These tools will not only allow you to keep it all together but you will also have the ability to schedule your updates and not worry about being a slave to your computer all day.

I’ve been talking to several network marketers, those just starting out and those who are veterans to the game and when asked about what their major concerns are aside from getting leads and recruiting them into their organization; the common answer is, “retention of team members”. Retention in network marketing has become a common issue amongst many and I am going to share a few things you can do to help keep this number HIGH.

Most of the time, a lot of your effort is exerted to recruiting new people and with that being a heavy task, you sometimes forget to check on how the current members of your team are doing. I know you may have a back-office or some type of system that allows you to see how their sales are going, but that’s not the type of checking in they need. They need that personal touch that shows them that you really care about their success and that you are there for them if they need you.

Let me offer some tips for you that will improve your retention rate.

1. Be customer-oriented. Isn’t that what you expect from the services given to you, from your cable service to the restaurant you go to? When you are happy with the service, you are establishing your loyalty to that company. This is true with your team members. They signed up because of you and your service and to your members is equally important to the product or service they are buying. Rate yourself from a scale of 1 to 5 on this and if your score is 3 or below, then do something to make your down-line happy and feel supported. You can do it; a phone call and home meetings are ways to express your concern to your team.

2. Coach the new members. Oh, this can be something that will really need your time but think about it, the rewards and fulfillment will be high when you have empowered somebody to work like you, not forcing your member, but inspiring and motivating them to focus and work hard and smart to get their own business running.

3. Feel what your team needs. You should start to ask about their concerns and be sensitive about what they need. They always have something to say. Listen, emphasize and offer help, assistance or support. Wouldn’t it be better if you think ahead and anticipate their needs? By the time they say it, you already have a solution or better yet, even before they inform you about it, you already have acted to help them. I promise, that will surely be appreciated!

4. Start recording important details about your team members.  Find out when their birthdays and anniversaries are and greet them with a phone call or put a card in the mail when the time comes.  This will be a really big surprise to them and it will show a really nice gesture. Do you think they would like this?  Of course they will. They will value your gesture and will strive to become productive members of your team if they feel your sincerity in the relationship that you have established with them.

5. Be in close coordination with your down-line. With your active participation in what they are doing, you are expressing your full support in their efforts. Host weekly training calls or Webinars, to ensure all of their questions are answered. And guess what?  If you do this, their knowledge will be increased, which in turn will make them feel more empowered and their production levels will increase as well.

Now, is this possible to do all this? Oh, yes, it is. And if you start today, your attrition rate will significantly go down and your bottom line will just continue to grow.

For a long time, I would have receipts everywhere but then my accountant got on me about not keeping good track of them. So, then I started putting them in a zip lock back, this was better but they were not organized by month, type of expense,etc.

So finally, someone told me about Neat Receipt and OH BOY, was I happy about this. This product is so phenomenal! It allows you to scan your receipts and it helps you to organize them and keep track of them right on your computer.

However, as we all know computers have a brain of its own so I tell all of my business buddies to go to box.net and get an account so you can store your important files on here so if your computer ever crashes you will have the files that are important to you and you will have access to them no matter where you go as long as you have internet access.

So, get those receipts together and start scanning!!

Network Marketing Information

Well, if you ask some what is Network Marketing, the answer may be “It’s a pyramid” and those who are involved in network marketing or very familiar with network marketing, know that it is very far from a pyramid. When I think of a pyramid, I think of organizations like Sprint and Best Buy, where there is two or three people sitting on the top making all the money.

So, let me define Network Marketing for you and explain why there are thousands of people involved. Network Marketing was designed by companies as structure or vehicle to help distribute a product or service through distributors who go out and share their products and services with others that ultimately become an organization of hundreds, even thousands, of people who are actively selling or distributing products and services on the company behalf.

Companies chose this type of platform for a few different reasons. One of the main reasons is that it reduces the cost of advertising. You may have heard the saying that “word of mouth” is the best form of advertising for a business. Well, that’s exactly what Network Marketing is a “word of mouth” based business. Everything about Network Marketing is about socializing and spreading the news through all types of communications.

People get involved in network marketing because of the pay structures that most companies layout. The Network Marketing pay structure is designed to pay hundreds, even thousands of dollars to those who go out and build large organizations. The pay structures are also setup so that you can make monthly residual income also known as “money while you sleep”. In addition, the pay plans are designed so that no matter what position the individual is in when you become a part of the company, you have the ability to surpass them. Now of course most people don’t want their new recruit to surpass them, but on many and many occasions this happens. This is where the pyramid myth is dispelled, because in most pyramid business structures the folks on the bottom most likely will stay at the bottom and never make to the very top position.

Even though thousands of people get involved in Network Marketing, trust me when I say, it’s not an easy business to run and it takes people that are willing to be coached and trained to make it in the industry. Many people get involved in this type of business and really don’t understand what their role is and how to be successful. If you are thinking about joining a Network Marketing organization, the first thing you must understand that it is a REAL business and with that in mind, you must also understand the most important piece and that’s “Marketing”.

Upon joining a Network Marketing company you are going to be given a few ways to build your business but the bottom line is; marketing is going to be the only thing that is going to make you successful and help you reach your financial goals. I think it is time to learn some of the Do’s and Don’ts of Facebook. I am so tired of seeing people spamming and being disrespectful to people’s wall. Social Media has become a world of its own and we really need to know how to mange and use it wisely.

So, I have decided to put together a list that will help those who are new to Facebook and those who are veterans and breaking a lot of Facebook etiquette rules.

Facebook launched in February 2004 and is one the largest World Wide Social Media site on the Internet. They have over 300 million users and over half of them visit Facebook daily.

Do’s:
-    When requesting a friend always leave a note especially if the person doesn’t know you personally. This will avoid the question”Who are you?”
-    If you have a business,  only speak of your business on YOUR wall, not others
-    Give value and interesting information on your wall post
-    Go easy on the updates, just enough not too much
-    Use the chat service wisely; just because you see the green dot next to their name indicating they are online does not mean they are automatically available to chat.
-    Choose wisely the type of photos that you share with your friends, I don’t think pictures of you slapping someone one the butt would go over very well, especially if you are looking to business with them or if you are looking for employment
-    Be careful in tagging people in pictures in videos they may be offended. If you do tag someone just make sure it’s extremely positive and remove the tag upon request
-    If you are not happy about being tagged, stay calm, and just un-tag yourself

Don’ts
-    Do not request friends and then harass them with your business or products. Instead build relationships and offer value to them
-    Don’t post your business opportunity or any other type of product/service on other peoples wall
-    Don’t poke anyone if you are over the age 18, it’s just silly…LOL
-    Don’t start arguments with people on Facebook on your wall or on their wall, just sent them a private message expressing your feelings.
-    Don’t comment on someone’s message with an advertisement or business opportunity.
-    Don’t post on your wall in all capital letters because it’s considered shouting or loud tone of voice.
-    Don’t share all of your game scores with everyone all day long each and every day..this is very annoying
-    Don’t get upset over other people’s opinion, just simply state yours and keep it movin’
-    As we all like to receive gifts from our friends and family, the virtual gifts on Facebook can be annoying especially if you are sending them every day.
