limited, then stay on each page for only a few seconds, it is in this short time that they either decide to continue reading a post or move on to another page. Therefore, you should put up the best of content on any blog to get readers hooked instantaneously. While going through your blog, if the readers get bored at any point, then they will simply navigate to another page. Therefore, to give a boost to your traffic and entice all web surfers visiting your web page keep in mind the few pointers given below.

1. Write for the audience
Always keep the interest of readers in mind before you pen down anything. Is this something that would interest them? Will they be looking for this information online? Determine the readers of your post beforehand and write something that the target audience will enjoy.

2. Proofreading
It is very important to go through what you have written before posting it. Content with grammatical mistakes, typos, and spelling errors appears shoddy and will make readers lose confidence in your writing; they will not be able to trust the information you have provided.

3. Be succinct
Do not beat around the bush, terse content is liked by all, so deliver your message using minimum words. If you give out too much information or repeat the same details, then readers will surely find it tiresome to go through your post.

4. Entertain
Only fun content that amuses people can hold their attention. Write in a lively conversational tone, use attention grabbing titles along with snazzy sub headings. An energetic tone with eye catching graphics like images and videos will make your post stand out. Use everyday jargon and commonplace expressions that grasp attention and avoid using clichés.

5. In depth information
The information provided should be comprehensive and thorough; answer all questions associated with the content such as the what, why, where, how and who. If the information is incomplete then the post will not make an impact on the readers.

6. Clarity
All content on the post should be easy to understand, get your message across with tremendous clarity; any ambiguity is bound to get your readers disinterested.

7. Structure the content
Do not write in a haphazard manner; put your thoughts into writing methodically. Never try to express more than one idea in a single sentence. A similar set of points should be clubbed together to form a paragraph. Smaller paragraphs with headings and subheading, listed entries, italicized or bold text are easier to read as visitors can easily skim and scan through such structured information.

8. Titles
The readers first notice the title, which is also the very first thing a search engine takes into consideration before ranking a web page. Therefore, put plenty of thought into constructing a title.

9. Links
Providing links attracts reader attention to a piece of information and also gives a boost to search engine optimization. Use optimal number of links, neither too less nor too many.

10. Keywords
Find keywords relevant to the subject matter you are going to upload and intersperse them in the content. Include keywords in titles, headings and subheadings to improve the ranking of your web page.

Wrap up
A well written blog gets to readers easily, if they thoroughly enjoy the content then web surfers will definitely keep coming back to your blog to get more information. While, searching for accurate and extensive information is a must, it should also be presented in a lucid and captivating way to leave all readers spellbound.
Since all businesses are going online these days, you need to have your business’s online presence. But just having a website is not enough. As your budget is small, you will not be able to splurge money on SEO and that means you will be lagging behind big boys forever. Thankfully, the picture is not that mush dismal with social media marketing. Social media marketing is not about ranking and all that, it is about engagement that you can easily achieve if you are serious about marketing. Here are going to share some tips that you can give a try.

The Real You
Like the rest of the others, you will be ever ready to post links of your website or blog or share some business tips occasionally in Facebook or twitter, but this is what others are doing. There is nothing innovative about it. Why not post something personal in your facebook or Google plus account. You can post whatever you are comfortable with. Like what you like to cook or where you have traveled last weekend. These updates will make you a real person with emotions attached. Since it is a small business, it will help you immensely stay connected to real people who might get transformed into customers.

Put Your best Foot Forward
As a small business owner, you know it very well that money is not the only constraint here, time is another factor too. So, it makes sense that you should focus on two or three social media websites rather than trying your hands on too many of them. Stick to Facebook and Google plus and you will sure have positive outcome. However, you are free to do some market research to find out which social media site has the highest concentration of targeted audience. Once you are done with analysis part, you should put all your focus, energy and money to plump up your presence.

Get Serious About Business
Since you are going to spend your valuable time in facebook, you should do everything possible in your hands to transform it into a lead generation machine. And for this, you need to have a unique facebook fan page with customization. And do not forget to use Like Gating as it will help you get some social love in the form of Facebook Likes. You can offer some giveaway in exchange of their email address and name. Once your database of email address starts expanding, you can send them mail, promotional of course, mentioning some cool deal or certain percentage of rebate on your service. This will help you a lot in getting some quick business leads.

Have a Great Design
A simple default facebook fan page or an ordinary looking twitter interface is certainly not going to help you. You need to make a point that you are investing some amount for designing a nice customized fan page or a background for twitter.

Create a Video
A short video is more effective than a long and boring article. It is less brain draining and asks little from the visitors. All they have to do is to press the play button. YouTube has certainly changed the way video has been used for marketing purpose. Make a point that you have a YouTube video channel and add some nice videos therein and you may be able to get some leads from there too.

Author Bio: Michael Evans is a passionate writer and he has been writing for Site2You which is an easy website builder. He has written different article on web design, online marketing and SEO. He is equally enthusiastic about latest gadgets.

Visit our home page SEO for Blog

3 Common Mistakes Made By First Time Bloggers

Every one is blogging these days. Odds are there aren’t even many grandparents left who haven’t been trained how to blog by their tech-savvy grandkids. Okay, while that might be a bit of an exaggeration, it is true that blogging is on its way to becoming the newest universal pastime since sleep.

As common as blogging is, there has to be a share of expected (and forgiven) mistakes being made out there by those new to the concept. While the list is miles long, most of them aren’t severe enough to create problems for bloggers-to-be. However, there are three common mistakes being made by first-time bloggers that can and will sink your dreams of e-readership.

You should read:

How to create a successful blog

5 tips to make blogging easier

How to write the perfect blog content

Maybe I’m biased, but I am labeling this must read before starting a blog.

NO AUDIENCE IN MIND
Novelist Kurt Vonnegut once said, “Write to please just one person. If you open a window and make love to the world, so to speak, your story will get pneumonia.” The same is true of blogging, and if you want your writing to stand a chance at gaining an audience, you need to write with that collective, potential readership as if they are the only person for whom you write.

The most common mistake bloggers make when starting out involves just writing all of their disconnected, scatter-shot ideas or thoughts. This might grab a few readers, but most are more likely to get confused or bored. When readers feel anything but joy to read your blog… that’s when readers stop reading.

