The Quran, Chapter Al-Ahzaab 33/59:

O Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters, and the women of the Believers, that they should pull down upon them of their OUTER CLOAKS. That is MORE LIKELY that they may be RECOGNIZED/RESPECTED, THEREFORE NOT MOLESTED. And God is forgiving, merciful.

يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ قُلْ لِأَزْوَاجِكَ وَبَنَاتِكَ وَنِسَاءِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ يُدْنِينَ عَلَيْهِنَّ مِنْ جَلَابِيبِهِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ أَدْنَىٰ أَنْ يُعْرَفْنَ فَلَا يُؤْذَيْنَ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ غَفُورًا رَحِيمًا

Women also advised to speak modestly so not to tempt the sick-hearted:

Al-Ahzaab 33/32:

O women of the Prophet! You are not like any other women. If you are righteous, BE NOT SOFT IN YOUR SPEECH, LEST THE SICK HEARTED SHOULD FEEL TEMPTED. And speak decent words.

يَا نِسَاءَ النَّبِيِّ لَسْتُنَّ كَأَحَدٍ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ إِنِ اتَّقَيْتُنَّ فَلَا تَخْضَعْنَ بِالْقَوْلِ فَيَطْمَعَ الَّذِي فِي قَلْبِهِ مَرَضٌ وَقُلْنَ قَوْلًا مَعْرُوفًا

An-Nur 24/33:

وَلَا تُكْرِهُوا فَتَيَاتِكُمْ عَلَى الْبِغَاءِ إِنْ أَرَدْنَ تَحَصُّنًا لِتَبْتَغُوا عَرَضَ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا

And forgives the girls who are forced into a life of prostitution:

"...(continued) But if anyone forces them, then after their being forced Allah will be Forgiving and Merciful to them."

وَمَنْ يُكْرِهْهُنَّ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ مِنْ بَعْدِ إِكْرَاهِهِنَّ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ

PUNISHMENT FOR THE RAPIST MAN AND/OR WOMAN

Minimum Punishment for rapist, as per the punishment for sexual misconduct = 100 lashes:

An-Nur 24/2:

The adulteress and the adulterer -- flog each one of them with a hundred stripes. And let not pity for the two take hold of you in executing the judgment of God, if you believe in God and the Last Day. And let a party of the believers witness their punishment.

الزَّانِيَةُ وَالزَّانِي فَاجْلِدُوا كُلَّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمَا مِائَةَ جَلْدَةٍ وَلَا تَأْخُذْكُمْ بِهِمَا رَأْفَةٌ فِي دِينِ اللَّهِ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ تُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ وَلْيَشْهَدْ عَذَابَهُمَا طَائِفَةٌ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ

CAN A WOMAN VICTIM OF RAPE SUFFICE ALONE AS A WITNESS?

Yes, the woman victim of rape can not only suffice alone as a witness, her witness supersedes the witnessing of the man:

An-Nur 24/6-9

And as for those who accuse their own wives [of adultery], but have no witnesses except themselves, let each of these [accusers] call God four times to witness that he is indeed telling the truth, (6)

and the fifth time, that God's curse be upon him if he is telling a lie. (7)

But [as for the wife, all] CHASTISEMENT SHALL BE AVERTED FROM HER by her calling God four times to witness that he is indeed telling a lie, (8)

and the fifth [time], that God's curse be upon her if he is telling the truth. (9)

وَالَّذِينَ يَرْمُونَ أَزْوَاجَهُمْ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُمْ شُهَدَاءُ إِلَّا أَنْفُسُهُمْ فَشَهَادَةُ أَحَدِهِمْ أَرْبَعُ شَهَادَاتٍ بِاللَّهِ إِنَّهُ لَمِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ

وَالْخَامِسَةُ أَنَّ لَعْنَتَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ إِنْ كَانَ مِنَ الْكَاذِبِينَ

وَيَدْرَأُ عَنْهَا الْعَذَابَ أَنْ تَشْهَدَ أَرْبَعَ شَهَادَاتٍ بِاللَّهِ إِنَّهُ لَمِنَ الْكَاذِبِينَ

وَالْخَامِسَةَ أَنَّ غَضَبَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهَا إِنْ كَانَ مِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ

WILL THE WOMAN VICTIM OF RAPE BE PUNISHED IF SHE CANNOT PRODUCE FOUR WITNESSES?

The punishment for not being able to produce four witnesses is only if she accuses a another women of sexual misconduct:

An-Nur 24/4:

And those who accuse chaste women but bring not four witnesses -- flog them with eighty stripes, and do not admit their evidence ever after, for it is they that are the transgression, (4)

وَالَّذِينَ يَرْمُونَ الْمُحْصَنَاتِ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَأْتُوا بِأَرْبَعَةِ شُهَدَاءَ فَاجْلِدُوهُمْ ثَمَانِينَ جَلْدَةً وَلَا تَقْبَلُوا لَهُمْ شَهَادَةً أَبَدًا وَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْفَاسِقُونَ

FALSE ALLEGATIONS OF RAPE

Believing Women forbidden from making allegations which they fabricate "between their hands and feet" i.e. lies of sexual nature like false rape allegation or paternity fraud etc:

Al-Mumtahna 60/12:

Prophet! when Believing Women come to you, pledging allegiance to you that (1) they will not include/associate anything with God, and (2) that they will not steal, (3)and will not commit adultery, (4) nor kill their children, (5) NOR SHALL THEY COME UP WITH AN ALLEGATION WHICH THEY FABRICATE BETWEEN THEIR HANDS AND FEET, (6) nor disobey you in what is right, then accept their allegiance and ask God to forgive them. Verily, God is Most Forgiving, Merciful.

يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ إِذَا جَاءَكَ الْمُؤْمِنَاتُ يُبَايِعْنَكَ عَلَى أَنْ لا يُشْرِكْنَ بِاللَّهِ شَيْئًا وَلا يَسْرِقْنَ وَلا يَزْنِينَ وَلا يَقْتُلْنَ أَوْلادَهُنَّ وَلا يَأْتِينَ بِبُهْتَانٍ يَفْتَرِينَهُ بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِنَّ وَأَرْجُلِهِنَّ وَلا يَعْصِينَكَ فِي مَعْرُوفٍ فَبَايِعْهُنَّ وَاسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُنَّ اللَّهَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ

And when he had attained his maturity, We gave him wisdom and knowledge: and thus do We reward those who do good. (22)

AND SHE IN WHOSE HOUSE HE WAS SOUGHT TO MAKE HIMSELF YIELD (TO HER), AND SHE MADE FAST THE DOORS AND SAID: COME FORWARD. HE SAID: I SEEK ALLAH'S REFUGE, SURELY MY LORD MADE GOOD MY ABODE: SURELY THE WRONG-DOERS DO NOT PROSPER. (23)

AND SHE MADE UP HER MIND WITH REGARD TO HIM, TO SEDUCE HIM, and he made up his mind with regard to her, to resist her. If he had not seen manifest Sign of his Lord, he could not have shown such determination. Thus did it come about that We might turn away from him all evil and indecency. Surely, he was one of Our chosen servants. (24)

