Using photo film camera is passe and majority of us use digital cameras to click images. Being in digital format, you can copy and transfer images to any storage device. We often desire to transfer images from digital camera to our desktop or laptop for leisurely viewing or printing.

Use official digital camera software

Every digital camera is shipped with CD or DVD disc containing photo transfer software. Install that software on your laptop or desktop, connect camera via cable or bluetooth (whatever is available). Then use software program to transfer photos from camera to your PC.

Use 3rd party photo transfer software

How to open PowerPoint (ppt, pps) presentation online

Powerpoint presentation is great way to communicate with graphs, images and statistical data. Ideally, one will require Microsoft Office (PowerPoint) software install on computer to open and edit PowerPoint files or PowerPoint viewer to only view such files. You can open, edit and view any PowerPoint (.ppt, .pps) file online without installing any software at Google Docs.

Open PowerPoint files online at Google Docs

1. Goto http://docs.google.com & login using Gmail / Google account.
2. Click Upload button & click “Select File to Upload” link.

3. Select PowerPoint file in new window & click OK button.
4. Uploaded PowerPoint presentation will appear in list of document. Click on it to open in online editor.

5. Then goto: View > Start Presentation (or press Ctrl + F5) to view uploaded PowerPoint presentation show.

Similarly, you can upload any PowerPoint presentation file and further edit or preview them. You can also share or embed uploaded PowerPoint show using “Share” option at top right.

Shortcut key to select Text in document

keyboard shortcut keys help a lot in perfoming basic tasks quickly. We have already seen keyboard shorcut key to copy and paste text. You can also select specific or all text using keyboard shortcut keys for quick copy or cut of selected text.

Use Ctrl + A keys to select all text in a document. Alternatively, goto Edit > Select All menu option for full text selection.

Move cursor to specific text location using right / left / up / down arrow keys. Then hold and press Shift + right/left arrow keys to select specific text.

1. Goto http://mail.live.com & login into your account.
2. Click Options > More Options at the right.

3. Click “View and edit your personal information” under “Manage your account” option.

4. Click “Change” link under Password reset information.

5. In new window, type old & new password and click Save.

Facebook is a great platform to interact and reach out to online friends / contacts. There are times, you do not want specific friends / contacts to view parts or whole Facebook profile. Privacy settings of your Facebook account allows you to control each and every aspect of Facebook account.

Edit Privacy settings to keep Facebook private

1. Goto Facebook.com & login into your account.
2. Click “Settings” at top right.
3. Click “Manage” link next to Privacy option.

4. Now click “Profile” option on Privacy webpage.
5. Configure sharing of every or selective part of Facebook profile.

From drop down menu select among options: everyone, only friends and friends of friends. You can set different settings for different tasks in Facebook like walls, photos, profile, basic info, personal info and so on. Configure these settings to keep your Facebook profile private and secure.

How to see list of Facebook friends

Facebook is a popular social networking website. Over a period of time, we can have number of friends / contacts added to the Facebook account. You can see list of all friends in your Facebook account and further arrange / edit the listing.

View list of Facebook friends

1. Goto Facebook.com and login into your account.
2. Hover “Friends” option at the top and then click “All Friends”.

3. List of Facebook friends will load. You can selectively edit any friend listing or organize them in different lists by clicking “Create New List” button.
