This is going to be an almost completely apolitical blog.

If you’d like to follow content I’m posting outside of Tumblr, I’ve set up an update notification microblog on Tumblr for that purpose. No need to get accounts elsewhere, just subscribe there and content will he shot right onto your dashboard, thanks to the magic of IFTTT. Assuming that the magic feels like working, today - no guarantees, but one can always hope, and sometimes it works.

This is a media and comment blog. I will be talking about discussions I’ve been in on other people’s blogs, especially blogs hosted on Tumblr, and will upload a few videos. I’ll then link to here from my main blog, also hosted on Tumblr, and ask that you be patient with the glaring mismatch in styles, because that can’t be helped. I tried installing a matching theme on this blog, and it just wouldn’t take.

I’ll be linking from the main blog to this one - think of this as where many of the footnotes for the main blog go. I think that inserting posts about such discussions into the main body of one’s blog has a way of watering down the experience of visiting a blog, and this is my way of dealing with that problem. / Originally posted on Sept. 12, 2012 at 8:37 am at old location.

In case anybody looks in later and wonders what I was talking about in that first post - no, it didn’t work the way it should have. I attempted to cut and paste the html from one Tumblr blog to another to carry over the customizations, and this didn’t work so well.

Something to not try in the future, I suppose. / Repost from original location, first posted on Sept. 12, 2012 at 8:28 am.