This isn’t all to say that bloggers can’t just post their thoughts as they come to them – several do, and are quite successful, but these seemingly random thoughts need to contain consistent messages; they need to share some connective tissue, whether in tone or in subtext.

FAILURE TO BE AUTHENTIC
This is a boon of most humans unfortunately, and it is hard to overcome – especially when you want the world to read your blog. As traffic to your site will decide its fate, a blogger should never write anything that lacks authenticity just to get page hits.

Studies and surveys have shown that readers tend to leave blogs that loses its consistency, as well as its authenticity. The reasoning goes back to having that audience in mind, and in maintaining that relationship. If you don’t write political pieces, don’t write one just because it belongs to a “hot” story elsewhere. Again, this isn’t to say that you can’t make a post if the issue truly means something to you, but stay consistent in tone. If you can only write the piece in a tone your audience may not be accustomed to, make a note of the change before the body of the post begins.

If readers feel that you feel enough to inform them, they’re likely to forgive any rough patches in their eyes.

FAILURE TO NETWORK
It’s a lovely idea to think that readers will just find you on their own, but this is a foolish flight of fancy. I’m being very generous when I say that more than two blogs start every day, and that blogging has been around for a while. With that much content and only so many readers, you can’t expect them to come to you.

Blogging is a full time job that most of us never get paid for, but we do it any way. While it looks easy to those who don’t do it, there’s a great deal of self-promotion involved. This is why I always stress to bloggers the importance of getting your names out there, not just your work.

One of the best ways to do this is to guest post on other people’s blogs. Almost every site that accepts guest posts allows a guest to add a link to his or her blog in an author bio at the bottom of the piece. If your content is engaging, odds are readers will click on the link to your own blog. With this comes an unspoken rule, however: Never take this generous gesture for granted.

When submitting content to another blogger’s site, do him or her the favor of only submitting material you would be proud to post on your own site.

So, what do you think? Have any of you out there new to blogging seen an error you are guilty of committing? Did I leave anything out? Leave a comment or question below!
Just write what you want to and get paid for it. But after a period of time, blogging becomes more of an imposition and less of a desire. How do you keep writing without forfeiting quality? How do you keep the blog living and vibrant? Well, here are five tips on making blogging easier and more creative.

You should read:

6 basic blogging tips and tricks to improve your blog

3 steps to writing the perfect article

How to create a successful blog

1. Write what you love

If you love what you write, blogging won’t be an imposition. It’s only writing about things that are boring or repetitive to you that turns writing into something tedious. Don’t worry if your goals shift as the blog progresses, all real blogs do. You might start out concentrated on one topic and then be in an entirely different place a year later. Change is a natural process, so don’t fight it. Go with the flow and your writing will stay creative.

2. Write what you know

No matter how much you adore something, you can’t write valuable posts if you don’t know anything about it. I may love quantum mechanics, but that doesn’t make me eligible to write about it. If you really have a passion for a subject, study it before you start writing. It will make your writing more profound and you might discover some things that will change the way you think. Don’t add to the inanity of the web. Educate yourself.

3. Break it up

Even the most zealous writers get tired of writing about the same thing day in and day out. So break it up. Add a lighthearted post here and there. Your followers know that you are human, so don’t be scared to show it. One day you can just post a photo with a caption, the next a funny poem you like. Face it, some days you just don’t feel up to writing. Don’t freak out and don’t throw something together. Just take a breather.

4. Make it up

Some days everything just goes blank. One tip: start writing even if you don’t know what you’re going to say. You’ll think of something eventually, and editing out the crazy stuff is a lot more productive than sitting there staring at a blank screen. I know it might rub you the wrong way, but writing without a plan is a great way to get new ideas. If you get stuck, just write. You might start out with song lyrics, or a poem, or just a diatribe about the pointlessness of blogging. Whatever you start with, having your fingers on the keys is the point. If you get moving then it will come.

5. Pass it around

You are just burnt out. You don’t think you have anything left to write about. What do you do? I have two words for you: guest posts. Let other people say what you can’t. They don’t have to agree with you, either. Opinions lead to debate, and that’s great. The more involved your readers are, the more readers you’ll keep.

These are just five of the many, many tips for bloggers out there. It seems like a basic idea, but blogging can get to be a hassle. Get rid of the dullness and recover your drive. You started blogging for a reason, so get out there and find it again. Remember, don’t give up. It is always darkest before the dawn.

While any blogger can automatically be indexed into Google today just by installing a blogging platform and publishing their first article, the Yahoo search engine is a little more complex and requires some steps. When I just started my midphase and yahoo small business coupon blog I did a few things to increase the chances of my blog being indexed in Yahoo, and I will be sharing some of these things with you below.

The reality is that doing just one of these things can help your blog get indexed in Yahoo, and doing all of them can help accelerate the process of your blog getting ranked. Below are 3 ways to get your blog indexed in Yahoo.

Submit Your Blog to Yahoo
I know it sounds obvious, and there are people telling you that submitting your blog to the search engines is no longer necessary, but based on my experience, if you’re a new blogger with little to no links back to your blog the best way to get indexed is by submitting your blog to the Yahoo search engine itself.

This doesn’t guarantee that you will be indexed as there are criteria your blog has to meet, but if you have the patience, you will eventually end up getting indexed.

Get Links from Already Indexed Blogs
If the above doesn’t seem to work for you then you can go with this almost surefire approach to getting indexed in Yahoo.

Try to look for 3-5 sites already indexed and ranked well in Yahoo, look for a way to get your link on them (it can be in the form of a link exchange, a guest post on the blog, a blog comment or any other approach you can come up with), and wait a few days to get indexed. If you can get your link on a blog already indexed and ranked well by Yahoo then you can easily get indexed in a matter of days.

Pay to Get Listed in Yahoo Directory
The final option that is a surefire way to get indexed into Yahoo and other major search engines is to pay to get listed in the Yahoo directory. It can be a pretty smart decision if you have the money, and it is guaranteed for only $300 a year.

For anyone who’s looking to build a sizeable stream of income online, AdSense is one of the best available options. As far as advertisement options go, it’s one of the most reputable networks with a huge customer base; additionally, it’s extremely easy to implement.

