Hi.. thanks a lot for the tips.
I find it very useful because many people are using this feature in outlook before we are migrating to lotus. Although it was a success in converting the mail, I'm a bit annoyed by the error message that keep coming out after we export the mail. It said " Updating search context" has encountered a problem. Does anybody has a solution on this?

Thanks a lot

@Jingang, Haven't heard of that problem before. Nothing immediately comes to mind. Will need to look into it and will get back to you.

The email export for Lotus Notes works fine. The only problem is that email senders and recipients are not shown as internet mail addresses. Gmail does not recognized them when the mails imported. Any advice?

Thanks

@Greg, Simple answer is the DLLs don't work on Macs. Will need to come up with a manual workaround for accessing those OS specific functions to select your output directory. Will drop you an email once I have some code to test.

Hi matt, I sure can help. The Import DXL agents works fine (the form MimeConvert convert is available in the Create menu); an error arises when running the Email Export agent - "error in loading DLL (48)". After closing this error message, a 2nd error arises "Select output Directory: You have not selected a directory"

I wondered about shell32.dll and user32.dll and how these operated in a Mac environment.

@Greg, Not yet but I can give it a go. Would you be able to help me test it to verify how it works on a Mac? Only have access to PC equipment myself so this makes the change difficult without someone to do the testing for me.

I use Lotus Notes for Mac, is there a tweak to the above code so that it works with Mac?

Thanks,

@Enji, Haven't heard of that issue before. I'm wondering whether it has something to do with your PC locale vs that for Notes, or maybe some internal LotusScript default? How would your PC display a May 15, 2009 as a short date? 15/05/2009, 05/15/2009 or some other format? Is there any chance this only happens for certain senders or senders from certain countries?
I'll add that suggestion to the potential feature list. Thanks.

.
Hi Matt,
lucky I was to find your solution and,
it works fine !
Thank you very much for your effort.
However,
unpredictably (for me), some incoming Notes messages loose their sent-date information when exported as .eml and show a wrong date when opened, like January 12th instead of May 12th, still the source internet header still might have the right information.

Does somebody have an idea ?

Desirable, furthermore, would be a feature
that automatically sets .eml file creation time to the original one.
