Prayers, Love and Light...now more than ever; it should become an inherent part of our daily lives to do what we are able to with our thoughts words and actions in order to help the healing process so acutely needed.

I will keep this post short so we have more time to give to the extraordinary circumstances the World faces at this time. I truly believe we all make a difference!!!

Caring...

Hello Super-Stars! I hope you are all doing well. I really do care about what happens to my family, friends, and acquaintances. However, I think it is also important to note that I also care about the many people I see as I go about my daily life...people I really don't know; those I regularly see about and around (used to be, we all actually knew our neighbors;) the cashier at the convenience store (yes, they are worthy and they work holidays too;) the homeless people begging for money on almost every street corner (a sad state of existence to even contemplate;) and, how I wonder about, and pray for, all these and other people with whom I may come across.

Caring comes from a place in my heart which is inherently seated there by Love, is innately a part of who I am; and, is reflected by how I extend my caring to others in this, my Super-Star value-driven life. I like to believe we all feel this way without having to think about it; that it is just a part of each of us; that our humanity shines brightly; that the impact we each have on the whole is intangible; and, therefore collectively, creates an infinitely powerful tool on which the Universe feeds.

Caring is a very good thing and worth cultivating in every aspect of our existence. To just sit back and do nothing helpful, when the time presents itself, is to miss an opportunity to make a difference which may very well be a turning point of profound importance. Promoting Love, Civility and Peace is one of many ways we care for each other and, the Universe at-large appreciates all the positive energy we freely give.

Hello Super-Stars! I hope you are all doing well. I encourage you to spend these next few days, leading up to and including, Valentine's Day really thinking about Love. Please take time to think about all the different kinds of, and ways, that you love and, are loved in return. Love is part and parcel to your very existence. Have you ever really thought about how much you are loved? If you've been paying attention, you don't even have to hear the words, "I love you," to know you are cherished.

Love is that which the Universe thrives upon, what feeds the soul of the earth and the heart of all life. Every organism is touched by Love...the Light of Love is within all that is good...the fruit of Love is abundant and sweet. Love is in the eyes of the parent looking adoringly at their children; it is in the eyes of sweethearts as they give freely of themselves to the other; it is in the eyes of all who live a value-driven life; it is in YOUR eyes. Your Super-Star eyes!!!

Time used pondering Love is time well spent. Engulf your world with Love. Give, and accept, no less. Open your heart wide and feel your Universe of Love expand exponentially. It's really very simple, just...Love...Love...Love!!!

Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. - 2011

Hello Super-Stars! I hope you are all doing well. Monday is the 25th anniversary of observance of the National Holiday celebrating the life of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. He was a vital figure of the modern era and a pivotal figure in the Civil Rights Movement. His lectures and dialogues stirred the concern and sparked the conscience of a generation and beyond. His charismatic leadership inspired men and women, young and old, black and white, in this nation and around the world. I often wonder what a difference he, and so many others lost to violence through the years, would have made had they lived...I believe we all make a difference, so I can only imagine the possibilities. However, we are still here...it's our responsibility to continue to promote Civility. Had he lived, he would have been eighty-two years old today...

Following in the footsteps of his father, in February 1948, at the age of 19, Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. entered the Christian ministry and was ordained at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta. In 1954, upon completion of graduate studies at Boston University, he accepted a call to serve at the Dexter Avenue Baptist Church in Montgomery, Alabama. While there, he was an instrumental leader in the Montgomery Bus Boycott, made famous by the nonviolent resistance and arrest of Rosa Parks. He resigned this position in 1959 to move back to Atlanta to direct the activities of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference. From 1960 until his death in 1968, he also served as co-pastor with his father at Ebenezer Baptist Church. Dr. King was arrested 30 times for his participation in civil rights activities.

While Dr. King preached about justice, empowerment, love and peace, in the final months of his life, his attention was turned to fighting poverty. Sadly, more Americans live in poverty today than during Dr. King's lifetime. Forty-seven million Americans currently fall below the poverty line. Dr. King was shot while standing on the balcony of the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, Tennessee and died on April 4, 1968. He had gone to Memphis to help lead sanitation workers in a protest against low wages and intolerable working conditions.

Three years ago today I made the first post to this blog and I want to thank you all for giving me the opportunity to be a part of your lives, to make a difference in the world and, for all of your positive feedback and encouragement. The gifts I send to you through my writing are given back to me in abundance, and more!