AND THEY BOTH RACED TO THE DOOR, AND IN THE STRUGGLE SHE TORE HIS SHIRT FROM BEHIND, and they found her lord at the door. She said to him, 'What shall be the punishment of one who intended evil to thy wife, save imprisonment or a grievous chastisement?' (25)

وَقَالَ الَّذِي اشْتَرَاهُ مِنْ مِصْرَ لِامْرَأَتِهِ أَكْرِمِي مَثْوَاهُ عَسَىٰ أَنْ يَنْفَعَنَا أَوْ نَتَّخِذَهُ وَلَدًا وَكَذَٰلِكَ مَكَّنَّا لِيُوسُفَ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلِنُعَلِّمَهُ مِنْ تَأْوِيلِ الْأَحَادِيثِ وَاللَّهُ غَالِبٌ عَلَىٰ أَمْرِهِ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ

وَلَمَّا بَلَغَ أَشُدَّهُ آتَيْنَاهُ حُكْمًا وَعِلْمًا وَكَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ

وَرَاوَدَتْهُ الَّتِي هُوَ فِي بَيْتِهَا عَنْ نَفْسِهِ وَغَلَّقَتِ الْأَبْوَابَ وَقَالَتْ هَيْتَ لَكَ قَالَ مَعَاذَ اللَّهِ إِنَّهُ رَبِّي أَحْسَنَ مَثْوَايَ إِنَّهُ لَا يُفْلِحُ الظَّالِمُونَ

وَلَقَدْ هَمَّتْ بِهِ وَهَمَّ بِهَا لَوْلَا أَنْ رَأَىٰ بُرْهَانَ رَبِّهِ كَذَٰلِكَ لِنَصْرِفَ عَنْهُ السُّوءَ وَالْفَحْشَاءَ إِنَّهُ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا الْمُخْلَصِينَ

وَاسْتَبَقَا الْبَابَ وَقَدَّتْ قَمِيصَهُ مِنْ دُبُرٍ وَأَلْفَيَا سَيِّدَهَا لَدَى الْبَابِ قَالَتْ مَا جَزَاءُ مَنْ أَرَادَ بِأَهْلِكَ سُوءًا إِلَّا أَنْ يُسْجَنَ أَوْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ

FALSE RAPE ALLEGATION:

Wife of Al-Aziz falsely accusing Joseph of rape:

Yousef 12/25-31:

And they both raced to the door, and in the struggle she tore his shirt from behind, and they found her lord at the door. SHE SAID TO HIM, 'WHAT SHALL BE THE PUNISHMENT OF ONE WHO INTENDED EVIL TO THY WIFE, SAVE IMPRISONMENT OR A GRIEVOUS CHASTISEMENT?' (25)

JOSEPH SAID, 'SHE IT WAS WHO SOUGHT TO SEDUCE ME AGAINST MY WILL.' And a witness of her household bore witness saying, 'If his shirt is torn from the front, then she has spoken the truth and he is a liar; (26)

But if his shirt is torn from behind, then she has lied and he is of the truthful'. (27)

So when he saw his shirt torn from behind, he said, SURELY, THIS IS A DEVICE OF YOU WOMEN. YOUR DEVICE IS INDEED MIGHTY; (28)

O Joseph, do thou overlook this mischief and thou, O woman, ask forgiveness for thy sin. Certainly thou art of the guilty.' (29)

And the women in the city said, 'The wife of Aziz seek to seduce her slave-boy against his will. He has infatuated her with love. Indeed we see her in manifest error.' (30)

Thereupon, when she heard of their malicious talk, she sent for them, and prepared for them a sumptuous repast, and handed each of them a knife and said [to Joseph]: "Come out and show thyself to them!" And when the women saw him, they were greatly amazed at his beauty, and [so flustered were they that] they cut their hands [with their knives], exclaiming, "God save us! This is no mortal man! This is naught but a noble angel!" (31)

قَالَ هِيَ رَاوَدَتْنِي عَنْ نَفْسِي وَشَهِدَ شَاهِدٌ مِنْ أَهْلِهَا إِنْ كَانَ قَمِيصُهُ قُدَّ مِنْ قُبُلٍ فَصَدَقَتْ وَهُوَ مِنَ الْكَاذِبِينَ

وَإِنْ كَانَ قَمِيصُهُ قُدَّ مِنْ دُبُرٍ فَكَذَبَتْ وَهُوَ مِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ

فَلَمَّا رَأَىٰ قَمِيصَهُ قُدَّ مِنْ دُبُرٍ قَالَ إِنَّهُ مِنْ كَيْدِكُنَّ إِنَّ كَيْدَكُنَّ عَظِيمٌ

يُوسُفُ أَعْرِضْ عَنْ هَٰذَا وَاسْتَغْفِرِي لِذَنْبِكِ إِنَّكِ كُنْتِ مِنَ الْخَاطِئِينَ

وَقَالَ نِسْوَةٌ فِي الْمَدِينَةِ امْرَأَتُ الْعَزِيزِ تُرَاوِدُ فَتَاهَا عَنْ نَفْسِهِ قَدْ شَغَفَهَا حُبًّا إِنَّا لَنَرَاهَا فِي ضَلَالٍ مُبِينٍ

فَلَمَّا سَمِعَتْ بِمَكْرِهِنَّ أَرْسَلَتْ إِلَيْهِنَّ وَأَعْتَدَتْ لَهُنَّ مُتَّكَأً وَآتَتْ كُلَّ وَاحِدَةٍ مِنْهُنَّ سِكِّينًا وَقَالَتِ اخْرُجْ عَلَيْهِنَّ فَلَمَّا رَأَيْنَهُ أَكْبَرْنَهُ وَقَطَّعْنَ أَيْدِيَهُنَّ وَقُلْنَ حَاشَ لِلَّهِ مَا هَٰذَا بَشَرًا إِنْ هَٰذَا إِلَّا مَلَكٌ كَرِيمٌ

THREAT OF IMPRISONMENT AND DEFAMATION BY WOMAN

Joseph threatened by the woman if he does not yield himself to her.

