I'm in love with the fun and funky vintage wall plaque that I scored this morning at a family run estate sale.
Family run sales are the best.
This is a big boy, at 36 inches across. It's made from a sturdy plastic and stamped Made in the USA.
It's looks just fab-o hanging on the wall outside my bedroom.

If only I had a finished basement with a dining area (no basements here on the coast), then I could bring this fabulous dining set home from the thrift store.
The tabletop and chair backs are amber colored lucite. The chairs are covered in a "shag" orange fabric. SOOOOO fabulous.
This is exactly what I'm looking for to go in the kitchen, but it has to be round and I only need four chairs. *sigh*
What is it about this post holiday month that brings on the nesting instincts in triplicate?
Well, I actually starting some serious nesting action back in November during the heat of the holidays, and I started with my dining room.
I had completely turned the style around with a new to me vintage dining set and china cabinet but was still left with this massive Mission/Empire style sideboard.
I was able to re-home the sideboard a couple of weeks ago and while visiting mamapeach in TN we took a trip over to Asheville, NC where I found the perfect piece to compliment the rest of the decor.
I decided to start looking around for some vintage table linens. Placemats, napkins and napkin rings. Linens I hadn't used in the decor before but they seemed appropriate for this room now.
It didn't take me anytime to find some great pieces.
Growing up we had these same placemats in green. These are vintage, but unused with the original tags intact. Sweet.
Next I found the linen napkins and then the perfect vintage japan wooden rings.
Dining room is pretty complete now, just need to remove the broken Nutone intercom, patch the wall and DONE. Kitchen is next, going 70's mod all the way in there :->
While perusing the local Craigslist ads recently I came across a most fabulous set of double wall ovens. What makes them totally drool worthy is that they are vintage General Electric from 1965 and they are cotton candy pink!!
The current owner Debbie tells me that they are 25-27 inches and she has the original manual to go with them. From the pictures they appear to be super clean inside.
If only my kitchen had a space for wall ovens :-<

As 2011 comes to a close I'm dreaming of all the good junking to come in the next year. Is that you too? Dreams of mega scores and holy grails?
Perched on my fridge already is a copy of the 2012 "Dreaming of Junking" calendar by my friend Sue over at Vintage Resque Squad.
What's so fab about this calendar is that each month contains the dates of most major US flea markets and antique shows as well as many local and regional shows. You will never have to miss another flea market due to poor plannning :->
Sue also called upon her junking friends to provide some totally awesome pictures of favorite finds to keep you permanently in that junking mood.

I have dug into my extensive vintage sewing pattern collection and come up with a new twist for my tote bags.
The pattern images marry so well with vintage feedsacks and vintage tablecloth fabrics :->
I've got several of these ready to go and they are in my etsy shop right now.
The craft show in Williamsburg was too much fun :->
We met some special people (I'll talk about that later) and had a really enjoyable 2 days.
Our kitschy vintage crafts were well received and our bins were much lighter coming home.
Beth and I had a great time together and we will definitely be going back again next year.
I've got to run off to my Big Girl job today, but when I get back I will be putting lots of leftovers into my etsy shop. Totes and xmas items.
