Instead of having accessing someone this way:

http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=123456

Your profile address can look like this:

http://www.facebook.com/yourname

If you are a Facebook user, like many that I personally know, then grab your favorite name before it is gone.

Facebook will suggest some names based on your first name and last name. You can also pick something that is similar to your email, nickname, or other usernames you have used in the past.

“EPP is a flexible protocol designed for allocating objects within registries over the Internet.”

In other words, it is a uniform way to handle domain transactions and thus making it a lot easier to transfer domain names between registrars. It is also safer making the chance of your domain being stolen or hijacked minimal.
Different registrars use different names for EPP. I keep my domains at Godaddy.com and there, they call it Authorization Code. Other names also used are: EPP code, EPP authentication code, or EPP authorization code… They all mean the same.

To access your EPP or Authorization code at Godaddy, login to you account. Go to domain management, and click on the domain in question. A domain detail page will show all the options available to your domain.

For Security reasons, Godaddy doesn’t let account holders get the EPP code online. Godaddy.com will send the code to the administrative email on the account. All what you need to do is double check that you email is up-to-date before initiating a transfer.

Also note: Your domain has to be unlocked prior to transferring it. Also there are ICANN restrictions that will not allow you to transfer your domain, if it was registered or previously transferred within the last 60 days.

In the story they mentioned that high visibility sites like USA Today, ABC News, and Wal-Mart were affected.

This happened to one of my sites not long ago. Thanks to avast, I found about it quickly. I have outsourced a site for one of my customers, and asked the freelancer to load the site. After he was done, I went to take a look. Suddenly the popular avast alarm sound started and a panel showed a warning me about the web page.

2 - No matter how a webhost providers promise to backup your data, there is no assurance that you will get it all back. Remember the terms of service that you have read and signed. You have to understand that in order for webhost providers to bring the prices down, they have to host hundreds if not thousands of sites to make up for the cost.
There is no way that they can provide a backup/restore plan for each site on the serve. Luckily there are simple and free tools that you can use and will help you backup all your sites.

I got recently a security key and think it’s good investment any paypal account holder should have. A recent study by Nielsen online reveals Social Networks ahead of personal email use.

Social Networks are also growing twice as fast as any of the other main sectors of the internet. Orkut in Brazil has the largest online members of any other network in the world and Facebook has the highest average time per visitor.

And if you do not have any technical knowlege and want to build a blog site on your own, don’t worry, you’ll find it simple to install watching a video that comes with it.

You can use fantastio or the 5 minutes installation guide offer by wordpress (I also wrote about it). Expert wordpress will include a lot of plugins that you can activate if you choose to. Alex picked the most popular and robust plugin and I am sure there will be some of these plugins that will be very benefitial to your site.
