Now, Muslims do not have sundays as holy days, instead fridays…
It’s interesting how much pressure Christians lay to sunday while Muslims have much “simpler” handling with their “holy day”.

Found these a year old portraits on hard disk. I figure I was not yet ready to do anything with them back then. Back then I shot all auto iso, aperture priority etc. Which resulted weird exposed shots, I mean technically correct but visually wrong for my eyes. Only recently, beginning with this spring when I have switched to spot metering and manual shooting I have started to see what I would like to with the picture.

Uko on tuletatud nimest Uku – muinaseesti äikesejumala nimi. Veel on tal peremees, kuid varsti enam mitte :)

Name of Uko origns from the ancient estonian god of thunder. As of now he has a master, but not for too long.

Pildistasin vana noorpaari Jutat ja Haimarit.
Minu isiklik põhjus abiellumiseks oli teada saada mis tunne see siis on kui kaks vanaätti kõnnivad mööda tänavat ja on selgelt näha, et neid ühendab aastate…aastakümnete pikkune minevik.

Reason to get married for me was to know how it feels to be old and I have a lifetime of memories with someone close to share. Lifetime gets doubled? And with kids quadrupled?

If you got 2 minutes instead of promised 15min with your subject, would you smile or cry? We had a chance to meet before recording and during the recording while I was filming him and the group. But while doing portraits for publication in record time I sensed how it is impossible to prepare myself to shooting. It all comes down to the moment what happens during the shoot. I was glad to walk away with few keepers.
Meeting with strangers on the streets and asking to do a portrait for them would be good tip to practice what to do on uncertain moments.
