All fish are hung on a piece of driftwood unless a habitat scene is requested. Fish habitat scenes (rocks, water, dirt, weeds, etc…) cost extra and start at $100.00

All trout and salmon fish mounts receive an artificial head that is cast and molded from the original specimen. This is due to the oily heads on these fish. This will require an additional fee of $25.00 if you would like to have a trout specimen done.

All fish are mounted using high quality materials. Our fish paints are the best money can buy and are specifically designed for painting fish mounts. All fish are airbrushed . Crystal clear, anatomically correct along with great detail are the only glass fish eyes we use.

Cliffords Taxidermy also specializes in fiberglass fish reproductions. This an alternative to a skin mount. Taxidermy fish reproductions last a lifetime and come in many sizes and shape. Fiberglass fish reproductions look like the real thing. If you practice catch and release or just want to own a fish mount, then a reproduction is the way to go. Fiberglass fish mounts cost a fraction more then actual skin mounts do. Call for a price quote today.

To start out, mix 2 teaspoons of oxalic acid for every gallon of water. Use hot water when mixing. DO NOT breathe in the fumes and or vapors while mixing oxalic acid. This could result in your lungs being burned. You should maintain a pH of 1 to 2. PH test strips work well for measuring levels of pH.

Make sure you allow the acid solution to cool to room temperature before adding any pelt or hide.

I'm painting and framing Turkey feathers. One thing I've noticed is at the tip of the quill it leaves a wet mark. Will sanding away all the skin and maybe a little rubbing alcohol dry it up so it won't do this?