Yousef 12/32-34:

Said she: "This, then, is he about whom you have been blaming me! And, indeed, I did try to make him yield himself unto me, but he remained chaste. NOW, HOWEVER, IF HE DOES NOT DO WHAT I BID HIM, HE SHALL MOST CERTAINLY BE IMPRISONED, AND SHALL MOST CERTAINLY FIND HIMSELF AMONG THE DESPISED!" (32)

Said he: "O my Sustainer! Prison is more desirable to me than [compliance with] what these women invite me to: for, unless Thou turn away their guile from me, I might yet yield to their allure and become one of those who are unaware [of right and wrong]." (33)

And his Sustainer responded to his prayer, and freed him from the threat of their guile: verily, He alone is all-hearing, all-knowing. (34)

قَالَتْ فَذَٰلِكُنَّ الَّذِي لُمْتُنَّنِي فِيهِ وَلَقَدْ رَاوَدْتُهُ عَنْ نَفْسِهِ فَاسْتَعْصَمَ وَلَئِنْ لَمْ يَفْعَلْ مَا آمُرُهُ لَيُسْجَنَنَّ وَلَيَكُونًا مِنَ الصَّاغِرِينَ

قَالَ رَبِّ السِّجْنُ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِمَّا يَدْعُونَنِي إِلَيْهِ وَإِلَّا تَصْرِفْ عَنِّي كَيْدَهُنَّ أَصْبُ إِلَيْهِنَّ وَأَكُنْ مِنَ الْجَاهِلِينَ

فَاسْتَجَابَ لَهُ رَبُّهُ فَصَرَفَ عَنْهُ كَيْدَهُنَّ إِنَّهُ هُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ

MAN IMPRISONED ON FALSE CHARGES (MADE BY WOMAN)

Yousef 12/35:

For, presently it occurred to the nobleman and his household – [even] after they had seen all the signs [of Joseph's innocence] – that they might as well imprison him for a time. (35)

WHY NO PUNISHMENT FOR WOMAN FALSELY ACCUSING A MAN?

Likely because many times women who falsely accused the man of rape come around and admit that they lied. If they were punished for false accusations then they are more likely to never admit their lies:

Yousef 12/50-53:

And the King said, 'Bring him(Joseph) to me(from the prison).' But when the messenger came to him, he said, 'Go back to thy lord and ask him how fare the women who cut their hands; for, my Lord well knows their crafty design.' (50)

[Thereupon the King sent for those women; and when they came,] he asked: "What was it that you hoped to achieve when you sought to make Joseph yield himself unto you?" The women answered: "God save us! We did not perceive the least evil [intention] on his part!" [And] the wife of Joseph's former master exclaimed: "NOW HAS THE TRUTH COME TO LIGHT! IT WAS I WHO SOUGHT TO MAKE HIM YIELD HIMSELF UNTO ME – WHEREAS HE, BEHOLD, WAS INDEED SPEAKING THE TRUTH!" (51)

So that he(the husband) might know that I did not betray him behind his back, and that God does not bless with His guidance the artful schemes of those who betray trust. (52)

AND YET, I AM NOT TRYING TO ABSOLVE MYSELF: FOR, VERILY, THE SELF DOES INCITE TO DO EVIL, AND SAVED ARE ONLY THEY UPON WHOM MY SUSTAINER BESTOWS HIS GRACE. Behold, my Sustainer is much-forgiving, a dispenser of grace!" (53)

وَقَالَ الْمَلِكُ ائْتُونِي بِهِ فَلَمَّا جَاءَهُ الرَّسُولُ قَالَ ارْجِعْ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَاسْأَلْهُ مَا بَالُ النِّسْوَةِ اللَّاتِي قَطَّعْنَ أَيْدِيَهُنَّ إِنَّ رَبِّي بِكَيْدِهِنَّ عَلِيمٌ

قَالَ مَا خَطْبُكُنَّ إِذْ رَاوَدْتُنَّ يُوسُفَ عَنْ نَفْسِهِ قُلْنَ حَاشَ لِلَّهِ مَا عَلِمْنَا عَلَيْهِ مِنْ سُوءٍ قَالَتِ امْرَأَتُ الْعَزِيزِ الْآنَ حَصْحَصَ الْحَقُّ أَنَا رَاوَدْتُهُ عَنْ نَفْسِهِ وَإِنَّهُ لَمِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ

ذَٰلِكَ لِيَعْلَمَ أَنِّي لَمْ أَخُنْهُ بِالْغَيْبِ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِي كَيْدَ الْخَائِنِينَ

وَعَدَ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مِنْكُمْ وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ لَيَسْتَخْلِفَنَّهُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ كَمَا اسْتَخْلَفَ الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ وَلَيُمَكِّنَنَّ لَهُمْ دِينَهُمُ الَّذِي ارْتَضَىٰ لَهُمْ وَلَيُبَدِّلَنَّهُمْ مِنْ بَعْدِ خَوْفِهِمْ أَمْنًا يَعْبُدُونَنِي لَا يُشْرِكُونَ بِي شَيْئًا وَمَنْ كَفَرَ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ فَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْفَاسِقُونَ

"Allah has promised, to those among you who believe and do corrective works, that He will certainly make them SUCCESSORS IN THE LAND, like He made successors of those before them. And that HE WILL PUT IN PLACE THEIR DEEN / power-relation / life-transaction / way-of-life, the one which He has chosen for them; and that He will change their condition, after the FEAR in which they (lived), to one of SECURITY: 'They will serve Me (alone) and NOT ASSOCIATE / INCLUDE anything with Me. 'AND WHOEVER REJECTS AFTER THAT, IT IS THEY WHO ARE FAASIQUN / WICKED PEOPLE."

قُلِ اللَّهُ يُنَجِّيكُمْ مِنْهَا وَمِنْ كُلِّ كَرْبٍ ثُمَّ أَنْتُمْ تُشْرِكُونَ

قُلْ هُوَ الْقَادِرُ عَلَىٰ أَنْ يَبْعَثَ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابًا مِنْ فَوْقِكُمْ أَوْ مِنْ تَحْتِ أَرْجُلِكُمْ أَوْ يَلْبِسَكُمْ شِيَعًا وَيُذِيقَ بَعْضَكُمْ بَأْسَ بَعْضٍ انْظُرْ كَيْفَ نُصَرِّفُ الْآيَاتِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَفْقَهُونَ

وَكَذَّبَ بِهِ قَوْمُكَ وَهُوَ الْحَقُّ قُلْ لَسْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ بِوَكِيلٍ

Say, 'God delivers you from them and from every distress, yet you associate partners with Him.' (64)

Say, 'He has the power to send punishment upon you from above you or from beneath your feet, or to confound in party strife and make you taste the violence of one another. See how We expound the Signs in various ways that they may understand! (65)

And thy people have rejected it though it is the truth. Say, 'I am not a guardian over you.' (66)

17/82: And We send down from The Qur'an that which is a healing and a mercy to those who believe. And it increases the wrong-doers in nothing except loss.

وَنُنَزِّلُ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ مَا هُوَ شِفَاءٌ وَرَحْمَةٌ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَلَا يَزِيدُ الظَّالِمِينَ إِلَّا خَسَارًا

2/186:

وَإِذَا سَأَلَكَ عِبَادِي عَنِّي فَإِنِّي قَرِيبٌ أُجِيبُ دَعْوَةَ الدَّاعِ إِذَا دَعَانِ فَلْيَسْتَجِيبُوا لِي وَلْيُؤْمِنُوا بِي لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْشُدُونَ

And when My servants ask you about Me, say 'I am near. I answer the call/prayer of the caller when he calls/prays to Me. So they should respond to Me and believe in Me so that they may be on the right way.