Provided you have a website with good traffic, earning a good monthly check from AdSense can be as simple as placing the right ad units in the right locations.

For all webmasters who keep wishing their AdSense earnings were more substantial, this article should be useful. We’ve compiled the 5 most efficient and user-friendly techniques that will help you get some impressive results as an AdSense publisher.

Above the fold placement
Different websites have different ideal placements, and you should keep experimenting until you find what works best for you. Regardless of the fact, the single most universally efficient AdSense placement is above the fold (i.e. the area of your website that can be viewed without scrolling down).

The closer to the top of the page you place your ads, the more clicks they will attract. Also, the more seamlessly you blend in your ads units with your website design, the better it will work. Try to always look at your website from the standpoint of a visitor, and you’ll find it much easier to change the layout in a way that boosts your earnings.

Include custom search
Not too many AdSense publishers bother to set up a Google custom search in their websites, which is a shame. While this tool doesn’t work for all kinds of website, custom search can provide a nice boost to your revenues.

How do you know if this will work for you? Simple! If you have a search box in your website which your visitors are already using, you just have to switch it for a custom search engine that includes AdSense ads, and you’ll get plenty of extra clicks.

Use Link Units
Much like the custom search box, link units don’t work for every webmaster. But if you have a website with a navigation menu that visitors frequently use, you can rely on link units to improve your earnings. Just place this kind of unit next to the menu, and it till look just like a secondary navigation bar, meaning it will get plenty of clicks on a regular basis.

Build Organic Traffic
Asides from optimizing your AdSense placement (which is something you should keep doing until you find the sweet spot that works for you), there is much you can do to make sure your earnings keep rising every month. Most notably, you need to build up your organic traffic… simply because people coming to your website from Google are more likely to click your ads than anyone else!
The word doesn’t necessarily mean ‘unique’. To find a unique SEO strategy is much like trying to find a needle in a haystack. It’s a wasted attempt. Anything and everything happening on the World Wide Web is never a secret, even if you think it is. So, if you think you have a unique strategy at your disposal that can boost your SEO efforts, in a best case scenario, its exclusivity will remain in place say for a few days. But, someone somewhere is going to find your strategy, and use it, if it’s good enough. So, nothing is an exclusive as it sounds.

An incredible SEO strategy is all about leveraging the maximum potential out of a given SEO strategy and making use of it in the best way possible for your business.

Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO)
Conversion optimization, for many people, is not a part of SEO. But here’s a question. Why not make it a part of the SEO campaign. By doing so, you will be going one up over your competitors who don’t technically regard it as a part of SEO. Conversion rate optimization involves taking steps to ensure that rate of converting website traffic into paying customers is maximized as much as possible. This is achieved in many different ways including creating a website design that projects credibility and professionalism, using call to action buttons, understanding existing traffic resources and improving them, understanding visitors, improving user experience, projecting the strengths of the business and hiding its weakness and many more.

Implementing CRO techniques can be a game changer as far as the success of your website is concerned. At the end of the day, aren’t better sales figures the whole objective behind SEO? CRO helps you do just that.

Local Search Marketing
This is something that can be considered a relatively new development in SEO. The need to rank highly on the local search engine page results is not just restricted to small businesses but also big businesses and organizations. After all, a customer is a customer, and it doesn’t matter whether it’s a local customer or somebody who isn’t from the neighborhood. Local SEO is a potent mixture of organic local SEO, improving rankings in Google places, and local PPC advertising. The fact is that customers no longer go through yellow pages, classifieds, local newspapers or magazines to search for local businesses. What they use are the search engines like Google and Yahoo, more so Google. So, if your business isn’t on Google Maps or doesn’t find a mention on Yahoo local business listings, then it will be fair to say that your business is non-existent. So, even if your business is operational on a global level, it’s always a good idea no to ignore your local customers.

Social Medial Marketing
If you haven’t heard about how Facebook, Twitter and other social media sites are changing social networking, then you either are living in a cave or under a rock, all this while. Not only have these sites had a huge impact on the way we connect with friends and family, but they are also impacting search rankings. Google is increasingly putting more importance on content that is popularly being shared across the net and which is a hot topic of discussion. By creating interesting and relevant content, SEO experts can ensure that it’s shared through various social sites. This helps immeasurably in building links that are highly regarded by Google.Leveraging social media sites for improving web rankings is innovative and if used well, an incredibly effective SEO strategy.

Call them incredible or feasible or call them effective, if used well these tips will definitely help bring targeted traffic to your site.
Customers want immediate acknowledgement and resolution and are not willing to wait endlessly listening to the call Centre hold tune. Consumers want instant gratification even in customer services.

And now customer service has moved online with the advent and popularity of Social Media outlets. Smart and Savvy Businesses have started using the social media space to get closer to their customers and increase their service levels up a notch vis-à-vis the competition. Social Media brings the business closer to its consumers and gives a face and forum that if used imaginatively and promptly can provide huge benefits for the brand.

Based on a recent study, it has been found that consumers are more inclined to leave positive messages about the brand and will give some initial warning to the company before posting a negative comment. It is the job of the company and its social media manager to handle the negative comments with care so that they don’t cause major PR embarrassments.

Customers whose issues are addressed promptly will spread the positive word which can have a very effective viral effect as things travel fast in the social space. They will be your silent brand ambassadors and will spread the word and even help other consumers. A satisfied and happy customer is the aim and it helps in gaining the edge which each business wants.

Some tips for a business to use the social media space effectively are:

Speed of resolution
When a consumer posts an issue online, he expects instant response which should be done promptly. The issue being acknowledged in time is half the battle won as he feels that he has an ear and somebody is listening. If the response drags, then it has a negative effect on the brand. Don’t give the consumer time to start bad-mouthing.

Transparency and Visibility
Be transparent and post your response on the public space as it can help other customers as well. It can become a great resource for future reference and a guide point for other customers who will refer to the link or post. Join the conversation and see how the consumers talk about your brand.

Reliable and Constant
If a query has been posted on different social platform, the response should be the same and consistent throughout so as not to confuse the customers. Service should be consistent throughout to promote brand recognition and loyalty.

