CSS preprocessors transform simplified shorthand styles into robust CSS, enhancing the coding process and saving you time. Easy to use, the result is a more aesthetically pleasing website. While there are tons of CSS preprocessors out there, they are not all created equally. User preference and task type, can make all the difference in the world. We’ve put together an overview of the four leading preprocessors to help you make an informed decision.
Meta-language Sass offers an extensive array of abilities and features. It works seamlessly with every version of CSS, so you can use any CSS library. The Sass community is an active one that spurs on the development of improvements and bug fixes – a major asset in preprocessors.
With Sass there are multiple ways to save on the time you spend writing styles. You can use Sass in conjunction with the Compass, Susy, Bourbon, and many other frameworks, which can cut down on the amount of code you need to write. You can also nest selectors in order to create clean code more efficiently. Sass also allows users to easily declare custom functions, allowing for cleaner code that is modular.
The downside is that Sass has a lot of unnecessary characters in its syntax. It also only compiles in Ruby or libSass.
Less is an easy to use choice in preprocessors for those looking for advanced features that don’t require learning a new syntax. With Less, you can prototype quickly and see results fast because processing can be done client side. Yet it is stable enough for production environments because it can also be compiled on servers.
A great tool for both mathematical functions and loops or custom functions, Less possesses well-organized and detailed documentation. This CSS preprocessor has everything you need with modern mixins and features, including variable, color functions, and nesting. In addition, the Less community is helpful and active, and there are a variety of GUI apps that practically do the coding for you.
The negative side of Less is that its conditionals have limited support and there are no custom functions. It also has some confusing aspects because it uses the @ symbol to declare variables, even though the symbol is already used in CSS for imports, leading to confusion by those attempting to decipher the code.
Post-processor Jade is a great fit for working with complex HTML code. The shorter, clean syntax is convenient and allows you to type faster. It is high-performance and easy to use with helpers and filters users appreciate. Powerful Jade is ideal for those attempting to decrease processing requirements or save space.
Stylus is a meta-language that is cleaner and has more flexible syntax that the competition. You can choose to use semicolons, colons and braces or write code without them. Stylus supports features from other preprocessors, such as Less and Sass, increasing its versatility. Reusable styles are common with Stylus.
Stylus is a good option for mathematical functions and loops or custom functions. Because it runs on Node.js, it is easy to integrate in projects when using npm. Stylus has an impressive array of mixins and is compatible with a variety of mixins libraries. Error reporting from Stylus is thorough and clear, that includes important details such as line numbers and stack traces.
While Stylus is less popular than some of the other preprocessors in our list, it is also younger than the others. That means that the community is less active than the communities supporting Sass and Less.
With so many options in CSS preprocessors, it only makes sense to try out a few before you choose the right one for you. While you may have fallen into using one because it was recommended to you, or was already in use at your workplace, test out a couple of others to see how they feel for you. You might just find one that saves you time and delivers better results.

Sadly, the short answer is NO.
Anyone who’s owned multiple consoles from different generations would love their current console have the ability to play their old game libraries from previous consoles. But sadly, you can’t play your PS3 Games on your PS4, and it’s for obvious reasons.
Why can’t the PS4 play PS3 games?
First reason would be from a technological point of view, as the PS4 and PS3 are two very different systems.
The PS3 uses a cell processor, and it was supposed to help the console handle large workloads needed to run next-generation video games. But the cell processor design was very hard to work with, and many developers did not like the new technology and even spoke critically against it.
And the PS4 was designed with the game developers in mind, this time Sony wasn’t taking any chances and made sure that the PS4 would be easy to work with so it would be more attractive to all developers, not just from big game developers but also to attract indie game devs. This was a lesson Sony learned the hard way during the PS3 launch.
So having very different technologies, the PS4 would need an emulator in order to run PS3 games, this was something Microsoft did when they introduced backwards compatibility for the Xbox One.
But why did not Sony follow the steps Microsoft did to address this issue?
Sony has even stated that this isn’t something they are even considering at the moment. But we’ll get into more of that later.
Second reason would be from a business point of view, allowing the PS4 to play PS3 games would cannibalize any potential PS3 sales, people would opt to buy the newer PS4 instead of the PS3 since aside from being able to play the latest games coming out for the PS4, PS3 games would be playable on the PS4 anyway. So in theory, that would be mean a death sentence for the PS3.
