this Truman Capote book is incredible. sort of like a Terry Southern book but more eloquent and more vicious because he references real people. it's full of hustlers and writers and artists and junkies and millionaires and demi-monde and haute-monde characters in multiple continents. it's full of secrets really. only 3 chapters were completed, it makes you crazy! i want to shake the book so that more words come out. the other books are by Joris-Karl Huysman [1848-1907. i was reading The Beautiful Fall, it's a long story but i found this author through that book. here is the write-up from the back of Against Nature... "As Joris-Karl Huysman predicted in 1884, Against Nature [A Rebours] was fated to be a novel like no other. i think there is a typo at the bottom of the article. she didn't used to "do artist and earn money when i do". she has written a book about her time with Bob Dylan back in NY on the Lower East Side. i'm waiting for it from the library. i am a library girl.

Vaguely classic, the black pair from the front with brogues. I find it funny how easily these read masculine or pretty feminine.

Made from thrifted recycled leather and stretchy elastic. Anchored flatteringly with leather at the front & back. Topped off with a silver metal swan bead. And a clip for your socks in front. Keep those socks up!
