Spyder pledges $1000 to Wounded Warrior Project

Congrats to our Boulder neighbors, ski apparel brand Spyder Active Sports, who have just announced their pledge to raise $1,000 for the Wounded Warrior Project by reaching out to their Facebook page members. WWP is a nonprofit which provides programs and services to injured soldiers returning from war. Great use of social media – talk about webbing for good. Go Spyder!

Introducing the All-New Messages Tab

Today we’re excited to announce our revamped TeamSnap Messages tab. We’ve moved some things around and added some much-requested features. We think it’s a whole lot better.

First off, we found out that a lot of users didn’t know you could email or SMS text your team, because those buttons were under the Roster tab. So we’ve consolidated all of the communication functions under the Messages area. Now there are three buttons that let you choose between sending emails, sending SMS texts and posting messages to the message board. It’s all in one place.

Next, we added a few features:

Save copies of sent emails and SMS texts. Now you can refer back to past emails that you sent, or re-send them to other people.
Save email drafts. Not ready to send your masterpiece email? Just save it as a draft and continue it later.
Bulk delete. No more deleting messages one at a time. Now you can simply check off the ones you want to delete and nuke them in one fell swoop.

Finally, we made the messaging boxes a little bigger, so you can type more text without scrolling.

The Open Angel Forum, which TeamSnap presented at in February, is coming back to Boulder on August 4th. If you are a startup looking for money or an investor looking for great investment opportunities, check out the announcement. Be warned though – the bar is high. The Forum attracts serious investors by being very choosy about selecting the presenting companies. And it attracts the best companies by only inviting active investors with funds available. The result is a target rich environment from both sides: investors ready and willing to invest, and companies that represent attractive, high potential investment opportunities. ABC News helps spread the word about the usefulness of TeamSnap in managing both sports teams and non-sport clubs. The article and video do a great job of highlighting the fact that TeamSnap lightens the administrative load of an organizer, which allows more time to enjoy the activity itself.

New Ways to Share on Facebook

You may have noticed that we’ve added some “Share on Facebook” buttons to the site. If you have Public Access turned on for your team site you can share links directly to your public site, and if you’ve enabled Public Access for your photos you can directly share a link to photos on Facebook.

We’ll be adding more ways to integrate Facebook into your TeamSnap experience in the coming months. Apparently this Facebook thing is catching on.
