Films on the TalkTeen Podcast

In the next few episodes that we will be releasing, we will be talking about some films that we particularly enjoyed.
If you wish to watch any of these films (or indeed - thousands and thousands of others) do not panic! You don't need to buy them. Why not just rent them?
OK - but some of these high street stores are a bit on the expensive side, aren't they? I mean - Blockbuster can charge £4 for one DVD for one night.
We've found (and use) a much better service - where you don't even need to LEAVE YOUR HOUSE.
Lovefilm.com is a fantastic website - where, after becoming a member (and paying around £10 a month) - you can get unlimited DVDs in that month! How cool is that???
Let us explain...
Imagine having access to hundreds of thousands of DVDs, Blu-Ray disks and video games - just at the touch of a button.
Lovefilm is a website where you pay a small amount, then pick any DVDs (or Blu-Ray disks or video games) and add them to your online list. Lovefilm will then, straight away, pick one of the DVDs on the list and send it to you, via the post. It comes the next working day. You watch it. If you like it, you can keep it for as long as you like. There are no late fees. When you send that back (free of charge, they even provide the envelope) - they immediately send you out the next one.
We are on a package where they send us two at a time - and it is absolutely brilliant! We can watch as many DVDs as we want every month, we just send them back after we watch them - and then we get the next one.

It is brilliant and we highly recommend it.

The interactive pictures are back - so watch the screen if you have a fairly modern mp3 player/iPod.

MIXING COMPETITION

TALKTEEN HAS A NEW COMPETITION - FOR ALL YOU MUSIC FANS OUT THERE!!!

We want YOU to mix some songs together, however you want. You can listen to our attempt in the 14th episode; it can be like that if you want, or you can create your own style completely.

Use whatever audio program you want, we use AUDACITY - just type that into Google and you can download it for free.

Send your mixes to our email address; talkteenpodcast@gmail.com in an audio podcast, we will judge them and pick the best mix!

The winner will get:

a) THREE music downloads of their choice!!!
b) Their song played out on the 15th episode of our podcast
c) A MENTION ON THE PODCAST! Woohoo!

Christmas and New Year Competition

As Christmas is only two days away and New Year is only a couple more, we are setting a new competition for you guys.

Basically, we want you to take a picture of you holding a sign that you can download on our website. But we want you to make them as interesting and exciting as possible.

Perhaps you could wear a Santa Hat, or take it with a famous landmark in the background. Perhaps you could get your dog in the photo, or if you are going on holiday, take one there. Whatever you are doing, just take a photo and send it to us.

YOU WILL NEED TO PRINT OFF THE TALKTEEN POSTER WHICH YOU WILL NEED TO DISPLAY SOMEWHERE IN THE PICTURE.

The best ones will not only win a fantastic eBook, they will also get mentioned on the podcast and get their pictures posted onto the internet! This is a fantastic competition, not to be missed!

DON'T WORRY - WE'RE COMING BACK

OK, you may have noticed that we are not making so many episodes of the podcast as usual. OK. Well, we have been suffering from technical difficulties and also other problems (exams, holidays, etc.) and have therefore been unable to make the podcast.

We will hopefully be starting to make loads more episodes after Christmas (hopefully, a christmas present will be able to help us out in making them!) Look out for everything, including new video podcasts as well as audio podcasts, for those lucky listeners who have iPod videos or similar.

So hold on, keep us in iTunes, do not forget about us, we're coming back!

Recently, an internationally known speaker for school assemblies, youth conferences, colleges, and educational events got in touch with us. He has spoken to over ONE MILLION PEOPLE, hosted a REALITY TV SHOW, and has shared the stage with BILL COSBY. Josh has the ability to connect on a rare level, to inspire, motivate and get young people to THINK about their lives.
We think that he was impressed with our podcast (we hope so anyway!) and he said that maybe you guys would like to know about him if anyone ever has any problems.
So if you need any advice about anything at all concerning teenage life, we really recommend that you get in touch with him - he is hugely well-known!