Efficient Social Media Management
The staff managing the social media platforms needs to be organized and have a common vision and goal so that they do not speak in different voices on different platform. Always remember that the consumers are very smart and will catch you in a jiffy. Each team member should be on the same page and the company should present a united face and picture.

The social media managers should always keep the conversation informal and acknowledge the person. They need to build a connection with the customer. The whole experience should be interactive and not intimidating.

Social Media provides a huge market for the brands and it gives them the ability to turn consumers into brand ambassadors which pay you money and promote your business as well. It is a win-win situation for all provided it is used effectively and proactively.
The reason is that SEO technique of ‘link baiting’ and viral content has certain common features and purposes. Therefore, if you already know certain basic SEO techniques, it would be simpler for you to prepare the viral content.

2. Know the current trends
For creating a viral marketing campaign, you need to discover an idea that people will love sharing with their friends. One popular technique is to search for latest trends. Of course, this does not mean that you will blindly pick out the first trend that you come across and use it in your campaign forcibly.

To choose the best trend, select few recent ones. Opt for brainstorming sessions for picking out the trend that complements your business. If you have a website design company, for example, choose an idea related to web design.

To ensure that your campaign is successful, select an idea that interests you. This will encourage you to add more intriguing features to the content, thus attracting attention of millions of users.

3. Simplify the process of sharing
Sharing is a critical aspect of viral marketing. If your readers find the process of sharing content complicated, chances are high that your campaign will fail. Therefore, to ensure success of your campaign, it is your duty to simplify the process of sharing content.

Incorporating social networking buttons in web pages is a great idea. You can also opt for social sharing plugins for encouraging readers to share your content at social networking sites. Examples of few great plugins can include ShareThis, Add to Any, and Sociable.

4. Allow customers to connect with you
The main purpose of viral marketing campaign is to create awareness about your product or services. Therefore, every time you publish any content, ensure that it contains a link that connects users with your home page. Remember that if customers are unable to connect with you, even a popular content may fail after a certain point of time.

Finally, be patient. Do not expect your content to go viral immediately. Remember that sometimes, trends take time to gain popularity. Implement the above-mentioned ideas and maintain a positive outlook.
All the best!

As a blogger, I bet you spend a major share of your time marketing and promoting your blog in other to gain a wide audience. Of course, this audience you’ll share you unique tips with and may make them become your customers in the future.

Since I’ve been investing a bigger part of my time marketing and promoting my coupon blog that features weight watchers discounts and diet to go discounts, I’ve learnt a few interesting marketing tips from business people and I want to share some of them with you. I hope you’ll learn a few things that you can relate your blogging with and use them to market your blog.

Embrace Social Media
Business is all about socializing. Whether you agree with that fact or not, a lot of businessmen I’ve met in my journey to find true marketing skills have told me how they close deals just by socializing with people. Your business should not just be all about you being a geek. You’d want to show the social side of yourself and use it to market your blog.

Social media is a great way to socialize with people in this fast age of information. You have Facebook and twitter at the tips of your fingers. The time you spend on these two social networking sites each day, if you could use half of that same time and talk about your blog and your business concept to others, I bet you’ll be moving your blog forward.

Use Local Listing Services
Again, technology advancement is making things easier for marketers and bloggers. You would want to take advantage of the search engine giants on the internet and use their local listings to market your blog.

Google Places is a great fun tool for that. Register your business on Google places and you’ll see your business appearing easily in Google searches and also on Google Map. The same goes for Yahoo! and Bing. Using the three local listing services will help upgrade your blog and give it a business-like look, also increasing your search engine traffic along the line.

You Don’t want to Miss out on SEO
You probably have been doing search engine optimization or SEO for your blog. SEO helps your blog rank in search engines for particular keywords. I’m sure a lot of you are not new to SEO. But if you are yet to start doing it, I can assure you that you can gain a lot if you should start doing it.

There are many ways to optimize your blog for search engines. You can have featured articles on blogs, write guest posts for bloggers (this article you are reading is an example of a guest post) and blog commenting also improves your SEO.

Join a community or Forum
Joining a community is a known thing to many businessmen. They know that joining a community of like-minded folks can make a difference in their business career.
Following this method can really help bloggers. Form a group of bloggers, this you can do by registering yourself in a forum. Then always contribute useful tips to help people in the forum and make yourself known to them.

How do you benefit from this? You can always share what you have from your blog on these forums. For example, if someone needs a help and you have covered the answer to that topic on your blog once before, you can just post the link to it on the forum. You are helping the fellow out and also building backlinks to your blog.

About the Author: John Edget is a review writer who pens on blog marketing and on products review like weight watchers promotion code and diet to go coupon codes. Communication technology has advanced with amazing rapidity over the past decade or two. Let's look at four communication advancements that have completely changed the way businesses operate:

1. Smartphones
I know, this is an obvious one, but it really has to be at the top of our list. We all know that smartphones allow us to have our essential computer files and phone with us 24-7; it's the virtual equivalent of sitting at our office desk without ever taking a break. However, creative use of a smartphone goes much further. Here are just a few applications:

Capture ideas: During a meeting with a client, an idea for a new project or product comes to mind. Use your phone to capture the idea and send it to your team.

Track your time: Use your phone to keep an accurate record of billable time or time spent on different projects so you can accurately access costs.

Follow your inventory: Apps exist that give you access to real time inventory numbers. With this information you won't make promises you can't fulfill.

Be artistic: There are numerous apps for photo manipulation and drawing/painting. When you get the inspiration for that new logo or label, capture your idea.

2. E-Book readers
The boom in e-readers has completely changed the face of publishing. Business hasn't yet fully embraced or capitalized on this technology, but it's easy to see that product literature and corporate information can easily be converted to the various e-reader formats. Company reps often give books away to their clients. With e-books this process can be made much easier and more economical.

3. Social media
If there ever was a "catch all" phrase in the world of technology and computing, it would have to be "social media." It's everything from a 140-word tweet to in-depth wiki sites. It also includes blogs and sites like Facebook, of course. Business professionals are developing creative and compelling new ways to make these tools part of the customer relationship management arsenal. They are a great way to keep in constant contact with customers, learn about their needs and preferences, and let customers know that their input is valued.

