Much of what I will share here will be about our day to day life, homeschool lesson plans and resources, along with some recipes and food inspiration posts.

My name is Sam, I spent most of my time at home, I am fairly introverted but I love getting out with others as well. I enjoy the outdoors and you’ll often find me in my backyard with my son, or at the lake soaking in nature. I have several hobbies including sewing, canning, baking, cooking, singing, and playing guitar. I was homeschooled my whole life and it is what led me to do what I am doing now. I have chosen to follow a vegan lifestyle, and have “flirted with veganism” for years. Just recently at the beginning of 2023 I began “Veganuary” and never came off of it.

Coeven is my almost 2 year old son, he such is a sweet, shy, silly little soul. He keeps my on my toes, literally always running after him. He loves puzzles, playing outside, water, exploring new textures, food, and hugs. Coeven has CMPI and is allergic to eggs, which along with wanting to give him bodily autonomy and the ability to choose to eat meat when he is older, is what first drove us to a plant based diet. Coeven has been plant based for most of his life, except for the 2 times he had eggs, and breastmilk that contained animal proteins in it.

Porter is my 9 year old brother. He’s the mini fiery redhead of our family, after my dad. He has the most convincing arguments, can make the best grilled cheese, has more energy than anyone I know, and can poke at your heart while make it seem like an accident when he actually knows exactly what he’s doing. Porter started being homeschooled in the fall of 2022 after the previous years spent in public school were becoming, in his own words; “like prison”. He has a wild bone in his body, or a few, and he has been excelling in the homeschool setting where he is able to express himself and be extremely physically active.
