Fortunately, you can get those juicy feeds in uninterrupted form sent right to your inbox, either as new content appears on the web or as a single daily digest from the sites you care about from FeedMyInbox.

FeedMyInbox, as it rather helpfully states in the name, sends RSS feeds as emails to your inbox. Instead of visiting a third party site where your feeds are stored (think Google Reader or even your Firefox toolbar) or visiting the site itself to check for new content, you’ll receive an email with the details. With their free service, you can subscribed to up to five feeds and will get a daily digest from each site you’ve subscribed to. Inexpensive paid packages allow more subscriptions as well as real-time updates sent to your inbox when there’s new content on your favourite sites.

Now doesn’t that sound delicious?

We trade our time for food (dinner parties), our ideas for business cards (networking events), and chocolate for good behaviour (babysitting). In fact, there’s so much unofficial bartering of goods and services that Swapaskill.com has decided to create a place where people from all over the world can swap their skills or goods for those of others. Impressive testimonials include stories from members who swapped French lessons for a new patio, web design skills for a trip to India and a pair of Jimmy Choos for legal advice (bet you never thought you’d be envious of a lawyer).

It’s free to sign up and the site already seems to have an impressive amount of members from all over the world. In London alone, you can find over 800 people looking to swap anything from plumbing to painting for book writing to book keeping.

While Swapaskill.com is a great idea – and highly reminiscent of the School of Everything, it’s hard to tell how active any of the members are, or exactly what you get out of a swap. “Flooring” may be a reasonable trade for salsa lessons but does that cover materials and installation or will you be left with a pile of tiles on your floor? The issue brings us back to why bartering fell out of style in the first place – with out a set price and value for goods, there’s the danger of someone getting burned.

But bartering bungles aside, Swapaskill.com might be on to something here – thousands of members already seem to think so, and they can’t all be in it for a shot at a pair of Jimmy Choos.

So the next time someone gets in touch to say “the thing on your homepage doesn’t look right” why not send them to Support Details to get the lowdown on their machine? Just by visiting supportdetails.com, a web user will immediately see the details about their operating system, web browser, screen resolution, flash version and more – plus can instantly email the info to you or your web team.

You can also use Support Details to confirm you’ve changed your own settings either when upgrading web resources or testing your own website.

The customer might always be right but that doesn’t help much if they don’t know their javascript from an espresso and keep telling you “the clicky thing is broken.” There’s a reason Support Details calls itself Tech Support Anger Management.

Now that’s supportive.

Now that’s scary.

While you and your friends may not have the time or drive to reengage with the Halloween activities you loved during childhood, thanks to a little clever flash work online, you can cheat your way to holiday festivities and manage all of your pumpkin-carving exploits from your computer – we promise, no pumpkin guts involved.

Theoworlds Halloween online pumpkin carver allows you to carve your virtual pumpkin into an ecard, providing you with the code to send off to your friends however it’s equally fun just to play with the site with no real intention of sending a card on. Besides, just like Halloweens of the past, it’s only your mother who will be impressed with your early attempts at squash stylings.

The site is basic, and unless you’re familiar with digital design, it’s probably just as difficult to create that brilliant pumpkin you have envisioned as it would be if you were actually cutting it. Unlike real pumpkins, however, the Theoworlds site comes with an undo button.

Get in the spirit of Halloween with an activity that will give your inner child a treat. And when you light that virtual candle and turn off the lights… you can almost hear the wails of digital pumpkins past floating through the ether(net).

Unfortunately everything you’ve got is tied up in funds and without a background in finance it seems safer not to risk it.

Why not test the stock market waters at UpDown where you can earn real money for predicting the stock market, while managing a virtual portfolio and competing against all of the other UpDown users to see who can really beat the bust.

Sign up for UpDown and you’ll get $1,000,000 to spend on the stocks of your choice – all prices are determined by the real market and your trading limits and time frames are determined by real world limitations. Each month, you’re eligible to get paid real money if you’re beating the market average and you can also earn cash for writing guides about different companies and their market value or being one of the best performing traders on the site.

When you discover you’re a mega market mogul, it might be time to switch to sniping real world shares but until then, UpDown lets you manage your risk and even offers a bit of reward.

And that sounds like a safe investment.

It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s Aviary, here to save the day with a suite of super web tools to shape up your images.

Aviary is a suite of powerful creative applications that you can use right in your web browser. They’re on a mission to make creation accessible to artists of all genres, from graphic design to audio editing. You can sign up for an account to share and save your work or subscribe to their premium services for even more access. Currently Aviary offers an image editor, effects editor, vector editor, image markup, audio editor and swatch editor. Take a look at Aviary in the video below:

Aviary has a few competitors in the area of online image editing but many similar sites offer their services in a more gimmicky way, allowing users to colour, warp or distort their jpgs. Aviary, on the other hand, seems to be trying to position itself as an online replacement for some of the top enterprise image editing tools while still providing a quick and easy way to make much needed touch ups.

And that’s going to fly with us.

The site, run by a group of fashionable, flirty, fun London women, scours the web and the world for shamelessly appealing household goods, food and drink, handcrafts and fashion.

The Domestic Sluttery team writes, “Domestic Sluttery is a new way of life. Written by women who cook, decorate and design (usually with a glass of wine close to hand) without giving up our lives. We want to make your home your own, without doing very much at all. So you can get on with the rest of your life.”

So whether you want to indulge in National Cupcake Week coverage, see what sumptuous tea set the Sluttery team recommends, discover the most decadent duvet or just get some reassurance that busy, independent, career-driven women can enjoy the domestic side of life as well, Domestic Sluttery has you covered.