4. Graphic, media and presentation software
Ever heard of Genigraphics? It was a graphics machine that took up a small room and could output images to film. It paved the way for companies like Corel and Adobe, which quickly made the Genigraphics machine obsolete. Today, virtually everyone can create effective media presentations and they can be displayed in a variety of ways. PowerPoint and similar software packages can create presentations for viewing in trade show booths, uploading to Youtube and emailing to your grandparents. Communicating via this marriage of words, images, graphs and movies was something only Fortune 500 corporations could afford not too long ago. Does your business have a Youtube channel? Many companies are finding it a great way to communicate with existing customers as well as draw in prospects.

Are you taking advantage of these communication technologies to their maximum potential?

About The Author: David Ching is a marketing strategist for EQA Office furniture, a San Francisco based office furniture retailer.

Pre-schedule your work
Map out the posts you need to write each week. If possible, try to combine similar topics to minimize your research time. Take advantage of the scheduling features of blogs to free up your week by releasing posts you write in advance.

Prioritize your work according to results
Face it – lists never end. Get into the habit of avoiding 'busy work' or doing work simply for the act of doing work itself. If it doesn't make you money, increase your readers, or open immediate doors to do either, place it lower on the to-do list.

Turn off social media when you work
Distractions will come your way, especially from people who may not see your time as valuable. Social media is incredible, but it can keep you from meeting your goals when it's time to work. Once you gather the necessary online information, log off – Avoid Facebook, Twitter, and chatting. Don't fool yourself by thinking you can multi-task, because all you'll end up with is time wasted and second-rate results to show for it.

Delegate anything you can
Your time is precious and should be spent doing what brings in clients and funds. Make sure to delegate anything you can. If you have aspects of your blog that are standardized, have someone else do it if you can.

Use the right plugins for your blog
I cannot stress this point enough. Technology is at your fingertips, so use it to give yourself an advantage. Search Engine Optimization (SEO), pinging, encouraging readers to interact and leave comments, interlinking articles and even an automated system that sends out thank you notices are all beneficial. Check out time saving Wordpress Plugins like:

HeadSpace2 SEO

Thank Me Later

SEO Smartlinks

Tweet Old Posts

Backup Buddy

The 'Email Hour'
The human brain has about an hour downtime somewhere between noon and 2p.m. each day and for many of us, our productivity dips during this time. Why not change gears and make this the time you check the mail and run an errand or two? By the time you're done you'll have your second wind, your mind will be fresh and ready for round two.
A related posts plugin displays a stylish list of suggestions for what your readers should view next. Using a related posts plugin is an extremely useful tool in building up the success of your website.

Here are some benefits of using the nRelate Plugin:
1. Improve your site's statistics: keep readers on your site longer, decrease bounce rate, and increase page views. All this leads to a more successful website.

2. Maximize the impact of your page's content. Get the most out of all your blog posts - past and present - when your reader's re-visit past stories based on the plugin's suggestions.

3. Networking options. If you want, you can choose to include related posts from any partner sites you might have (aka your blogroll) along with your own content in the plugin's display. This is especially useful if you run more than one site, as you can use this plugin as a tool for cross promotion.

Another option is to use the nRelate plugin to earn some revenue via their ad network -- an example of how this feature looks is included below.

4. Other goodies from nRelate: the plugin is run from their own servers, so it won't slow down your site. Another plus is that (unlike LinkWithin and other related posts plugins) it doesn't redirect users through their site when they click a link -- so the link juice is all yours to keep.

nRelate offers many super easy customization options (with no extra coding on your part!) including thumbnail styles which can make you page look great. Here are some examples:

nRelate Default Style:
As previously mentioned, you can choose to use nRelate's ad network to make money. This feature is free and completely optional, and you can opt to turn it off at any time. You can also choose the number of ad spaces you want to display. It looks pretty good, fitting seamlessly and tastefully into the rest of your related posts. Here is an example:

This plugin is free and super easy to install for Blogger, WordPress, and Tumblr. They also have a beta version available for other platforms.

How to Install nRelate on Blogger
Step 1: Register and sign in at partners.nrelate.com. Select your blog's platform (Blogger, WordPress, or Tumblr) and 'Install'. You also need to register if you want to customize the plugin.

Step 2: You can customize your plugin on the partners.nrelate.com site's main settings page. This is where you choose things like thumbnail size and how many posts you want to display (up to 10). You can change the text "You May Also Like -" to whatever you want it to say, which is cool. You can also choose if you want the widget to appear on your blog's homepage or just on individual blog posts (or both).

For Blogger, this page explains how to get all the thumbnail themes: partners.nrelate.com/blogger-style-gallery. (It's even easier if you're using WordPress, you install and customize the nRelate plugin directly from the WP platform.)

Step 3: You're done! Their servers start analyzing your blog content and the plugin shows up on your site after 2 hours.
Several successful bloggers make five to six figure incomes each month from their blogs. Blogging, just like anything else online takes time and consistent effort to show results. One of the key aspects of being a successful blogger is to write quality and interesting blog content on a regular basis. So, how can we write great blog content? There is a lot of information available online about writing the perfect blog content. Most of this is just fluff and is not helpful in creating quality blog content.

If you want to be successful with blogging you need to work towards driving traffic to your blog. An important step in getting traffic to your blog is to produce quality information for your blog on a consistent basis.

You should read: 3 Steps to Writing the Perfect Article

Here are a few tips to help you write the perfect blog content:

Fill your with high quality information
Quality is a relative term and may have different meanings for different people. The easiest way to consistently produce quality information with your blog posts is to keep your blog visitors in mind. You can gather feedback from your visitors through polls, questionnaire etc to have an idea of the information that they are looking for. You can accordingly write your blog content and offer them interesting and valuable information regularly.

Don’t pepper readers with promotional offers
Many people blog with the aim of earning money from blogging. Blogging is certainly a great way to make money online but you need to follow a few blogging etiquettes. You should not annoy your readers by continuously trying to sell something. When you keep providing quality information through your blog you will gain loyal subscribers over a period of time. When you have won their trust and confidence they will buy stuff from you and boost your blog revenue.

Keep your blog posts short and informative
Blog posts should be short and informative for best results. Most people have an attention span between 5 to 15 minutes and long blog posts may never be read at all.

