Swiss Rockband Hathors live at the CMJ Music Marathon in New York

HATHORS will play next week at the CMJ Music Marathon in New York and also in Harlem on 18th October 2011. The Swiss Rockband has just launched their first video clip of their radio single KEEPING SECRET, taken from the debut album.

RAYA - A touch of Mediterranean at Clanx Festival

RAYA is a very energetic and warm Metal Crossover band from Ticino (CH).

Their music accompanied by English / Spanish lyrics is great to listen to and on stage especially Lore (Vocals) is not to be missed. She's a very charismatic singer and full of adrenaline even at 10am as she clearly showed at the 8th Clanx Festival in Appenzell (CH) this year.

The band performed Ecuchate, Sexy Bomb, Nalgas, Pigsty, Siguen, Biko, Por La Gente, Wars and Bandidos to a crowd of about 1000 sleepy fans some of which were still hangover from the night before. And yet RAYA's performance managed to wake them all up and injected their bodies with a metal transfusion!

The foursome Lore (Vocals) Seba (Guitar & Vocals) Matt (Drums) Lomba (Bass) are still in studio recording their new album, we certainly look forward to listening to their new material very soon and hope to see an official video preview of their work on Swiss Rock TV!

Mephistosystem @ Abart - Zurich

The Swiss industrial rock band Mephistosystem performed at the Abart last night. An energetic performance despite a cramped and small stage at the Abart. An unusually cluttered space on stage due to the main act that followed: Filter, which is now on tour (read more on RockLabel.TV, here).

Maxxwell at Metalvetia review

Herisau, 12.3.2011, bad toro. Maxxwell gave a great performance for an intimate gathering at the Metalvetia club in Herisau . It was great to see Nobi (vocals) engaging with the audience and I must admit he has quite a presence on stage, very interactive and visually addictive. Hef (guitars) gave the public an awesome solo performance, a real treat for rock lovers, that's how in my opinion a rock gig should really be about. Maxxwell's stage awareness was at its highest degree, and so it should be. They gave out a lot in terms of music and energy and they did not forget to stick out their tongues and horn up for the cameras!

Zorrn comeback at Metalvetia

Zorrn a Swiss metal band have done a great comeback at the Metalvetia in Herisau.

The band has been around since at least 1997 but after few setbacks and an artistic break they now seem to be back and ready to share their music with the world once again.

Zorrn's live gig was exquisite and thoroughly enjoyable the sound was great and their lively performance on stage won the whole audience over.

Steve Lee died in a tragic accident

Tragic accident costs the life of Steve Lee. The 47-year-old frontman of the Swiss rock band Gotthard is dead. He died on Wednesday in a serious car accident near Las Vegas. Band member Marc Lynn, Steve Lee and his partner Brigitte Voss Balzerini were traveling with a tour group on motorcycles in the U.S. state of Nevada.

During a stop on the highway, a truck-trailer has collected some of the parked motorcycles. One of them hit the singer and wounding him fatally. Riding on a 'Harley' and enjoying the American-Spirit was a big dream of him.

Seeking bands for compilation

For part 7 of the HEAVY METAL NATION series, Quam Libet Records are welcoming hard’n’heavy bands.

With this CD and a series of concerts, Quam Libet Records and Peak Level Productions support the „Shares for Bears“ trust which, in co-operation with the animal rights association Vier Pfoten (‘four paws’) furthers the liberation and fosterage of bears in captivity.

W:O:A Swiss Metal-Battle Champion 2010

Après plus de 80 candidatures, des éliminatoires et des demi-finales de très grande qualité, le niveau de la finale du "W:O:A - Swiss Metal Battle 2010" a été des plus relevés!

Dans le Pont Rouge montheysan, la bataille a été brûlante entre November7 (Neuchâtel), Arkhan (Lausanne) et Hathors (Winterthur). Au finish, la performance très énervée de Hathors l'a emporté d'un cheveu - long - car, même si la décision fut prise à l'unanimité, force fut de constater que le grand talent d'Arkhan et sa maîtrise scénique lui laisse entrevoir un bel avenir! Il en est de même pour November7.

We have the winner 2010 already, check out the interviews and watch the bands on stage. This contest show the wide range and the quality of the Swiss Rock and Metal music. International release of Slag in Cullet on Headroom Records

After a lot of gigs in Swiss Clubs, Slag in Cullet began to attract the attention of the music industry in Germany and England. The UK label Headroom Records flew to Switzerland to meet the band and watch them play live in May 2009. The deal was signed at 3 o'clock the following morning in the hotel bar. Swiss Rock TV meet the band for an interview at the Gaswerk in Winterthur and sign the broadcast agreement for the video of 'Rubber Heart' from the album 'Time To Explore' with Headroom Records.

Legenda Aurea wins the Battle of Metal at Z7 in Pratteln.
The varied music offering a positive surprise, especially because the quality of most bands is worth listening to. the Swiss rock bands Legenda Aurea, Appearance of Nothing, Pregnancy, Angry bastard, Confector and Cyanides have played for a gig at the Metalfest in Z7. The winner is Legenda Aurea, with its progressive metal, and the angelic voice of Simone, the frontwoman of the band.