And remember Our servant Ayub/Job, when he cried to his Lord; 'Satan has afflicted me with distress and torment.' (41)

21/83-84:

وَأَيُّوبَ إِذْ نَادَىٰ رَبَّهُ أَنِّي مَسَّنِيَ الضُّرُّ وَأَنْتَ أَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِينَ

And (remember) Ayub/Job when he cried to his Lord, 'Distress has afflicted me, and You are the Most Merciful of all who show mercy.' (83)

فَاسْتَجَبْنَا لَهُ فَكَشَفْنَا مَا بِهِ مِنْ ضُرٍّ وَآتَيْنَاهُ أَهْلَهُ وَمِثْلَهُمْ مَعَهُمْ رَحْمَةً مِنْ عِنْدِنَا وَذِكْرَىٰ لِلْعَابِدِينَ

So We answered his prayer and removed the distress from which he suffered, and We restored his family to him and what was similar to them with them, as a mercy from Us, and as an remembrance for (My) Servants. (84)

رَبِّ إِنِّي لِمَا أَنْزَلْتَ إِلَيَّ مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَقِيرٌ

'My Lord / Nourisher, truly I am in desperate need of whatever good You may send down to me.' (24)

الَّذِي خَلَقَنِي فَهُوَ يَهْدِينِ
(Rabbil aalameen / Lord of the Worlds is the one)
Who has created me, and it is He Who guides me; (78)

وَالَّذِي هُوَ يُطْعِمُنِي وَيَسْقِينِ
And Who gives me food and gives me drink; (79)

وَإِذَا مَرِضْتُ فَهُوَ يَشْفِينِ
And when I am ill, it is He who heals me; (80)

وَالَّذِي يُمِيتُنِي ثُمَّ يُحْيِينِ
And Who will cause me to die, and then bring me to life again; (81)

وَالَّذِي أَطْمَعُ أَنْ يَغْفِرَ لِي خَطِيئَتِي يَوْمَ الدِّينِ
And Who, I hope, will forgive me my faults on the Day of Judgment; (82)

رَبِّ هَبْ لِي حُكْمًا وَأَلْحِقْنِي بِالصَّالِحِينَ
My Lord, bestow wisdom on me and join me with the righteous; (83)

وَاجْعَلْ لِي لِسَانَ صِدْقٍ فِي الْآخِرِينَ
And grant me true and lasting reputation among those who will come after(me); (84)

وَاجْعَلْنِي مِنْ وَرَثَةِ جَنَّةِ النَّعِيمِ
And make me one of the heirs of the Garden of Bliss; (85)

وَلَنَبْلُوَنَّكُمْ بِشَيْءٍ مِنَ الْخَوْفِ وَالْجُوعِ وَنَقْصٍ مِنَ الْأَمْوَالِ وَالْأَنْفُسِ وَالثَّمَرَاتِ وَبَشِّرِ الصَّابِرِينَ

الَّذِينَ إِذَا أَصَابَتْهُمْ مُصِيبَةٌ قَالُوا إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ

أُولَٰئِكَ عَلَيْهِمْ صَلَوَاتٌ مِنْ رَبِّهِمْ وَرَحْمَةٌ وَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْمُهْتَدُونَ

For certain, We(God) shall test you with some fear and hunger, and some loss in goods or lives/psyche or the fruits (of your labour), but give glad tidings to AS-SABIREEN / those who patiently persevere, (155)

WHO SAY, WHEN MISFORTUNE AFFLICTS THEM : "CERTAINLY TO GOD WE BELONG, AND CERTAINLY TO HIM WE RETURN" (156)

They are those on whom (descend) blessings from God, and Mercy, and they are the ones that receive guidance. (157)

2/200-202:

فَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَنْ يَقُولُ رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا وَمَا لَهُ فِي الْآخِرَةِ مِنْ خَلَاقٍ

And among people are those who say 'Our Lord grant us (good) in this world;' and such a person will have no share in the hereafter. (200)

وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَقُولُ رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ

And among them are some who say, 'OUR LORD GRANT US GOOD IN THIS WORLD AND GOOD IN THE HEREAFTER, AND SAVE US FROM THE PUNISHMENT OF THE FIRE' (201)

أُولَٰئِكَ لَهُمْ نَصِيبٌ مِمَّا كَسَبُوا وَاللَّهُ سَرِيعُ الْحِسَابِ

For these their shall be a goodly share because of what they have earned. And God is swift at reckoning. (202)

رَبَّنَا لَا تُؤَاخِذْنَا إِنْ نَسِينَا أَوْ أَخْطَأْنَا رَبَّنَا وَلَا تَحْمِلْ عَلَيْنَا إِصْرًا كَمَا حَمَلْتَهُ عَلَى الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِنَا رَبَّنَا وَلَا تُحَمِّلْنَا مَا لَا طَاقَةَ لَنَا بِهِ وَاعْفُ عَنَّا وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَارْحَمْنَا أَنْتَ مَوْلَانَا فَانْصُرْنَا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ

Our Lord, do not punish us if we forget or fall into error, and our Lord, do not burden upon us a responsibility like You burdened upon those before us. Our Lord, and burden us not with what we do not have the strength to bear; and overlook our sins and grant us forgiveness and have mercy on us; You are our Master/Protector; so help us against the disbelieving people.

Marriage according To Quran is between two consenting adults, who on account of their belief & circumstances are married.

Purpose of marriage is to find love, tranquility and fulfillment and to procreate & be a family.

Monogamy is the norm in the Qur'an, but under extenuating circumstances, polygyny is allowed. We read:

"And if you fear that you will not deal justly with the orphan girls then marry those that please you of women, two or three or four. But if you fear that you will not be just, then [only] one... Quran 4:3

4:3 indicates that polygny is conditional to justice. If a man cant treat equitably, then he is ordered to be monogamous.

Polygyny in Quran is not for fulfilling the lustful intentions of man, but to provide shelter & support to destitute women

Polygyny enables wealth creation. As the members in a household increase, aggregate earning of family increases.

Polygyny reduces poverty. A wealthy man will marry poor women thus they get food & shelter.

Polygyny creates wealth succession. If a penniless poor woman stays single all her life & dies, then she leaves no inheritance but if a man marries her then through Quranic law of inheritance, she has a right in her husbands property, which then goes to her children or siblings after her demise. This way wealth is not only created but also passed on.

Polygyny saves from perversion. It is a scientific fact that men due to testosterone have a higher sex drive than women...

...instead of meeting their needs illicitly, polygyny allows men to fulfill within the bond of marriage

Polygyny provides childcare and permits women to go to work. A sister wife can look after the kids, while other wives work.

Polygyny provides companionship social, economic & psychological support.

Polygyny provides natural support system for the elderly as Quran orders to financially support their elderly parents

Thus children from polygynous marriages will support their elderly parents and not leave them at the mercy of state pension.

Thus I would argue that polygyny is beneficial for society. Because in society majority are poor & minority are rich

Polygyny applies only to the rich, as Quran makes it a prerequisite on a man to financially support a woman he wishes to marry

Otherwise he should be monogamous or keep himself chaste until he has the means to marry.

Through this Quranic law, the rich minority shares wealth as well as emotional support to the vast poorer majority & there is Equity and just distribution of wealth, increased productivity by more working members in household...