As we go forward into the next year, and beyond, I would ask you to please continue to share, foster and cultivate the Super-Star way of life and its message of promoting Love, Civility and Peace. Let us all spread as much Love, Light and positive energy as possible. The Universe is continually evolving and feeding on our energy; all thoughts, words and actions are part and parcel to this ebb and flow of all life.

World AIDS Day 2010 - A Special Message

Hello Super-Stars! I hope you are all doing well. December 1st is World AIDS Day. This day has been set aside as a Worldwide day of remembrance for all those persons we have lost; for all those who suffer today; and, for all those who are working to eradicate this pandemic. Our collective prayers and hope for a vaccine and cure are very much needed. Please send your thoughts of Love, Civility and Peace to all these souls.

I have said before, and I will say again, "My life has forever been touched and changed by the scourge of AIDS." I would think that at this point in the fight against AIDS, almost everyone still alive knows, or knows of, a person who has suffered or is still affected and living with the virus. Personally, I have lost many of my friends over the past twenty-five plus years to this disease...so many wasted lives...too many.

In the Super-Star spirit of caring for others, please continue to send positive light and love to this cause. Remember that we are all here for a purpose. Support each other equally and with dignity. Love each other with joy and blessings. Be kind in all ways. Give of yourself as much as possible. Together...WE do indeed...make a difference

Friends and Family

Hello Super-Stars! I hope you are all doing well. Tonight, I am currently celebrating the fellowship of being with family and friends. With the holidays upon us, these times have the opportunity of being the best we've ever had and shared together...should we choose to celebrate with that frame of mind. After all of my health problems this year, I feel fortunate to be here...the here and now here. I certainly intend to enjoy every single minute of every day. I highly recommend this choice. Hmm...

Time with family is precious and worthy of the special recognition it marks in our hearts for its lifelong impact. When we remember the nostalgia of previous days and years; the smell of holiday food cooking, the conversations of love and caring...we will surely embrace these feelings and hold them close. Friends may come and go, but let us remember, these are the people we CHOOSE to spend time with (anytime of the year)...these people may very well become a part of our "extended family;" always in our thoughts and prayers, just as is our family; every one a blessing to be cherished as we grow older, and wiser, together.

Family and Friends are the cornerstones of our lives; part of the foundation upon which we stand...to be who we are, to do what we must and, helping us to remember, and understand, why. The why is what keeps us going; the reality of tomorrow, and the days to come, will lead the way. The Super-Star message and mission is the perfect gift for all those we hold close and love. Celebrate the magic of the holiday season with all the people you hold dear. Share the Love...Share the Civility and, most definitely, Share the Peace!!! Now, it's time to get back to my family and friends...salute!!!

Super-Stars to the Rescue!

Hello Super-Stars! I hope you are all doing well. Today I had a "SNAFU" with my car. After finishing an errand, I got into the car, put the key into the ignition and the key would not turn. I am generally mechanically savvy (or so I like to think - ha!) I tried everything I knew to get the key to turn; turning the wheel to engage and release its locking mechanism in order that the key would work (no such luck); releasing the transmission shifter into neutral (again, no luck); nothing I tried worked. However, as I considered my options, I thought, "Okay...all is in Divine order. Just try to stay calm."

First, I called my friend Michelle, who promptly dropped everything she was doing and came to my rescue...I believe she showed-up in less than ten minutes knowing I had a long list of errands still to get done in the bargain...A true Super-Star, to say the least!!! Then, I had her try to get the key to turn...not happening...Grrr!!! As she was sitting in the car, a gentleman happened along and asked if he could help. We said, "Sure, can't hurt." Well, of course, it took him less than half-a-minute to get the key to finally turn and the car started. Yippee!!!

This gentleman's name is Raymond. Here was a man just being a Good Samaritan and, in so doing, was my second hero of the day. Forevermore, he is a Super-Star as far as I'm concerned. Thanks Raymond!!! And Michelle...I already knew she was a Super-Star, but today, she went above and beyond. She even followed me to my next stop to make sure the car would start again...of course, all was fine. Thanks Michelle...you're TRULY a Super-Star!!! And, all played-out in Divine order...

Thoughts on Maturing...

Hello Super-Stars! I hope you are all doing well. I have written before about my coming to realize that growing-up, or maturing, is a lifelong process. Whether we are at the beginning of our teen years or, in our twenties or thirties and beyond, there is an on-going process of realization that perhaps we may have behaved in an inappropriate manner at one point or another in the past. This realization is key to the maturing process. Making amends and admitting those regressions to the people they have affected is paramount to growing-up and making appropriate adjustments. The thoughts, words and actions we choose in this process will directly steer us toward being the value-driven kind of person for which the Super-Star acronym stands and, realizing the sought-after goals we set for ourselves.

