One of my friends isn't in the greatest position. She works from home but needs to pay a babysitter during those hours to watch her youngest children. Being a single mom, she doesn't have a great deal of income and has found herself in a few iffy situations recently. She decided to do one of those car title loans Louisiana and it's helped her get through a couple of them. It's a good thing she can find a way to fall back on something when things get really bad.

My friend was away on business in CO when she had a bout with some sort of illness. Some of her family flew out because she ended up hospitalized and I'm sure it was incredibly scary. It was a good thing that they run the blood test in Denver CO so quickly. They figured out what was wrong with her and she was treated and back home in no time.

DD loves her movies and I had thought that I was doing a great job of keeping things organized until she figured out how to open the DVD cases. Of course she ended up snapping a few and I ended up paying double when I replaced them. So I decided to be a little more clever and get some proper dvd storage. Since then, she's scratched a few but at least nothing has been broken again.

My nesting instincts are starting to kick in and boy, the money I could be spending lol. I've been trying not to do too much damage, yet, but eventually I will have to get the supplies we need for the new little one. As excited as I am, it's hard to find things that I really like because boy things aren't nearly as cute as the things for girls. Hopefully we can get this kid outfitted in a way that's not entirely difficult lol.

It's interesting...back home there was a city ordinance that every homeowner had to follow regarding home plaques. Every house number had to be lit and big enough to read from the street. Of course this didn't settle well with a bunch of people, who said that it would ruin the look of their house. I think it was a really good idea though. Out here you can hardly see house numbers and often don't even know what street you are on because they change and the houses don't stop where the street does. It's incredibly confusing lol.

It's pretty interesting to see toys come and go through the cycle of childhood. When I was young I went through a long phase with yoyos and trying to master a bunch of tricks. My son did the same thing and now his sister is trying to pick it up too. She's still quite small and doesn't have it anywhere close yet, but it's a neat thing to see her try to do. Hopefully she'll get it down one day.

I had always wanted to learn to play the piano since I was young. It's not so easy to pick up now that I'm older, but it is still on my mind. I've considered getting something slightly more portable and thought it might be an idea to check out Suzuki Keyboards. I would love for my kids to be able to play something as well, so it may be a fun family experience too. I think it might be a good idea to choose something that also comes with volume control lol!

Dating can often be a task, especially when you have children. You want to be sure that the person you choose is trustworthy and that there aren't any things from the past to worry about. As time goes on, something this simple can turn out to be worrisome as a female. I used to say that the person I next chose would have to go through background checks LOL! I was only half joking. Things have changed and not even finding a suitable spouse can come without some investigating sometimes. It's a good idea to be careful if you have any suspicions.

When DS was younger he was obsessed with Power Rangers and one of the things he aspired to do was play the flute like one of the characters. So, when he was old enough, he decided that it was the best instrument to take a shot at. It was really fun to go to all of his concerts over the years. One of the things I was amused with was watching all of the little guys toting around their gear and Gard Gig Bags. It was funny to see some of them carrying cases that were almost as large as they were. I really miss those days but with 3 more kids to go, I'm sure that won't be the last of them.

It was a pretty crazy weekend out here. Reportedly, about 100 tornadoes ripped through the plains states, one of which, I'm in. It was pretty scary because the closest to hit was roughly 45 minutes to an hour away from us. Luckily nothing too exciting happened here but the winds were pretty bad that came through, pushing through a decent dose of thunderstorms and rain. I'm really hoping that we don't have to worry too much, but you never know.

Who would have thought I’d fall so hard for a zombie show? I actually hate scary movies and things like that but I have to tell you that I was absolutely OBSESSED with The Walking Deadthis past season. I love that it’s so realistic and it makes me think about what things would be like if zombies were to take over the world and we had to all fend for ourselves. My mom is the one who told me about it in the first place because she’s from Atlanta and that’s where some of the show is set and she really gets a kick out of that. I kept reading about it, too, on all my entertainment blogs so I broke down and went to online and got the whole NFL Sunday Ticket with Direct tv and got AMC so I could catch up on the old episodes. I try not to spend so much time watching TV but I like appointment stuff that I can really involve myself in and talk to my friends about afterwards!

I just caught up with a friend lately who has some type of degenerative disease. It's pretty sad to see him going through such a hard time, especially when things are really bad. He doesn't let anything stop him despite his body refusing to cooperate, which is one of the things I love most about him. He recently had to have spinal laser surgery to fuse some things together and now he can't move as much, as if he could to begin with. Knowing him, he'll still find ways to accomplish the projects he starts because the man cannot sit still for anything LOL.

So I've been looking for a new job lately. Knowing that a baby is coming is making it slightly difficult because most of the things that are out there right now have to do with phones and teleconferencing, which isn't so easy to do with little ones around. I'm not really sure if I will find anything to replace what I lost and I'm thankful that my husband still has his job, or we would really be in for it. Hopefully I'll find something soon that will at least help out some if I can't get my actual income back.

Something I've never done for each of my kids is to get personalized things for them. I'm not really sure why, but I'm guessing that I always figured pictures and a few of their things was enough. I decided to look into what is offered now, hoping there is something other than bronzed baby shoes, and I found that there is quite a range of personalized keepsakes for baby. It's pretty neat to see the things you can get...and I might have changed my mind too LOL.

