OnePlus has recently launched their latest flagship offering the OnePlus 6T which has been a huge success and now today a brand new leaks has suggested that the they are already working on the next generation smartphone for 2019. Now today the latest image leak from leakster Ishan Agarwal which seems to have taken from a meeting at the company’s headquarters showing a mysterious smartphone being presented by CEO Pete Lau .

It can also be seen that the presentation slides contain renders of the prototype smartphone in question which also seem to have significant deviation form the conventional OnePlus design language. The source also claimed that the device shown in the photo is still in the designing stages which means that the final version could potentially look completely different. According to the latest info Samsung has filed trademarks for the ‘Dynamic Vision,’ ‘Private Vision,’ and ‘Detect Vision’ which appears to be some thing related to camera. While the specific information is still scarce the available clues suggest it to relate to some kind of advanced facial recognition system and the company will probably settle for just one name once the tech is announced.

This 3D fingerprint info extracted from the Ultrasonic waves makes it harder to spoof while at the same time it can pass through water and other liquids that might be on your fingers when you’re trying to unlock your phone. This means that new fingerprint scanner tech would provide accurate readings in less-than-ideal conditions. Samsung Galaxy S10 is expected to arrive with lot of improvement in design, recently we reported that the popular leakster Ice Universe has suggested that the upcoming novelty would feature dual secondary camera and would have a unique pill-shaped hole in the display to accommodate it. Samsung's New Patent Hints at High Screen to Body Ratio, Under-Display Camera & Bezel-Less Design

Its just a few days ago we reported about the Samsung Galaxy S10 which is rumored to do away with the iris scanner and now today a new set of patent documents leak suggest that Samsung has plans for complete bezel-less look with massive improvement to its screen to body ratio. Interestingly the brand’s latest patent also showcases that the smartphone utilizes a variety of under-display sensors and fingerprint scanner to make room for the larger display.

According to the patent Samsung would makes use of three layers to implement the new design. The first layer is a bracket consisting a transparent antenna and any necessary sensors such as the front-facing camera and the in-ear speaker. Honor FlyPods Earbuds & Waterplay 8 tablet to be Unveiled on October 31

We already knew that the Honor has plans to introduce a new tablet along with some other devices on October 31. Earlier there were reports that Honor will launch Magic 2 on the same date but now a new report from China suggest that a few new devices such as ,a new tablet dubbed as Honor Waterplay and a ear buds dubbed FlyPods would also be introduced at the event.

Samsung's New Patent Reveals a Foldable Tablet could be Under Development

We are already aware of the fact that Samsung is working on a foldable smartphone tentatively dubbed as Galaxy F and it is expected to debut early next year. Now new patent documents leaked today suggest that Samsung is also working on a foldable tablets. It seems the patent was actually filed back in April 2018 and it envisions a large flexible display device which could be unfolded to be used as a tablet.

The interesting thing about this patent is that it also shows the display can be folded to make it compact as a smartphone, while this action will turn off half the display panel and automatically switch the UI to a smartphone-like experience on the portion that is still active. Alternatively, folding it in the other direction will turn off the display and conceal it , protecting the display and allowing it to be placed easily into a user’s pocket. The patent also shows two thick bezel on either side of the display panel which seems to be intentional but it could also be a constraint that comes with the foldable design. As per the patent documents it seems the device is constructed out of alluminum with a hinge the center which enables it to be foldable. Samsung is expected to introduce the foldable tech to the world with Galaxy F and if that becomes successful we would be able to see more foldable device from them in future which could also include foldable tablet.

Latest Display Patent from Apple Reveals that they are Working on Notch less Design

It seems, attaining the most screen to body ratio display has become the motive of the smartphone manufacturers. Last year Apple started off the controversial trend of notch design on the iPhone X which got widely accepted and implemented by several Chinese manufactures giving us different version on notch design, among's which the latest one being the water drop notch. Now today a few patent document leaks from Apple has revealed that they are working on something better than the notch design.

