What is Nextcloud?

Nextcloud is basically an open sourced productivity platform that can be self-hosted on any server, including the The One Hosting plan. Inside there, it provides multiple cloud-based tools (or apps as they call it) that can very useful to your company. Think of it like Google’s G Suite but without any subscription fee, without any big data mining from big corporation, without any limitation on storage size (except the size of your hosting account) because everything runs on your own server.

Nextcloud Files

This one comes pre-installed and there is no way you can remove it’s the core for the whole platform. Nextcloud Notes

The Notes app is a distraction free notes taking app. It provides categories for better organization and supports formatting using Markdown syntax. Notes are saved as files in your Nextcloud, so you can view and edit them with every Nextcloud client. Furthermore, a separate RESTful API allows for an easy integration into third-party apps (currently, there are notes apps for Android and iOS which allow convenient access to your Nextcloud notes). Upon further investigation, all of the users who experienced such issue are using Outlook as their email software.

Apparently, the option “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication” which was previously checked, was suddenly unchecked without their knowledge.

For the time being, we are still not sure why is this happening. However, we suspect there is a bug with latest version of Outlook and the option was unchecked after the software was automatically updated.

Please note that there is no way we can change the settings in your PC software.

So, if you are having trouble sending out email suddenly while using Outlook, remember to re-check this option…

If you don’t have any special reason to use Outlook, please consider switching to our favourite email software; eM Client.

PayPal has grown bounds and leaps over the years, reaching its arm to countries that were previously frowned upon including Malaysia as the security of credit cards improved. Gone were the days where we need to open up a US bank account to use its service where such knowledge is only limited to a small group of so called “Internet Guru”.
