<p>I love my smart phone, the internet, e-mail, texting, surfing and social networking; living the grand connected life. I don’t love thinking about cyber crime and I certainly don’t think about cyber crime prevention as I gallivant around in cyberspace. It’s kinda like fire safety, road safety and first aid, you should review it every once but you don’t.</p>
<p>Lumension worked with Switch Video to make this cyber crime prevention video. What a great way to use animated video. List off some keys tips, adding compelling illustrations and sound effects. It’s like a PSA come alive.</p>
<p>Lumension’s video, in the Switch Digital Whiteboard style, stars a USP key superhero, the video is a quick reminder of what we all should already know. It brings the basics to top of mind.</p>
<p>Advice that comes delivered by a whiteboard style video is never boring and beats a pamphlet or PSA any day. What advice would you like to see in animated video form?</p>

<p>Video alone already has a big advantage over plain text &#8211; we know, for instance, that viewers retain 58% more of what they see versus what they read. Animated video adds another layer of sensory information to your viewer’s experience. When the action onscreen reinforces what the audio is saying (versus, let’s say, video of the speaker standing on a stage), this helps you tap into the brain science behind what makes videos so memorable.</p>

There is the perception that everything important is there, around the corner, at your fingertips. Some rural areas provide these same things, just on a smaller scale. There is opportunity for business and personal growth in rural areas. We are all connected and business can be done from anywhere these days.</p>
<p>Switch Video, an animated explainer video production company operates in a rural Ontario setting. The business has grown from 1 to a staff of 25 in 3 years. It is located in a fibre connected office in a beautiful small town and it deals with clients from around the globe.</p>

<p>Goat jokes abound here at Switch right now. No one is “bleating around the bush” about anything. This video is great.  It stars Archie the goat, <a href="http://www.oxfam.org.uk/shop/oxfam-unwrapped">Oxfam Unwrapped</a> UK&#8217;s official spokesgoat.  Archie’s a charmer and so is the video. It lets consumers in the UK learn exactly how to purchase gifts that work to end poverty in the world’s most needy countries.   </p>

We held the contest because we wanted to work with a couple of clients who were committed to testing the conversion rates of animated videos on landing pages. We will work with both winners to produce a video, support them on split testing and help them increase their conversion rates.</p>

Relevvant boosts brand marketers’ effectiveness of mobile marketing by leveraging deep social data. It is a tricky offering and they felt that a visual representation of their proposition would benefit their viewers.</p>
<p><strong>What does ClearFit do?</strong><br />
ClearFit is the only online solution that makes it easy for anyone to find and hire the best person. They distribute content to thousands of businesses in all industries, so having Switch Video monitor conversion rates for customers in each industry is a daunting task.</p>
<p>Recently, we completed a case study with <a href="http://www.rypple.com">Rypple</a>, an online program that contains tools to help with performance coaching in order for teams to achieve their goals faster. Placing a Switch animated explanatory video on the Rypple landing page increased conversions and lowered the customer acquisition cost.  Conversions at Rypple were 20% higher on the landing page with an animated explainer video versus no video.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I decided three weeks ago that it was a good idea to move to San Francisco. I had only been here twice, both in the last two months and it felt like the right move. There were a lot of rational reasons for me to be here, but really it just felt right.</p>
<p>I think I make my best decisions when I don’t over think them. Inertia is the hardest thing to build and so when it tells me to move in a certain direction, then I go in that direction.</p>
<p>After 10 days in San Francisco, I know I made the right move. The opportunity is incredible here because people believe that anything is possible. In San Francisco, my ideas are too small, I move too slowly and I should have done it yesterday.</p>
<p>This is exactly where I need to be&#8230; in a place where I can’t work hard enough, can’t dream big enough and can’t possibly keep up with my peers.</p>

The tool then predicts and shows where on the page the viewer’s glance will travel and suggests modifications to the page based on a database of test cases. Cool eh?