Increase in manpower by larger families, reduced crime because of harnessing male testosterone and aggression

A young workforce brought by larger families and childcare provided by sister wives & elderly care by children

Due to these facts, observations, I rest my case and conclude that Quranic law of polygyny which involves wealthy men to marry from poor & destitute orphaned girls & whom they are duty bound to financially support and share in wealth & love has immense benefits for society in all times. How true is the Qur'an which says

"And We send down of the Qur'an that which is healing and mercy for the believers.." 17:82

Man's role acc to his body is strenous work, aggressive bargaining, hunting for opportunities, & bringing the kill home

Man's role is to provide, and protect his family. work very hard and bring income home and spend on family.

Women's role acc to her body is to make home beautiful, also herself beautiful for her husband & properly manage his money

Good husband is one who:

1) works hard & earns good living

2) protects and takes a stand for his family

3) is sexually interested in his wife & is not unfaithful. wife should also beautify and make herself alluring for her man

4) is the teacher of the family. teaches and becomes role model for children & also gives counsel in times of need

Good wife is one who:

1) listens and follows her husband and also gives him advice & consultation but doesnt insult him

2) she does not belittle her husband in the company of others or is disrespectful

3) she does not divulge her husband or family secrets and preserves her family dignity & honour

4) she makes her self sexually available to her husband and considers only one man to be the man in her life ie her husband

5) When the husband comes home tired from the days work, she makes him relax & entertains him

These were some principles of marital harmony. All points are deduced from Holy Qur'an, the Book of Islam.

Death Penalty for Blasphemy: Is it Quranic?

[2.0] Blasphemy

Blasphemy is the use of offensive, and derogatory language and visual representations against personalities revered and held in high esteem in a religion.

The Qur’an narrates that Prophets and believers were mocked, derided and subjected to abuse and persecution, but in face of all this, they were commanded to show restraint and be patient. There is no command to inflict the death penalty on those who hurl abuses. Indeed their act is heinous and sinful, and for which Allah will punish them in this world as well as the hereafter, but the believers are not called to exact revenge from them. Believers are enjoined not to utter words of contempt for anyone, even for the objects of worship of other religions

[2.1] It is Allah and not the believers who will punish those who hurt the Prophet (p) in this world as well as the next.

“Those who hurt God and His Messenger — them God has cursed in the present world and the world to come, and has prepared for them a humbling chastisement.” 33:57

As those who hurt the Prophet (p) will be punished by Allah in their own lifetime unless they repent, therefore believers exacting revenge and vengeance from them or invoking the death penalty for their offence does not arise. The matter is in Allah’s hands.

[2.2] The Qur’an has cited many instances where the unbelievers mocked, scoffed and used hurtful and annoying words towards the Prophet (p) (p.b.u.h). But the Prophet (p) (saw) did not penalise such offenders but exercised restraint as Allah commanded him to do so:

“And have patience over what they say, and leave them with noble (dignity).” (73:10)

The Prophet (p) acted on Allah’s command “..have patience over what they say..” and practised restraint on the hurtful words of unbelievers. In his life, the Prophet (p) was subjected to verbal and physical humiliation. There were attempts made on his life (8:30), he was accused of forgery (21:5), he was stigmatised as a man ‘possessed’ (23:70) and a ‘madman’ (68:2). But his personal reaction was adherence to the Quranic teachings of patience and restraint. As the Prophet (p) did not invoke the capital punishment for such offenders but used patience and restraint against the invectives and persecution, therefore this is proof that blasphemy although a grave sin, and which qualifies one for a divine curse, and punishment from Allah, is not a capital offence.

[2.3] Muslims are ordered to react with restraint when their faith is being abused and ridiculed and not exact revenge from the culprits.

“You shall surely be tried in your possessions and your selves, and you shall hear from those who were given the Book before you, and from those who are idolaters, much hurt; but if you are patient and godfearing — surely that is true constancy.” (3:186)

We are told that Muslims “..shall hear … much hurt..” but in face of this, they are not to exact vengeance or retribution but are ordered to have sabr(patience) and taqwa (righteousness). Similarly, in 4:140 Muslims are told that when their beliefs are ridiculed how they are to react:

“When ye hear the signs of Allah held in defiance and ridicule, ye are not to sit with them unless they turn to a different theme.” (4:140)

As the Qur’an prescribes to Muslims restraint, and distancing from the blasphemous persons, and has not advocated exacting vengeance, punishment or revenge, therefore this shows that blasphemy, although a grave sin, is not a capital offence mandating the death penalty.

[2.4] Those who commit blasphemy and even plot sedition are given an opportunity by Allah to repent. If capital punishment were invoked and they were to face the death penalty then they would not be able to avail the opportunity for repentance that Allah mentions in 9:74.

“They swear by God that they said nothing (evil), but indeed they uttered blasphemy, and they did it after accepting Islam; and they meditated a plot which they were unable to carry out: this revenge of theirs was (their) only return for the bounty with which God and His Apostle had enriched them! If they repent, it will be best for them; but if they turn back (to their evil ways), God will punish them with a grievous penalty in this life and in the Hereafter: They shall have none on earth to protect or help them.” (9:74)

The expression in above verse: “..If they repent, it will be best for them…” is clear evidence in demonstrating that those guilty of blasphemy, apostasy and sedition are not to face the death penalty as Allah has given them a chance for repentance and amendment of their conduct.

The Quran 9/107-110:

(107) And there are those who take a mosque (for the purpose of causing)damage, rejection/concealment(of the Truth) and division between the Believers - and as an outpost for those who have been waging war against (the system of)God and His messenger since past times. They will indeed swear that their intention is nothing but good; while God bears witness that they are liars indeed.

(108) You shall not stand therein ever. The mosque which has been founded from the first day on God-consciousness, is more deserving that you stand therein. In it are men who love to be pure; and God loves those who are pure.

(109) Is he, therefore, better who lays his foundation on God-consciousness and (His) good pleasure, or he who lays his foundation on the edge of a cracking hollowed bank, so it broke down with him into the fire of hell; and God does not guide the unjust people.

(110) The building which they have built will ever continue to be a source of doubt in their hearts, except that their hearts get cut into pieces; and God is Knowing, Wise.

What gives this whole controversy its greatest sense of unreality, however, is that Ground Zero is itself an Illuminati creation using their Mossad, CIA and other assets. The controversy over the mosque is designed to cement the bogus notion that Muslims were responsible for this heinous act.

Divide and conquer is their modus operandi. Divide men and women, parents and children, straights and gays, Muslims and Christian, nations and races.

The Quranic Concept of Deen - Part 1

Salaam alaikum.

The word "dayn" comes from the root Daal-Ya-Nun which in 2/282 is used to mean a transaction:

2/282: O you who believe! when you TRANSACT(taDaYaNtum) A TRANSACTION/DEBT(DaYN) for a fixed time, write it down; ...