When I was a teenager, I thought I knew everything and, of course, that my parents did not. It dawned on me in my early twenties that perhaps I was mistaken in those teenage beliefs, for which I readily apologized to my parents, and made amends for my actions as a teenager. It is now that I realize my parents had already been teenagers themselves and that they knew much more than I gave them credit for and, that each generation goes through the same rites of passage as they grow into young adults. I have found that the notion that we are "All grown-up" because we have reached our twenties is continually challenged as I get older. When we finally realize maturing is a lifelong process, we are able to forgive ourselves, and others, for perceived mistakes in order to move on in this life without guilt; it is very important to recognize our mistakes and make amends along life's journey.

Learning the truth about how our own thoughts, words and actions really do affect ourselves, and each other, is an enlightening and powerful experience. The fact that we are all on the same journey we call "Life," gives us the opportunity to acknowledge how similar we are and, in that spirit of togetherness, that we are all at various levels of maturity; which is not necessarily determined by chronological age, but rather by each person's experiences and their willingness to discover and grow with the lessons of "Life." Remember to be kind when you recognize that someone is on a learning curve and needs space and time to mature...in their own way...at their own pace...just as you need the same. Living a Super-Star life is a good place to start...the Universe will gratefully accept all positive choices!

A Gift!!!

Hello Super-Stars! I hope you are all doing well. Each and every one of us is a GIFT unto this world...this Universe we share. That's right...think about it...all of us, our family members and friends, are individually special...and, in so many ways that deserve recognition and affirmation. The impact we have in this life is so much more than that which we give ourselves credence. And, for that, we each need to acknowledge that we are a GIFT!!!

A Gift is a present to cherish; a treasure to behold; and, a giving of heart and soul. Our thoughts, words and actions are contributions to the whole; the source of energy which nurtures the Universe; and, as we give of ourselves, we too, receive much in return through the relationships we cultivate. Wow, as we collectively empower each other, our lives are richer for the effort...yes, truly and always, a GIFT!!!

With that in mind, please be continually cognizant of how important you are...how consequential your every action...and, how worthwhile you are as a part of the whole. Please continue to live a life that promotes Love, Civility and Peace and the Super-Star message!!! That is a GIFT I wholeheartedly endorse and give freely!!!

Hello Super-Stars! I hope you are all doing well. I would like to thank all of my family and friends for your love, prayers and continued well wishes as I continue to recover after a heart attack I suffered just over a month ago. I'm still trying to wrap my brain around it all. However, the prognosis is very promising and gives me much encouragement and hope for a healthier tomorrow.

The Super-Star blog and mission has been put on a back-burner as a result, but I am very much dedicated to continuing the journey. And, of course, I hope you will keep the message and mission alive too, as we watch our Super-Star future unfold. I know my passion for us creating a much kinder and positive world together is as strong as ever. We are the ones and the time is NOW! I truly believe the possibilities are as infinite as the Universe, which is ever growing and, supportive of our every effort. Please continue to cultivate the habit of Love, Civility and Peace.

Again, I thank you all. Know that I am doing as much as possible to recover fully and have begun a journey of healthier choices; some things are just not on the menu anymore...(ie. cigarettes, fastfood and all that junkfood I formerly consumed.) The Super-Star message and mission shall always be on the menu! So, please go forward promoting Love, Civility and Peace!!!

We Make a Difference!

Hello Super-Stars! I hope you are all doing well. We Make a Difference!!! Simply by being Polite, Courteous and Gracious. When we interact with family, friends and others, these attributes, and more, will serve us well and, that will help spread the Super-Star spirit and message of Love, Civility and Peace. Imagine the many beneficial consequences that will be produced if we all practice and, therefore, make these quality attributes a habit of our everyday lives. Why does it matter if we are Polite, Courteous and Gracious? How does the way we treat others affect us?

The Laws of the Universe naturally and effectively expand the ripple effect our thoughts, words and actions have on the whole. The consequences of all this Makes a Difference! For instance, when you practice these quality habits, you may see an immediate response in kind which will also brighten your day and life...because, We Made a Difference! So yes, it matters and, together, we are collectively building a brighter future. Keep in mind that how we treat others inevitably affects how we are treated in return.

