I don't know if this has been posted anywhere BUT her dA (and probably Yen+), BUT THERE'S A CONTEST BE GOING ON.

The contest entries: fanart for "Nightschool: The Weirn Books" in any media you like (so not just drawn art, because I know some people do sculpture and plushies and such! Totally accepted, just please take a clear photo of them to send in~)

Winners get: their entries published in the second volume of Nightschool and a free signed copy of the book! (...Hopefully it'll be a very advance copy.. Depending on when we get them in :3)

Deadline is: June 15th!

Who can enter: the legal people told us there are no limitations, hooray! But if you are under 18, you will need to have you parent sign the art release form. (And if you are over 18, you can sign that yourself. Of-age-ness FTW, haha!)

A: Volume 1 of Nightschool is probably your best bet, you should be able to find it in your local bookstore! For those of you strapped for cash--you can always check out your local library (if they don't have it yet, they will be able to order it).

Also, you've probably heard us blamb about it before, but go pick up a copy of Flight 5! ...or just read it in the store, as it's like 200 pages, costs $15 and you're probably only there for the story by Svet. XD Anyways, it's called "On the Importance of Space Travel".

Hahahaha... sorry, German needs to be exercised.
So, as the title states, WELCOME NEW PEOPLE!!!!
If Purity's computer wasn't down currently, and a lot of other things partaking in her life she'd be alongside me welcoming all our newest members! So in her absence I am doing it.

As far as Svet-related news is going... well, not much, other than the drawing competition for the Dramacon Ultimate Edition ended yesterday. So you can look for the Dramacon Ultimate Edition hitting your local bookstore later this year. Talks have deliberated whether the release was in August and others saying it was October. All we can say is, trust Amazon XD
Although Tokyopop has stated in the contest description that it was to be out in August. Your guess is as good as ours.
Also... for the upcoming con-sitings of Svet will be the Comic-Con International in sunny San Diego. As we've stated before, if you are going to be in attendance, please contact Purity and/or I about your experience. This way we could brief the Svet Fans group about what went on and what not.

So... I believe this would be a good time to say, Artemis Fowl has currently hacked my brain and is demanding I finish reading the series.

Yes, everyone, we're still trying to tie in our fanbases together. We understand that there is a Japanese manga for the saga, however, Yen Press, the same publisher that has rights to our beloved Svet's NightSchool, is also going to be reproducing, or... something or other with the legendary Twilight saga by the amazing Stephenie Meyer.

I was trying to post an update instead of an almost week later, but no matter, I've come to you bearing an update! Yen Press has updated their page of NightSchool and has a listing of the 1st 3 volumes of NightSchool. Please remember this particular work will not be out till next April ( :: cough :: my birthday ;3 ). This listing also includes the ISBN numbers of the volumes so you can look them up and probably pre-order them.

I've also been meaning to make another OTP ( "original true pair," for the few of you who forget things... >> Rue... :: cough :: ) from The Host. Or, if I wanted and OTP3 ^^"

ANYWAY!!! HELLO, ALL SVET-FANS-SOON-TO-BE-CROSS-FANDOMIZED-AS-TWILIGHTERS!!!

Or... at least Stephenie Meyer fans XD
Um... what my cohort and I were discussing this fast-paced past week was the release, and our finishing of reading The Host by Stephenie Meyer, which no less debuted at no.1 on New York Best Sellers List (( currently she still has 3 books on the Top 10 list, Go, Stephenie!!! ))

ANYWAY...
I'm... going to rant a little about what happened last Tuesday (May 13th)
I actually got to meet her in person, Stephenie Meyer, and let me tell you, she is an honest to goodness human being, and she doesn't let her fame go to her head. She is wholesome and encouraging for up-and-coming authors, such as myself, and she values the belief in one's own work rather than changing it to fit someone else's fancy. She gave many helpful tips about writing, and I took every word to heart. I also look forward to the Breaking Dawn Midnight Release Party at Changing Hands over in Tempe, Arizona. Suspicions are that she will most likely attend ^^ and these suspicions were also brought about by the lovable staff of CHB.

As for other news... Svet as I know it, is still planning on attending Comic-Con Inter in San Diego this coming July, however, I will most likely not be attendance for lack of funds, and the sake of SeaWorld, San Diego Zoo... Wild Animal Park... I think you get the idea. If you are planning on attending the Comic-Con Inter, please share with us your experiences!

Since... my eyes are drooping from playing 6 hours of my new The Dog Island game for the Nintendo Wii I am going to draw this post to a close with a humble and yet subtle good night.

Ah... So, I've just... finally pulled my self out of my Stephenie Meyer daze. Unfortunately, there has been no news of NightSchool.... as of yet. >>; I think. Maybe. -checks live journal/amazon-....and... nothing. SORRY GUYS. Anyways, other than that... I'm back onto my Stephenie Meyer kick, and to re-read The Host because I just BLAZED thought it two days ago. XD I had a slow start, then finished it in less than 12 hours. Go me. xD

I hope Catherine Hardwike decides to turn The Host into a movie too....... *hopes/prays*
