It’s cold already here. Today was an outdoor concert and I thought my fingers might freeze off before we managed to finish. Thankfully it was a short concert. The leaves are changing, and so are many aspects of life in this crazy little family. Home from Montana. Wow, what a great vacation! We did a ton of stuff and relaxed too. Glacier Park is as awesome as I remember, but to be honest the best part of the vacation was what happened when I opened the car door upon arriving at our cabin. I was assaulted with all the smells I had forgotten exist in that part of the forest, and hadn’t smelled for at least 15 years. Microfantasy Monday – Week 92 Theme

This week, I am away. Far, FAR away. I am in a place where there is seriously limited cell service and not much in the way of internet, either. This is ooookay with me! My graduation present from my sister was a week at our family’s cabin in Montana, just outside Glacier Park, so I’m going to take some time to enjoy the scenery, hike a lot, fish a little, and more or less just relax and enjoy myself.

This week, I won’t be able to approve comments until next weekend when I’m back (or if I can find wifi with my cellphone) so I’m voting to take a week off and, again, write about whatever your little heart desires. Or, if you so choose, you can get started on next week. I’ll give you a sneak peek – the theme is going to have something to do with nature again. Just a specific kind of nature.

Her muscles were as tense as tense could be as she strained to maintain her balance on her toes with her arms splayed skyward, fingertips barely brushing the beams above her head. Her calves screamed and her head ached from the tension on the rope wound through her hair like a sadistic serpent, pulling tighter and tighter.

And then the rope was undone. She was allowed to collapse into His arms. And the relief came in waves of sobs and sighs.
