Prep Your Pets for New Construction in Your Home

Are you planning to have some construction go on in your home? If you’re planning to add in some of the beautiful tile and solid surface options that Surface Center offers into your Kansas City area homes, then you are likely going to have a little unrest in your home. While this is easier for you to understand, your dogs, cats, or birds will likely be a little out of sorts during this process. Make it a little easier on your pet by following these steps:

Make an appointment at your vet prior to construction. If your pet is hiding symptoms of any illness, the stress from all the noise and change could agitate the illness and make symptoms more apparent.
Make sure your pet has a chip in case they try to run away.
Keep familiar things like toys and their favorite bedding out and try to play soothing music or keep the television on to drown out some of the construction sounds.
