Feedback from farmers at our September trade show booths has been outstanding for the new FarmLogic software. Once again, farmers in Ohio and the surrounding area were excited when they saw the new FarmLogic software at the Farm Science Review. Comments once again centered on how easy the software is to use. We are excited about releasing the product to the agriculture community in October. If you want to learn more about FarmLogic farm information management software, check us out on the web at www.farmlogic.com.

We took the FarmLogic product to the Farm Progress Show in Boone, IA and it was a huge hit! It was the first show for FarmLogic and we could have sold dozens of units at the show. But, we were listening to our future customers instead of selling. We heard loud and clear that farmers want and need a simple way to keep up with their information. Their reaction to our software confirmed that we are providing that solution. The 10-hour trip from Murray to Iowa was worth the ride. Look for FarmLogic at the Husker Harvest Show next week in Grand Island, NE, September 9-11. We’ll have our eyes and ears open again to find out what else farmers want from our new product, which will launch very soon.

Last week we participated in our first trade event, the Farm Progress Show in Boone, IA. A great time was had by all and the FarmLogic product made quite a statement. Everyone was impressed by the speed and ease of use of the software and the ruggedness of the TDS/Trimble Nomad, which we tossed, beat and abused for three days while demonstrating the machine’s durability. Tab should be posting some pictures from the show in the near future.

Next we travel to Grand Island, NE for the Husker Harvest Days. I know we will once again have a great time and meet a lot of new and interesting people while showcasing the FarmLogic product. When we get a moment to catch our breath we will post some of the more interesting stories we have collected during our first string of farm shows. I anticipate Brandon will have some great posts detailing his adventures in Boone and Grand Island!! Until then, turn it off, wait thirty minutes and restart (inside joke in regards to my tech support to my wife during the trip to Boone).

With the new TeamRugged blog site comes the first venture into the blogging world for me, and many of other staff members at TapLogic. We’re all pretty good with computers around here, but we’ve all been busy working on FarmLogic software development, the first product offering from TapLogic. Since the computer that serves as the platform for our software - the TDS Nomad - is so tough, so rugged, the TeamRugged name was a natural. Hope you like it!

So, this blogging stuff is a great diversion for all of us. When our web design guy, Steven Sanders, came up with the concept of TeamRugged we all thought it was great. Now, we’ll blog on this site regularly about the things we like to do - hopefully things you like to talk about as well.

For me, I’m a sports guy - heavy into baseball and football. Baseball on the pro level and football on the college level. Our whole office is basically St. Louis Cardinals nuts. Go Albert, go Cards! But, our office staff is very diverse with opinions and thoughts on everything from farming to old cars to backpacking to this new crazy game we’ve discovered - cornhole.

The Rainbow Warriors team of Kevin “Old Faithful” Knotts and Tab Brockman went undercover today and dethroned Black & Gus in straight sets to reclaim the championship in the ACO’s TapLogic league series.

Knotts, still on the lamb from his recent brush with the Wyoming law, make a sneaky entrance into Murray and the Big Apple in Panama Jack garb (with shades and cigar), then partnered with Brockman to post 24-6 and 22-11 wins. Fortunately for Knotts, no crowed was on hand to notify local authorities.

Knotts quickly left the building after the match but did make a statement along the way.

“Last time out I feel we played for the large crowd in attendance instead of our game. Today we were just smoke’n and joke’n and let our ability and experience take over…those boys can’t touch that,” Knotts said on the way out of the parking lot.

Brandon “Gus” Cavins was off of his game today, appearing jelly-legged on several throws.

“I just have to learn to pace myself. I can’t always perform like I think I should,” Cavins said.

The TapLogic traveling trophy will now go back to the Rainbow Warriors for at least two and possibly three weeks. Brockman will be out of town next Friday and Cavins is rumored to be on the road the following week.

After the tightly fought first contest, the Warriors regrouped and thumped B&G in Game 2 by a 21-7 score to set up the rubber contest.

In the deciding match, the two talented teams traded punches and were deadlocked at 15 before B&G pulled away for the win.

Kevin Knotts, one of the ACO’s emerging stars in West Kentucky, was arrested this afternoon for “destruction of a national treasurer” after tossing four bean bags into the Old Faithful Geyser during a family outing at Yellowstone National Park. The bean bags immediately stopped up the immensely popular geyser and sent thousands of visitors to the park ranger stations identifying Knotts as the culprit.

When park officials asked Knotts what he was thinking throwing bags into the famed geyser, he responded “I saw a hole over there and had to throw a bag in it”. Knotts later commented: “Where I come from, you don’t get arrested for nothing if a cornzizzle is involved”.

Upon reaching Knotts’ teammate, Tab Brockman, he stated: “If the man threw a cornzizzle, he should be let go. In fact, he should receive even more points in the power ratings. That’s quite the accomplishment. Especially in altitude. That’s my man!”