Interact with your readers or followers
Interacting with your readers or followers is another powerful technique to get traffic to your blog and make it a popular blog in your niche. You can leave a comment box or feedback form to gather information about their preferences. This will help you produce blog content which would be of great use to your blog readers.

You can follow the above tips and produce blog content which is both interesting and valuable for your visitors. Writing great content for your blog is vital for getting traffic and improving earnings for your blog.
You've done everything the right way: you've got a personalized domain name, you've got a layout that's clean and easy to navigate, and you've got a regular blogging schedule. What you don't have, though, is a steady stream of readers.

It's worth doing a self-inventory of your blog to discover its strengths and weaknesses. But your problem might be bigger than you think: how often do you update your blog? And are you updating with fresh, timely content? If your blog posts aren't great, that great layout and those pretty graphics won't help you much. It's what you write that matters most on your blog—so your content has to be great too.

Be a trendwatcher
Being able to write about the most current topics requires that you know what those topics are. So, find thought leaders on Twitter to follow, and set up an RSS feed to keep up on what's trending on blogs—which may not be the same topics that are trending on Twitter, Facebook, or Tumblr. Keeping yourself informed about what's going on in the blogosphere will help guide you toward writing more current and newsworthy content.

Invite guest bloggers
Allowing guest posts on your blog can serve several purposes: guest posts allow you keep your content fresh, and to offer your readers different points of view. Get your friends and fellow bloggers to help you brainstorm ideas and to engage your readers in discussion of topics you might not know much about yourself. The more diversity you can provide your readers, the more eager they'll be to return to your blog again and again. You can sign up for mailing lists like Blogger LinkUp to find bloggers who are looking to provide content, as well as blog owners looking for content for their own blogs.

Connect your social media sites
From posting on Tumblr to tweeting, making sure your readers know where else they can find you on the web is a good way to build your personal brand. It doesn't take much time to post tweets or Facebook updates, and you can use those social media outlets to promote your blog. Your online presence is important, and pointing potential readers to your material is a good way to engage readers.

Learn to code
This is the best way to ensure you don't get burned if you have someone build a website for you—and doing your own maintenance is a good way to save money. You can either use books or find online training courses to help you learn the basics of coding. Having control over your content is important, but having full control of your entire website is just as important.

Running a blog takes more than just good visuals: you must provide great content, listen to your readers, make a place for yourself on social media sites, and take responsibility for your website. But it's the content that should be your top priority. There are millions of blogs out there, and what you write has to be good enough to keep your readers from going elsewhere.
In fact, a number of modern-day internet-age Nostradamuses dropped prediction after another that the death of article marketing is inevitable and which didn't bode well for the entire online writing community.

If you're using articles to promote your website, business, products, services or even yourself through article marketing then this might have given you the impression that all your hard work has gone to waste. But before you go out and start wallowing in despair, let us first take a closer look into article marketing and what its future holds for SEO.

Is article marketing extinct?
In my opinion, the simple answer is a big "NO." Article marketing continues to be one of the best online advertising methods and remains to be essential for any link building strategy. If article marketing is really dead then how could you explain thousands of article writing jobs posted daily on freelance websites such as Freelancer, Elance and even in Craigslist?

If article marketing is really dead then how can you explain the thousands of articles being submitted daily to article submission sites? Article marketing isn't dead – the rules were just altered. The cheese was just moved, it's up to you whether you'll cry over spilt milk or adapt accordingly to the new changes that Google has introduced with its Panda update.

Panda Changes
Google's latest game changer aims to penalized websites with low quality and duplicate content. This, while at the same time improving the rankings of websites that feature excellent content. Highlighting articles that are more relevant to Google searches, basically what the average Google searcher wants to get from his/her Google search.

The Google Panda Update also penalized websites that utilize black hat SEO techniques such as excessive keyword stuffing, spamming, links farms, and mass-article publications.

Coping with the Panda
If you've lost a significant amount of your usual Internet traffic due to Google's Panda Update then you could go out the easy option and leave article marketing behind or try to cope with changes of the latest update. However, if you choose the second option, there are a lot of things that you should put in mind.

First and foremost to remember is that no black hat SEO is going to reward you. Black hat SEO is simply outright unfair to your fellow webmasters. Learn to write excellent quality articles is the best way to maximize the potential of your article marketing efforts. Writing exclusively for search engines is a thing of the past. What you should do is to learn how to write for the average Internet user. Research your niche market or your industry and familiarize yourself with what people in your niche market/industry wants.

Content is always king and learning how to write your own high quality content is vital in today's post-Panda era – an era wherein the rules of article marketing has been altered. Besides Google is not the only search engine out there. You may have lost some steam over at Google but your Yahoo and Bing stats will always be there to bring you some traffic.

In this post, I will be showing you few tips that I used when promoting my seo, blogging and adsense related tech blog www.techncom.net, so that you too can do use of it to help better your blog performance in terms of visitors.

Here are three helpful free marketing techniques that you can apply to get more traffic to your website and blog without spending a coin.

Declare Blog Commenting Contest
People always love to have free things and your opportunity of getting them to visit your blog for the free offer you can give can drive them to become your regular readers on the long term. There are many other bloggers that have been using this method for a very long run, it has worked for their blog, and why you can not try it out? Since you know, you can get your desired outcome, then go for it and begin to change the way your blog performs for more SEO benefits.

Declare Guest Post Contest
Guest posting contest is a superb way by which you can get more visitors coming to read your blog post every day. Particularly if your blog has a high rank, you can get more guest bloggers in your niche to submit guest post for your blog. Best way of doing this is to declare in your post that you are giving away a special prize to the best guest post on your blog at a specific time, and you will start to see the difference in your blog performance.

There are many bloggers who really looking for blogs to submit guest posts and if they can get to know you have better good deal for them, they will surely come, guest post for your blog, and thereby gaining your search engine authority and theirs too.

Declare Free Giveaways
Free Giveaways is one of the greatest ways that I have ever used since the time I started blogging is by declaring free giveaway offer on my own software promotions blog, and instantly, people started running play to my blog to comment and to do all sorts of things which I said them to do in order to win my gift.

Make sure that you share free content and ideas with visitors and you will get them returning back to your blog everyday.

