After 27 years of his contribution to Hip-Hop, DJ Enuff had his final day on HOT97.

This comes after the station changed its line up, removing the legendary DJ. Listen to his farewell with some friend celebrities such as DJ Khalid and Fat Joe.

You’ll also hear a call from Ebro, his coworker and former boss. Junior Mafia’s Lil Cease also called in to speak on his memories while DJ Enuff was on tour with him and the Notorious BIG.

After HOT97 parted ways with the legendary DJ Enuff, TMZ caught up with him, and he allegedly pointed the finger at long-time veteran Funk Master Flex for his firing. 😱 Flex wasn't having it! He took to his 7 PM radio slot to air EVERYTHING out, setting the record straight and revealing the full story behind the drama. He addressed the situation by recounting a shared history with DJ Enuff and how they didnt speak for 5 years. He also mentions other prominent figures in the industry, including Dj Red Alert, Wendy Williams and Angie Martinez, to provide context to the events leading up to Enuff's exit. The official reasons for DJ Enuff's departure from HOT97 have not been publicly confirmed by the station but they did change there line up. Flex now starts at 5pm and ends his show at 10.

That Time 50 Cent Invested In Lil' Scrappy & Saved His Life (TOTT Exclusive)

50 Cent is no stranger to investing in things he feels inspired by. When he heard Lil' Scrappy had an accident that left him unable to rap, 50 stepped in the get Scrap back on his feet.

Rapper Lil' Scrappy, who is now known for his role in the popular TV Show "Love & Hip-Hop," started off his career contributing to the new sound of "crunk" back in 2003/2004. After signing to Lil' Jon, Scrappy's national career was off to a strong start, he was featured on King of Crunk & Bme Recordings Present: Trillville & Lil' Scrappy - spawning a top ten R&B/hip-hop and top 30 pop hit in "No Problem" and having hoods all over the South still screaming his previous hit, "Head Bussa."

Although, violence continued to plague Lil Scrappy's shows.

In December of 2004, in Palatka, Florida, police attempted to calm a crowd by seizing a microphone from Scrappy onstage.

"I heard some glass breaking and BOOM..."

A melee ensued, in which the performer was hit in the face with a beer bottle, allegedly by police.

Scrap says,

"I wasn't able to rap."

"It was like one of them movies."

He lost two front teeth and had to undergo reconstructive facial surgery. Taken out of the spotlight at a crucial time, Scrappy contemplated legal action. But in the end he realized that the episode represented a positive turning point.

"God blessed me with that [incident] … it gave me a new way of thinking about my art and craft."

"God put me in a situation where he put 50 Cent in my life..."

After his incident in Florida, Scrappy ended up sharing stages with 50 Cent and Lil Jon on the 2005 Anger Management tour.

When 50 Cent called Scrappy to offer good wishes, he invited him to G-Unit.

50 told Scrappy,

"I'm going to talk to Chris Lighty and see how we can holla at Lil' Jon [and get you signed to G-Unit]"

The end result was that Scrappy's 2006 album, "Bred 2 Die Born 2 Live", was released jointly by BME and G-Unit.

"Inside the Industry" with Lady T caught up with Scrappy in 2006 at his album release party.

Scrappy declared,

"I'm Good. "I'm Great. G-Unit all day"

Later saying,

"50 Cent saved, my life."

Fast forward to 2025, 50 Cent is still investing in others that inspire him, through his G-Unity Foundation...

50 says,

"My interest in money is to use it for things that inspire people to become more than what they are supposed to be. You’re either with me on that wave or you’re not. Watch what I do in 2025."

Rapper and Podcast Host, Gillie Da Kid almost signed to G-Unit back in 2006.

"Inside the Industry" caught up with Gillie, who gives us an inside look into what happened during that time.

Gillie Da Kid, real name Sar'd Nasir, was rapping with his group, Major Figgas at the time. Him and current fellow podcast host, Walo had founded the group with another member named Abliva.

While co-member Walo was sentenced a 20 year prison bid, Gillie caught the attention of Birdman and Cash Money Records.

At this moment in time, we caught up with Gillie who told us about his ghost writing for Birdman and Lil' Wayne and their falling out.

He also dropped the bombshell that he could possible sign with 50 Cent and G-Unit.