The word "deen" also comes from the same root and, in the same manner, is also transacted:

9/29: Fight those who believe not in God, nor in the Last Day, nor hold as unlawful what God and HIS Messenger have declared to be unlawful, nor TRANSACT(yaDEENoona) the DEENIL HAQQ, until they pay the tribute out of hand and have been humbled.

Therefore the nature of 'deen' is also that of a transaction or debt. And indeed, there is a LIFE-TRANSACTION between Allah and the believers:

9/111: God Has PURCHASED from the believers their very lives/selves and their wealth, with that they will have Jannat/Paradise....

To understand what deen is, what it is based upon, we have to understand what basically changes with a change of deen. The Quran tells us that Firaun/Pharaoh was afraid of a change of the people's deen:

40/26: And Pharaoh said: "Leave me to kill Moses, and let him call upon his Nourisher. I fear that he may CHANGE YOUR DEEN, or that he will cause chaos to appear in the land."

But what was Firaun afraid would change with the change in their deen? Was he afraid that bani Israeel(Children of Israeel) would start regarding Allah as their ilah(the ultimate reference point/authority/one's "god") and rabb(nourisher/developer/lord)? No, because bani israeel already regarded Allah as their ilah and rabb:

God/Allah, bani Israeel's ilah and rabb:

10/86: So they(Bani Isra'eel) said, 'in God we put our trust; our RABB, do not make us a temptation for the oppressing people;

10/90: ... he(Firaun, while he was drowning) said, 'I believe that there is no ILAH except Him in whom the Children of Israeel believe, and I am of the Submissive Servants/al-muslimeen'.

This dispels the misconception of deen being 'religion' or 'system of beliefs'. But then what would have changed with the change in bani Israeel's deen that Firaun was afraid of? The answer is:

Firaun's position as their:

(a) MALIK(King/Dominator/Owner/Controller) and
(b) MA'BOOD(receiver of ibadah/service, one who is served):

43/51: And Pharaoh proclaimed among his people: "O my people, is it not that I possess the Mulk/Power/Ownership/Kingdom of Egypt (i.e. 'am I not the MALIK of Egypt), and these rivers flow below me? Do you not see?"

23/47: So they(Pharaoh and his chiefs) said "Should we believe two mere humans like ourselves, while their people are AABIDOON/SERVANTS to us?" (i.e. we are their MA'BOOD)

Therefore, despite their faith in Allah/God alone as their ilah and rabb, Firaun occupied the position of their malik and ma'bood, i.e. their SERVICE/IBADAH was being DOMINATED/CONTROLLED/MADE 'MAMLUK' by him.

Such a person is described in 16/75 as "ABDAN MAMLUK(servant dominated), not having ability over anything".

This shows deen's irrelevance to religious beliefs, that despite having "religious freedom", bani Israeel's IBADAH(SERVICE) was being CONTROLLED by Firaun because of their participation in his DEEN. That despite having professed "LA ILAHA ILL ALLAH", they had not entered deenillah/al-islam. Again, this shows that the Quranic concept of deen is not that of a religion, or a set of beliefs, but of:

A transaction/debt to do with:

(a)MULK/power/dominance/ownership and
(b)IBADAH/subservience/service.

This is also confirmed by the following verses:

The Day of the DEEN(yaumaddeen) is described as the day when no soul will have MULK/POWER for another soul:

82/17: And what will make you understand what the yaumiddeen/Day of the Deen is?
82/18: Again, what will make you understand what the yaumiddeen/Day of the Deen is?
82/19: The day when no soul will have any MULK/POWER over any other soul, and the Command on that day is for God.

And in 10/104, the believers' DEEN/POWER TRANSACTION is described as giving their IBADAH/SERVICE to Allah alone:

10/104: Say: "O People, if you are in doubt as to what my deen/Power Transaction is, then (let it be clear to you that) I do not give my 'IBADAH/SERVICE to those other than God to whom you give yours instead, I give mine to God, Who causes you to die, and I have been commanded to be of Believers."

Ad-deen/deenillah therefore is the life-transaction, power relation, and/or power transaction between God and the believers, the relation between the Malik/Ma'bood and the abd/mamluk.

Punishment for Adultery and Homosexuality

The punishments of stoning and death penalty for adultery and homosexuality is in contradiction with the Quranic commands as we will see in this article, and therefore is unjust and should be rejected and opposed by those who really believe in The Quran.

Let's look into it.

STONING / RAJM

The Quran has associated the practice of stoning with the kafireen:

Chapter/Verse 11/91: They said: O Shu'aib! we do not understand much of what you say and most surely we see you to be weak among us, and were it not for your family we would surely STONE you, and you are not mighty against us.

18/20: For surely if they prevail against you they would STONE you to death or force you back to their religion, and then you will never succeed.

19/46: He said: Do you dislike my gods, O Ibrahim? If you do not desist I will certainly STONE you, and leave me for a time.

26/116: They said: If you desist not, O Nuh, you shall most certainly be of those STONED to death.

36/18: They said: Surely we augur evil from you; if you do not desist, we will certainly STONE you, and there shall certainly afflict you a painful chastisement from us.

Therefore any so-called Muslim who believes in, supports or carry outs such injustice is actually among the kafireen/rejectors/disbelievers.

PUNISHMENT FOR ADULTERY / ZINA / FAHISHA

In The Quran, the punishment of flogging/lashing is for three types of women who commit the crime: The Azwaaj/wives, al-muhsanaat/secured women and fatayaat/young women.

The punishment for azwaaj and al-muhsanaat(alongwith their accomplice, the zaani) committing zina(adultery) / fahisha(lewdness) is mentioned in 24/2-9, while the punishment for fatayaat is mentioned in 4/25.

Both the zaaniya and the zaani are to be lashed 100 stripes each. A group of al-momineen should be allowed to witness their punishment:

24/2: The zaaniya/"adulteress" and the zaani/"adulterer", lash each one of them a hundred stripes. And let not pity for the two withhold you in the deen of Allah, if ye believe in Allah and the Last Day. And let a party of believers witness their punishment.

The above verses are about al-muhsanaat(24/4) and azwaaj(24/6). The punishment for fatayaat is in 4/25. Their punishment is half that of al-muhsinaat, that is 50 lashes.

4/25: If any of you have not the means wherewith to wed al-muhsanaat, they may wed believing girls/fatayat from among those whom your right hands possess: And Allah hath full knowledge about your faith. Ye are one from another: Wed them with the leave of their owners, and give them their dowers, according to what is reasonable: They should be chaste, not lustful, nor taking paramours: when they are taken in wedlock, if they fall into lewdness/FAHISHA, their punishment is half that for al-muhsanaat. This (permission) is for those among you who fear sin; but it is better for you that ye practise self-restraint. And Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.

The punishment for women(azwaaj and milke yameen) of the Nabi is double if they commit fahisha:

33/30: O women of the prophet! Whoever of you commits an open lewedness/fahisha, the punishment shall be increased to her doubly; and that is easy for Allah.

