Top 5: My Zalora Wishlist

For a while I’ve been looking for an online clothing store here in the Philippines where I can get stuff without having to drop by the mall but it’s so hard and if ever there was, it was so rare for me to find what I’m looking for.

So the other day when I saw Zalora, I felt relieved that finally there’s an online shop where I can do my shopping at the comfort of my own home. It’s fun ‘cause there are so much good stuff to choose from. I was even surprised to find out today that they now have a home and living section! Exactly what I’m looking for! Really cool!

Anyway, here’s the top 5 on my wishlist today. There are so much other pretty stuff I love but let’s just stick to 5 for now.

1. Cricket Skirt from Plains and Prints

I love this aqua-colored skirt ‘cause it reminds me of cool, summer beach waves! Looks so refreshing and neat. Perfect for afternoon coffee dates my best friends!

2. Empire Pleated Dress from Nana G.

I’d love to wear this cutie dress for the office. Just pair it with a pretty blazer and later in the day, I can go straight to a friends’ tea party.

3. Baggy Boots from Palladium

This super cool and comfy boots would look good in skinny jeans or shorts, perfect for weekend getaways with the family.

4. Skinny Jeans from Plains and Prints

Since it’s still summer and it’s hard to move around because of the heat, wearing white skinny jeans is perfect to keep you comfy, cool and looking neat.

What I love about white skinny jeans is that it can be used for both casual and formal looks. Good investment piece for your closet.

5. Pastel Sunglasses from Elle

Pastel sunglasses are “In” right now and this lovely, oversized glasses from Elle are just too pretty and glam to miss!

There’s so much more I like at Zalora. I’ll write up another post about ‘em soon.

I can’t believe how good and creative mommy bloggers can get when it comes to DIY home décor!

Last month, I posted about the cutie pink swatch chandelier tutorial on Hey Gorgeous! and I thought I’ve seen everything. Now look at what I’ve found on Freshly Picked Blog! I can’t help but be amazed how they could think of replacing capiz shells (which are expensive) with wax paper! So cool!

I’m really thinking of making one for my room… I love how the light and the soft paper go together {Looks elegant and expensive! lol} Only that… I don’t know how sew! Yay! I don’t know even know how to use a sewing machine.

Isn’t it gorgeous?

Have you seen my recent post about yummy-looking soaps? I`m seeing them everywhere on the web these days and I still can`t help but be amazed. Those pear-shaped bath fizzies are so yummy and sweet-looking. I hope someone would make those kinds of stuff here in the PI. I was thinking of starting a soap business for a year now, but it would really take a lot of study to be able to that, wouldn`t it?

Anyway, that ice cream dispenser above isn`t from Etsy, but isn`t it so cute and helpful for parties? And that Night Owl baby hat. Cutie!

I wouldn`t be writing linkies for photos above because I made them into an image map. Just click on the item you like and you`ll be directed to the sites selling them. ;) Learning CSS is awesome. It sure is not easy for a beginner like me, but it makes reader experience a whole lot easier.

Yummy-Looking Handmade Soaps

I was stunned to find these oh, so gorgeous and yummy looking soaps on Etsy. Why, they look like real food and if you`ve got kids in the house, you have to make sure to keep them away because they look so real—and tasty!

These soaps are quite expensive but I doubt that you would use them up quite fast. Aaahk! So cute!

I hope my sister Viola doesn`t read this. Ah, she`ll laugh at me forever.

This morning she joked that my heart was racing and my hands were shaking, like how I tease her all the time. And I laughed at her, because she`s so good in imitating my joke and throwing it back at me. She really made me laugh with her hands trembling like an internet freak having withdrawal symptoms. ;) But laughing, to be honest, was a bit hard because…yeah, it was true. My heart was really racing… and numb. And tears could fall down down my cheeks anytime. And at times I even feel like birds {Did you their hearts stop beating when they get extremely lonely and heartbroken?} And my alibi that it was all because I lack sleep… that was lame, isn`t it?

You wouldn`t believe how many times I talked to myself the whole day, reminding myself to trust God and not take back the worries I have already surrendered to Him. And if there`s one thing I`m learning in this, it is the persistence and determination to stay encouraged in trembling, heart-numbing times. One`s really got to learn to tell his heart to beat again..and trust again. And if speaking doesn`t work, one has to learn something else. And to be really good in it, at that. We must learn how to do a little cheerleading! {Oops! Does that sound a bit out of this world?}

I am Cathy. A graphics designer by day. A video editor by night. A youth leader during the weekend. Plus, a blogger all the time. Always on the go. Always running to and fro.

My 5-Minute Make-up

I`m the kind of girl who wants to get out of the house right away after I`ve dressed up. And make-up time doesn`t take quite long because I finish quick—except when I`m in the mood or when I`m going out for an important event. I`m always in the mood these days, btw, so my sisters always tell me to hurry up on most days. haha

Here`s what`s on my kit. I think I have a lot more on my make-up bag but these are what I normally use everyday. I don`t have mascara now. I borrow from my sister Ava. haha

Shiseido Maquillage Sheer Lipsticks

I like sheer lipsticks because they don`t cover your natural lipcolor with a new one but enhances it. Maquillage lipsticks are extra moisturizing and they come in beautiful shades. I have one in pink and in peach.

Mary Kay Blush

They`re matte and looks really neat when you get your eyes defined well.

Maybelline Clear Smooth Extra

I recently bought this because I don`t want to waste my liquid foundation for everyday use, but sad to say, it doesn`t blend with my skin so well.

Clinique Color Surge Eyeshadow

I love this because it`s between shimmer and matte. Not so shiny, not so matte. Just perfect!

Shiseido Flawless Skin Liquid SPF42 PA+++

Totally my favorite! It`s right to be named Flawless Skin Liquid. Spreads smoothly and covers perfectly. You`ll end up looking like a Korean actress with perfect Shiseido skin. haha

Mary Kay Lipstick in Pink Daisy

I love this because it complements my skin well. When I feel lazy defining my eyes, I just put on this lipstick and I`m done.

This is an affordable but quality product. My sisters and I have this in many different colors!

As a young lady who values her worth, she must also know how to take care of herself right? Of course, as a modesty advocate, I don`t agree in vanity and I believe beauty is not on the outward appearance and make-up should not define a girl. One`s self esteem should be based on her value to God and not on how beautiful her make up is.

I also believe make-up should be used appropriately (right age, right amount, right reasons) and should not be overdone. And I hope that girls, even if they wear make up sometimes, could still go out without make-up on and still be comfortable in themselves. We`re always beautiful as we are!
