It’s a fact that some commericals have helped solve many queries aboutvoying and registeration for the youth. The Election Commision or the EC hasn’t remained far behind. You do not require a voter ID to vote now. You can vote by showing any other government approved card or document. Obviously this may cause security issues and fake identity cards but it makes. Iting for the middle and upper middle class a lot less hassle free. The lower class already votes after getting some notes. So it’s time to awaken for us, the people who don’t care while voting session ison and then later blame the leaders and crib.

Other cynics might say all are corrupt anyway what’s the use of voting? Well the answer to tyt is quite straight forward- vote got the least corrupt then.

Voting is your responsibilty if youre above 18. You should give and vote because if you don’t then you hve nobright to crib about anything including terror attacks or bad roads.

The Lead India Campiagn started by The Times Of India too has gained momentum. Voting has never been so youth oreinted and friendly before. Parties are spending billions of rupees to win from party funding accounts etc. Don’t disappoint them. Go vote. I sadly can’t yet :@

However getting back to the topic the governement has also been monitoring emails sent and recv. to or from India.

But as the technology they have isn’t enough to track people down they have now put up stuff on your ISP’s which will make then track you down. Which in English means if you’re sending terror treats (threats) to these nice people stop and think If your ISP can track you down or not. For the rest of however this means no priavy at all :P

So think before you send an email because the government might be reading it. Or worse your ISP might be reading it too XD

While America has been doing since the Stone Age (of the Internet). We Indians thought our government wasn’t as retarded as the Bush administraton.

I guess the smoking ban and this just proves me and many other people wrong.

I guess the government is just bored. And hence, they gave decided to read emails by other people for other people It’s great they think they can catch terrorists by using this method. Seriously dude I’m gonna start using Facebook wall-to-wall to dump a chick and shit.

In today’s news I hear that our union health minister has finally convinced our center government to ban smoking in public places except on roads.

The previous draft contained a line which said it was okay to smoke on paths but not on pavements but when our smart government realized that didn’t make any sense even in Gibberish they decided to change it. I had posted an article called Don’t Smoke….Strip! During may when the same guy told Bollywood stars not to smoke in movies and in public places. He had also said in a press conference that public figures shouldn’t even endorse junk food.

Starting from October 2nd a 200 rupees fine will be imposed on any one seen smoking in public places except the roads OR well you could just give a Dunhill to the cop who has never smoked anything but Desi Beedi :)

The center once again tying to prove the they are not as bad as the Left tells people they are and also once again failing at that.

People from all over the country are angry ad even non-smokers think this is a step in the wrong direction. I seriously doubt if Mr. Ramadoss hasn’t ever been affected by the ‘crazy’ because there are way more important issues he should be dealing with, unlike underage smoking and drinking. What the bloody fuck is he trying to prove?

People have a right to smoke if you think that’s wrong ban smokes and abolish all smokers. Oh, or go and arrest those people who smoke pot up in the Himalayas and those ashrams.

Next thing we know the government bans peeing on public property!

Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc. (NYSE: MER) also has been facing problems and on 14 September 2008 for Bank of America to acquire Merrill Lynch, if approved by regulators and shareholders of both companies. Lynch also like Lehman Brothers a global financial service firm.

American International Group, Inc. (AIG) (NYSE: AIG) is a major American insurance corporation. On September 16, 2008. AIG suffered a liquidity crisis, the United States Federal Reserve stepped in to prevent financial collapse of the company. The Fed announced the creation of a credit facility (at an interest rate of 8.50 percent over the three-month London Interbank Offered Rate (LIBOR)) of up to US$85 billion. It was also removed from the DOWJONES on the 18th of September 2008.

In the same week, 2 of the major and the oldest financial firms and the 18th largest insurance firm have failed. This news has been worrying the investors all around the globe.

However the Indian finance minister stated yesterday that we’re quite insolated and that the American crisis won’t really affect the banking sector of India as the banks are very well regulated. After his speech the market went ahead and closed 52 points on the upper side.

At 10:15 AM EST on the 18th of September. George. W. Bush, the president of America made a speech which made both the DOWJONES and the NASDAQ [Two of the major exchanges of America] close in the green.

A good piece of information is that Lehman’s last quarter results were good and they gifted 22 million dollars to their CEO. Which basically means that their annual reports and balance sheets were fake! A huge company like Lehman cannot be bankrupt in one quarter.

But the question which really made the markets come down was “If a big company like Lehman Brothers can have manipulated annual reports and balance sheets what about the small financial firm I have invested in?” Even in India where on the day of the Lehman Brother news the market was down by over 650 points at some point of the day.

However some analysts do believe that this was more to do with Merrill selling the stocks on companies which they have invested in since about 3 months. However all the markets need is some sensitive news and it comes crumbling down, like during a war or during the rise of inflation. And the reason for that is the mindset of the people. The people get disturbed when such news comes out and they sell their shares [Many of them even if they are making a huge loss] because they get scared that tomorrow they might wake up and the stock market would be wiped out and that has happened before.

People are blaming the finance minister of India saying that the banks here are not throughly regulated. Recently there was some news coming in about major shareholders of ICICI selling their stock, this includes the CEO, the directors etc. However this news was rubbished by the bank and it was called a “Rumor to bring the bank down”

The Finance Minister however sticks to his “Everything is fine. RBI is on top of this” statement.

As the Wall Street buzzes again, everyone has a doubt on who’s the next firm to fall.

P.S- Over 1500 jobs were lost in India overnight as Lehman filed for bankruptcy and this is not the end of it. The American Recession is under way and it’s gonna be huge ;)