If the women have committed open lewdness, the man can take back from whatever he had given to them:

4/19: O ye who believe! Ye are forbidden to inherit women against their will. Nor should ye treat them with harshness, that ye may Take away part of the dower ye have given them,-except where they have been guilty of open lewdness/FAHISHA; on the contrary live with them on a footing of kindness and equity. If ye take a dislike to them it may be that ye dislike a thing, and Allah brings about through it a great deal of good.

Such women can be expelled from their homes:

65/1: O Prophet! When ye (men) put away women, put them away for their (legal) period and reckon the period, and keep your duty to Allah, your Lord. Expel them not from their houses nor let them go forth unless they commit open lewdness/FAHISHA. Such are the limits (imposed by) Allah; and whoso transgresseth Allah's limits, he verily wrongeth his soul. Thou knowest not: it may be that Allah will afterward bring some new thing to pass.

Furthermore momin men and women are forbidden from marrying the zaniya and the zaani. The zaani cannot marry except a zaaniya or mushrikah. And none can marry the zaaniya except a zaani or mushrik:

24/3: The zaani shall not marry except an zaaniya or a mushrikah, and the zaaniya none shall marry her except a zaani or an mushrik. And that is forbidden upon al-momineen/the believers.

PUNISHMENT FOR PRACTICING HOMOSEXUALITY / AL-FAHISHA

The word used in the Quran when talking about practicing homosexuality is 'AL-fahisha'. (and not just 'fahisha' as used when talking about zina)

The punishment for practicing lesbians:

* four witnesses should be appointed over them. If they witness, the women should be restricted to their homes until death takes them or Allah makes a way out for them:

4/15: And as for those who are guilty of AL-FAHISHA from AMONG YOUR WOMEN, call to witnesses against them four (witnesses) from among you; then if they bear witness confine them to the houses until death takes them away or Allah opens some way for them.

Punishment for practicing gays:

* Men found guilty of committing homosexuality do not require witnesses over them.
* They can be be made to "hurt", but cannot be restricted to homes.
* If they repent and reform, then they should not be bothered:

4/16: And as for the two (who are guilty of AL-FAHISHA) from AMONG YOU(MEN), "hurt" them both; then if they repent and amend, turn aside from them; surely Allah is Oft-returning (to mercy), the Merciful.

It is also important to note that "among YOUR WOMEN" and "among YOU" implies that the punishment for practicing homosexuality can only be given by the family of the offenders, and no one else has the right to enforce it, IMHO. It is different in case of zina because of the transaction made between two parties, i.e. the payment made by the husband TO the wife(zawj) and/or FOR the 'right hands owned'(milke-yameen), and for the betrayal of the woman as she was reserved for the husband.

Moreover The Quran does not forbid the believing men and women from marrying people known to have homosexual feelings. Nabi Lut (peace be upon him) actually offered his daughters in marriage to homosexual men:

11/78: ... He(Lut) said: O my people! these are my daughters -- they are purer for you, ...

15/71: He said: These are my daughters, if you will do (aught).

Nor do I find any indication that committing homosexual misconduct breaks the marriage, as it can in case of Zina, IMHO.

Oppression/injustice is oppression/injustice no matter whom it is directed at. Shame on these soldiers of the Pakistan army.

When one studies even casually the cosmos, and there are many resources available today to study it given scientific research that is accessible by the layperson in numerous books available on the subject, it has a humbling effect.

"Indeed, the creation of the heavens and the earth is greater than the creation of humankind, but most humankind do not know (this fact)."

Zina=Public sex / Pornography?

I have come across this (mis)understanding number of times that zina is sex in public or pornography. Verse 24/4 is used to justify the understanding of az-zina as pornography/public sex. It is said that verse 24/4 requires four eye witnesses for zina to occur.

That is incorrect. Four witnesses are necessary only when the accuser is someone other than the husband(24/4). When the husband accuses the wife, the other witnesses are not required(24/6). Then is is up to the wife to accept or reject the accusation of zina even without any other witnesses. Which disproves az-zina=public sex or that it requires eye witnesses to occur.

24/4: And those who accuse al-muhsanaat/secured/married women, then do not bring four witnesses, therefore you shall lash them eighty lashes, and do not accept any testimonies from them ever; and these it is that are the fasiqeen/wicked,

24/5: Except those who repent after that and reform, therefore Allah is certainly shielding, merciful.

24/6: And those who accuse their azwaaj, and have no witnesses for them except themselves, then the testimony of one of them is four testimonies with Allah that he is from the truthful ones.

Further proof:

The wife of Al-Aziz said that she did not betray him in absence(since her attempt to commit zina was unsuccessful).

12/52, "...I have not betrayed him in the absence"

It shows that the wife's betrayal(which is what az-zina actually is) does not have to be public in order for az-zina to occur.

Also, verse 4/34 tells that 'as-saalihat' women are those who guard what is to be guarded(which includes their chastity) in absence(of witnesses).

4/34: ...the saalihat/reforming/reconciling women are devoted, watching over for the absence with what Allah watches over;...

And according to 7/33, al-fawahish/lewd acts are forbidden in private just as in public.

7/33: Say: Certainly, my Lord has prohibited al-fawahish, that which is apparent of it as well as that which is hidden of it, ...

Moreover it is just nonsense to claim that cheating or betraying is OK behind closed doors.

The Jihaad of Islam is to secure complete freedom for every man throughout the world by releasing him from servitude to other human beings so that he may serve his God, Who IS One and Who has no associates. This is in itself a sufficient reason for Jihaad. These were the only reasons in the hearts of Muslim warriors. If they had been asked the question "Why are you fighting?" none would have answered, "My country is in danger; I am fighting for its defense" or "The Persians and the Romans have come upon us", or, "We want to extend our dominion and want more spoils'.'

They would have answered the same as Rabati bin 'Amer, Huzaifa bin Muhsin and Mughira bin Shtuba answered the Persian general Rustum when he asked them one by one during three successive days preceding the battle of Qadisiyyah, "For what purpose have you come?" Their answer was the same: "God has sent us to bring anyone who wishes from servitude to men into the service of God alone, from the narrowness of this world into the vastness of this world and the Here- after, and from the tyranny of religions into the justice of Islam. God raised a Messenger for this purpose to teach His creatures His way. If anyone accepts this way of life, we turn back and give his country back to him, and we fight with those who rebel until we are martyred or become victorious" .

A quick glance suggests a dearth of profound knowledge required to instrument the progressiveness of religious dogmas and harmonization of modern-day life with the teachings of the Holy Quran and the Ahadith. IIPC should at least study the Hadith and the other books of knowledge before embarking on a mission to revise the doctrines held secured and sacred by the major contemporary Muslim schools of thought.
In a similar vein, contemporary scholars should invite Muhammad Shaikh and his disciples for peaceful dialogue and debate, before labelling them as non-believers or anything.They should do it at the least for the sake of clearing common man’s misconceptions.

First I appreciate that you didn’t outright label them as non-believers or anything and that you encourage peaceful dialogue and debate. It is important to hear the other side of the story as well. I will attempt here to clarify that they are not rejectors of Hadiths, and it will be very unjust to label them as anti-hadith or any such thing.