Even though presently, the PS4 is clearly the console of choice for majority of gamers, the PS3 still saw around 1.34 million units sold worldwide in 2015. And Sony surely would not want those sales figures to stop.
So there’s absolutely no chance of me being able to play PS3 games on the PS4?
Yes there is a way.
How to play PS3 games on PS4?
You can play PS3 games on the PS4 by using PlayStation Now, it’s a streaming service offered by Sony so you can stream PS3 games on your PS4. It’s like Netflix but for video games, you can play all the available PS3 games on your PS4 by using this service.
However, you would need to have a fast internet connection in order to play the games, around 5Mbps or faster. Because this is a streaming service, there’s no waiting time to install or perform updates on the games you want to play since all the games in PlayStation Now are stored and everything else happens on Sony’s servers and you are just basically streaming the game on your PS4.
How much does PlayStation Now cost and what about the PS3 games I already own?
You can get unlimited access to PlayStation Now’s full library of PS3 games for $19.99 per month, or $44.99 for 3 months. As of now, you can only rent individual games and the pricing depends on which game you would like to play. Titles like Deus Ex: Human Revolution can be rented for 4 hours for $5.
Sony is still probably testing the pricing for PlayStation now since lots of people are saying PlayStation Now is too expensive. Especially since you would also be require to have a PlayStation Plus subscription. You can view the list of available PS3 games here.
One caveat for PS Now is that you still wont be able to play your PS3 discs on your PS4 and you would still need to rent PS3 games on PS now even if you already own them on PSN (digital copy).
If you want to try it out without having to pay for the subscription, PlayStation Now has a 7-day Free Trial.
What About PS2 and PS1 games?
Same with PS3, you cant play PS2 and PS1 games on your PS4. PS and PS1 titles will be available on PlayStation Now in the near future though.
So why did Microsoft introduce backward compatibility for the Xbox One?
No real hard evidence, but it seems that the Xbox department over at Microsoft is simply getting desperate in improving Xbox One sales, this move would surely cannibalize on any potential Xbox 360 sales in favor of the Xbox One. It could improve Xbox One sales but this would sacrifice Xbox 360 sales. This is a total 180-degree move by Microsoft, as during launch, they were still in total support for the 360 as they have even insisted people to opt for the Xbox 360 for offline gaming for those with no internet connections as the Xbox One would require constant internet connection even when playing single player games.
On a side note:
During last console generation, thanks to PS3 homebrew, you can play PS2 games on your PS3 though.
We all know that virtually everything can be done over the internet now. Be it via PCs, laptops and now more popularly by using tablets, smart phones and other mobile devices. As we perform more and more transactions over the internet a lot more these days, concerns over data security has increasingly become even more important.
As more and more people opt to just staying at home and prefer doing their transactions such as banking and purchasing stuff online nowadays, hackers and your usual internet bad guys are always on the prowl on finding ways to maliciously gain access and to hack whatever accounts people may have on the internet. Aside from the usual username and passwords, personal data is one of the top targets that thieves are also usually after, because once they have enough personal data collected on a person, identity theft and gaining access to your accounts, from bank accounts, online store accounts, to gym membership accounts, can now be much more easily hacked.
On the positive side, concerns over data security and the constant threat of hacking has also lead to more and more advances in online data security. Companies develop more and more complex security measures in order to make sure their costumer’s data are safe and secure from thieves.
Data security is extremely crucial for companies especially when huge amounts of money are involve, namely banks who operate online and lets customers do their online transactions such as transfer funds, pay bills and check their balance online, also true for online shopping stores where your personal details and credit card information are also stored, and especially true in the online gaming industry, such as those who operate online casino games and online pokies. As these types of transactions, namely, online gaming, are getting more and more popular these days, huge amounts of money exchange hands and gets transferred from one account to another on a daily basis.
So companies are doing extreme measures to make sure their customer data and money are all kept safe and secure. They make sure they have the latest technologies with regards to online data security and are always up to date with the latest news and developments about what hackers are up to these days and what their new techniques are so that they may be able to proactively conduct counter measures against them.