According to the patent documents Apple intends to incorporate small cut out in the smartphone display in order to accommodate a variety of sensors such as the selfie camera and Face ID elements. Thus, there would be no need for a large notch above the display like that on current iPhone 2018 and thereby giving users ability to utilize most of the available screen space. The patent also explains that in order to achieve this look, few tiny drills would be used on the display creating a ring-shaped incision and once its done, the sensors could be placed inside in the hole. Although this definitely seem to be the next step in urge for maximum screen space, it is most likely that Apple will skip it, since there is much better alternatives out there. For instance Samsung has recently revealed that they are working on new implementations that will allow cameras and other sensors to be hidden beneath OLED panels, which definitely seems to be superior design than what apple is considering in the new patent and something Apple may borrow from Samsung in future.

Samsung Reveals it's Road Map for Future Smartphone Design & Display Tech

Yesterday we reported that Samsung is testing out a a few prototypes that will feature a behind-the-screen selfie cameras in order to make its future smartphones a higher screen-to-body ratio (here). Now today at the Samsung OLED Forum conference the company has confirmed that they are indeed working on a behind-the-screen selfie cameras and also revealed about the other display technologies that they are currently working on.

At the Samsung OLED Forum conference, which was held at the Shenzhen Marriott Hotel in China, Samsung has revealed four new features that will be key to its future smartphone designs, and one of the technology they mentioned was in-display fingerprint scanners. Recent reports has revealed that Samsung may use an Ultrasonic in display fingerprint scanner to the upcoming Galaxy S10 series smartphones and it will be paired with haptic feedback across the whole display, which will become an essential competitor to Apple’s 3D Touch.

The company has further suggested that they are looking into solutions that will allow it to hide the in-ear speaker, and the most logical solution would be a piezoelectric speaker that vibrates the smartphone’s frame in order to produce sound, which was previously seen on Xiaomi's Mi Mix smartphones. They have also stated about behind-the-screen selfie cameras which was expected to arrive in next year’s Galaxy S10 or even the Galaxy Note 10, but the company did not reveal the details regarding its implementation.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 Live Images Leak, to Support 960fps Slow Motion Video Recording

Yesterday we reported about the leaked live images of the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 which revealed the front panel design of the smartphone (here). Now today, the popular leakster XDA developers has revealed that the upcoming Mi MIX 3 will support 960fps slow motion video and also Xiaomi’s CEO Lei Jun has accidentally released some live images of the device which was soon deleted.

According to the XDA developers the Mi MIX 3 is having a code name Perseus and the latest version of Xiaomi's MIUI Camera app contained some interesting code which revealed that the smartphone will offer 960fps slow motion video recording. It also revealed that the 960fps slow motion recording offered by the Mi MIX 3 is actually implemented using frame interpolation method which is currently used in Huawei P20 Pro that provide a lower quality video compare to Sony's XZ Premium or Samsung Galaxy S9, Galaxy S9+ and Galaxy Note 9. Mean while Sony and Samsung are able to offer 960fps slow motion video through a DRAM chip that is part of the camera module, which stores a large number of frames.

Now if we look at the live images of the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 it showcases the Black and Blue color variant with a rear mounted fingerprint sensor, while recent rumors suggest that the device will feature an in-display fingerprint sensor, so it is speculated that there is a possibility more than one variants. We can also see the dual rear cameras placed at the top left corner and bottom panel seems to be having a a USB Type-C with dual speaker grills on either side. Recently there were also reports that Xiaomi is working on a special arts edition Mi Mix 3 in conjunction with the British Museum. Moreover, the limited edition will have 5G capabilities coupled with 10GB of RAM and will be unveiled in Beijing on October 25th.

Last year smartphone manufacturers has started a trend by kicking off gaming centric device with massive battery and super cooling system to provide advanced performance including handset such as Asus ROG Phone, Honor Play, and the latest Huawei Mate 20 X. Now today a new report from Samsung insider has revealed that the company may soon release a game centric smartphone.

According to the industry insider, the gaming devices from Samsung may soon give a tough competition to other gaming smartphones that are currently available in market. However, there is no exact details about this particular smartphone, but last month there were reports that Samsung is working on a mysterious smartphone which will be powered by Snapdragon 845 and it will belongs to the Galaxy A series, it is now speculated that the smartphone could be the same game centric device.
