Back in March, we began our relationship as the agency of record for the Jeff Gordon Children’s Foundation (JGCF).

Our Charlotte advertising agency recently had the pleasure of joining some of the city’s most influential leaders at JGCF’s Lunch With Jeff. During the luncheon, one of the first campaign elements we created was passed out — bubbles!

Bubbles were incorporated in the Jeff Gordon Children’s Foundation logo several years ago to represent the playfulness, beauty, but also the fragileness of children. We developed the idea and design for custom bottles of bubbles to be given out as a reminder of the work that JGCF is doing in the fight against pediatric cancer.

Keep and eye out for these bubbles at JGCF’s many events throughout the year and help blow away cancer!

The 7th Street Public Market recently opened its doors in Charlotte with a mission of high quality, fresh, and affordable food from local farmers and purveyors.

The Market tapped Tattoo Projects to develop a branding and awareness campaign for its launch.

Our Charlotte advertising agency created billboards, signage, and t-shirts to let the Queen City know that a fresh new food option is in town. It’s time for Charlotte to Get Fresh.

Stop by and try the delicious fare from a variety of local vendors. That is, unless you prefer preservatives, processed foods, and trans fats, in which case you should maybe look into adjusting your eating habits. You’re not getting any younger.

We’re currently hiring art direction/design interns. Come expand your portfolio and design skills at one of Ad Age’s 2011 Small Ad Agencies of the Year. Aside from gaining hands-on industry experience, you could end up starring in our next intern video (dancing skills aren’t required, but they are a plus).

Internship applicants must be driven to succeed, hungry to learn, and have good problem-solving skills. They also must be proficient in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop CS5, and able to work a minimum of 3 days per week. $100/week stipend. We will only consider candidates who have a design portfolio, which should include any produced/published work or spec work.

Founded in our own Queen City, Girls on the Run (GOTR) is a national non-profit aimed at encouraging preteen girls to live healthy and joyful lives. The program brings together preteen girls for a 10-12 week program that teaches lessons in self-confidence, team building, and responsibility. GOTR uses running as a catalyst to drive these messages home and culminates in the girls running a 5K at the end.

GOTR of the Tri-County has been booming in popularity, but the organization has had trouble finding enough coaches to keep up with the amount of participant sign ups. Girls on the Run looked to our Charlotte advertising agency to help in the recruitment of coaches for the upcoming fall season.

Our coach recruitment campaign, consisting of print, OOH, direct mail, and digital, has begun to roll out in the Tri-County area. GOTR coaches don’t need to be runners, but they have got to be ready to get girly and have some fun. The campaign highlights the aspects you don’t usually associate with “coaching”: handholding, face painting, and piggyback rides are just the beginning. We’re still cleaning up the glitter.

Our Charlotte advertising agency recently launched an integrated campaign for Sheetz in North Carolina. Several weeks back, our TV spots started running to convince customers that you CAN get awesome made-to-order food from a gas station.

To support this campaign, we created the digital Sheetz Shout Out and have enlisted Sheetz Freakz to help spread this message. Who better to convince the non-believers then the many loyal Sheetz fans that Feel The Love everyday?

The Shout Out allows fans to record a 15 second video about why they love Sheetz food from the Sheetz Facebook page. Fans can also view the gallery of Shout Outs from others who can’t get enough made-to-order food.

The Facebook Shout Out component will be supported by a native Shout Out app for both iPhone and Android (which will be launching soon). Throughout the summer, the best Shout Outs will be turned into TV spots and aired throughout North Carolina.

If you love Sheetz, go give a Shout Out and get hooked up with a free t-shirt and potential for free food! You could even end up in the next Sheetz commercial.

Last week our Charlotte ad agency attended the 2012 Vision Awards hosted by Center City Partners. This ceremony celebrates the contributions of individuals, businesses and organizations that have made the Center City of Charlotte a more vibrant urban core.

This year’s Vision Awards recognized the hard work of Duke Energy CEO Jim Rogers.

It was a pretty rocking night, complete with BMX riders and scantily clad dancers. It is always great to spend time with others who are continuing to put Charlotte on the map. Thanks to Center City Partners and 7th Street Public Market for having us out.

Tattoo Project’s work for Sheetz convenience stores has covered many mediums, but recently we got the chance to work on a more unconventional project.

Our Charlotte advertising agency was pumped to get to design the custom Sheetz inspired Mazda Miata racecar above. The car is part of Meathead Racing’s fleet, and will be kicking ass at various races and car shows throughout the East Coast.

Last month, ad agencies from across Charlotte joined us for the 2012 Charlotte ADDY Awards. Our “Achieve Rockstar Status” theme and execution was a great success, and our agency specifically brought home a record 19 ADDY Awards.

Our projects that took home gold here in Charlotte moved on to the district stage to compete against other work from North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. We recently found out that four of our projects took home district ADDY Awards and have kept the rockstar status alive.

The Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte is quickly approaching their one-year anniversary. On May 9, 2011 the House opened its doors and began providing a “home away from home” for families with severely injured or sick children.

One of our latest projects for the House That Love Built has been to create their first annual report. The House was made possible by years of commitment and love from financial contributions to cookie baking. We sought to include all that has helped the House come to life in the theme and design of the report.

This week, our Charlotte advertising agency has been on a photo shoot with Deuce Pictures for this particular project. Check out a sample of all the cuteness in the shot above. We’ve been trying not to be jealous that our photo subjects get nap breaks.

Small business plays a huge role in driving the economy in our country. We’re no strangers than that. Our Charlotte ad agency has proven over the years that even the little guy can have a big impact.

Today, our Buffy McCoy Kelly and Rudy Banny were invited to talk about the impact small business can have on Charlotte. We joined the Deputy Assistant to President Obama, Michael Strautmanis, along with a handful of other local companies for a luncheon and discussion on how small plays large in our community.

We think small is pretty cool and will always welcome the opportunity to mingle with other small companies that help keep Charlotte moving.