And due to the natures of their businesses, online banks, online retail shops and online casinos such as mansioncasino.com are the most secured and are virtually impossible to hack places these days. Over the years of constant threats of hacking and security breaches, they have developed very complex and advance security measures in order to combat any threat to their businesses and to make sure their costumers data are safe and secure.]]>
After the release of Movian 5.0, Movian creator Andreas Smas has released the Movian Remote Control where people can use the Movian App itself to control another Movian app running on another device. Sweet!

Yes that’s right, you can now install Linux on your PS4.
First, your PS4 should be running on 1.76 Firmware, as of writing there is still no support for higher firmware (any above 1.76).
What to do:
Note: You will need to get access to the browser from 1.76 without updating your console. How to do so is explained here.
And there you have it, installing Linux on your PS4 is as simple as that. You can use the USB keyboard if you want to do anything with the freshly installed Linux on your PS4.
Now what we are all waiting for is a working CFW for the PS4, and by the look of things, shouldn’t be too far off now.
“Not Enough System Memory” error when trying to launch Linux:

Here’s a simple trick to freeing up space on your iPhone without having to delete anything!
We earlier thought this was another April Fools joke (see the date of posting), but we thought wrong. This trick is indeed legit. I opened up my old iPhone 4s which had about 478mb of free space left and after performing the trick, my free space is now 1.2gb!
And when we checked the phone everything was still there, nothing was deleted (photos, videos, music, apps etc). Just more free space that seem to magically appear out of nowhere WTF!
Sources say the free space you “magically” that the trick forces the iOS to clear cache, deletes unneeded app files stored in the Caches and tmp directories. Apple has yet to comment on this.
PS3 developer arachetous has released an update for his popular PS3 firmware spoofer with PS3 4.78 Spoof Enabler / Disabler v1.20.
The update brings nothing much as expected since the only reason for the update is for the spoofer to be now compatible with the recently released PS3 firmware 4.78 update.
Here’s what’s included in the PS3 4.78 Spoof Enabler / Disabler:
You can download PS3 4.78 Spoof Enabler / Disabler here. (86.65 MB) (Mirror 1)
Just download and install the PKG file, once installed, launch the app and then choose the version of your CFW and the choose to enable or disable the 4.78 spoofer. Select YES to both questions and the PS3 will now reboot and ready to go online.
Note: If your ps3 does not restart correctly, just reinstall your CFW by the recovery mode.]]>
Sony has stated that they already have fixed a “network issue” that users were experiencing after updating their PS Vita to Firmware 3.57 which prevented them from accessing the PlayStation Store.
The issue arose after multiple people reported not being able to access PSN after updating their system with the latest firmware 3.57 update. The Vita would just be stuck with the “Please wait…” message on their systems. Also, the battery seemed to be draining a lot faster after the update, even when it’s set to standby mode.
Lacking any updates from Sony, this prompted some users to come up with some simple fixes for the Vita 3.57 update problems that were able to help fix the PSN connection issue but not the Battery draining problem.
Sony has sent a statement to Kotaku saying that the PSN connection problems were not related to the 3.57 update:
“The network issue that users experienced on their PS Vita was not due to system software 3.57 and is now resolved. Thank you for your patience.”
However, Sony did not elaborate anymore about the PSN connection issue with regards to what was exactly the problem to begin with. And as for the batteries draining too fast after the 3.57 update, they suggested contacting customer service.
“If users face other issues unrelated to accessing the network, we recommend contacting customer support for assistance.”
We’ll just gonna have to wait and see if Sony will release a fix via firmware update to address the battery issue by this stupid 3.57 firmware update.]]>
The recently released PS Vita 3.57 firmware update has been causing all sorts of problems to a lot of users, and until Sony releases a fix for these problems, users experiencing these issues are screwed.
But not anymore, thanks to the internet we have compiled a list of simple fixes that has worked for many other users that you can do to make your PS Vita usable again.
Fix 3 (This came form Sony UK when a user contacted them about it)
And there if you are still encountering any problems just let us know in the comments below.
(UPDATE): A user from Reddit has contacted Sony UK and they have responded saying that they are aware of the issues and are working on a fix but it wont be rolled out in the near future. WTF Sony.