Visit our home page SEO for Blog

When Guest Posting is a Waste of Time

There’s no denying how beneficial guest posting can be when it comes to increasing blog traffic. And there are hundreds of articles out there encouraging you to guest post for others and touting the benefits of it. However, it’s not always helpful, in fact sometimes it can be just the opposite. So how do you determine when guest posting will work for you and when it’s a waste of your time?

1. The blog doesn’t appeal to your target audience
If you’re writing a guest post for a blog that doesn’t relate to your website at all, why are you doing it? The point of guest posting is to draw readers over to your site in an effort to increase your traffic. If you’re appealing to people that are interested in something completely different than what you regularly blog about then it’s likely that, while you may experience a spike in traffic right away, the readers won’t stick, thus making it a waste of your time.

2. You aren’t interested in putting in the time
If you aren’t going to write a quality post for someone and it’s just something you’ve quickly slapped together, it’s likely going to end up being a waste of time for both you and the blogger you’re writing for. You need to be willing to give your best work to guest posting for it to be effective.

3. You don’t offer anything on the other end
Writing a stellar guest post is great, but if you want the increased traffic to your site to stick you need to make sure that there’s great content sitting on your website as well so that people are intrigued by your site and keep coming back. If they’re met with poorly written content they likely won’t return.

4. You don’t respond to the comments
You have a unique opportunity with guest posts to not only meet a new audience, but also to interact with them. You should always respond to comments left on your guest post to show the readers that you value their input on your post. This will help to ultimately draw them to your site and convert them into regular readers.

5. You don’t give any attention to your author bio
Writing an engaging and interesting author bio is an easy way to snag some attention for your blog. You have a chance to showcase what you have to offer over at your blog in that little space, so don’t neglect it and leave it with lackluster content, instead beef it up and make it shine!

Guest posting can be a great tool or it can blow up in your face. Only guest post if you’re willing to put forth your best efforts; otherwise you’ll end up lending zero credibility to yourself and losing a chance to gain a new audience.

The first of these allows for companies to track extended user activity of their FB page, while the second offers a premium ad pack to capitalize on the information garnered. In what appears to be a heightened exchange of besting between Google and Facebook, increased interest in brand analysis could spread to other social media sites.

People Talking About This
For Facebook page administrators, a new feature, "People Talking About This," has been added to the Insights Dashboard, substantially increasing the data available to users. The new metrics include information about, as Facebook states, "The number of unique people who have created a story about your Page in the last seven days." More specifically, if someone Likes you page, comments on you page, answers a question you've posed, checks in or recommends your page during a given week, you'll now about that activity. It's essentially a means of tracking how Friends of Friends are responding to your advertising efforts.

Ad Pack
While many a brand was initially attracted to Facebook because it was free and easy to use, the social media platform is hoping that companies will be willing to pay for targeted ads, especially since those companies can track their marketing ROI with the new metrics. This new service allows for a brand page's activity to be listed on a user's Facebook page in a window. The activity, generated when a brand shares an ad or video on their profile, appears in the window of Friends of that brand's page and those in the user's Friends lists, adding to the likelihood of a favorable buying inclination.

Trending?
It is tempting to speculate on the implications of Facebook's latest marketing discernments vis-à-vis social media. Some sites have openly pondered whether the next updates to Google Analytics will incidentally include an extension to the degrees of separation tracked for brand engagement on the web. The same can be said about other sites like Linkedin and Twitter, both anxious to better monetize their own sites.

In business schools, as new methods of marketing are being written and implemented before a single course is completed, how will the ability to track an expanding social media interest and then optimize that knowledge for sales be taught? For a student now completing their online MBA the likelihood that they're actually out in the workforce dealing with such rapid changes may provide some direction for others trying to absorb innovation.

For today's PR or marketing force, though, these opportunities have been driven by their demands for this perspective on how entire spheres of influence respond to a brand. Facebook is arguably the biggest social media firm to hear these calls, but other platforms are almost certain to attempt providing such data. This voice of the market may produce some impressive results in a very short time.
But like start up businesses it is common for a blog to get started, be starved for readers and then die out. And one way to avoid that fate is to make your blog genuinely informative.

And if you have a nice template for writing an informative blog post then it becomes simple to inform people about issues, products and services. And i want to show you one such method that works very well.

And this uses the FAB approach. In a FAB approach the F stands for feature, the A stands for advantage and the B stands for the benefit. It is a simple and elegant way to present information that the reader finds is very easy to digest. Let me illustrate with the help of an example. Say you want to inform people about a car aftermarket product called cold air intake.

In the FAB method first I must mention the key feature of cold air intakes. And that is its ability to get cold air quickly and directly to your car's engine without allowing it to heat up much at all in the engine compartment.
Next I need to tell you the advantage that is the result of this feature. And the advantage is since now the engine gets cold air which is denser than hot air, more air gets into the combustion chamber, which means more oxygen is available for burning the fuel and so the fuel gets burnt more completely.

Finally I should tell you about the ultimate benefit that you derive. And that is that with better fuel burning you get more power in every stroke of your car's engine and you get better fuel efficiency as well.

This method makes it easy to write informative articles and to read them. And your blog will be able to spread knowledge efficiently. So next time you are thinking about a blog post, try out the FAB method. Happy blogging!
At the same time, contrary to popular belief, I also spend a good amount of time outdoors, on the street, in stores, and at coffee shops. Often times, whether in my browser or out and about, I come across various things that give me ideas for blogging posts. And the way that I record these ideas – so that I have them at the most optimal times when I begin writing blog posts – is through a combination of using Evernote on my smartphone and Diigo on my browser.

Evernote for When I’m Out and About
As a blogger, I carry my netbook around with me almost everywhere. However, I still sometimes don’t have it available when an idea for a post strikes me. Often times I will get ideas for posts in the middle of a conversation with a friend, where it might be considered rude to have a netbook out and open. However, I’ve found it perfectly sensible to say, “Hey, you just gave me the perfect idea for a blog post. Mind if I jot it down?”

From here, you have a variety of different options with Evernote. You could record it by voice if you’d like or just type it into Evernote with the keypad on your phone. If you’re a pen and paper kind of person, you can jot down the idea on a notepad, napkin, or whatever you have around. Then open the Evernote app, snap a photo of the note, and pull it back up from Evernote whenever you need it. I also find myself snapping photos of electronics I’d like to buy, potential ideas for gifts, and receipts for products that I buy that I think I may return.

