These three grown-up kids wanted to surprise their mom with a custom portrait session for Christmas. What a wonderful gift to find under the tree...I don't know many moms who wouldn't love great pictures of themselves with their kids! It was a really chilly day, but they hung in there like champs. :-)

For awhile I've been trying to think of a good way to describe the different sizes of prints and how bigger prints make for much better wall portraits. For lack of time and creativity, I just haven't gotten around to it. Luckily another photographer - Amy of Amy Ro Photography (who is an awesome photographer) has written a wonderful blog post doing just that. I encourage you to read her blog post and be inspired to create beautiful wall galleries in your own home!

I traveled to Auburn, AL this morning to meet Miss "A" and her wonderful parents. She's another little Christmas baby - born on Dec. 18th. At 10 days old, she slept like an absolute angel for me and we got to do all kinds of fun things.

The pose below was a really tough one, but oh so worth it!

Oh, sweet little Sam came into this world 9 days ago and has made it a better place ever since! He was such a perfect little angel for me this morning and I had so much fun with his precious family. I just love this little guy!

What a special Christmas blessing this family received today (well, on the 18th...I posted this on the wrong blog...oops!!) ...the birth of their first son, Baby Sam. Emily had a fairly quick labor and Baby Sam was born at 3:01pm weighing 7lbs. 7oz. and measuring 20in. long. It was such a joy to be there to document this special day for them and I was honored to witness Sam's entrance into the world!

It was a long night of anticipation for these two so they were exhausted already:
Nothing like a nice little foot rub from Dad!

It wasn't long and Baby Sam was here!

I followed Baby Sam to the nursery and let his new Dad take over the documenting at that point since I couldn't go in with him (isn't there a way to change that rule? ;-))

Merry Christmas from Suzanne Williams Photography! I'm officially putting up my "closed" sign for the holidays and stepping away from the computer to spend some time with my family. I met up with Miss "S" and her sweet parents on Sunday to capture her at 9 months old. The last time I saw her was at 6 months and she was just barely sitting up. Now she's sitting like a champ and is scooting all over the place. She'll be walking in no time and keeping her parents on their toes!

I've been waiting to meet this little cutie pie for months now. I photographed her beautiful older sister this summer and mom planned ahead and scheduled Miss "E"'s newborn session then. She was a great sleeper and was so good to me!

I went to this sweet family's home on Sunday afternoon to take some photos of Mr. "C" at 6 months old. He is such a happy and smiley little guy. Or I should say big guy...he weighs in at 20 lbs. already! Maybe an Auburn football career is in his future? I think that would make his daddy happy!

Meet Mr. "J". He is a miracle baby to say the least. He was born at 8.5 weeks early and weighed only 2.5 lbs, but yet he had no medical issues other than his weight. God had His hand on him that's for sure! Mr. "J" is now a thriving 3 month old, but still is a tiny little peanut at only 7 lbs. When his mommy contacted me about doing some "newborn" pictures of her sweet boy, I warned her that it would be tough at 3 months to get many curled up newborn shots. But he sure proved me wrong! He slept like a champ and we got some precious images of him.

~ Lisa and Bo - it was so wonderful to meet you all and your sweet little boy! I am so honored that I was able to document this special time in your lives and I hope to see you again soon!

I met up with this sweet family on Friday afternoon at Blount Park. This was my second session with them...the first was when their youngest was just a newborn. It's amazing how much a baby changes in just 3 months! We had a great session with beautiful weather and gorgeous fall color.

It really is a small world! When I met up with this family to capture Mr. "O" at 2 years, his dad and I realized that we both went to the same middle school for 7th grade. It's fun to see how we've both grown up and have kids of our own now. He and his sweet wife have an adorable little guy who is tough as nails...he took a tumble during our session but after a quick snuggle with mom, he was off and running again! :-)

I had such a blast with these guys at their maternity session and I had a very hard time narrowing down my favorites! I have known Emily since we were both in elementary school and our moms are the best of friends. They really are like family to us. Emily and Scott married in March and are having a honeymoon baby - she's due at the end of December. :-) Check back later this year, because I have the honor of photographing their baby's birth and Baby "S" will make his debut here hopefully before the end of the year!

I saw this sign a while back and couldn't wait to use it!

The weather was beautiful Friday afternoon for a family session and the light couldn't have been better at the Shakespeare Festival. I met up with the "B" family to take a family picture and to document their little girls at 2 years and 3 months.

We did get some smiling images of sweet baby "B" but these two just stood out to me.

Suzanne Williams Photography is officially booked solid for 2009! I think I have squeezed in every session possible and just don't have time to fit anything else in. The only exception is newborns: if you're expecting in late November or December, please contact me...I can't make any promises, but I will do my absolute best to fit you in.

So with that being said, I have opened up my calendar for January, February, and March of 2010. Please contact me if you would like to schedule a session. Remember - session fee must be paid at the time of booking (or within 5 days if paying by check) to lock in current prices.

Ok - stay tuned in upcoming weeks...I will have a bunch of sneak peeks of beautiful children to share!

And because I hate to post without a picture; one more of sweet baby boy...
***Edited to add: if you're completing your child's first year portraits (ex. 3 month, 6 month, etc.) with me and they won't be one until after March, it's ok. The old pricing will still apply to you as long as you book before the end of the year.

I love photographing redheads! Red hair just looks beautiful in a photograph...such rich color. And this brother and sister were a prime example of just that.

You already saw one from this session, but I of course had to add some more! This little guy is just oh so sweet...I had so much fun spending time with this family! You can just tell how much they adore their little man. I think he wins the prize for longest newborn session - 6 hours spread over two days! But all that time was worth it because I absolutely love what we captured.