IIPC uses her own “interpretation” of the words of Holy Quran to turn down all other “interpretations”, like for example interpreting that the Holy Quran is the “Furqan” (criterion) that rejects the Hadith (IIPC better come up with at least one concrete example to prove their point).

The Quran is indeed the Furqan/Discriminator/Criterion(2/185), but the purpose of the Furqan is not to reject outright, but to evaluate, to discriminate/distinguish between right and wrong, truth and falsehood. That is precisely how the Quran/Furqan is used at the IIPC. Shaikh made it clear that they are not anti-Hadith, but rather pro-Quran.

According to their understanding, the Quran comes before, or above, any other book or information. Any hadees/narration, be it in the Bible, Hadith or from any other book or person, any information at all about any topic that is dealt with in the Quran, must be compared with the Quran for its verification.

Mr Shaikh has done comparative studies between the Quran and the Bible but not with the Hadiths, therefore he does not reject the Hadith collection but would rather have it evaluated in the light of the Quran by those who also study the Hadiths.

Apparently, this looks like an axiom to which there is no counter-proof, but a little digging out deep reveals that there are a lot of Ahadith that definitely and most definitely explain, and in some cases even refine, the meanings of the Quranic verses. Obviously, one would demand an example or two.

That is not logically possible.

It is possible that a hadees is confirmed by the Quran. But it is not possible that it can detail the Quran. The important point to understand is that a criterion cannot be lacking details. The Quran is The Criterion that will judge(and not necessarily reject) the Hadiths and the Bibles etc as well as all other information. So if one wants to verify the Hadiths, first he will read and understand the Quran alone(without help from Hadiths of course), and THEN judge the Hadiths according to what he has read in the Quran.

The irrefutable logic above shows that the Quran does not require Hadiths to be detailed. Because if the Criterion requires Hadiths to be detailed, then it is not much of a criterion to begin with, because then it would not be a criterion over those Hadiths which detail it. If I remember correctly, Shaikh explained this in his lecture about the Quranic concept of hadees.

On a different note, the type of picture that IIPC tries to paint is that a majority of Ahadith overrule some verse of the Holy Quran, and that the Muslims have probably invented a lot of Ahadith, and that they are so stubborn to prove their point that they would even challenge the Holy Quran by projecting an orthogonal Hadith. Such a standpoint is very much a reactive offense than anything substantial; an invention out of necessity. For anyone who tries to interpret the Holy Quran in radically new ways antonymic to existing doctrines, breaking the barrier of established rulings purported by the great majority of Muslims, across a wide span of time, is a showstopper.

Majority is not the criterion. The Quran is. In fact, the Quran warns us:

25/44: Or do you think that most of them hear or understand? They are just like cattle. No, they are worse off.

Majority of people are worse than cattle. Do you really think that they verify all the traditions they claim to accept? Do you think they have read even half of them?

Also read 6/113-116:

6/113-116: Additionally we have appointed for every prophet enemies from among the human devils and the jinn devils, who invent and narrate to each other fancy speech in order to deceive. Had your Lord willed, they would not have done it. You shall disregard them and their inventions. This is God’s will so that the minds of those who do not really believe in the Hereafter may listen thereto, and accept it, and to have them commit what they are supposed to commit. Shall I seek other than God as a ruler/judge, when He revealed to you the Book fully detailed? Those who received the Book recognize that it came down from your Lord, truthfully. Therefore, you shall not harbor any doubt. The word of your Lord is complete, in truth and justice. Nothing shall abrogate His Words. He is the Hearer, the Knower. If you obey the majority of people on earth, they will divert you from the path of God. They only follow conjecture, and they only guess.

What we understand from the above verse:

1. Allah has allowed the enemies of the prophet to inspire zukhruf al-qawl/”fancy saying” in order to deceive.

2. The believers should disregard such inventions. These inventions are designed to deceive those who do not believe in al-akhira. The believers should therefore be aware that there are many fabrications out there about all the prophets. We cannot prevent people from making these fabrications, but we can at least not allow ourselves to be deceived, by comparing with the Quran all stories attributed to the prophets before accepting them.

3. Look how the disregarding the inventions is linked with the book of Allah being fully detailed. Why should we judge according to anything other than the book of Allah, when all details are right there? Even when Allah tells us that we should not doubt that?

4. We should not doubt. If Allah says that it is fully detailed, then fully detailed it is. If the attributed stories/sayings circulating about the prophets are not confirmed by the Quran, so be it.

5. If we choose to take the majority as the criterion instead of the words of Allah, then they will definitely lead us astray. What they follow is conjecture, without any verification or evidence.

The biggest hurdle in their way is the knowledge of Ahadith; the Fiqh and the rest, everything, stems from it. It is therefore a dire must for them to undermine the importance of the Ahadith. Different groups have employed different strategies to their benefit, and IIPC treads along the most blunt lines of flat-out rejection.

Again, the IIPC does not flat-out reject Hadith. Shaikh’s comparative study is between Quran and the Bible.
You will not even see Shaikh comparing the Quran with the Hadiths(like he does with the Bible), let alone flat-out rejecting it altogether.

Their intent is not to reject everything other than the Quran but to have everything else evaluated in the light of the Quran. He tells people to read the contents of the Hadiths for themselves and verify them in the light of the Quran. I think no reasonable Muslim should have a problem with this stance.

If we pay close attention to the context of 24/2(the verse ordaining punishment for the az-zina), we realize that for az-zina to occur, az-zaani can be any man, "married" or not, but az-zaaniya must be a "married" woman:

Verse 24/4 talks about those who accuse al-muhsanaat of committing az-zina:

24/4: And those who accuse al-muhsanaat, then do not bring four witnesses, therefore you shall lash them eighty lashes,....

Al-muhsanaat is a category of women, coming from the root Ha-Saad-Nun, meaning secured, reserved, immune, fortified/impenetrable, inaccessible etc. According to verse 4/25, a woman is made muhsana through nikah/"marriage". That is, a Muhsana is a "married" woman.

Then again, in 24/6 it talks about husbands accusing their wives(i.e. women "married" to them):

24/6: And those who accuse their azwaaj, and have no witnesses for them except themselves,....

Both verses are about the accusation of women, and more importantly married women, and not about men. Why not about men? Because the man's role was secondary; the act could not have been az-zina, had the woman not been "married". Az-zina, therefore, is a polyandrous act.

I think this is why verse 24/2 mentions the zaainya first and the zaani second, as it could not have been az-zina without the polyandrous woman. Everywhere else that I can remember, the man is always mentioned first, and the woman second.(Except in the case of al-fahisha in 4/15-16 where the women are also mentioned first)

Even in the story of Yusuf, the woman who tried to force herself on him was married. Az-zina therefore, being a polyandrous act, betrays the trust of the husband, (which of course she was unsucessful at):

12/52, "...I have not akhnu-hu/betrayed him in the absence",

(...she said referring to her husband.)

Therefore the punishment of az-zina is for the act of committing and assisting polyandry, i.e. for the woman betraying her husband, and for the man "accessing" the woman reserved for her husband.
