The synopsis for the sequel tells how Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone), Lee Christmas (Lee Statham), Yin Yang (Jet Li), Gunnar Jensen (Dolph Lundgren), Toll Road (Randy Couture) and Hale Caesar (Terry Crews) – with newest members Billy the Kid (Liam Hemsworth) and Maggie (Yu Nan) aboard – are reunited when Mr. Church (Bruce Willis) enlists the Expendables to take on a seemingly simple job. The task looks like an easy paycheck for Barney and his band of old-school mercenaries. But when things go wrong and one of their own is viciously killed, the Expendables are compelled to seek revenge in hostile territory where the odds are stacked against them. Hell-bent on payback, the crew cuts a swath of destruction through opposing forces, wreaking havoc and shutting down an unexpected threat in the nick of time – six pounds of weapons-grade plutonium; enough to change the balance of power in the world. But that’s nothing compared to the justice they serve against the villainous adversary who savagely murdered their brother. That is done the Expendables way….

The Klitschko brothers are working with the producers on the boxing elements of the musical, but Stallone said he would also be taking a hands-on approach: “I’ve always thought Rocky had the right stuff for a musical and have wanted to do it for a long time,” said the actor.

Rocky  tells the rags-to-riches ‘American dream’ story of Rocky Balboa, a club fighter who gets a shot at the world heavyweight championship when the scheduled contender is injured. “I imagine I will be able to help the future star of the show to learn the body language of Rocky, and to develop a feeling for the character,” said Stallone. “Boxers are always tense, always moving around, and each one has his own characteristics.”

The first pen made available in the series will be called Chaos. With its detailed representations of reptiles and skulls, the pens imagery depicts life and death. This pen’s finish has been handcrafted by skilled artisans.

The pen’s body is made of black pearlized celluloid set in solid 18 karat gold and silver. Only 1912 such models are being made. One thousand of the items will be fountain pens and 912 will be roller balls in silver.

There will also be 100 fountain pens and 100 roller ball pens crafted in solid 18k gold, while 10 fountain pens and another 10 roller balls will be made in 18k solid gold and encrusted with precious stones.

Movie website comingsoon.net has posted a series of images from the set of The Expendables 2. With the ensemble action sequel shooting in Bulgaria, photos of Sylvester Stallone, Terry Crews, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Bruce Willis and others have begun to surface online. The Expendables 2 is set for an August 17, 2012 release.

Indiewire website The Playlist has posted an interview with James Mangold about his 1997 film Cop Land, which starred Sylvester Stallone and arrived on Blu-ray in November. Mangold talks about the Blu-ray release of Cop Land, the film’s unconventional casting choices and the differences between its theatrical cut and the director’s cut available on the new disc. Movie sites like Empire Online and Variety have now picked up the news that Stallone has signed on for forthcoming action outing The Tomb.

The film involves a designer of impregnable prisons having to escape from one of his own maximum security stockades when he’s framed for a crime he didn’t commit. No production date has been set, but we’ll let you know all the news when this project develops.

Charles Napier, the actor who appeared as Murdock, the intelligence officer commanding Rambo in Rambo: First Blood Part II (1985) died October 5, 2011. Napier was a teacher before moving to Hollywood to become an actor. He made his film debut in Russ Meyer’s Cherry, Harry & Raquel! (1970). Napier went on to play roles in several Meyer movies, including the homicidal Harry Sledge in Supervixens (1975).

Napier was a regular in Jonathan Demme-directed movies, including The Silence of the Lambs and Philadelphia. Some of Napier’s memorable roles include Murdock, the intelligence officer commanding Rambo in Rambo: First Blood Part II (1985) and Tucker McElroy, lead singer and driver of the Winnebago for ‘The Good Ol’ Boys’ in The Blues Brothers (1980).

He appeared in two episodes of the 1980s hit TV series The A-Team once as Col. Briggs. He also co-starred in some episodes of The Rockford Files and played Hammer, Greg Evigan’s character’s arch-nemesis, in the short-lived series B. J. and the Bear in the 1970s.

He is well known among Star Trek fans for appearing on both Star Trek: The Original Series episode ‘The Way to Eden’ as musically inclined space hippie Adam, and the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode ‘Little Green Men’ as General Denning. He also appeared in the pilot episode of Knight Rider in 1982.

From 1997 through 2001, he provided the voice for Zed on Men in Black: The Series. He has also provided several guest voices for episodes of The Simpsons. He had a small role during the sixth season of Curb Your Enthusiasm in 2008 as a barber who assaults and drives Larry David from his shop after David offends him.