The return on the investment of the quality habits we practice, by simply being nice, will come back to us when we least expect it and, when it is most needed. The Universe is set-up to give back to us that which we put forth. I don't know about you, but I prefer people being nice to me. The world is a diverse community that deserves our regard and kindness. As Super-Stars, it is our job to spread the message; it is responsible to think, speak and act in a quality manner; and, it's the right thing to do. So, go forward being Polite, Courteous, Gracious and, so much more; they are all quality habits worth cultivating. We do, indeed, Make a Difference!!!

Positive Forces...

Hello Super-Stars! I hope you are all doing well. In keeping with the Super-Star mission, please keep sending the Positive Force of your thoughts, words and actions into the Universe. When you see someone who seems sad, send them positive vibes; when you recognize that a negative situation is brewing, send out your positive vibes to those all involved; when all is well, continue to think, say and do the positive thing. The Positive Force, of us all, is a mighty tool indeed, and one which the Universe needs and appreciates.

The mystery of the Universe continues to unfold and show us just how very much of a difference we all make with our day-to-day lives...individually and collectively. We need only to really take a look around to notice the impact we make, let alone the impact we make as a UNITED Positive Force. The possibilities toward the good of mankind, and of all the creatures of the Universe, are infinite...just as the reaches of the Universe are infinite and Divine.

Be a Positive Force in every thing, in every way and, forevermore!!! The mission is simple...the rewards are beyond imagination...but, the outcome is the destiny we choose by our very thoughts, words and actions as Super-Stars! Continue the journey of choice toward a more abundant life with the power of Positive Force!

Taking the Lead...

Hello Super-Stars! I hope you are all doing well. Sometimes I find it necessary to "Take the lead..." for situations that arise, which I have tried to resolve peacefully with patience and compassion, but then find myself at a dead-end. Point-in-fact...I tried to reason with a man who has an aggressive dog. His dog has attacked several other dogs at the dog park on more than one occasion. I had hoped to get him to at least consider that his dog is truly aggressive and a nuisance to other people and their pets who frequent this dog park. This is not the first time I have had this conversation with the same person. I, and many others, have seen time and again the actions of his dog. His excuse is always that it is the other dog's fault.

Unfortunately, this man did not agree with my opinion, nor the opinion of many of the other people at the park. So, I took the lead and called the police. I did tell him I was doing so, but I guess he didn't believe me, because he continued to stay at the park and, in the meantime, his dog was in two more aggressive situations. Sometimes you just want to scream!!! Of course, that would not help and, is not a very Super-Star way of doing things. Anyhow, the police arrived at the dog park and, after I showed them where he was...(trying to leave the park before encountering the authorities)...they eventually banned him and his dog from the park for at least six months. My thanks to the many dog owners, who came forward once the police were there, who confirmed and backed-up my allegations with the officers.

"Taking the Lead" is not always easy or comfortable, but some situations warrant action and this was one of them! Safety at the dog park is a mutual responsibility shared by all of the dog owners who use the facility. This man was duly warned and disregarded every single sign that his dog was a problem. I am hopeful that this man takes the time to realize how significant a responsibility it is to consider the safety and well-being of all. By the way, I do not even own a dog; I have gone to this park occasionally with a friend and her dog. She tells me there is now a collective sigh of relief from the other people who frequent the park. "Take the Lead"...be a Super-Star...promote Love, Civility and Peace!!!

Life's Lessons

Hello Super-Stars! I hope you are all doing well. As we mature throughout life - I believe this is a lifelong process - we are given many options from which to choose on how we want to be, and live. Some people take risky pathways, but others may be more careful as to where they focus their energies and innate gifts. Either way, living a Super-Star life, driven by the core values of the acronym, will certainly give you a place from which to help build a world of Love, Civility and Peace. While creating a value-driven life, it is important to remember that you are always learning and embracing new ideals, but it is just as important to teach these values and ideals as you grow. All of life's lessons are the building blocks of our existence.

Teaching and learning go hand-in-hand. Teaching, by using words and the actions to back them up, is most effective when done with an expectation of success - staying positive is crucial. I think it is also important to admit if you have made a mistake...think about the outcome...you are sharing a learning experience with someone else and, in turn, they too have learned the lesson. As well, appreciation for your forthright humility, will further the outcome. Sharing our values gives us the opportunity to teach each other, but also allows us to learn from those we are trying to help...including ourselves. The energy continues on and on...into the ripples of the principle Laws of the Universe.

Keep promoting Love, Civility and Peace. Teach and learn. Learn and teach. The effort will be worth your time as you make a difference in your own life, as well as the lives of your family and friends...and all their friends...and all the friends of friends...the infinite possibilities of the extent to which your thoughts, words and actions will resound is amazing to imagine. All is possible when we live and love through a value-based foundation.
