Post a comment with your niche or a niche that you think there’s really no room to find keywords that can easily rank on and I’ll do a case study on it.

I’ll choose among the comments which niche to use as a case study.

Give me 7 days and I’ll post another video post that contains detailed information on how I did a keyword research for that niche. I’ll show you long tail keywords to target and why I did choose that keyword.

To be honest, I can’t see yet any niche that’s there’s no room for you to launch a new business. Not even in weight loss niche!

In fact, successful business people will tell you that, more competition the better. Because that means that people are proven to be making money on that niche.

Note though that research a niche and keyword researching is different. Some people get confused on that part. Be sure you already have a niche then I’ll do a keyword research.

So, go ahead and post your niche and you got a free professional keyword research services.

This will be a short and unprepared blog post. I have to do this because I can’t take it any longer.

I’ve been seeing a lot of products being sold that’s related on “how to rank #1 in Google” subject.

This is a scary! Lot’s people are being scammed here. Save your money simply by reading this entire blog post.

Here are some tips to check if it’s the website or product is bogus:

1. If the sales page is saying that they’re ranking in certain keyword in Google as their proof, check first the competition and how many people are searching for this keyword. Obviously, it is easy to rank on keywords with little competition. That’s no brainer! What they’re going to sell to you is likely to be worthless information.

Don’t be deceived with number of websites in SERPs. This is not accurate and I’ve showed it to hundreds of my “Digging for Gold” customers on how to know accurately measure the competition.

2. If all they talk about in their sales page is link building, it’s crap. Why? Because incoming link is just a tiny fraction of complex Google algorithm.

3. If they promise you that you’ll rank within 24 hours. Well, yes you may rank within short span of time, but for what keyword? It’s likely on less competitive keywords. Anybody can do that.

Another thing is, even if you rank 1,2, or 3, how long will your ranking last? That’s a BIG question.

4. If they don’t talk about building a website for your customers or readers. Website is for human first and robots second.

So, save your money and subscribe to this blog to learn more on how to rank in Google in Google’s way.

I have a subscriber who sent me a message and asking why keyword research is so damn hard. I know the ordeal she’s facing as I was on her situation nearly 3 years ago.

But I tell you it isn’t hard. People just make it so difficult.

If you’re one of the people who find it difficult, these could be the reasons:

You don’t have a clear goals and objectives.

People do keyword research for various reasons. This can be for PPC campaign, article marketing, or niche research. Your goal and objective depends on what you’re trying to accomplish.

If you’re doing PPC campaign, then you are looking for those keywords that are converting or what commonly known as “buying keywords.” I’ll discuss this type of keywords in my future post.

If you’re into article marketing, then you’re after long-tail keywords with little to competition.

If you’re into Google Adsense (advertising) business model, you’re looking into high to medium traffic keywords with high advertiser bids.

CLEARLY define your objectives, and then create a specific and measurable goal. Your goal can be number of keywords you will attack through article marketing.

You’re confused which keyword research tool to use.

There are tons of keyword research tool out there and wherever you go, people seems to advice (promote?) different tools.

Are you aware of affiliate marketing? Affiliates are basically commissioned sales people. They get a certain percentage from every sale they make. With this, people are writing blog posts, forum posting, etc., to promote a keyword research tool.

This is a BIG reason why people promote different tools. To make money.
My advice is just use Google Keyword Tool because they hold the largest search data and it’s free to use. For basic keyword research, you really don’t need fancy reports.

You didn’t gather your keywords in a single place.

If you’re like most people, you don’t have a single file or spread sheet that will list all the keywords you’ve searched. A spread sheet that will help you to analyze which keyword is the best to use.

In my book “Digging For Gold”, I included a FREE spread sheet where you can type in all important details of a keywords like, number searches, number of competition, etc. This will help you to have a single view for keyword analysis.

You don’t know what you’re doing.

This sums up all the points given above. You may be just gone straight to keyword research tool website and start punching in words and phrases. I suggest that you spend 10-15 minutes and be specific with your objectives and goals.

Gather all those keywords and analyze manually which is best for your search engine marketing campaign.

Follow my advice and you’ll be relieved!
