Google Plus Opens first API developer system

Google has unveiled the first developer application programming interfaces for Google+, the company’s new social network. This initial API release is focused on public data only, meaning it lets developers create apps that can only read the information that people have shared publicly on Google+. It's been a little over a year since Seagate Technology announced the FreeAgent GoFlex Desk, which offered up to 3TB of storage, and today, the company once again broke the storage barrier by introducing its first 4TB single-volume external hard drive, the 4TB GoFlex Desk. The stock model ships with USB 2.0 / 3.0 support and support for OS X and Windows platforms. The entire unit weighs but 2.38 pounds and checks in at 6.22- x 4.88- x 1.73-inches. Baidu to have a new mobile OS

Baidu, the biggest search engine from China, , has announced today that it will be offering its own mobile OS based on Android. The new OS, called Baidu Yi, will fork off of a version of Android and will strip all Google apps and services to be replaced with ones branded under Baidu. The plans were announced today at the company’s annual Baidu World event in Beijing. Baidu intends to compete directly against Google’s Android distribution in China, other Android variants, and the mobile OS from Alibaba that isn’t based on Android but aims to run Android apps. Google will close 10 services

This week Google has a announced that its will be closing 10 of its experimental services. A Google blog clears, “to make things more simpler and provide a better experience for Google users” this decision is taken out. The products that will not be in Google services are Aardvark, Desktop, Fast Flip, Maps API for Flash, Google Pack, Google Web Security, Image Labeler, Notebook, Sidewiki, and Subscriber Links. Google explains that developers working on the projects will be moved over to work on Google new Google+ social network which is currently still in beta, and other high impact projects. “This will make things much simpler for our users, improving the overall Google experience. It will also mean we can devote more resources to high impact products—the ones that improve the lives of billions of people. All the Googlers working on these projects will be moved over to higher-impact products. As for our users, we’ll communicate directly with them as we make these changes, giving sufficient time to make the transition and enabling them to take their data with them”, said Google’s Alan Eustace. The new link will goes on a page which shows the correct web address and nothing more. goo.gl gives two ways to check a short link. First, put the symbol + at the end of the shortlink. Second way is to use the expression .info at the end of the shortlink.