When we were deciding on moving into this place, one of the things that I was apprehensive about was the walls. They are almost all cement block and although there are holes pre-drilled with support things in them, there isn't really a way we can hang anything properly. The good thing is that there is hardware installed for blinds and curtains, the bad is that we don't have anything to fit them lol. I thought about getting some cellular blinds so we would have something other than sheets stuck up there but with the baby coming, I'm not sure how much longer we'll be here anyway. We definitely need more room. Hopefully I can get something decent to cover the windows and block out some light though, sheets really aren't all that attractive lol!

New Clothes

My mom sent me out the small selection of maternity clothes that I had saved from when I was last pregnant. The problem is that I'm heavier now than I was then so some things are already running slightly small. Unfortunately those would be pants/jeans and I can't even begin to tell you how hard it was to find something that fit back then. The good news is that I get to go shopping! I love buying clothes, too bad I won't be wearing them for all that long. At least I know I'll be able to update my wardrobe again after I have the baby. Yay for that! lol!

Winter seems to have left us and while it is still rainy back home, the sun is shining and the temps are definitely up here. So far I think the warmest it's gotten was just over 80 degrees, it's crazy having gone from one climate to another. The first time I came out here was just about a year ago and it was so blazing hot that I didn't want to venture out at all. It won't be long before the june bugs come out, which I can't stand. At least the fireflies make up a little bit for that, those are always fun to see.

I don't think that there's anything wrong with giving kids some crafts to do at a party or some coloring pages to keep them occupied. I know that with my boys, if I don't give them something like that then they just go crazy and start running around uncontrollable. It's not really good for anyone involved. I've learned my lesson over the years so just part of my St. Patrick's Day party planning is to come up with something for them to do during the celebration.

Several of my friends' kids will be coming over too for the party, so I'm trying to find some crafts that they'll like too. During my search for some good party crafts I saw the website http://www.debtsettlementfamily.com/ and read through it some. Once I read through it some I decided to use it to help our our financial situation, which is in dire need of help anyway.

I found some girl-friendly crafts too because our friends Nick and Nancy have too little girls that they'll be bringing. Those girls aren't content to play with matchbox cars like our boys.

It's no secret that I've been prone to trying almost every diet pill on the market over the years. Unfortunately I won't be doing that for a while now, considering that I'm pregnant lol. The good part is that I can still keep up with the reviews of the latest products and can pick up right where I left off...Lord knows I'll definitely need it then lol! My friend who does the same was asking me about one I haven't heard before and I started asking myself, how effective and safe is calorie burner 643? So of course I went digging. I came across one of the better review sites I've seen in some time and it's definitely getting bookmarked.

The internet has really come along over the years and computers have done a pretty good job of keeping up. One of the things that is fun is finding new programs to use to make the experience that much better. I found a vlc media player download recently that I think will help with that. I always like having better control over how I use my media and this will definitely help. It looks really simple and that's definitely a plus for me. I can't wait to try it out!

My friend in KY is finally moving and is looking for a new house. She's been looking forward to this for a long time now. For a while they didn't have running water because they were switching from well to city and last year a giant tree fell on one of their cars lol. She has a great sense of humor about it all though. Needless to say, she's been all over the place looking at louisville ky real estate and is compiling all of her choices to go through one by one. It's really exciting and I can't wait to see what they end up choosing.

We got married last Tuesday and I still don't think it's quite set in that we are yet lol! I'm very happy thought and it probably couldn't have been much better than it was. It was super small at the courthouse, nothing fancy, we pulled the girls out of school and they were extremely excited to be there too. It was a really nice day and the best part is that I got to have two more days with him home that week. I'm really looking forward to the coming years and having the right person next to me all the while :)

I recently got satellite TV at my house because I found a good deal online when I searched “direct tv rochester”. I started to explore different channels and found myself watching MTV one night. MTV is totally different than it used to be. I can remember coming home from school when I was in high school and watching the top 10 video countdown with Carson Daly. I loved watching music videos, and MTV and VH1 always showed music videos. Now it seems like all there is to watch on MTV is trashy reality shows. I do not enjoy watching them, and I think it is sad that music videos have kind of become a thing of the past. I will probably have to explain to my children one day what a music video is. I guess people probably do not care much about music videos anymore because they listen to the music with ipods and MP3 players. Technology has come a long way in the past 10 years. I guess that is just the world we are living in.

We've been tossing around getting a pet for the kids lately. Well, it would have to be two because the girls really just cannot share. There are a lot of things to weigh out when making this kind of decision, mostly what we will do when we have to travel, not to mention what kind of pets to get. I'm partial to smaller animals just because they are a little easier to deal with, but they aren't quite kid-friendly unless it was a rabbit. We do love rabbits but we would have to worry about making the house safe for it to go around. We would need to cover everything in a cable protector because we have so many loose wires and cords, we would have to be able to put everything on the floor away, and so on and so on. I'm not sure if it's really a great idea right now, but maybe once we figure things out we can make a solid decision.
