Rock Your Tees

Just recently I was on twitter, when I discovered Rock Your Tees. These guys got some awesome funny sayings on their t-shirt designs, their website is nicely designed and super clean as well.

This week, they are having a huge 4th of July Sale, all tees are $16 till this Sunday, July 5, 2009. Don't Miss it.

While I was there, I noticed a Barack Obama t-shirt which is unique than other t-shirt companies as it doesn't include the words "Hope" or "Progress" written in its design. I was tired and bored looking at those t-shirts all year. Instead, this tee says "Stimulate My Package", which is creative as he is now the President but hasn't done any progress or given any hope that the economy will get healthy again. He has been stimulating financial packages to big companies, what he really needs to do is Stimulate a Package for the people who voted for him.

Make it known what the government can do for you during these tough economic times, wear the "Stimulate My Package" tee and get the word out to other citizens looking at your t-shirt.

Here are the easy steps you can take to make use of TDjunkie free wallpapers on your iPhone. The first step is to save the desired wallpaper to your Mac or PC via your favorite browser.

Click on the image you want to use, a new window will open with the image.

Select "Save as..." and save the image to your hard drive.

* Mac users can either save the image to a folder or add it to their iPhoto library.

* PC users will want to save the wallpaper into their "My Pictures" folder.

If you haven't heard it then you must have been living in a different planet, its the #1 song on iTunes / Clubs everywhere. It has a slick beat from Will.I.AM who I think is the beat maker of this ish. Well I got this ish in my iPod so it well deserves a t-shirt to go with it, I made a BOOM BOOM POW tee for myself and for all the peeps who trust me to have it on the website as well, because chances are your going to end up wearing it.

This month alot of new music came out, T-Pain & Jamie Foxx came out with the "Blame it on the Alcohol" actually it goes like 'Blame it on the Alcohol al-al-al-al-a-alcohol'. See the title, that's our latest funny t-shirt design, in addition to this design we have also added another new t-shirt called Rational Spelling Bee Champion (try to beat that Snorg Tees / Busted Tees & many more).

Invention is everything in this tough economy, and if you've been bombarded by ads by these huge t-shirt companies to buy their stuff, you've got a choice, wear stuff from TDjunkie and see how were completely different and focus entirely on delivering better / great t-shirts.

TDjunkie always has / will been inventing new t-shirt ideas sometimes even better than million dollar companies like (Snorg Tees, Busted Tees, Desiwear, Desithreads, or Threadless) but people hardly notice (I don't blame ya, we don't spend a penny on advertising), our design "Don't Blame Me, I was born Awesome" was another great t-shirt we did last year and it became instantly famous with the college crowd.

Making new t-shirt inventions isn't rocket science but there is great deal of difference between good t-shirts and great t-shirts. Making great ones does take time and a solid involvement of design principles like typography, visual elements, and the whole picture / idea itself. If you don't know Lil Wayne, he is a young rapper. His music is top level gangsta, in other words its cool. His real name is Michael Carter. His previous album Carter III was on #1 spot on billboard charts and still is on some of the tracks.

I happen to listen to his music its not really inspiring but the art form in which he carries the songs is exceptional. Web Design Issues Resolved

Notice anything different lately at tdjunkie.com ? Yes, I've updated a lot of things, here is brief summary of the issues that got resolved. If your a web designer or developer you might want to read this post as it highlights problems and solutions to everyday jargon which a web designer faces in his daily life.

Issue # 1
Browser Compatibility

With over 4 to 5 good browsers available today its hard to keep up with how the website looks on each and every one.

Internet Explorer 7+ users always see the website, exactly the way I designed it.
Firefox 3 users have been complaining to me that the top flash bar does not appear correctly on their browser and I have tested this problem, therefore they think its not cool.

Safari / Chrome, the mac and new google browser show my website exactly the same way, they show the top bar slightly to the right, which made the whole page look uneven.

The Result:
All these browser problems have now been eliminated as I've updated the website with brand new bar, which is even on all browsers, and looks superb on all browsers.

Issue # 2
Usabilty

On the website the top logo / coupon bar was so big that it had hidden key ares of clicking and looking. I found this problem by evaluating my website at my college campus. People don't like to put effort while shopping, they go by whats attractive to them. This resulted in very little people looking at the new featured designs, and specific content which is available to them, all they had to do is scroll.

The Result:
A brand new logo bar. Totally lifted this up by 80 % from the previous logo bar this makes the content apprear to the eye level, thus making it easier to click whats available in .5 secs of decision clicking (notice, I said clicking, not making).

So there you go, a major UPDATE to make life easy. Go see the update.

During the last 2 months I was involved with creating major sections for TDjunkie.com, Requests were pouring in for new bollywood tees as the trend is catching to become more of a urban legend. I had to do something significant for my customers, thats when I decided to feature Aishwarya Rai in a "Desi Chick" design. This design involves a dramatic look of Aishwarya Rai in a traditional yet modern perspective of an indian women. A tee every indian girl / woman would want to wear.

Desi people are sick and tired of wearing t-shirts with "Desi" written on it. Yet some desi companies keep on realising them. Although, I'm guilty, I have a couple of t-shirts which were released in 2002 with the word "Desi" but its not cool anymore.

He came out with Akshay Kumar (bollywood actor) in the new movie titled "Singh is Kinng". Offensive T-Shirt Section

After reviewing the website (tdjunkie.com) with usability expert "the customer" or should I say "customers" I had to put up new graphics up for the offensive t-shirt section.

I had several customers tell me this question "How come offensive section does not have cool graphics like the humor section ?" I had no answer, or I had part of the answer I'm pretty busy, but I got some time cleared up last week so I went down to my computer immediately and put up new graphics for it.

Now offensive t-shirt section has new graphics and a brand new design "1.800.JUICY4.U" take a look right here.

VAISAKHI CELEBRATIONS (w/ Photos) in Los Angeles

The Sikh community of Southern California celebrates the 309th Anniversary of Vaisakhi at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

The convention center was intelligently modified into a Gurudwara. The Sikh Community showed up with shrill vibrant floats from major California Gurudwaras across the state. They was the big Langar Hall with seva volunteers serving Langar (food) all day long.

Apart from everything there, there was LOVE at this place. LOVE of Kirtan Groups, LOVE of Parents, LOVE of Vahiguru. I'm now sharing this LOVE with you through photographs.
