Our glamorous and part-nomadic lil family tribe went all the way to the other side of this planet for some amazing gigs ( and squeezed some beautiful xmas holidays in the middle).

If being a parent is the most intense thing in the world but absolutely the most amazing,

travelling with a kid is all that

times 10000000000.

24 hours flying aint no joke

but lil wonton is big in the *world travelling game* so he slept and watched movies for most part of the trip. We had an hour stopover in Bangkok and another loads of hours later we landed in Sydney.

We spent the first night in the city wandering like jet lagged zombies munching japanese and korean food, leaving my handbag with all our passports and loads of cash in a cab ( was returned )
and the next day we moved to Palm Beach.
A friend of ours told us she knew someone that would let us stay in his "nice place by the beach". When we arrived we had no idea how "NICE" she meant.
This incredible massive house right by the ocean belongs to 2 super cool movie producers.
One of them is David Elfick, whose very first big work was directing "Morning of the Earth".
He is one of the coolest and inspiring people we've ever met.

The ocean, the clean air, the animals and the incredibly fresh food was what i absolutely adored about this place.

We spent a week there feeling in Paradise.

So after this bliss break, Ebow had to leave us for 3 days, cause he had 2 gigs in New Zealand and 1 in Perth. Me & Cassius moved to Bondi Beach, where we had a super pretty beach apartment to ourselves. At first I was a bit nervous about being somewhere i never been before, and so far away..but these couple days I spent alone with Cassius out there, have been so special , they are already some of the most precious memories I have.

There is nothing as exciting and romantic
as being "lost" somewhere with your child.
On NYE, I took my lil boy shopping. we strolled around surrounded by hyped ozzie strangers coming out the stores with massive packs of booze and champagne , took a walk by the beach and checked the stage they had built for that night concert, then went home and made some really nice organic burgers. Cassius was asleep by 10..so while Ebow was on a stage counting down the seconds to 2012 in front of 20k people, I was sitting on a couch below the Equator Line watching a BBC documentary about oil rigs engineering - thinking how crazy life is, and how much I love it.

Last gig of this Foreign Beggars Aus mini tour was at the Sydney Field Day Festival
We couldnt wait to party with the crew, and of course once again Cassius was the only kid in the whole festival haha. We take him with us sometimes, but only when we know we'll have a safe and not too loud nice backstage. He was so happy to be there, and hyped from everyone saying how he was the coolest kid they'd ever seen (zzz)..so he got suuuuuuuuper hyped and
RAN ON STAGE WHILE FB WERE PERFORMING
and of course the last thing the crowd expected to see what a baby with a hi-top dressed in leather jumping on stage , so they went MENTAL.
This was the first time our son experienced what it feels like being on stage, feeling like the absolute center of the universe, praised by thousands of wasted people.
The scary thing is..he LOVED IT so much,
he cried the whole day cause he wanted to go back on again.

then it was my turn to get some work done
so i flew to Melbourne and DJed at The Croft

missed the boys loads but
was nice to get some time
to myself

We had the best time and met some truly nice people.
Much love to Alicia, Jack, Jeremy, David, Claire, Lukas, Jeff, Mark, Rebecca , Laura, Tanya and her boyfriend, Jules Inkswel, Tony Tony Lee, and everyone else that contributed to make this trip so beautiful.

Our little wonton turned 2 .
I had never baked a single cupcake before but this time I wanted to make something really special...
so I shopped, baked and cooked 48 hours non stop and luckily enough everything came out lovely.
Party was just perfect, soooo many people came and had loads of fun with Cassius, even if he had no idea it was his birthday or what a birthday is anyway..but he definitely enjoyed the fun and the wine he was sipping off people's cups
when no one was watching
