Martell Pure Gourmet Plates

We do simple jobs like this once in a while. This time around, we painted plates for a Martell Pure Gourmet event. The theme is food and we get to play with ceramic paint!

This is the plates that we painted, they are all ingredients for cooking and done in a contemporary style.

All of us is hard at work painting the plates. It is fun lining all the designs.

Kronenbourg French Art Festival - Love

Our last adventure took place in Ecoba, the boisterous pub.

By this time, both of us were getting used to painting live and pacing our painting duration. Can’t do it too fast, nor too slow. Ecoba is very different from the The Hill and Library, it is so packed and noisy. It was actually thanks to an event that was held there an hour or two ago before we arrived. Good timing eh?

Both of us painting at 10 pm. We were both slightly tired from waking up early for meeting. Phew. We are lucky that we just have to finish 20% of the painting.

Every night, customers who bought the beer are entitled to join the doodling contest. We were the judges for the one at Library but for the other venues, they actually changed judges. Oh well, looks like we won’t be getting our hands on the Louis Vuitton RM 2000 voucher FOL.com

This is also the only painting that incorporates the main colours of the Kronenbourg identity design. The theme of the painting is Love, must have romance ma. We were expecting a late night when we see the overwhelming crowd but luckily for us, Ecoba closes at 1 am and we get to end our day right there and then.

It looks good but we wish that we had added texture paste to the acrylic paint to make it more impasto like. Then again, it would dry slower. Anyway, thank you for reading

Kronenbourg French Art Festival - Food

This is second painting for Kronenbourg, which was done at The Hills. We did two rounds of painting this time, as requested by the venue. This is the first day where we showed up and painted for half an hour. Vinn painted all the cakes while Haze worked on Marie's face features.

We are now very comfortable with our pro setup. Hehe, it consists of the acrylic signage which holds our brochures and namecards, it sits on a furry cloth. Sometimes we put some decorations on it. We have a mini chair for iPad to rest on and a bird cage to take up more space.

Guests who bought kronenbourg gets to participate in a doodling competition. They could win a RM 2000 voucher from Louis Vuitton. Sometimes we wish we're the guests instead of the artists.

This is the final result of the painting. Looks good and we like it. It will be displayed on one of the walls in The Hill, our pleasure :) Like our facebook page pls.

Kronenbourg French Art Festival - Performance

Our recent project took us to a few pubs in Klang Valley, the first one being Library at The Curve. Haze was developing our company's website then and couldn't prepare for the event, so Vinn kindly prepared 80% of the painting for that day.

Kronenbourg French Film & Art Festival event at Library, The Curve on 18th May 2011:

The subject and concept of the painting is centered on the French's performances. Mainly Mime artist.

To our surprise, we saw a real mime artist at the event. We looked at each other thinking the same thing, "Did they just take our concept from our painting and made it real for the event?" And then we were wondering if they will be bringing a naked lady for the next one, cuz that's the concept. LOL

Haze was painting t-shirt for Icepeak solutions, an events company is there to emcee the night away. They asked questions and those who got the correct answers get a free painted t-shirt. There was also a nice band that night, we were given free Kronenbourg beer and since Vinn over-painted too much before the event, we had to chill or else the painting will be completed too fast. Brewed

The second part of the Carlsberg wall was a piece that merge both abstract and fine art together. It was completed in 3 days.

The colors were flat but it require an amount of skill to get the brush strokes right to show the depth of what we are trying to portray.

Complemented by beer swirls in the background, this painting depicts the original brewery in Copenhagen and they actually use a horse plus cart to deliver Carlsberg beers there.
