Responsible for recruiting, retaining and growing top engineering talent for all iHeartRadio client engineering teams (platforms include iOS, Android, Web/iHeart.com), homegrown CMS and tools platform, and iHeartRadio's 1000+ site network of local radio station and personality web sites.
Oversee all major architecture and platform initiatives and support the company's Agile process for all new feature development/maintenance. Initiatives included: adding subscription tiers to the free iHeartRadio product; internationalization and delivery of a global app; full redesign of mobile apps, responsive design for iHeart.com and re-platforming of the CMS (which was awarded a patent) used to support 1,000+ radio station web sites.

Joined in the role of core contributor on the Netscape.com re-launch (LAMP stack) as social news site. Promoted to lead developer and ultimately acted as general manager and business owner for several facets of the Netscape brand including Propeller.com (originally Netscape.com), a social news site; My.Netscape, a personalized start page; Netscape Navigator, a Mozilla-derived web browser. As of October 2010, all are defunct.
Created an online poll system for use in the Ask Jeeves “Smiley Central” browser toolbar. Utilized Java Spring, J2SE 5.0, JSP w/JSTL on Tomcat connecting to an Oracle database.
Acted as core contributor on a new portal architecture for Ask Jeeves and a first implementation called Smiley Today! This involved writing a portlet-style framework using Spring, J2SE 5.0, the Velocity API, and simple Java sockets to connect from client farm to server farm. The architecture included JMX management extensions, custom class loaders, independently deployed components and services, and a comprehensive service cache layer.
Managed development and acted as lead developer on several projects for the public facing hotjobs.yahoo.com. The technologies used for these projects included C, C++ and PHP on FreeBSD. Most projects performed to bring the HotJobs technology stack (C/CGI/Pro-C) in line with Yahoo's (PHP, C++).
Participated in creation of a job recommendation engine using behavioral analysis and an affinity engine.
Hired as a Java engineer and in that role wrote a J2SE-based data mart loading system for product, customer and sales information for the company's clients (ZanyBrainy.com, DicksSportingGoods.com, Ulta.com). Progressed to managerial role overseeing development of an e-commerce platform and product loading pipeline.
Wrote and maintained loading scripts in Perl, COBOL and Informix 4GL for metadata import of book information from publishers, wholesalers and distributors for the benefit of the Master Title Database supporting Barnes & Noble, Inc brick and mortar stores and barnesandnoble.com.