The best part about Evernote is that, even though I’m recording all these notes and ideas with my phone, Evernote records them on their own servers in the cloud. This way, when I’m finally at a computer ready to write a blog post, I can access my notes that I recorded on the fly through Evernote.

Diigo for When I’m on my Browser
Diigo is essentially a social bookmarking web application, similar to delicious and other online bookmarking sites. What really puts Diigo ahead of the competition for me is the many extra features they offer that are actually useful.

Like most social bookmarking services, they offer organization tools like descriptions, tags, and even lists to help group and organize your bookmarks. But they also offer a “Read later” marker that I find to be extremely useful as well for that material you think will be interesting or useful but you don’t have time to read at the moment.

The biggest selling point of Diigo for me is the in-browser note-taking utility of the web app. When I’m really close-reading an article for research for a post, I can use Diigo to highlight sections of text in four different colors as well as leave sticky notes in the margins of the site at specific locations. If I close the browser and reload the page, Diigo will remember my notes and put them back on the page when it reloads. Best of all, Diigo has easy-to-use extensions for Chrome and Firefox.

Take Away
As you can image, the ease of writing a blog post increases exponentially with these research and note-taking tools at your disposal. It has increased my blogging productivity and output to levels I could never have imagined before using them. Any blogger looking for better ways to research and remember ideas for posts should look no further than these tools.

SQL and XML are Important, along with Java
There are quite a few things to learn before you start with your Mobile Application Development. First of all, you need to learn a bit of SQL (structured query language). The android user interface depends heavily of SQLite, which makes it important for you to have a clear idea and operating knowledge of the same.

Database integration is an important factor for Android applications as it makes these applications more robust. This enables the Android OS to not fail even if the battery fails accidentally; the information goes through enough caching, which adds better efficiency to the applications.

At the same time, you need to acquire a working knowledge of the various visual editing tools for XML. It is important that you understand the limitations of these tools and develop a clear understanding of how the Android XML schema works. Basic XML knowledge will enable you to sail through this smoothly.

You would also need to accustom yourself with Java and Eclipse to see the most come out of your development efforts.

Learn Automated Testing
Testing is also an important part of Application Development for Android based mobile phones. Make sure you are testing the application in an effective way, ensuring that nothing crashes or malfunctions runtime.

Other User Friendly Features
A few other considerations help users get the best experience from the application you develop. First of all, ensure that the application you develop requires minimum power and goes easy with the battery life of the mobile phone. This is an important point to consider.

Next, the user-interface needs to be simple and easy to use. Don’t develop something that the user may find to tough and complicated to work with. Be original and unique, and don’t settle down for easy and cheap imitations of the other available applications in the market.

Finally, once you have been through the Mobile Application Development process, ensure that you market the product properly over the internet. Try to get the maximum feedback on your product, ensuring that it is genuine. This will help you in the future with your other projects involving Application Development for Android based mobile phones.
If you haven’t heard of this term, then WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?!? Crowdsourcing refers to hiring a lot of people for a task that’s normally done by an individual. It’s slowly gaining momentum, and is fast becoming one of the most popular buzzwords in many online companies today. The reason is simple: it has saved them a lot of money time and time again. So maybe you’re as skeptic as a tight peanut butter jar; but you’ll believe us after reading these seven companies who used it for their business model—and actually succeeded.
PickyDomains.com
Finding a domain name is easy; but finding the right one for your company is way more difficult. Enter PickyDomains—the site who will do the hard work for you. Just deposit $50 and give exactly what you want (such as keywords, extension, and desired length)—and you’re all done. All you have to do is wait for their 44,000 “virtual wordsmiths” to come up with the right name especially made for you. Once you find a good one, 40-60% of your payment will go to that lucky person who made the suggestion. But here’s the juicy part: you get your money back if you didn’t get to choose a name; it’s as simple as that. PickyDomains also does slogans, so you should definitely check them out.

99designs.com
Want something pretty and inexpensive? Go to 99Designs.com. This site will do everything for you, from creating logos to buttons—to even web designing. The minimum fee for a project is $150, with 40,000 designers wanting to do the project for you. So all you “we-charge-by-the-hour” digital artists can go straight back to their little drawing boards—and sulk.

istockPhoto.com
When it comes to stock photographs, audio clips, and video footages, iStockPhoto.com does it best. It’s not your typical website, but if your work involves a lot of media, then this crowdsourcing resource would definitely be good for you. It’s less ideal, however, when it comes to their strange credit system; but if you’re willing to overlook that, then everything will be smooth-sailing for you until the end.

Microworkers.com
Microjobs, anyone? No, it’s not a software; it’s actually another crowdsourcing resource you can use with anything that needs social participation. Let’s say you posted a YouTube video and wanted it to have a lot of votes. What you do is hire Microworkers.com to hire individuals to add the votes for you (10 cents per upvote). Similarly, you can ask their team of “microjobbers” to leave comments in your blog, add your site to social bookmarks, or even make you a “friend” in a Facebook or Twitter account. Yes, this might cause the wrath of moral purists, but hey, it’s better than hiring fake paparazzi to follow you around—like some female reality stars do from time to time (Sshh!).

RedesignMe.com
Do you feel like throwing your existing project out of your window? Maybe RedesignMe.com can help. They will scrap everything inch by inch and put your project back together again. They also offer other services, like creative consulting, market research, knowledge management, and many more. What you’re doing here basically is hiring the help of outsiders to become co-creators of your product or service. And who knows what might come up when you share ideas together?

Poptent.com
Tired of those nasty ad agencies who ask you to pay gargantuan sums of money just to get some exposure? Then Poptent is here to the rescue. The site prides itself as the best social network for animators, actors, commercial videographers, and directors. What’s more, you only need to shell out $5,000-$10,000 to get an ad spot that even Madison Avenue will really like.

LiveOps.com
Picture a call center that’s not a call center—that’s LiveOps.com. They let you hire individuals to receive and make calls for you. The company has a screening process that gets the best people on the job; what’s more, they offer competitive rates, so the free agents are happy. And we all know that happy callers mean satisfied customers.
