After which, I reflected on what I did. I couldn't come up with a rational explanation to it, even if it's just something made up that I would later on believe to be true. The only thing that I could accept was that I wouldn't get satisfied playing with my would of touching it until I feel pain over it. Just like a typical child who wouldn't stop running around until he gets himself wounded all over.

The topic was about these certain MU Online players who initiated donation drives and/or were encouraging people to donate reliefs and stuff for the victims of Ondoy's quite unfriendly visit to the Philippines. And to my surprise, a lot of players responded to the thread and actually donated reliefs and such. They had this agreement on where to meet each other and go to the locations to give help.

And what's great about it is that this is not the only group doing this. I found a lot of thread like this in different sub-forums, doing the same thing but on different approaches.

There have been a lot of bloggers posting on how to donate to the victims of Ondoy and such, cross-posting from one blog to another. So I guess with all of those, there are enough information on the Web for you to figure out where you could donate to help so I'll spare you guys the posting of info and just limit myself to re-tweeting stuff from twitter, and thought of sharing interesting finds I stumble upon here and there relating to Ondoy and I would call these series, "Bayanihan Ondoy".  So, look forward for more.

1. First, slap yourself and tell your self, "GET A GRIP!"
2. Wipe your tears and smile. Crying won't help! Spend those emotions in helping instead!
3. Open your cupboards and cabinets and pull out all the stuffs you wanted to donate. Put them in containers and start packing. Remember to bring medicines, alcohol, plastic bags, towels, blankets, etc.
4. Go to the nearest church or relief area or other establishments that accept relief goods (e.g. McDonalds, Coffeebean and Tea Leaf, etc.) and bring those. But if you could bring them to the relief areas yourself, the better - it'll be faster that way!

Easiest way to lend a hand (other than bringing relief goods)!

Not all of us are rich, but at least, we could help in the simplest way we could. Even if it's just 100 pesos, that 100 is already big enough to save lives. So please help!

I remembered those days back in my early years in college. When Chette and Philip met Ran-nii, and got them converted to Christianity, there were so much drama going on that things became way too serious that I kinda got annoyed, but decided to simply stepped down. "It was their choice to begin with, they looked happy with it, so let them be." was what was in my thoughts and remained quiet. Freedom of self-expression is the one thing I wanted to grant to people around me, at least.

Several months after that, things started to settle down. Yet, to my surprise, I found Ran-nii (that friend who converted Chette and Philip to Christianity) posting in the Pinoy Atheists group. I got curious and started to wonder why would somebody of that status (religious-wise), post in the group. I simply welcomed him to the group and left him alone since I don't want to get myself involved with their religious drama. And then, several months later, he told me that he officially converted from an Agnostic to an Atheist.

Isn't it ironic?

The taxi I rode this morning is, again, pretty interesting. Like before, I thought of blogging it. I was planning on posing it on Plurk or Twitter, but I thought the conversation was too long. The conversation started when we went pass an under construction road. This is at Makati, around Dasmarinas Village.

Driver: They're fixing the road again. It'll start traffic again.

Euri: Yeah, election is near.

Driver: Our politicians are like that. It's all money.

Euri: By the way, who're you gonna vote for the presidential election?

Driver: I don't like Noynoy. History will only repeat itself like in her mother's time. I still remember that incident. I even tied cans at my jeepney to support EDSA revolution. I was still a jeepney driver back then, in San Juan. Then what happened, she let those rich businessmen that were caught by Marcos out. Chinese people started to come and open business everywhere in the country. They manufacture drugs and other illegal stuffs. See? The rich people in our country are all Chinese! That's why we, Filipinos are poor. Fuck those Chinese people! They're so many! (I don't think, he realizes that I'm also a Chinese. It's what makes it funny, so I let him continue his ranting.) Then Noynoy will be like her mother. People under him will just used him. When Cory became president, all his subordinates robs here and there. That's why we get poorer and poorer. Then Erap and Fernando Poe are stupid. They got swayed and run for presidency. You saw what happened to them. They ask them not to run because they will only ruin their name, no, they had to run. Then what happened to Fernando Poe? He died. Then this Manny Villar. You think he's all clean? He has a lot of properties in the provinces. He got them from years of service. He's just running to protect his assets that he stole. (And he started naming politicians, I can't remember anymore, one after the other, and continue to rant about them.)

Euri: Oh, really? I think I won't be voting this year. How about you?

Driver: I don't think I would vote this year too. I only like this one politician that I think is clean. It's Mar Roxas. But then, he gave way for Noynoy.

Euri: Oh, yeah, right. He did stepped down.

Driver: Yeah. It's a waste. He's the only one I liked.

Euri: Oh, mister, I'll get down here. Here's my payment.

Driver: Ah, I don't have a change. I just got out.

Most of you probably already heard about Tara Santelices (especially those who are a part of the underground scene), the guitarist of  Saffron Speedway, the girl who was robbed, shot to head, went on a comma for several months and finally died, recently. Now, her family is organizing a benefit event in her honor. It's called Music, Friendship and Love - A Benefit Concert, describing Tara's personality. It will be held at Meralco Theater, Ortigas Center, Pasig City on October 4, 2009 (Sunday) 7:00 PM. One of them got his head ripped off. The other one, it's wings. The last one was left alive, but all bloody and near death while having wounded wings. I was told that it's because of the rats. The rats in that apartment where we moved in are really huge. They're almost around the size of regular street cats. It's a good thing that they only come out during the night. Still, it's pretty scary because you'll never know when the rat will come out and bite you while you sleep. There may be a chance that you'll wake up with your arms or legs half eaten. You'll probably die of Rabies, too, later.

I'm depressed. I've been depressed since I heard the news. I thought of making a tribute, whatever tribute I could make for Jasmine You. I wasn't able to make one for hide and Kami when they died, but I thought I would make one this time.

On another news, there would be a Memorial and Virgil for Jasmine You in Los Angeles, USA. If you live in L.A., please find some time to go. There are a lot of fans who would want to go and give a peace of their love for Jasmine You one last time, so if you are able to go, please do.

Memorial and Vigil for Jasmine You in Los Angeles

In memory of Jasmine You, we will be holding a special memorial vigil on August 22nd, 7-9pm, at the north east corner of Weller court (Los Angeles and 1st street).

We will be setting up a portrait of Jasmine You surrounded by roses and feathers, with candles to light in his memory.

If fans have any letters, notes, fan art and other gifts, either for the band in condolences, or things in memory of Jasmine, we will be collecting that to send to Japan. We will be collecting mementos to make a part of a banner which everyone will also be able to sign.

At this event we will be taking pictures and recording video to also send to Japan. We ask that you dress elegantly in a style that respects Jasmine You. And to please come up with words of encouragement to send to the band, and to Jasmine's family, so that we can collect video comments.

I've actually tested this first before I'm sharing it to everyone and seems to be working just fine (at least, on my end). The only thing there, is that it doesn't seem to convert the pages. It only converts the entries and the comments in each entry, but the pages are nowhere to be found.

So I was scheduled to go back to the doctor this afternoon. And I got a new batch of prescription from her. This time, my medications are scheduled. For example tonight, I have to take 5 tablets, tomorrow morning, after breakfast, I need to take 5, 2 after lunch and 2 after dinner. Then the next day is the same amount of medicines, and on the next day after that, it's 5-2-1, and so on... She also changed one of the other lotion-based medicine she gave me. So all in all, I'll be taking 2 types of medicine tablets now and apply 2 solutions 5-10 times a day, at the same time.

What a troublesome disease this is. *facepalm*