"Inside The Industry" with Rapper Juvenile: Discusses Leaving Cash Money, Hurricane Katrina, Lil Wayne Jay-Z, Birdman & More

Rapper Juvenile, best known from his work with Birdman and Cash Money Records in New Orleans, called us up to discuss how things have been for him since leaving Cash Money, also how it was experiencing Hurricane Katrina. He also discusses his thoughts on Lil' Wayne, Jay-Z, Birdman and more.

Juve tells TheNewTalkoftheTown.com,

"I've been one of the lucky ones to have a few hits to stay around this long."

In the late 1990s and early 2000s, Juvenile went both solo and as a member of the Cash Money's then-flagship group, Hot Boys.

Between 2001 and 2003, the label sold 7 million albums.

B.G. and Juvenile left the label by 2002, claiming financial mismanagement.

In April 2003, Juvenile returned to the label for a reported $4 million deal, and in return, he signed over the rights to Juve The Great, an album which sold over a million copies and contained the Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit "Slow Motion".

Juvenile has been though a lot along the years, on February 29, 2008, his 4-year-old Jelani was shot and killed in her home, along with mother Deleston and older half sister. Deleston's oldest child, 17-year-old son Anthony Tyrone Terrell Jr., returned to the home after police arrived and implicated himself in the murder of his mother and siblings. Terrell was charged with three counts of murder and three counts of aggravated assault. He remains in the DeKalb County jail.

Use This Cleaning Hack From Your Laundry Room

If you haven’t tried it yet, there is a new trend everyone is trying… using your laundry detergent to clean your kitchen!

What you’ll need:

- Laundry Detergent (you can find great deals for detergent and other cleaning products here)

- Microfiber cloth (we love these)

- Water

Laundry detergent is gentle enough not to harm the cabinet's finish yet effective enough to tackle built-up stains and food splatters on most cabinet types, including painted and finished wood, metal, vinyl, and laminate.

To create a cleaning solution, mix one part of liquid laundry detergent with two parts of warm water. Dampen a cloth in this mixture, ensuring it's moist but not excessively wet.

Start wiping the cabinets from the top, giving extra attention to areas with visible stains, as well as handles and knobs — don't forget the bottom, sides, and edges of your cabinets!

After cleaning, go over the cabinets with a cloth dampened with plain water to remove any soap residue.

Finally, dry the surfaces with a microfiber cloth.

Jay-Z’s Grammy Speech 2024

The 2024 Grammys happened Sunday on February 4th in Los Angeles, with many celebrities in attendance including Jay-Z... who was there to accept the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award. Along his side, his wife Beyoncè and daughter Blue Ivy.

Jay-Z first thanked the award's namesake - who was watching from the audience - acknowledging Dr. Dre, saying that

"all the doors that you opened showed us we could be rock stars."

He added,

"Then in '98, I took a page out of their book. I was nominated for best rap album, and DMX had dropped two albums that year, they both were No. 1 - shout out to DMX - and he wasn't nominated at all, so I boycotted, and"

- he said with a laugh -

"I watched the Grammys."

Jay's message then took a more serious tone as he continued,

"I'm just saying, we want y'all to get it right. We love y'all; we love y'all;

Referring to Beyonce,

"I don't wan to embarrass this young lady but she has more Grammys than everyone and never won album of the year, so even by your own metrics that doesn't work. Think about that. The most Grammys and never won an album of the year. That doesn't work."

95 South Talks About Creating "Woot There It Is" Song (TOTT Exclusive Interview)

Growing up in the 80's and 90's, Miami Bass music (aka booty music) took over the hip-hop scene.

Songs such as Tootsie Roll (The 69 Boyz), C'mon N' Ride It The Train (Quad City Djs) and I Wanna Rock - Doo Doo Brown (Uncle Luke) lit up dance floors and radios all over the U.S.

It inspired the creation of other music genres, like the electronic dance music genres of ghettotech and booty house, which combine Detroit techno and Chicago house with the Miami bass sound.

There is even a discrepency that has been lingering around for years of the inspiration behind songs such as, "Woot There It Is" and "Whomp There It Is," which came out around the same time.

"Woot There It Is" (95 South) was released in March 1993 and "Whoomp There It Is" (Tag Team) came out two months later.

The songs are basically identical, down to the music videos.

The National Weather Service defines a white Christmas as having 1 inch of snow on the ground on the morning of Dec. 25.

Released on Thursday (Dec. 14), the song features Carti presenting his versatile delivery with bars in both his signature baby voice and a lower, gravelly tone.
