There have been times however that I miss sending sms replies because my prepaid load has gone down to zero. I usually have another handset as a backup for emergencies like these.

Anyway, I have been meaning to get myself a more flexible plan where I don’t need to go look for a loading station or the nearest sari-sari store to load up on prepaid units. I really plan to get a Globe postpaid account  especially now that there is Globe Super One as an alternative since most of my contacts are also Globe subscribers.

I was reading about Globe Super One when I stumbled upon a Super One Blogger Contest. Woot!

I hope I can put together a post that will impress those who will read it and get to win that gorgeous Samsung Galaxy S Android phone.

Goodness, I really need to upgrade the unit I am using though this is not as old as my Globe prepaid sim

Last night’s wonderful dinner with friends was with a little hitch on my part. I forgot my camera so my friends were the ones who took photos. Argh! I have no control of what they will put online, LOL. I may be looking exceptionally gorgeous for everyone to see. NOT.

If there is one thing about taking photos that I am “proud” of, these are the ones.

I was waiting for the reforms in reproductive health issues and population control because I hold that high among the priorities that I give importance to, along with education. In my opinion, these two go hand-in-hand in alleviating the poverty level of the country.

Oh well…

Anyway, some of those that were discussed during the SONA were a shock, especially the amount of money the Metropolitan Water and Sewerage System people gets in spite the fact that people are lining up the streets to get their ration of water because they, I mean, WE had to go without water for almost two weeks.

Hundreds of thousands of metric tons of sacks of rice when the nation’s children are hungry and malnourished just got spoiled?

Is this not a crime, letting rice rot, despite the fact that there are 4 million Filipinos who do not eat three times a day? It is more than that figure who go hungry everyday sir.

I will stop here because I feel like sick just writing about spoils and mindless spoilage.

The situation is not what it was before; we can all dream again. Let us all become one in achieving a fulfilment of our hopes and aspirations for our country.

It may sound like a broken record but yes, “change starts from within us”.

Not really a fan of fashion, I took notice of the clothes and it seems that clothes worn yesterday were toned down and much more simple compared to other glitzy SONA events.

I wonder how many ladies (and gents too) took weight loss dietary supplement before the SONA

Perhaps it is the sign of the times that people who attended the SONA wore simple gowns. Or perhaps they know they will stand out like a sore thumb if they did, knowing the first family’s preference for simple things including fashion and lifestyle.

More than a billion people are listed as hungry. In the Philippines, with an estimated 8 million children undernourished and 15 million malnourished people, it is imperative that schools and families work together to help raise awareness about the importance of getting the right nutrition beyond Nutrition Month.

I don’t think some of them heard about apidexin the way people on a diet do.

One does not have to buy expensive food to be able to get the proper nutrients especially the micronutrients. Green leafy vegetables offer a lot of nutrients that are in abundance and does not come with a high price tag. Why, these can even be planted if there is a small yard and if one of the parent is willing to spend a little time tilling the soil.

As my young son quipped last night when we bought beef strips for packed lunch: beef is rich in protein, eggs, milk and beans too.

And I wanted to say, beans are much more inexpensive than beef

The Indonesian toddler who is said to smoke about 40 sticks of cigarette (not arturo fuente) a day is not a laughing matter nor a cute video to watch. The video went viral but somehow it seems to show conflicting sides of the story, depending on who views the video and if there is parental guidance upon viewing.

I really hope parents who smoke would be very wary of the dangers that smoking has, not only to themselves but to their children as well.
